도암호 유역의 강우시 비점오염물질 유출 특성 (Characteristics of Non-point Pollution Discharge on Stormwater Runoff from Lake Doam Watershed)

  • Lake Doam watershed was surveyed to evaluate non-point source discharge characteristics and discharge load including several water quality parameters in Song Stream from July 2009 to July 2011. Concentrations of water pollutants were high during the rainfall period, especially, SS, TP and COD showed increasing tendencies toward cumulative water discharge but TN did not show much difference. SS, TP and COD had an initial flush effect of over 50 mm rainfall event but there was no clear tendency for rainfalls below that level. Event mean concentration (EMC) regarding the rainy and dry period showed large differences. Especially rainy season EMC (SS, TP, COD) demonstrated an increasingly high tendency. EMCs of COD, SS, TN and TP measured for twelve rain events were as high as 26.1, 866.0, 4.68 and 0.605 mg $L^{-1}$, respectively. COD, SS, TN and TP loadings from the highland agricultural region of the Song Stream watershed were 34,263, 1,250,254, 2,673 and 933 kg $yr^{-1}\;km^{-2}$, respectively, which were relatively higher than the results of other stream systems. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that long-term monitoring and non-point pollution reduction programs for the highland agricultural area to continue. Furthermore, this non-point source pollution loading research acquired from the highland agricultural area could be the base for reassessment.

비도시 유역에서 수질오염물질 사이의 상관관계 분석 (Analysis of Relationships Among the Pollutant Concentrations in Non-urban Area)

  • 본 연구에서는 비도시 유역에서 수질오염물질간의 상관관계를 알아보기 위하여 화옹간척지구의 상류 유역두 지점에서 1999견 강우시와 비강우시의 수질측정자료를 이용하여 오염물질간의 상관관계를 분석하였다. 비강우시에는 오염물질간 뚜렷한 상관관계를 확인하기 어려웠으나, 강우시에는 SS-TP, SS-COD, TP-COD사이에 높은 상관관계를 나타내었으며 TN과 다른 오염물질사이에는 일정한 경향을 나타내지 않았다. 오염물질간의회귀분석결과는 SS-TP, SS-COD사이에는 반 대수함수의 경향을 나타내고 유역특성에 영향을 받았으며, TP-COD는 선형함수의 경향을 나타내고 유역특성에 영향을 적게 받았다. 본 연구에서 발표한 수질오염물질 사이의 회귀식들은 유역의 특성에 영향을 받겠으나 화옹지구는 물론, 자료가 부족한 다른 비도시 유역에도 기본계획 단계에서는 사용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

비점원 오염부하량 산정에 관한 연구 (A Study on The Non-Point Source Pollutant Load Routing Method)

  • After execute quantitative analysis that choose station and compose floodgate quality of water net and use floodgate data and quality of water data analysis target Sign of the cock as 1 dimension access for Non-point pollution source pollution and estimate of Gaeuncheon's at Kyongsangbukdo report to the Throne in this research, presented parameter conclusion notation model (AGNPS) in real condition of our agricultural area through comparison with spot value and result is as following in reply. With result observation and analysis result of the AGNPS model the comparison which it will pay from the hazard which it analyzes 2005, the rainfall thought which is used in the analysis to select 8 heavy rain thoughts 2005 July - is data until of September. Actual amount of rainfall 6.0~195.0 mm one time the antecedent precipitation showed API5 case 0.0~507.0mm and were observed peak flows (Qpeak) each from the P-1 $0.026m^3/sec{\sim}9.265m^3/sec$, from the P-2 $0.010m^3/sec-2.747m^3/sec$ and from the P-3c $0.064m^3/sec-13.482m^3/sec$ to show. Also amendment AMC condition it will be cool and it uses and the AGNPS model conference the result which it occurs, analysis and regression analysis of actual flow for as 0.992 very the possibility of getting the result which is good there was a decisive coefficient which is cool. But the gun is (T-P) with the total nitrogen (T-N) decisive coefficient each as 0.794 and 0.849 the presumption which is reliability generally will pay and with the fact that it will be the possibility of getting it is judged.

도시지역 토지이용에 따른 강우사상별 비점오염물질 유출특성 파악 (A Study on the Characterization of Land use in Urban Areas, according to Nonpoint Pollutant Source Runoff)

  • The Non-Point Sources shows different characteristics over a wide area depending on basin situation and rainfall events etc. In addition, Among various land uses in the urban areas, runoff appears high in the paved area, though small in its size, during a heavy rain than in other land use owing to its high impervious rate, and pollutants become severly accumulated owing to continual transportation of vehicles, characteristically showing high concentrations of runoff in the early stage. As a result, several advanced countries including USA give a special emphasis on the paved area as a target for supervision. In view of these aspects, the research is not only required to consider separated sub-basins which are distributed according to land uses, but also needed to develop a suitable monitoring which is reflected rainfall-runoff relation. The on-site monitoring has been performed to collect data in object watershed as well.

가행광산 지역의 비점오염물질 유출특성 (Characteristics of NPS Pollution from a Coal Mining)

  • This study was conducted to describe the characteristics of Non-point source (NPS) Pollution discharge from a coal mining area in Korea. The study areas is located on the Dogye site, Samchuk, Kangwon Province Coal Corporation and the Jangsung site, Taebaek, Kangwon Province Coal Corporation. The monitoring system was installed at a drainage channel and water samples and rainfall events were collected during March 2008 to February 2009. The collected water samples were analyzed with respect to SS, BOD, $COD_{Cr}$, $COD_{Mn}$, T-N, T-P, and TOC, respectively. It was observed that the runoff and water quality were largely influenced by mine drainage. Also a significant relationship was observed from the correlation between flow and water quality, flow and NPS. And estimated Event Mean Concentration (EMC), NPS pollution loads were Dogey coal mine and Taeback coal mine respectively. As the study progresses in the future, runoff and pollution loads will be updated.

노면배수에 함유된 미량오염물질 및 제거에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Micropollutants and Removal of Micropollutants Contained in Road Runoff)

  • Micropollutants, which can be caused by imperfect combustion, are toxic chemical compound that flows into the river system after being contained in road runoff, a non-point source pollutant and accumulates in the body. The micropollutants that have characteristics such as toxicity, persistence, bio-accumulation, long-range transportation behave so similarly to micro particles that they can be removed by means of filtration or absorption. This study has examined the kinds and concentrations of micropollutants contained in deposited road particles. It has revealed that the kinds of micropollutants contained in the clarified supernatant liquid of deposited road particles are heavy metals and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) composed of two or three benzene rings, including naphthalene and acenaphthalene. Their concentrations have been shown to be low, with 0.418 mg/L, 0.058 mg/L, 0.104 mg/L, 0.014 mg/L, 0.00075 mg/L for Zn, Pb, Cu, Cr, Cd, respectively and 0.00156 mg/L and 0.00184 mg/L for naphthalene and acenaphthalene.

산림지역의 비점오염물질 유출특성 및 EMC 산정 (Wash-off Characteristics of NPS Pollutants from Forest Landuse)

  • 수질오염총량관리제에서는 다양한 토지에서 발생하는 비점오염물질의 부하량 산정을 요구하고 있다. 현재 수질오염총량관리제에서 사용되고 있는 토지이용별 오염물질 원단위는 1999년도에 제정된 7가지 지목별 원단위를 사용하고 있으나, 강우량의 고려없이 산정된 값이기에 적용과정에서 과다설계 등의 문제를 나타내고 있다. 따라서 환경부는 다양한 강우사상에서 수행된 모니터링 결과를 이용하여 토지이용별 원단위를 분리하기 위한 장기모니터링을 수행하고 있으며, 본 연구는 이러한 장기모니터링 결과의 일환으로 수행되고 있다. 특히 산림지역의 경우 자연초지와 함께 자연 상태 하천의 배경농도를 형성하는 오염원으로 인위적인 오염배출영향을 평가하기 위해서는 기본적인 유출특성 분석이 요구되고 있으나, 현재까지 연구가 미흡한 상황이다. 본 연구는 산림지역 중 활엽수림과 침엽수림을 대상으로 강우시 모니터링을 실시하여 비점오염물질의 유출특성을 파악하고 EMC를 산정하였으며, 향후 그 결과는 산림지역으로부터 유출되는 비점오염물질의 부하량 및 원단위 산정에 기초자료로 활용될 것이다.

실내인공강우기를 이용한 경사지 밭의 토양유실량과 오염부하 모의 (Simulation of generable muddy water quantity and pollutant loads in sloping field using artificial rainfall simulator)

  • Using artificial rainfall simulator, the soil loss, which is deemed as most cause of muddy water problem among Non-point source(NPS) pollutant, was studied by the analysis of direct runoff flow, groundwater runoff, and groundwater storage properties concerned with rainfall intensity, slope of area, and land cover. The direct runoff showed increasing tendency in both straw covered and bared boxes which are 5%, 10%, and 20% sloped respectively. Also the direct runoff volume from straw covered surface boxes were much lower than bared surface boxes. It's deemed as that the infiltration capacity of straw covered surface boxes were increased, because the surface sealing by fine material of soil surface didn't occurred due to the straw covering. Under the same rainfall intensity and slope condition, 2.4 ${\sim}$ 8.2 times of sediment yield were occurred from bared surface boxes more than straw covered surface boxes. The volume of infiltrated were increased due to straw cover, the direct runoff flow were decreased with decreasing of tractive force in surface. To understand of relationship the rate of direct runoff flow, groundwater runoff, and groundwater storage by the rainfall intensity, slope, and land cover, the statistical test was performed. It shows good relationship between most of factors, expect between the rate of groundwater storage and rainfall intensity.

An Estimation of NPS Pollutant Loads using the Correlation between Storm Water Runoff and Pollutant Discharge in a Small Urban Drainage Basin

  • Three purposes of this study are as follows : The first was the development of the extension method for the limited data observed in an urban drainage basin. The second was the analysis of the correlation between storm water runoff and NPS(non-point source) Pollutant discharge. The last was the calculation of the monthly and annual specific NPS loads using the established correlation. The selected model was the SWMM(Storm Water Management Model) developed by the US EPA(Environmental Protection Agency). As a result of this study, the best correlation between storm water runoff and NPS pollutants discharge was produced by the nonlinear correlation between runoff rate(mm/hr) and specific loads rate(kg/ha) for all pollutants studied : SS, COD, BOD, and TN. The best correlation through the analysis based on evently total mass was made by the linear correlation between the by the nonlinear correlation for CASE2. The NPS annual specific loads for the urban basin studed were 4,993 kg/ha/year for SS, 775 kg/ha/year for BOD, 3,094 kg/ha/year for COD, 257 kg/ha/year for TN, respectively. And the proportion of the NPS annual specific loads to the total annual specific loads were 41 % for SS, 13 % for BOD, 29 % for COD, and 21 % for TN.

주암호 농촌 소유역 오염부하특성 (Pollutant Load Characteristics of a Rural Watershed of Juam Lake)

  • A monitoring study has been conducted to identify hydrologic conditions, water quality and nutrient loading characteristics of small watershed in Juam Lake. Climate data of the watershed were collected; flow rate was measured and water quality sampling was conducted at the watershed outlet for this study. Water quality data revealed that T-P concentrations meet I grade of lake water quality standard during non-storm period, but degraded up to II-III grade of lake water quality standard during storm period. The observed T-N concentrations always exceeded lake water quality standard. Therefore, T-P was identified as limiting chemical constituent for eutrophication of Juam Lake. T-P concentration of non-storm period also revealed that point source pollution is not serious in the watershed. Three year monitoring results showed that the observed T-N losses were $10.85\~18.88$ kg/ha and T-P losses were $0.028\~0.323$ kg/ha during six month (Mar. - Oct.), respectively. Major portion of runoff amount discharged by a few storm events a year and nutrient load showed apparent seasonal variation. Huge runoff amounts were generated by intense storms, which make application of water treatment or detention facilities ineffective. Monitoring results confirmed that water quality improvement by abating nonpoint source pollution in rural watershed of monsoon climate should be focused on source control. T-P losses from paddy field seemed to consist of significant amount of total load from study watershed. Therefore, management of drainage from paddy field is considered to be important for preventing algal blooming problem in Juam Lake.
