The safety and effectiveness of colonoscopy in the investigation of lower gastrointestinal tract pathology in children has been established for more than 2 decades in Korea. The skill and experience have since advanced to the point that both diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy are now routinely performed by most pediatric gastroenterologists. Pediatric colonoscopy differs significantly from its adult parallels in nearly every aspect including patient and parent management and preparation, selection criteria for sedation and general anesthetic, bowel preparation, expected diagnoses, instrument selection, imperative for terminal ileal intubation, and requirement for biopsies from macroscopically normal mucosa. Investigation of inflammatory bowel disease, whether for diagnosis or follow-up evaluation, and suspected colonic polyps are the most common indication for pediatric colonoscopy. The child who presents with signs and symptoms of lower gastrointestinal disorder should undergo colonoscopy with biopsy to make the diagnosis, as well as to help determine the appropriate therapy. This review introduces practical information on pediatric colonoscopy, the author's experiences, and the role of colonoscopic examination in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric lower gastrointestinal disorders.

Paraquat is a useful nonselective herbicide widely used throughout the world. However, accidental or intentional ingestion of the paraquat cause fetal pulmonary injuring. But there is not suitable antidote of paraquat intoxication and therapeutic agents now be used are not effective. So, in this study we intended to evaluate the inhibitory effects of DDB(dimethyl-4,4'dimethoxy-5,6,5',6'-dimethylene dioxyphenyl-2,2'-dicarboxylate) on paraquat toxicity. DDB (100mg/kg) was administered orally to SD rats lhr after paraquat(50mg/kg) injection. After 24 hours, the biochemical parameters of blood and tissues were examined. In paraquat treated groups sGPT, sGOT, BUN, creatinine, MDA and alkaline phosphatase levels in blood and MDA, glucose-6-phosphatase activity in tissues were elevated by 2 to 5 times of normal values. However in schizandrin treated groups, sGPT, sGOT, MDA and alkaline phosphatase activity in blood and MDA and glucose-6-phosphatase activity were significantly decreased to notmal levels but not in biochemical parameters of nephrotoxicity, BUN and creatinine levels. Therefore, we concluded that schizandrin can be used as an antidote of pulmono, hepatotoxicity of paraquat.

Superconducting racetrack coils are used in areas of generators, motors, wiggler magnets and so on. Especially now a days many advanced nations including U.S., Japan are developing high temperature superconducting(HTS) wire which has better performance than low temperature superconducting(LTS) wire. Most of HTS wires such as Bi-2223 are manufactured with PIT(Power In Tube Method) process, so the shape of the wire looks like tape different from LTS wire of round shape as normal conductors. Generally HTS racetrack coils are composed of a few partial double-pancake colis and then the double-pancakes are jointed each other according to their applications.

1984년 3월 영남대학교 의과대학 부속병원 산부인과에 자궁외 임신 진단하에 입원하여 응급 개복수술을 시행한 환자에서 일측 자궁부속기 제거술 후 발생한 원발성으로 의심되는 초기 복강 임신 1예를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고 하였다.

1946년 Metz가 처음으로 acoustic impedance bridge를 창안한 이후 많은 발전을 거듭하며 지금은 임상에 널리 이용되고 있으며 청각학에 많은 공헌을 하고 있다 우리나라에서도 이제 한국인의 정상치를 비롯한 많은 실험적 연구가 계속되고 있다. 저자는 본원에서 사용하고 있는 teledyne impedance (Model TA-ID)를 이용하여 나타난 Type C 때의 다음의 상관관계, 1. 이경소견과의 비교 2. 순음청력 역치와의 관계 3. Stapedial reflex와의 관계 4. 중이강내 압력과 참출물과의 상관관계 등을 조사하여 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

Lingual thyroid is the term applied to a mass of ectopic thyroid tissue located on the base of the tongue in the midline. It may be found anywhere between the circumvallate papillae and the epiglottis. It is believed to be caused by developmental anomalies involving the descent of the embryologic gland anlage from its position posterior to the tuberculum impar to its normal pretracheal location between week 3 and week 7 of embryologic development. Differential diagnosis of the lingual thyroid would include lingual tonsillar hypertrophy, vallecular cyst, thyroglossal duct cyst, epidermal cyst, lymphoma. Lingual thyroid is found in approximately 1 in 100,000 people, and affected individuals have no other thyroid tissue in 70% to 100% of cases. Recently, we have experienced a case of lingual thyroid with mild dysphagia in a 48-year-old male. Now we report the case with literature review.

Korea Aerospace Research Institute has developed an earth observation satellite whose primary mission objective is to provide high resolution electro optical earth images for Geographical Information Systems (GIS) establishment and the applications for environmental, agriculture and ocean monitoring. It was successfully launched into its mission orbit by using a commercial launch vehicle on 18th of May, 2012. This paper describes a series of launch activity at the launch site including its transportation to the launch site. Before conducting the launch site operation, satellite operation plane was prepared. Combining the satellite operation plan and launch vehicle activities, an integrated launch site operation plan and schedule have been drawn up. After arrival of the spacecraft at the launch site, post-ship check out has been conducted. And then it was fuel loaded and integrated with launch vehicle hardware. After completion of final electrical check out, count down procedure was executed. on 18th of May, it was launched into the space and was separated from the launch vehicle as planned. About 3 months of early operation and calibration/validation, now the satellite is conducting its normal mission.

Occupancy sensor is a efficient light control system which light on/off automatically and reduces the unnecessary power waste. From now the research on occupancy sensor is restricted to the selection of the appropriate place or sensor. Exist occupancy sensor changes the delay time by manually to the place or situation, so it is unreliable. The delay time can been changed by the average time of the occupied and the preset time, but it is not enough to reliable. In this paper, so to acquire the reliance the average and the standard deviation of the occupied time change the delay time automatically and protect the malfunction from the detector. And to embody it, AT89C52 microcontroller is adopted to the control circuit. It is verified by simulation and experiment results of output characteristic for randomized input.

Behavior of saw-dust concrete has not studied because many people have thought that saw-dust concrete cannot be applicable for structural member, up to now. This study is to findout how much the concrete can be structurally applicated. 5mm grid sieve was used to select satisfactory sawdust for better concrete quality. Test molds size of ${\phi}10{\times}20cm$ long were made of normal without sawdust, 0.05%, 0.1%, 0.2%, 0.4%, 0.6%, 0.8%, 1.0%, 1.2%, 1.4%, 1.6%, 1.8% 2.0%, for making concrete strengh of 180kg, 210kg, 240kg, 270kg which they are normally used in practice presently. A various strengths tests such as compressive splitting tensile, flexible strength behavior of structural member named beam using size of $20{\times}30{\times}120cm$ have been done for the structural aspects. Tensile strength shows that it can be more affected than higher strength of it.

The selection of an appropriate surgical technique for repair of aneurysm of the ascending aortia with aortic insufficiency is unsettled. The etiology of the disease process has been the best indicator for the type of repair. Placement of a supracoronary graft[seperate graft and valve] is a compromise if the coronary ostia are displaced cephalad by the aneurysm, where as insertion of a valved conduit is difficult and unnecessary if the coronary ostia are normally placed. A 53 year old female patient underwent primary repaiar of proximal dissected layer and aortic valve replacement with 24mm carbomedics, The operative findings consisted of a supravalvular intimal tear, cicumferential dissection, dilated aortic annulus and normal position of coronary ostia. She is good physical activity now llmonths posoperatively.
