  • In this paper, we propose a hybrid routing scheme that utilizes location information to support reliable data transmission in mobile ad hoc networks. The proposed scheme determines and maintains routing path by considering the directionality and connectivity of nodes using grid zones and information on neighbor nodes. In addition, it generates alternative paths with consideration for node distance and reliability. To show the superiority of the proposed routing scheme, a performance evaluation was conducted using simulations. The performance evaluation results show that the proposed scheme offers faster and more reliable data transmission than the existing routing schemes, and the number of messages decreases by approximately 31% compared to the existing schemes on average.

  • The advent of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) has led to their use in numerous applications. Sensors are autonomous in nature and are constrained by limited resources. Designing an autonomous topology with criteria for economic and energy conservation is considered a major goal in WSN. The proposed honey-hive clustering consumes minimum energy and resources with minimal transmission delay compared to the existing approaches. The honey-hive approach consists of two phases. The first phase is an Intra-Cluster Min-Max Discrepancy (ICMMD) analysis, which is based on the local honey-hive data gathering technique and the second phase is Inter-Cluster Frequency Matching (ICFM), which is based on the global optimal data aggregation. The proposed data aggregation mechanism increases the optimal connectivity range of the sensor node to a considerable degree for inter-cluster and intra-cluster coverage with an improved optimal energy conservation.

  • In this paper, we proposed a new MANET (Mobile Ad hoc Networks) technology of routing protocol. The MANET has a mobility formation of mobile nodes in the wireless networks. Wireless network have two types architecture: the Tree based multicast and shared tree based. The two kind's architecture of general wireless networks have difficult to solve the problems existing in the network, such as connectivity, safety, and reliability. For this purpose, as using that ADDMRP (Ad hoc network Doppler effect-based for Dynamic Multicast Routing Protocol), this study gives the following suggestion for new topology through network durability and Omni-directional information. The proposed architectures have considered the mobility location, mobility time, density, velocity and simultaneous using node by Doppler effects and improved the performance.

  • Among the activities of 3GPP for operating 5G-based unmanned aerial vehicles, we introduce several use cases of UAVs in 5G mobile communication such as radio access node onboard UAV, simultaneous support data transmission for UAVs and eMBB users, autonomous UAVs controlled by AI, isolated deployment of radio access through UAV, and separation of UAV service area. From this, we further summarize 5G mobile communication requirements for UAVs, including definition and operational criteria of UAS, UAS remote identification requirements, UAS usage requirements, and performance requirements. Finally, regarding 5G mobile communication-based UAS connectivity, identification and tracking support, we discuss the 3GPP UAV architecture, seven major problems, the proposed solutions to each problem, and propose the results for future specification work.

  • The distance vector-hop (DV-Hop) is one of the emblematic algorithms that use node connectivity for locating, which often accompanies by a large positioning error. To reduce positioning error, the bio-inspired algorithm and weight optimization model are introduced to address positioning. Most scholars argue that the weight value decreases as the hop counts increases. However, this point of view ignores the intrinsic relationship between the error and weight. To address this issue, this paper constructs the relationship model between error and hop counts based on actual communication characteristics of sensor nodes in wireless sensor network. Additionally, we prove that the error converges to 1/6CR when the hop count increase and tendency to infinity. Finally, this paper presents a modified error-oriented weight positioning model, and implements it with genetic algorithm. The experimental results demonstrate excellent robustness and error removal.

  • RPL (IPv6 Routing Protocol for Low-power Lossy Network) is a standardized routing protocol for LLNs (Low power and Lossy Networks) by the IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force). RPL creates routes and builds a DODAG (Destination Oriented Directed Acyclic Graph) through OF (Objective Function) defining routing metrics and optimization objectives. RPL supports a leaf mode which does not allow any child nodes. In this paper, we propose INFRA-RPL which provides a dynamic leaf mode functionality to a leaf node with the mobility. The proposed protocol is implemented in the open-source IoT operating system, Contiki-NG and Cooja simulator, and its performance is evaluated. The evaluation results show that INFRA-RPL outperforms the existing protocols in the terms of PDR, latency, and control message overhead.

  • This paper describes the CIREX(CIRcuit EXtractor), an automated CMOS circuit extraction program which provides SPICE2 input file by computing circuit connectivity and transistor dimensions from the CIF file. The CIREX also computes parasitic capacitance and resistance which makes it a valuable tool for timing analysis and detailed circuit simulation. A lattice model is used to calculate the interconnection resistances and substrate capacitances which can be replaced, as an option, by a node model for the worst case timing analysis of the circuit.
