A study of biting force in long face and normal face adults (Long face와 Normal face인 성인에서의 교합력에 관한 연구)

  • Until now it has not surely been pointed out about the relation between the biting force and the facial types in scientific view. But it's correlation was assumed by several scientists : recently some literatures reported about the maximum biting force and facial types, but there's only a little articles about the relation between the biting force(biting force contain maximum biting force, chewing force and swallowing force) and facial type. So this study was, firstly, performed to establish the relation of the nomal face and long face versus biting force. 2ndly it was performed to establish the relation between the difference in mouth opening degrees versus biting force. 3rdly it was performed to establish the relation between male and female versus biting force. Biting force was measured from 56 adults (normal 26, long 30) whose samples was selected from Yonsei university students and Hospital patients. Sample was divided into 2groups (normal and long) by lateral cephalogram. The results of this study was obtained as follows. 1. Maximum biting force and chewing force in long face was smaller than normal face. 2. When the thickness of transducer was changed from 6m to 9mm, maximum biting force andchewingforcewaslargerthanbefore. 3. In case of comparing with male and female, male was larger than female in maximum biting force and chewing force.

  • The chatter to raise grinding operating is reduce the precision and the quality. In this study, In reply to AE signal and the normal force generated in the grinding operating were measured (1) the amplitude in the mathematical model of the normal force is the form as to transform an exponential (2) the chatter growth is minus point of an exponent. (3) From the observed wheel aspect after the chatter growth, it was to investigated the concern of the chatter growth and the wheel life.

Study on The Suggested Curve Fitting Algorithm for Bolt Clamping Force Measurement (볼트 체결력 측정을 위해 제안한 커브피팅 알고리즘에 관한 연구)

  • In order to serve the exact torque clamping force, the torque measurement system use the curve fitting algorithm by the least square. The corrected least square curve fitting algorithm which suggested in this paper can surpport more exact clamping force for fastner in variable industry field using the torque. At first, This paper introduces mathematical modeling for curve fitting algorithm, and simulate it. As a result, the corrected least square algorithm have shown lower standard error value than that of the used algoritm with torque, and so this corrected least square algorithm prove high accuracy than nomal least square algorithm. The suggested algorithm will contribute to improvement of cost and safety on industry field with bolt clamping force for precision industry parts, electronics parts, aircraft, aerospace, etc.

An Analysis of Photoacoustic Signals Excited by Excimer Pulsed Laser (엑시며 레이저 펄스에 의해 여기된 광음향신호 분석)

  • In this paper, the PA(PhotoAcoustic) signals excited in metals by Xef, KrF excimer laser pulse were detected by a PZT transducer, and its transforming machanism and directivity patterns were analysed. The laser energy density in irradiation spot divides the PA trasnsorming machanism to be classified into thermoelastic and plasma regime, and the transforming machanisms in two regimes are different from each other. Based on theoretical model, it is predicted that shear wave is greater than longitudinal in the thermoelastic regime and longitudinal is greater than shear wave by reaction force in plasma regime. These predictions were verified through experiments by using of the XeF excimer pulsed laser of 480nm center-wavelength and the KrF excimer pulsed laser of 248nm. Also, for its directivity pattern, an arrival angle of the maximum longitudinal energy was around $60^{\circ}$ and maximum shear energy was around $30^{\circ}$ in the thermoelastic regime, and an arrival angle of maximum longitudinal energy was shown on nomal to the surface and maximum shear energy was represented in about $30^{\circ}$ in plasma regime.
