Efficient computational method for joint distributions of heights and periods of nonlinear ocean waves

  • This paper proposes a novel method for efficient prediction of joint distributions of heights and periods of nonlinear ocean waves. The proposed novel method utilizes a transformed linear simulation which is based on a Hermite transformation model where the transformation is chosen to be a monotonic cubic polynomial, calibrated such that the first four moments of the transformed model match the moments of the true process. This proposed novel method is utilized to predict the joint distributions of wave heights and periods of a sea state with the surface elevation data measured at the Gulfaks C platform in the North Sea, and the novel method's accuracy and efficiency are favorably validated by using comparisons with the results from an empirical joint distribution model, from a linear simulation model and from a second-order nonlinear simulation model.

  • 이 연구는 최근 인터넷 및 모바일 플랫폼에서 인기를 얻고 있는 웹소설의 이용 특성이 콘텐츠의 몰입, 이용자의 만족도, 그리고 지속적인 이용의도에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 338명의 웹소설 이용자를 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 설문 조사 결과, 웹소설 이용자는 콘텐츠 사용 과정에서 도전감과 숙련도를 느낄수록 몰입감이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 웹소설에 대한 몰입감은 웹소설의 만족도와 지속적인 이용의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤고, 웹소설에 대한 만족도가 높을수록 지속적인 이용의도도 높았다. 이러한 결과는 웹소설 이용자들의 몰입감을 높이기 위해서는 도전감과 숙련감을 느낄 수 있도록 해야 한다는 사실을 보여준다. 아울러 이용자들이 웹소설을 지속적으로 이용하도록 하기 위해서는 웹소설의 몰입감과 만족도를 높이는 것이 필요하다는 것을 알 수 있다.

  • 본 연구는 이청준 소설 「눈길」을 통한 독서치유의 수업사례이다. 독서치유는 독서를 통한 동일화, 카타르시스, 표출, 통찰, 적용과정을 거쳐 진행된다. 연구를 통해 학생들은 소설 속 인물의 상황을 객관적으로 살펴보고, 이를 자신의 상황과 비교해서 바라보게 된다. 학생들은 소설 속 인물의 상황을 평가하고, '내가 만약 소설 속인물이라면 어떻게 할 것인지'에 대한 답을 통해 소설 속 인물의 다양한 삶의 입장을 경험하고, 자신은 그들의 삶과 다르게 살아갈 것이라는 자신의 의지를 표출한다. 그러면서 나와 부모님과의 관계를 들여다보고, 문제가 있는지, 있으면 어떻게 해결해나갈 것인지에 대해 진지하게 고민해본다. 이러한 과정을 통해 학생들은 자신의 감정과 문제의 상황을 살펴보고 해결할 수 있는 방법을 구체적으로 제시하게 된다. 결국 독서를 통해 학생들의 상처받은 감정은 일정부분 혹은 충분히 치유될 수 있는 것이다. 이 연구를 통해 독서치유의 방법이 좀더 구체화되고, 긍정적인 방향으로 발전하기를 기대한다.

  • This study intended to review the historical mate selection process and to present wholesome mate selection process. For this purpose, reviewing the contents of secondary sources and novel literature. The following conclusions were drawn from this study: Mate selection process was a kind of culture which was influenced by social atmosphere. And pre-17th century, most of the young people had social intercourse liberally. Therefore we must constitute wholesome mate selection culture through early socialization about heterosexual social intercourse.

  • A novel electroplating process is described and effects of anode lay-out thickness distribution and on platiting rate are discussed. Microphotograhic analysis indicates are compact and less "POROUS " than of barrel and rack. With this process production cost reduction and capacity increase could be achieved by a rate of 60% and 97% respectively, as compared to our present barrel plating process. This process disclose a number of beneficial processes such as color coding system on TO-92 package and development of a new tin bath formula.

Anti-Angiogenic Activity of Acalycixenolide E, a Novel Marine Natural Product from Acallycigorgia inermis

  • Angiogenesis is known as a crucial process in the growth and spreading of tumor cells. Accordingly, the effective inhibition of this process would appear to be a promising way to cure angiogenesis-related diseases, including cancer. This study demonstrates that acalycixenolide E (AX-E) from the marine organism Acalycigorgia inermis exhibits a potent anti-angiogenic activity both in vitro and in vivo. AX-E inhibits the bFGF-induced proliferation of HUVECs in a dose dependent manner, along with the bFGF-induced migration, invasion, and tube formation of HUVECs. Moreover, AX-E potently inhibits the in vivo neovascularization of the chorioallantoic membranes (CAMs) of growing chick embryos. interestingly, AX-E suppresses the expression of metalloproteases 2 and 9, yet shows no effect on their activities. The novel chemical structure and potent anti-angiogenic activity of AX-E will be of great value in elucidating the molecular mechanism of angiogenesis as well as in the development of a novel anti-angiogenic drug.

Novel Synthesis Method and Electrochemical Characteristics of Lithium Titanium Oxide as Anode Material for Lithium Secondary Battery

  • Lithium titanium oxide as anode material for energy storage prepared by novel synthesis method. Li$_{4}$Ti$_{5}$O$_{12}$ based spinel-framework structures are of great interest material for lithium-ion batteries. We describe here Li$_{4}$Ti$_{5}$O$_{12}$ a zero-strain insertion material was prepared by novel sol-gel method and by high energy ball milling (HEBM) of precursor to from nanocrystalline phases. According to the X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy analysis, uniformly distributed Li$_{4}$ Ti$_{5}$O$_{12}$ particles with grain sizes of 100nm were synthesized. Lithium cells, consisting of Li$_{4}$ Ti$_{5}$O$_{12}$ anode and lithium cathode showed the 173 mAh/g in the range of 1.0 $\~$ 3.0 V. Furthermore, the crystalline structure of Li$_{4}$ Ti$_{5}$O$_{12}$ didn't transform during the lithium intercalation and deintercalation process.

얇은 게이트 산화막 $30{\AA}$에 대한 박막특성 개선 연구 (A study on Improvement of $30{\AA}$ Ultra Thin Gate Oxide Quality)

  • As the deep sub-micron devices are recently integrated high package density, novel process method for sub $0.1{\mu}m$ devices is required to get the superior thin gate oxide characteristics and reliability. However, few have reported on the electrical quality and reliability on the thin gate oxide. In this paper I will recommand a novel shallow trench isolation structure for thin gate oxide $30{\AA}$ of deep sub-micron devices. Different from using normal LOCOS technology, novel shallow trench isolation have a unique 'inverse narrow channel effects' when the channel width of the devices is scaled down shallow trench isolation has less encroachment into the active device area. Based on the research, I could confirm the successful fabrication of shallow trench isolation(STI) structure by the SEM, in addition to thermally stable silicide process was achiever. I also obtained the decrease threshold voltage value of the channel edge and the contact resistance of $13.2[\Omega/cont.]$ at $0.3{\times}0.3{\mu}m^2$. The reliability was measured from dielectric breakdown time, shallow trench isolation structure had tile stable value of $25[%]{\sim}90[%]$ more than 55[sec].

집진장치의 유입구조에 따른 세라믹필터의 철입자 제거특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of inlet structure of filtration system on the removal characteristics of iron particles by ceramic candle filters)

  • Wet-type particulate removal system is employed in most of ironmaking processes. These de-dusting systems require additional downstream aggregates for treatment of water and for drying of the collected slurry. Thus dried slurry can be pressed in shape of briquettes and recycled in the steelmaking process. Different from the wet-type, the dry-type particulate removal systems generate no slurry. A high-temperature, high-pressure de-dusting system with inertial inlet was developed. The target application of this system was to remove particulate matter generated from the novel ironmaking process and other steelmaking processes. In this study we conducted tests with this newly developed system to evaluate the performance of the silica-carbide (SiC) ceramic filters. In addition, for purpose of comparison, we also conducted tests with a unit which has conventional direct inlet. Fe-Particles collected from the novel ironmaking process were used in our tests as test dusts. The temperature and the pressure were kept constant at their respective values $800^{\circ}C$ and $3kg_f/cm^2$.
