자동차 선적작업장의 공기오염 실태조사 (Investigation into Air Pollution in Car Shipping Workshop in Pyeongtaek Port)

  • This study purposed to investigate air pollution in car shipping yards and, for this purpose, we selected an outdoor open-air yard and an indoor ramp into the ship and measured the concentrations of sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, PM10, PM2.5 and heavy metals in the air. The results of this study are as follows. No significant difference was observed in temperature and humidity between the outdoor and indoor workshop, and the average air flow was 0.52 m/s in the indoor workshop, which is higher than 0.19 m/s in the outdoor workshop(p<0.01). The average concentrations of sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, PM10 and PM2.5 according to workplace were 0.03 ppm(${\pm}0.01$), 0.03 ppm(${\pm}0.01$), 0.46 ppm(${\pm}0.22$), $39.44{\mu}g/m^3$(${\pm}2.45$) and $5.45{\mu}g/m^3$(${\pm}1.15$) respectively in the outdoor workshop, and 0.15 ppm(${\pm}0.05$), 0.22 ppm(${\pm}0.06$), 8.85 ppm(${\pm}3.35$), $236.39{\mu}g/m^3$(${\pm}58.21$) and $152.43{\mu}g/m^3$(${\pm}35.42$) respectively in the indoor workshop. Thus, the concentrations of gaseous substances in the indoor workshop were 4.9-19.2 times higher than those in the outdoor workshop, and the concentrations of fine dusts were 5.9-27.9 times higher(p<0.01). In addition, according to the result of investigating pollutant concentrations according to displacement and the number of car loaded when shipping gasoline cars into the ship, no significant relation between the number of cars loaded and pollutants was observed in shipping passenger cars, but the concentrations of nitrogen dioxide and carbon monoxide got somewhat higher with the increase of the number of cars loaded(p<0.05). In addition, the concentrations of nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, PM10 and PM2.5 in the air were significantly higher when shipping recreational vehicles, the displacement of which is larger than passenger cars, than when shipping passenger cars(p<0.01). On the other hand, the average heavy metal concentrations of the air in indoor workshop were: lead $-0.05{\mu}g/m^3$(${\pm}0.10$); chromium $-0.90{\mu}g/m^3$(${\pm}0.18$); zinc $-0.38{\mu}g/m^3$(${\pm}0.24$); copper $-0.18{\mu}g/m^3$(${\pm}0.22$); and manganese and cadmium not detected. In addition, the complaining rates of 'asthma,' a major symptom of chronic respiratory diseases, were 18.5% and 22.5% respectively in indoor workers and outdoor workers. Thus the rate was somewhat higher in indoor workers but the difference was not statistically significant. The complaining rates of 'chronic cough' and 'chronic phlegm' were very low and little different between indoor and outdoor workers. The results of this study show that the reason for the higher air pollution in indoor than in outdoor workshop is incomplete combustion of fuel due to sudden start and over-speed when cars are driven inside the ship. In order to prevent high air pollution, efficient management measures should be taken including the observance of the optimal speed, the improvement of old ships and the installation of efficient ventilation system.

한.중 대학생의 주거관에 대한 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study on the Housing Viewpoint between Korean and Chinese University Students)

  • Today, we are living while interchanging with various countries in multilateral measures and residential culture have been changed while interchanging in the same manner. In order to become an internationally recognized residential environment designer in this environment, we must understand the housing viewpoint of residents in that country first. Therefore, this study is intended to obtain the useful materials for residential environment design of Korea and China by comparing the housing viewpoint between Chinese students studying in Korea and Korean students. A survey using questionnaire was conducted on 205 Korean students and 193 Chinese students (Chinese race) from Y University on a random sampling basis. The result of survey is as follows. First, as both Korean and Chinese university students have a similar tendency on previous house type, current house type, and desired house type, it can be understood that they are similar each other in the experience and preference of house type. Second, Korean and Chinese university students consider and as the most important functions of residence, but Chinese university students consider more functions of residence than Korean students. And, both Korean and Chinese students consider a living room as the most important space among housing spaces, but Chinese consider a private room more importantly than Korean. Third, Chinese university students have stronger desire to possess houses, and desire to purchase houses with larger and more rooms at earlier time than Korean university students. Fourth, when selecting the house, Chinese university students give a higher consideration in terms such as , , , , and than Korean university students. Fifth, satisfaction level of Korean students on current houses was average as a whole, and most Chinese students were generally satisfied with their houses. Sixth, as both of Korean and Chinese university students have higher level of consideration in the items such as safety>, , , , , , , , , , and compared to the level of satisfaction, thoughtful consideration should be given to those items in housing planning.

동계 Plastic house내 고추(Capsicum annuum L.) 육묘시 온도와 광도가 생장에 미치는 영향 I. 다중피복 고추육묘 시설내의 온도 및 광환경 영향 (Effects of Temperature and Light Intensity on the Growth of Red Pepper(Capsicum annuum L.) in Plastic House During Winter.   • 동계 무가온 다중피복 plastic house내 고추육묘의 생장에 영향을 미치는 온도, 광도 및 지온의 변화를 노지와 시설내 피복별로 조사 분석하여 고추의 적정 육묘생장 환경과 실제 무가온 다중피복 plastic house내의 환경요인과의 관련성을 파악코자 수행한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 12월 20일부터 2월 25일 까지 P. E.필름으로 4중피복된 턴널내에서도 최저온도는 대부분 5$^{\circ}C$를 보여 고추의 냉해온도에 대한 노출을 피할 수 없었고 이 기간에 최고온도는 대부분 33$^{\circ}C$를 보였으며 극값은 42$^{\circ}C$를 보여 다소간 환기의 필요도 인정되었다. 2. 피복이 증가할수록 온도 일교차가 크게 나타나 노지는 5-1$0^{\circ}C$를 보인 반면 피복내에는 16-38$^{\circ}C$의 일교차를 보였다. 3. 저온기에 다중피복에 의한 보온효과는 뚜렷하였으나 4중피복하에서도 12$^{\circ}C$이하의 온도출현이 많아서 고추 시설내 육묘시 냉해피해 가능성이 상존하며, 3$0^{\circ}C$이상의 고온출현회수도 200회 이상이었다. 4. 광도에 있어서도 피복이 증가할수록 광도는 감소하였고 온도증가는 크게 광의존성이었으며, 최저광도는 피복에 관계없이 고추의 광보상점 이하를 보여주었다. 5. 12월 20일부터 2월 중순까지 기온은 오전 10시 이후에야 고추의 생육한계온도인 10-12$^{\circ}C$이상이 되었고, 오후 4시 이후에는 기온은 12$^{\circ}C$이상이 되어도 광도가 급격히 낮아 고추유묘의 광합성 및 생장에 제한적일 것으로 사료되었다. 6. 시설내 최저지온은 동계 4중피복내에서도 1$0^{\circ}C$내외로서 고추생장에는 생리적 피해온도 범위에 속하였다. 7. 광주지방에 45년간 온도자료를 보면 노지 최저온도의 극값은 1월 5일에 -19.4$^{\circ}C$를 기록하였으며 대부분 장기자료로부터 얻은 평균에서 $\pm$5$^{\circ}C$의 편차를 보였다.

The Variation of Indoor Air Quality in Nursing Home

  • 본 연구는 실내공기질의 실시간 농도변화 분석을 통하여 일시적으로 기준값을 초과하는 항목에 대하여 원인 분석을 통하여 요양원의 쾌적한 실내공기질을 유지하기 위한 방안을 제안하고자 실시하였다. 요양원에서 미세먼지(PM10), 이산화탄소(CO2), 일산화탄소(CO), 휘발성유기화합물(VOC), 라돈(Radon) 등 5개 항목에 대하여 다목적 홀에서 봄(4월), 가을(9월)에 각1회 측정을 실시한 결과 측정 항목 모두 실내공기질 관리법에서 정한 기준을 만족하는 것으로 분석되었다. 실시간 농도 변화에 대한 분석 결과 병실의 경우 이산화탄소의 농도가 재실자 수에 의하여 기준치에 근접하는 수준을 보였으며 다목적 홀의 경우 이산화탄소 및 미세먼지는 주간보호 대상 어르신 및 근무자의 프로그램 활동과 휘발성유기화합물의 경우 식탁을 소독하기 위하여 사용하는 소독제(알코올) 및 만들기, 색칠하기 등의 프로그램 운용시 사용되는 보조도구(접착제)로 인하여 일시적으로 기준치를 초과하는 것으로 분석되었다. 결국 측정 대상 요양원에서는 온열환경을 고려하여 주기적인 환기, 천연소독제 사용 및 친환경 접착제 사용 등을 실시한다면 쾌적한 실내공기질 제공이 가능하고 요양원의 경쟁력 확보에도 기여할 것으로 판단된다.

미세먼지(PM10) 추세를 고려한 환경계획 적용 방향 제안 (Application of Environmental Planning Considering the Trend of PM10 in Ambient Air)

  • 대기 중의 미세먼지(PM10) 농도가 꾸준히 저감되어 왔음에도, 미세먼지관리에 대한 대국민 인식은 악화되었다. 그 이유에는 첫째, 여전히 WHO기준을 상회하는 미세먼지 연평균 농도, 둘째, 환경기준(150 mg/㎥) 초과일수의 증가, 셋째, 체계적으로 지역 특성을 고려한 환경계획 수립 미비 등이 있으며, 이러한 현안을 보완하는 것이 시급하다. 특히, 국내 미세먼지의 관리는 배출원 저감에만 집중되어 있기 때문에, 지역별 미세먼지의 발생원인과 현상을 분석하고 차별성, 시급성, 적용 가능성 등을 복합적으로 고려하여 실효성 있는 환경계획을 수립하는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 2010년 이후 10년간 전국 69개 도시의 미세먼지의 농도변화 추세와 현재 수준을 고려하여 4가지 유형으로 분류하고, 각 유형별 미세먼지의 관리방향을 제시하였다. 특히 과거 10년 동안 미세먼지 개선정도가 미비하였던 관리유형 III(중부 내륙지역에 분포)과 IV(대도시, 남해·동해에 인접)를 중심으로 그린인프라 확충, 바람길 및 적응대책(노출의 제한) 도입 등의 보완 조치가 우선 필요함을 제안하였다. 본 연구에서는 미세먼지 발생 원인을 함께 고려하지 못하였지만, 과거의 경향에 기초하고 현재의 여건을 고려한 중·장기적 미세먼지 환경관리계획을 수립하는데 필요한 통계적 기법 제시와 방향을 제안하였다는 의의가 있다.

지게차 사용 사업장에서 디젤엔진배출물질 노출지표에 관한 연구 (A Study on Exposure Indices for Diesel Engine Exhaust in Forklift Operating Areas)

  • Objectives: The objective of this study was to determine the exposure levels of forklift operators to diesel engine exhaust(DEE) using black carbon(BC), elemental carbon(EC), and nitrogen dioxide($NO_2$) as indicators. Methods: A total of eight forklift operators in six collection companies were assessed over a period of two months from July to September 2015. BC was measured using a real-time monitor and respirable EC samples were analyzed using the NIOSH method 5040. $NO_2$ samples were collected using a passive badge-type sampler. Results: The geometric mean of BC, EC and $NO_2$ were $3.1-19.1{\mu}g/m^3$, $2.1-23.8{\mu}g/m^3$, and 12.5-166.6 ppb at all companies. When forklifts were operating both outside and inside, BC concentrations increased 2.0-5.6 times. The highest increase was observed when forklifts were operating indoors. The increase in BC concentrations varied by company(company A: 2.0 times, B: 3.2 times, C: 5.6 times, D: 2.1 times, E: 5.1 times, F: 2.6 times). The geometric mean of BC, EC, and $NO_2$ for the forklift operators was $9.6{\mu}g/m^3$, $7.9{\mu}g/m^3$, and 48.9 ppb, respectively. The geometric mean of BC, EC, and $NO_2$ for manufacturing workers was $9.3{\mu}g/m^3$, $0.9{\mu}g/m^3$, and 85.2 ppb, respectively. The mean BC and EC exposure levels for the forklift operators were slightly higher than those for manufacturing workers, but $NO_2$ levels for manufacturing workers were higher than those for the forklift operators(p>0.05). Multiple regression analysis revealed that diesel exhaust emissions standard, forklift weight and forklift manufacturer were the most influential factors in determining worker exposure. Conclusions: In the DEE work environment, workers who perform tasks within the workplace as well as inside forklifts as operators are likely to be exposed to a lack of ventilation. Further study of forklift operators' exposure to DEE indicators should be conducted to include a wider range of occupational and environmental situations, such as collection procedures, seasonal situations, types of fuel used, and number of forklifts.

독립영양방식 액체대량배양 시스템하에서 배양한 체세포배 유래 음나무 기내묘의 생장과 광합성 (The Photoautotrophic Culture System Promotes Photosynthesis and Growth of Somatic Embryo-derived Plantlets of Kalopanax septemlobus)

  • 당이 첨가되지 않은 액체배지를 이용한 광독립영양법은 기내배양시 대량배양에 많은 장점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 광독립영양배양 시스템을 이용하여 체세포배발생을 경유해 대량증식 된 음나무의 대량생산 시스템을 보고하고자 한다. 이를 위해 체세포배에서 발아한 음나무 기내묘는 3가지 배양 방식, 즉 $30gL^{-1}$ 당이 첨가된 1/2MS 고체배지에서 배양한 종속영양 배양(무처리구), 당이 첨가되지 않은 1/2MS 고체배지에서 배양, 그리고 당이 첨가되지 않은 1/2MS 액체배지에서 강제환기를 시켜준 독립영양 배양하에서 4주간 배양되었다. 순화전 각 배양환경하에서 자란 식물체들의 엽면적, 광합성량, 엽록소함량, 생장량 등을 조사하였다. 그 결과 독립영양하에서 생장한 유식물체의 생장이 가장 좋았으며 엽록소 함량 및 순광합성량도 대조구에 비해 월등히 증가하였다. 독립영양배양 시스템하에서 생장한 식물체들은 이후 토양에서 100% 순화되었다. 본 결과에서 배양 마지막 단계에 당이 첨가되지 않은 액체배지에 배양하는 독립영양배양 방식이 기내배양묘의 순화율을 증가시키고 기외 활착율을 높임으로서 체세포배 유래 음나무의 대량생산에 효율적인 것으로 나타났다.

다발성 늑골골절 및 Flail Chest 환자에서 Judet's strut를 이용한 수술적 고정술 105례 (Treatment of Multiple Rib Fracture and Flail Chest with Judet's Strut-105 Case REport-)

  • 저자들은 1989년 8월부터 1995년 8월까지 흉부외상으로 인한 다발성 늑골골절 및 유동흉이 발생한 105례의 환자에게 Judet's strut를 이용한 늑골고정술로 치험하였다. 전체 환자중 86명이 남성, 19명이 여성이었으며 연령분포는 17세부터 77세로 평균연령은 $48\pm12였다.$ 흉부외상의 원인은 교통사고가 85명(81%)으로 가장 많았다. 평균 늑골골절의 수는 5.5개였으며 환자는 유동흉환자가 72명(64%), 이탈이 심한 다발성 늑골골절이 18명(17.1%), 외상성 흉벽기형이 10명(9.5%), 기타 5명(4.7%) 등이었다. 수술 후 1명이 사망하여 사망율 0.96%를 보였고 총 13명의 환자에서 합병증이 발생하여 12.3%의 발생율을 보였다. 수술후 인공호흡기 치료기간은 평균 $90.5\pm22.6시간,$ 동맥혈 검사상 PO2는 수술전 평균 $62.8\pm9.mmHg에서$ 수술후 평균 $113.0\pm26.3mmHg로$ 개선되었다. 수술 결과 인공호흡기 치료기간 및 입원기간의 단축, 흉부손상에 의한 합병증의 감소등 기존의 치료 방법에 비해 우수함을 알 수 있었다. 또한 본 술식은 누구나 시행할 수 있으며, 향후 흉부손상에 의한 다발성 늑골골절 및 유동흉 환자에서 폐좌상의 정도가 전체 용적의 30% 미만의 경우 치료 \ulcorner일차적으로 고려되어질 수 있는 치료법으로 여겨진다.

작업환경과 조건이 근로자의 스트레스에 미치는 영향 (Working Environments and Working Conditions Affecting Workers' Stress Symptoms)

  • There has been a rapid industrial progress in Korea since 1962 by the success of 5-year economic development plan, and the number of industrial work has also made a rapid increase. Consequently, the management of the occupational health for the purpose of promoting the health of industrial workers and improving the working environment is badly needed in these days. Health services on industrial noisy environment have been provided only for noise-induced hearing loss management until now. But gradually, modem diseases and death have come to be related to the stress and mental health, therefore noise-induced mental disorder, like a stress became very important. Thus, this study has been carried out to analyze the relationship between workers' stress symptoms and the perceived working environment and the perceived working conditions. This study included 786 industrial workers selected from II factories in Buchun. The results were as follows: 1. For demographic characteristics, most of the workers were males(75.7%), the 20~29 years old were 33.8% and those who graduated from high school were 56.1%. The workers whose monthly income ranged from 700,000 to 1,500,000 won were 37.9% and who has a religion were 49.0%. 2. For occupational characteristics, workers who had worked 5~10 years in the factories were 35.8%. Those who felt much for them workload were 42.7% and who worked more than 8 hours a day were 73.7%. Those who were dissatisfied with their pay and job were 51.1 % and 31.2%. The workers who responded ventilation condition of their worksites were bad were 50.4% and the dissatisfied with working environment of their worksites were 43.8%. 3. For the noise exposure level in worksite, workers who were exposed to 70∼90㏈ were 37.4%, 90∼100㏈ were 25.2% and 50∼70㏈ were 18.8%. 4. Workers∼ stress symptoms were significantly related to marital status and their monthly income(P〈0.05). Workers who were single and had lower monthly income showed higher PSI(Psychiatric Symptom Index) scores than those who were married and had higher monthly income. Higher PSI scores were also significantly related to the night-work, workload, dissatisfaction with their job, and bad relationship with their bosses or co-workers. 5. The higher noise exposure level in worksite from 80㏈ was, the more severe stress symptoms including PSI subparts were reported; Anxiety, Anger, Depression, and Cognitive disorder symptom(P〈0.001). 6. According to the results of stepwise multiple regression analysis, factors affecting workers' PSI scores were noise exposure level in worksite(R2=0.150), relationship with coworkers, amount of workload, monthly income and relationship with bosses orderly and the total R2 of this 6 factors was 29.7%.

Polydopamine (PDA)-TiO2 코팅 유리섬유 직물을 이용한 VOCs의 저감 성능 및 항균성 연구 (Reduction of VOCs and the Antibacterial Effect of a Visible-Light Responsive Polydopamine (PDA) Layer-TiO2 on Glass Fiber Fabric)

  • Background: Indoor air pollutants are caused by a number of factors, such as coming in from the outside or being generated by internal activities. Typical indoor air pollutants include nitrogen dioxide and carbon monoxide from household items such as heating appliances and volatile organic compounds from building materials. In addition there is carbon dioxide from human breathing and bacteria from speaking, coughing, and sneezing. Objectives: According to recent research results, most indoor air pollution is known to be greatly affected by internal factors such as burning (biomass for cooking) and various pollutants. These pollutants can have a fatal effect on the human body due to a lack of ventilation facilities. Methods: We fabricated a polydopamine (PDA) layer with Ti substrates as a coating on supported glass fiber fabric to enhance its photo-activity. The PDA layer with TiO2 was covalently attached to glass fiber fabric using the drop-casting method. The roughness and functional groups of the surface of the Ti substrate/PDA coated glass fiber fabric were verified through infrared imaging microscopy and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM). The obtained hybrid Ti substrate/PDA coated glass fiber fabric was investigated for photocatalytic activity by the removal of ammonia and an epidermal Staphylococcus aureus reduction test with lamp (250 nm, 405 nm wavelength) at 24℃. Results: Antibacterial properties were found to reduce epidermal staphylococcus aureus in the Ti substrate/PDA coated glass fiber fabric under 405 nm after three hours. In addition, the Ti substrate/PDA coated glass fiber fabric of VOC reduction rate for ammonia was 50% under 405 nm after 30 min. Conclusions: An electron-hole pair due to photoexcitation is generated in the PDA layer and transferred to the conduction band of TiO2. This generates a superoxide radical that degrades ammonia and removes epidermal Staphylococcus aureus.
