A Design of Heart Rate Feedback Controller for the Regimen of Physical Activity of the Patient with Coronary Artery Disease (관상동맥질환자의 운동요법을 위한 심장 박동궤환조절기의 설계)

  • The regimen of physical activity of the patient with coronary artery disease requires that he should not overshoot the prescribed heart rate based on his age, health and fuctional status of the heart during his exercise. The step input of work load, however, involves a great danger of overshooting. The purpose of this study was to desigil a system that makes it passible for a subject to check the overshooting. This system shows on tile H.R-meter, the amplified and filtered heart-rate signal of the subject received by the photosensor on his earlobe, puts it in the lead coinpensational circuit where it is conpared with the reference input signal(=the presfribed heart rate). The output of the lead compensational circuit works the aull meter. By means of this null meter, the subject knows whether he is overshooting the prescribed heart rate or not. He can continue the natl meter needle at the'Zero'position through the control of the speed of pedaling of the bicycle ergometer, An experimental test, made on eight men and four women in healthy condition, showed that 91. 7% of them vlaintained the stable heart rate and that the overshooting of the desired heart rate did not exceed $\pm$2BPM. According to the result of this experiment, since the heart rate feedback controller makes it possible for the subject to take the prescribed exercise based not on the work load but on the heart rate which incidentally is inexpensive, it can be made use of as the instrument for the regimen of pflysical activity by the patient with coronary artery disease.

[ H2S (22,0 - 21,1) ] OBSERVATIONS TOWARD THE SGR B2 REGION

  • The $H_2S\;(2_{2,0} - 2_{1,1})$ line emission is observed to be strongly localized toward Sgr B2(M), and emissions from other positions in the more extended SgrB2 region are almost negligible. $H_2S$ is thought to form effectively by the passage of the C-type shocks but to be quickly transformed to $SO_2$ or other sulfur species (Pineau des Forets et al. 1993). Such a shock may have enhanced the $H_2S$ abundance in Sgr B2(M), where massive star formation is taking place. But the negligible emission of $H_2S$ from other observed positions may indicate that these positions have not been affected by shocks enough to produce $H_2S$, or if they have experienced shocks, $H_2S$ may have transformed already to other sulfur-containing species. The $SO_2\;22_{2,20} - 22_{1,21}$ line was also observed to be detectable only toward the (M) position. The line intensity ratios of these two molecules appear to be very similar at Sgr B2(M) and IRAS 16239-2422, where the latter is a region of low-mass star formation. This may suggest that the shock environment in these two star-forming regions is similar and that the shock chemistry also proceeds in a similar fashion in these two different regions, if we accept shock formation of these two species.

  • The object of International License Contract is technology. Technology is means to produce visible goods, which are human's intellectual creations such as Intellectual Property Right - patent, design, trademark- and Know-how. Unlike visible goods which decrease as being used, these technologies are possible to be produced expansively and develop additionally. Therefore, the way to make a contract of goods is a sales contract which transfers ownership while technology follows license contract which gives approval of use for a certain period. International license contract means that licensor has right to possess, allows licensee to use licensed technology for a fixed period and takes royalty. So there are various matters such as selection of the duration of a contract, confirmation of technology range, competition limitation, technique guidance and support, calculation of royalty, withholding tax between parties. This study examines licensor's grant of license and competition limitation. Intellectual property rights fundamentally give exclusive rights to the creator so the licensor use or dispose of his or her intellectual property rights at will. Technology transfer is possible through license contract because of this right. But licensor must exercise his or her intellectual property rights within a reasonable limit. It means, when licensor makes an unreasonable demand abusing his or her position, it is regarded as competition limitation clause and the deal itself may become null. Therefore, restraint on competition needs to be examined in detail as it influences on contract validity. Each country has their own competition laws for establishing a fair market order and inspection guide and guideline for judging whether there is any unfair act related to intellectual property rights. Judgment on intellectual property rights is subject the technology-introduced country's domestic laws and thus, contracting parties each need to precede opposite nation's domestic laws system.

Validation of a new three-dimensional imaging system using comparative craniofacial anthropometry

  • Background: The aim of this study is to validate a new three-dimensional craniofacial stereophotogrammetry imaging system (3dMDface) through comparison with manual facial surface anthropometry. The null hypothesis was that there is no difference between craniofacial measurements using anthropometry vs. the 3dMDface system. Methods: Facial images using the new 3dMDface system were taken from six randomly selected subjects, sitting in natural head position, on six separate occasions each 1 week apart, repeated twice at each sitting. Exclusion criteria were excess facial hair, facial piercings and undergoing current dentofacial treatment. 3dMDvultus software allowed facial landmarks to be marked and measurements recorded. The same measurements were taken using manual anthropometry, using soluble eyeliner to pinpoint landmarks, and sliding and spreading callipers and measuring tape to measure distances. The setting for the investigation was a dental teaching hospital and regional (secondary and tertiary care) cleft centre. The main outcome measure was comparison of the craniofacial measurements using the two aforementioned techniques. Results: The results showed good agreement between craniofacial measurements using the 3dMDface system compared with manual anthropometry. For all measurements, except chin height and labial fissure width, there was a greater variability with the manual method compared to 3D assessment. Overall, there was a significantly greater variability in manual compared with 3D assessments (p < 0.02). Conclusions: The 3dMDface system is validated for craniofacial measurements.

Development and Utilization of KASP Markers Targeting the Lipoxygenase Gene in Soybean

  • Lipoxygenase gives soybeans their grassy flavor, which can disrupt food processing efficiency. This study aimed to identify soybean genotypes with lipoxygenase deficiency among 1,001 soybean accessions and to develop kompetitive allele specific PCR (KASP) markers that can detect lipoxygenase mutations. Three lipoxygenase isozymes (Lox1, Lox2, and Lox3) were analyzed using a colorimetric assay based on a substrate-enzyme reaction. Among the 1,001 accessions examined, two (IT160160 and IT276392) exhibited a deficiency solely in Lox1, and one (IT269984) lacked both Lox1 and Lox2. IT160160 had a 74-bp deletion in exon 8 of Lox1 (Glyma13g347600), whereas IT276392 displayed a missense mutation involving the change of C to A at position 2,880 of Lox1. Moreover, we successfully developed four KASP markers that specifically target Lox1, Lox2, and Lox3 mutations. To validate the Lox1 KASP markers, we used two F2:3 populations generated through a cross between Daepung 2 (lipoxygenase wild type, maternal parent), IT160160, and IT276392 (null Lox1, paternal parent). The results revealed that the Daepung 2 × IT160160 group followed the expected 3:1 ratio according to Mendel's law, whereas the Daepung 2 × IT276392 group did not. Furthermore, a comparison between the colorimetric and KASP marker analyses results revealed a high agreement rate of 96%. KASP markers offer a distinct advantage by allowing the distinction of heterozygous types independent of other variables. As a result, we present an opportunity to expedite the lipoxygenase-deficient cultivar development.

ANOVA of Satisfaction based on Navigation Location and Number of Items in Mobile Applications (모바일 어플리케이션의 네비게이션 위치와 항목 수에 따른 만족도에 대한 분산 분석)

  • The user interface is a very important factor in application usability. The user interface of a typical application has a navigation system and the selection of the item takes place to move the movement. In this study, we would like to see if there are differences in user satisfaction depending on the location of the navigation and the number of items. The methods of in this study, a random group of 135 adult men and women who randomly selected four to six items as independent variables was conducted on the top, bottom, side, and three locations of navigation in a typical application. As a result, the navigation system rejected the null hypothesis of 0.000 and 0.008 respectively, with a significant probability of 0.05 or less than 0.000 and 0.008, respectively. It was also confirmed that the study theory of whether the interaction of navigation location and number of items creates a difference in satisfaction was significant with a significant probability of 0.016. In the post-analysis (Schefe), there were significant differences in the position of navigation, as each group was classified as a new group at the top <bottom <, and in the number of items, there were significant differences between the two groups of six <4 . Conclusion of this research, depending on the results of some significant differences in satisfaction with the location of the navigation and the number of items, it can be seen that the satisfaction of the interface increases when the navigation position is located at the bottom. However, follow-up research is needed on whether side-type navigation is suitable for different mobile sizes.
