The normal physiological values of Korean mongrel dogs were studied, comparing them with foreign references, on the basis of control physiological data measured on 110 cases out of the dogs submitted to the experiments in our department. The hemodynamic measurements varied widely between the both limits of reported normal control data, with the mean value of heart rate $140.4{\pm}26.6$/min., and both the systolic and diastolic arterial blood pressures $137.2{\pm}31.7$mmHg and $104.7{\pm}14.4$ mmHg, as well as the venous pressure of $9.11{\pm}2.18$ cm.$H_2O$. Hematologically, the number of red blood cells $4,571,000{\pm}767,000$per cu.mm., the amount of hemoglobin $11.57{\pm}3.74$ gm/dl and the hematocrit $37.3{\pm}7.2$ per cent, were equally the values a little lower than the reported normal means. However, the white blood cells were within the reported normal limits both in number, $10,384{\pm}4,877$ per cu. mm and their differential counts with slightly broader ranges of variation. The platelet count was $149,800{\pm}47,000 $per cu. mm and was also far below the normal, while the coagulation time $9.03{\pm}2.69$min. and the prothrombin time $13.17{\pm}6.52$sec were within normal limits, though a little prolonged. The serum electrolytes, Na $146.6{\pm}10.44$mEq/L.,K $4.46{\pm}0.84$mEq/L., CI $118.3{\pm}7.88$mEq/L. and Ca $11.45{\pm}5.62$mg./dl, and the blood glucose level of $94.9{\pm}31.79$mg./dl were essentially not different from the reported normal values. The serum proteins, total protein $7.15{\pm}1.41$gm/dl., albumin $4.09{\pm}0.77$gm./dl. and globulin $3.18{\pm}0.88$gm/dl. were included near the higher limits of the reported normal levels. The thymol turbidity 0.1-3.04 units were normal in 10 cases, and the cephaline flocculation was within normal range except 2 cases out of 26 dogs, showing two positive in 24 hours. And the nitrogen series, NPN $34.61{\pm}10.29$mg/dl. and BUN $12.77{\pm}6.37$mg./dl. were normal. It may be concluded that from the point of view of hereby measured physiological data compared with the foreign references, the Korean mongrel dogs have a compatible laboratory data with only the special regards to their tendency toward anemia in red blood cell series.

According to the statistical analysis on the electrical fire of 2005 years, most of electrical fire is generated from short circuit(4,985 cases), overcurrent(755 cases) leakage current(391 cases), poor contact(378 cases), disconnection(36 cases) on the electrical wiring device. The researches for the fire hazard about normal electric wiring have already been progressing in the advanced country such as USA and Japan, but Comparative study of the disconnection has not been conducted. Therefore, in this paper, we have simulated the thermal analysis for electrical wire according to deteriorating time in a normal state and disconnection with electrical wire using the electrical-thermal finite element method(Flux 3D). This paper acquire basis data of electricity fire signal by disconnection and wish to help for electrical fire cause diagnosis business.

Hypoxia is associated with many pathological conditions as well as the normal physiology of metazoans. We identified a lactate-dependent signaling pathway in hypoxia, mediated by the oxygen- and lactate-regulated protein NDRG family member 3 (NDRG3). Oxygen negatively regulates NDRG3 expression at the protein level via the PHD2/VHL system, whereas lactate, produced in excess under prolonged hypoxia, blocks its proteasomal degradation by binding to NDRG3. We also found that the stabilized NDRG3 protein promotes angiogenesis and cell growth under hypoxia by activating the Raf-ERK pathway. Inhibiting cellular lactate production abolishes NDRG3-mediated hypoxia responses. The NDRG3-Raf-ERK axis therefore provides the genetic basis for lactate-induced hypoxia signaling, which can be exploited for the development of therapies targeting hypoxia-induced diseases in addition to advancing our understanding of the normal physiology of hypoxia responses. This paper deals with torque analysis of axial flux permanent magnet (AFPM) type eddy current brake (ECB) based on analytical field computation. On the basis of a magnetic vector potential and a two-dimensional (2-D) polar coordinate system, analytical solutions for normal and tangential flux density due to permanent magnet (PM) considering eddy current effect are obtained. And then, using derived analytical field solutions, braking torque and normal force characteristics according to rotor speed are also predicted. A three-dimensional (3-D) finite element (FE) analysis is employed to confirm the validity of analyses.

A study on chromosome of leucocytes in blood cultures derived from 6 normal Korean was performed . Exact chromosome counts were carried out on 205 cells in male, 211 in female , of which 86.05% revealed a chormosome mordal number of 46. On the basis of relative chromosome lengths and position of centromeres, the Karyotype that the human chromosomes were classified into 7 groups with 22 airs of autosome and one pair of sex chromosome was determined accoridng to the method of denver report. The chromosome number on metaphase was observed in short term cultures of leucocytes from the peripheral blood of 2 patients with chronic granulocytic leukemia and 1 patient with acute granulocitic leukemia . and the chromosome morpholoogy was also investigated in one acute leukemic patient. In all leukemic cases the leucocytes showed the constant value of 46 in the stem -line of chormosome number. But the frequency of cells with 46 chromosomes appeared in the 3 cases was 67.30% in average with a slightly higher range in hypo-andhyper-diploid chromosome numbers than in normal human, The idiogram analysis did not show any abnormality of chromosome in acute leukemic cells.

Understanding the development of a skull deformity requires an understanding of the normal morphogenesis of the cranium. Craniosynostosis is the premature, pathologic ossification of one or more cranial sutures leading to skull deformities. A review of the English medical literature using textbooks and standard search engines was performed to gather information about the prenatal development and growth of the cranial vault of the neurocranium. A process of morphogenic sequencing begins during prenatal development and growth, continues postnatally, and contributes to the basis for the differential manner of growth of cranial vault bones. This improved knowledge might facilitate comprehension of the pathophysiology of craniosynostosis.

The nucleophilic substitution reactions of dipropyl chlorothiophosphate (3) with substituted anilines ($XC_6H_4NH_2$) and deuterated anilines ($XC_6H_4ND_2$) are investigated kinetically in acetonitrile at $55.0^{\circ}C$. The obtained deuterium kinetic isotope effects (DKIEs; $k_H/k_D$) are primary normal ($k_H/k_D$ = 1.11-1.35). A concerted mechanism involving predominant frontside nucleophilic attack is proposed on the basis of the primary normal DKIEs and selectivity parameters. Hydrogen bonded, four-center-type transition state is proposed. The steric effects of the two ligands on the anilinolysis rates of various substrates are discussed.

Letter of Credit (L/C) is currently a very popular international settlement method frequently used in international trade processes amongst countries around the globe. Compared with other international settlement methods, however, L/C has some obvious shortcomings. Firstly, it is not easy to use due to the sophisticated processes its usage involves. Secondly, it is sometimes accompanied by a few risks and some uncertainty. Thus, highly efficient methods need to be used to assess and control these risks. To begin with, FAHP and KMV methods are used to resolve the problem of incomplete information associated with L/C and then, on this basis, Bayesian game theory is used in order to make more scientific and reasonable decisions with respect to international trade.

In this paper we detected the thrombosis formation by spectral analysis and neural network. Using microphone and amplifier, we measured the sound from the mechanical valve which is attached to the pneumatic ventricular assist device. The sound was sampled by A/D converter and the periodogram is the main algorithm or obtaining spectrum. We made the valvular thrombosis models using pellethane and silicon and they are thrombosis model on the disk, around the sewing ring and fibrous tissue growth across the orifice of valve. The spectrum of normal and 5 kinds of thrombotic valve were obtained and primary and secondary peak appeared in each spectrum waveform. So to distinguish the secondary peak of normal and thrombotic valve quantatively, 3 layer back propagation neural network.

A study of the bending-extension-transverse shear coupled random response of the composite beams with thin-walled open sections subjected to various types of concentrated and distributed random excitations is dealt with in this paper. First of all, equations of motion of thin-walled composite H-type cross-section beams incorporating a number of nonclassical effects of transverse shear and primary and secondary warping, and anisotropy of constituent materials are derived. On the basis of derived equations of motion, analytical expressions for the displacement response of the composite beams are derived by using normal mode method combined with frequency response function method.
