  • In this paper, we give a Peleg type KKM theorem on G-convex spaces and using this, we obtain a coincidence theorem. First, these results are applied to a whole intersection property, a section property, and an analytic alternative for multimaps. Secondly, these are used to proved existence theorems of equilibrium points in qualitative games with preference correspondences and in n-person games with constraint and preference correspondences for non-paracompact wetting of commodity spaces.

  • We examine the oscillatory modes generated by the Hopf bifurcations of non-origin equilibrium points in the four-coupled oscillator system. The Hopf bifurcations of the equilibrium points and the generated oscillatory modes are classified. By numerical bifurcation analysis we observe various interesting synchronized states caused by symmetry-breaking bifurcations.

  • This Paper investigates imperfect competition and economy of scale on Korean energy markets based on computable general equilibrium model. Some industries like energy sector have exhibited that their economies have strong economies of scale and imperfect competition. Thus these industrial organization facts should be incorporated into CGE model. In our model, non-competitive markets are adopted and compare these results with convention perfect competition model.

  • The present paper deals with the analytical solution of a functionally graded piezoelectric (FGP) cylinder in the magnetic field under mechanical, thermal and electrical loads. All mechanical, thermal and electrical properties except Poisson ratio can be varied continuously and gradually along the thickness direction of the cylinder based on a power function. The cylinder is assumed to be axisymmetric. Steady state heat transfer equation is solved by considering the appropriate boundary conditions. Using Maxwell electro dynamic equation and assumed magnetic field along the axis of the cylinder, Lorentz's force due to magnetic field is evaluated for non homogenous state. This force can be employed as a body force in the equilibrium equation. Equilibrium and Maxwell equations are two fundamental equations for analysis of the problem. Comprehensive solution of Maxwell equation is considered in the present paper for general states of non homogeneity. Solution of governing equations may be obtained using solution of the characteristic equation of the system. Achieved results indicate that with increasing the non homogenous index, different mechanical and electrical components present different behaviors along the thickness direction. FGP can control the distribution of the mechanical and electrical components in various structures with good precision. For intelligent properties of functionally graded piezoelectric materials, these materials can be used as an actuator, sensor or a component of piezo motor in electromechanical systems.

  • Based on a non-linear model taking into account flexural-torsional couplings, analytical solutions are derived for lateral buckling of simply supported I beams under some representative load cases. A closed form is established for lateral buckling moments. It accounts for bending distribution, load height application and pre-buckling deflections. Coefficients $C_1$ and $C_2$ affected to these parameters are then derived. Regard to well known linear stability solutions, these coefficients are not constant but depend on another coefficient $k_1$ that represents the pre-buckling deflection effects. In numerical simulations, shell elements are used in mesh process. The buckling loads are achieved from solutions of eigenvalue problem and by bifurcations observed on non linear equilibrium paths. It is proved that both the buckling loads derived from linear stability and eigenvalue problem lead to poor results, especially for I sections with large flanges for which the behaviour is predominated by pre-buckling deflection and the coefficient $k_1$ is large. The proposed solutions are in good agreement with numerical bifurcations observed on non linear equilibrium paths.

  • The present paper shows a new non-tensorial approach to derive basic equations for various structural analyses. It can be used directly in numerical computation procedures. The aim of the paper is, however, to show that the approach serves as an excellent tool for analytical purposes also, working as a link between analytical and numerical techniques. The paper gives a method to derive, at first, expressions for strains in general beam and shell analyses, and secondly, the governing equilibrium equations. The approach is based on the utilization of local fixed Cartesian coordinate systems. Applying these, all the definitions required are the simple basic ones, well-known from the analyses in common global coordinates. In addition, the familiar principle of virtual work has been adopted. The method will be, apparently, most powerful in teaching the theories of curved beam and shell structures for students not familiar with tensor analysis. The final results obtained have no novelty value in themselves, but the procedure developed opens through its systematic and graphic progress a new standpoint to theoretical considerations.

  • The electron energy distributions function were analysed in sulphur hexaflouride at E/N : 500~800(Td) for a case of non-equilibrium ion in the mean electron energy. This paper describes the electron transport characteristics in SF$_{6}$ gas calculated for range of E/N values from 150~800(Td) by the Monte Carlo simulation and Boltzmann equation method using a set of electron collision cross sections determined by the authors and the values of electron swarm parameters. The results gained that the value of an electron swarm parameter such as the electron drift velocity, the electron ionization or attachment coefficients, longitudinal and transverse diffusion coefficients agree with the experimental and theoretical for a range of E/N. • Non-proportional loading tests of Nylon 66 at room temperature exhibit path dependent behavior and plasticity-relaxation interactions. The uniaxial formulation of the viscoplasticity theory based on overstress (VBO), which has been used to reproduce the nonlinear strain rate sensitivity, relaxation, significant recovery and cyclic softening behaviors of Nylon 66, is extended to three-dimensions to predict the response in strain-controlled, comer-path tests. VBO consists of a flow law that is easily written for either the stress or the strain as the independent variable. The flow law depends on the overstress, the difference between the stress and the equilibrium stress that is a state variable in VBO. The evolution law of the equilibrium stress in turn contains two additional state variables, the kinematic stress and the isotropic stress. The simulations show that the constitutive model is competent at modeling the deformation behavior of Nylon 66 and other solid polymers.

  • This article investigates the use of the Gaussian-channel doping profile for the control of the short-channel effects in the double-gate MOSFET whereby a two-dimensional (2D) quantum simulation was used. The simulations were completed through a self-consistent solving of the 2D Poisson equation and the Schrodinger equation within the non-equilibrium Green’s function (NEGF) formalism. The impacts of the p-type-channel Gaussian-doping profile parameters such as the peak doping concentration and the straggle parameter were studied in terms of the drain current, on-current, off-current, sub-threshold swing (SS), and drain-induced barrier lowering (DIBL). The simulation results show that the short-channel effects were improved in correspondence with incremental changes of the straggle parameter and the peak doping concentration.

  • In order to control the transonic flow field with a shock wave, a condensing flow was produced by an expansion of moist air on a circular bump model and shock waves were occurred in the supersonic parts of the fields. Furthermore, the additional passive technique of shock-boundary layer interaction using the porous wall with a cavity underneath was adopted in this flow field. The effects of these methods on the shock wave characteristics were investigated numerically. The result showed that the flow fields might be effectively controlled by the suitable combination between non-equilibrium condensation and the position of porous wall.
