고온초전도 벌크 베어링을 사용한 유도 전동기의 특성 시험 (Performance Tests of an Induction Motor with Hexahedron HTS Bulk Bearing)

  • The high temperature superconducting bulk can be used as the bearing of induction motors. This paper presents the fabrication and test results of an induction motor with superconducting bearings using HTS bulks. The bearing had eight hexahedron type YBCO bulks. Height, width and thickness of the HTS bulk were 30mm, 30mm and 10mm, respectively. Single phase induction motor was used to drive the shaft made of aluminum and the rotor of a conventional induction motor. To estimate the performance of the HTS bulk magnetic bearing, no load test, load test and Impact test were carried out. Load tests were performed by using air resistance caused by the shaft-mounted thin cylinder with buckets. Impact tests by axial direction and vertical direction impact showed that the vibration of the shaft gradually decayed. The induction motor with HTS bulk magnetic bearing rotated silently and smoothly throughout the tests. According to the test results, conventional bearings can be replaced with superconducting magnetic bearings made of HTS bulks.

  • The high temperature superconducting bulk can be used as the rotor of an ac motor. This paper presents the fabrication and test results of a ac motor with HTS bulk rotor. The rotor of a conventional squirrel cage induction motor was replaced with cylinder type YBCO bulk. Height and outer diameter of the HTS bulk was 15mm and 46mm, respectively. Eddy current brake using aluminium disk was used to measure the torque of the HTS motor. No load test, locked rotor test and load test were performed to examine the characteristics of the HTS motor. Test results show the motor can rotate at synchronous speed without any special starting circuit. Maximum output power of the constructed HTS motor was 408W.

  • Purpose: This research is to develop Trailer Durability Test of towing device, in order to cover usage conditions of bike type as well as general type trailer. With the diversification of leisure activities, the population that enjoys various sports and leisure has increased rapidly, and the number of vehicles equipped with camping trailers and bike carriers is also increasing steadily. The purpose of this study is to develop a durable vehicle that has no problem in various customer conditions. Methods: We measured the input load under various conditions of the user by attaching load cell to the body fixing part and towing ball of the towing device. The load in various modes was measured, and the difference between the trailer and the bike carrier type was compared and analyzed. Results: Due to the difference in fixing method and weight between the two types, the trailer has a large longitudinal force and the bike type has a large vertical force. Therefore, it is necessary to durability test method capable of satisfying all longitudinal force and vertical force. Conclusion: We improved the durability test of the towing device by changing the test surface. The new mode has made it possible to shorten the durability test schedule by increasing test efficiency.

복층터널에서 도로용 중간슬래브와 연결되는 조립식 브라켓의 구조성능에 관한 실험연구 (A Experimental Study on the Structural Performance of Precast Bracket under Precast Road Deck Slab of Double Deck Tunnel)

  • 이 연구에서는 대심도 복층터널을 구성하는 중간슬래브의 하중을 터널본체에 전달하는 브라켓 구조에 관한 정 동적 거동을 조사하였다. 시공속도 향상을 위해 중간슬래브를 프리캐스트 쉴드 터널라이닝 구조체에 연결하기 위한 현장 조립형 'SPC (Steel Precast Concrete) 브라켓'을 개발하였다. 'SPC (Steel Precast Concrete) 브라켓'의 구조 성능을 평가하기 위해서 실물모형 구조실험을 수행하였으며, Contact 모델을 적용한 FEM 해석을 통해서 구조적인 안정성을 추가로 검증하였다. 정적재하실험을 수행한 결과 극한하중에 대한 브라켓의 변형이나 균열은 계측되지 않았으며, 브라켓 고정용 케미컬 앵커의 뽑힘이나 변형은 발생되지 않았다. 동적재하실험 결과 케미컬 앵커의 이상은 조사되지 않았다. FEM해석에 따른 브라켓의 거동은 정적재하실험 결과와 유사한 거동을 보여 사용성 및 구조 안정성 측면에서 문제가 없다고 판단된다.

작업유형에 따른 생리학적 작업능력의 비교 분석 (Comparison analysis of physiological work capacity for different tasks)

  • The objective of this study was to make comparison of the physical work capacities with different types and methods of tasks. To produce standard work loads, a bicycle ergometer and a treadmill were used for the purpose of two different types of tasks. Maximal oxygen uptake measurement tests are usually performen (1) continuously - with no rest between work load increments, or (2) discontinuously - with the subjects resting several minutes between work periods. Continuous test protocol with two different methods of work load increments, (1) ramp test- with 3 to 5 minutes of work period for each work load, and (2) incremental test - where exercise intensity was increased progressively in 2 minutes interval, were used. Predicted physicala work capacities (PWCs) were compared with the one by Kim(1990), and Lee(1995), and the NIOSH physiological criteria. For ergometer test, the PWC based on the ramp test was 89.65% of the one based on the incremental test. The PWC values were 2553.88 ml/min for the ramp test and 2848.82 ml/min for the incremental test. For treadmill test, the PWC based on the ramp test was 97.54% of the one based on the incremental test. The PWC values were 2786.89 ml/min for the ramp test and 2857.24 ml/min for the incremental test. The PWC obtained with a bicycle ergometer was 91.64% of the one obtained with a treadmill for the ramp test, and 99.71% for the incremental test.

  • The high temperature superconductor transformers gain interests from the industries. This paper described construction and test results of 10㎸A HTS transformer Three phase transformer with double pancake windings were constructed. To reduce the leakage magnetic field, secondary coil were placed between the two primary coils. BSCCO-2223 wire. silicon sheet steel core and FRP cryostats were used to construct the transformer. Three coils were stacked in one cryostat. Two double pancake coils were connected in series for the primary coil and one double pancake coil was used for the secondary coil. Total number of turns of the primary winding and the secondary winding were 112turns and 98urns, respectively, The rated voltages of each winding were 440/220V. The rated currents of each winding were 13.1/26.2A. After the tests of basic properties of the three phase HTS transformer using no-load test, short-circuit test and full-load test, continuous operation of 100 hours with pure resistive load has been carried out. Test results proved over-load capability and reliability of the HTS transformer.

Determination of shear stiffness for headed-stud shear connectors using energy balance approach

  • The shear stiffness of headed-stud shear connectors has no unified definition due to the nonlinear characteristics of its load-slip relationship. A unified framework was firstly adopted to develop a general expression of shear load-slip equation for headed-stud shear connectors varying in a large parameter range based on both force and energy balance. The pre- and post-yield shear stiffness were then determined through bilinear idealization of proposed shear load-slip equation. An updated and carefully selected push-out test database of 157 stud shear connectors, conducting on studs 13~30mm in diameter and on concretes 30~180 MPa in cubic compressive strength, was used for model regression and sensitivity analysis of shear stiffness. An empirical calculation model was also established for the stud shear stiffness. Compared with the previous models through statistical analysis, the proposed model demonstrates a better performance to predict the shear load-slip response and stiffness of the stud shear connectors.

화강풍화토의 변형계수와 상대침하 관계식에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Relationship between Deformation and Relative Settlement for Weathered-granite)

  • 얕은 기초 설계와 시공을 위해 실시하는 평판재하시험 결과로부터 실제 기초지반의 침하량을 산정하고 있는데 국내에서 많이 시공되는 화강풍화토나 풍화암에 대한 현장 예측식이 없는 실정이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 화강풍화토와 풍화암을 대상으로 현장 평판 재하시험을 실시하여 기초 크기별 침하량 거동을 분석하였다. 모형토조와 현장 재하시험에서 측정한 하중 ~ 침하 곡선을 일반적인 항복하중 판정법을 사용하지 않고 하중 ~ 상대침하(s/B, s : 침하량, B : 재하판폭) 관계로 정규화(Normalization)하여 분석하였다. 즉, 하중 ~ 상대 침하 개념으로 정규화한 결과, 재하판 직경에 관계없이 일정한 형태의 곡선을 나타내므로 현장의 지반조건과 상관성을 제시하였다.

조경용 포장 중간층에 사용가능한 PP섬유 보강 콘크리트의 물리·역학적 특성연구 (Physical and Mechanical Properties of PP Fiber Reinforced Concrete for Binder Course in Landscape Paving)

  • The mechanical properties appeared at the concrete mixed with Polypropylene fiber($1kg/m^3$, $3kg/m^3$, $5kg/m^3$) are compared with normal concrete and wire mesh one and evaluated. Achieved slump test to search effect that PP fiber gets to workability, even if the mixing amount of fiber increases, confirmed that slump value is no change almost. The no difference can be caused by hard mixture, but because of the big softness of fiber there is no effect greatly up to PP fiber mixing amount $5kg/m^3$ even with soft mixture. Compressive strengths and flexural strengths of the concretes with PP fiber and without the fiber are appeared almost alike. If examine load resistance ability by PP fiber mixing amount increase, it could know that the increase of fiber mixing amount improves load resistance ability and the toughness index is increased. While normal concrete is broken at the same time with crack, fiber mixed concrete stand in flexure load continuously after crack occurrence. In compare with wire mesh embeded concrete, wire mesh mixed concrete stands in some degree in flexure load by wire mesh crack occurrence and the test piece was broken at the same time. But, it could know that the PP fiber mixed concrete resist continuously to flexure load in bigger displacement.

  • In the end of a production line a new built power converter has to undergo a series of stress tests. This can be achieved by connecting it to a dynamometer consisting of a three-phase machine joined by a rigid shaft to a DC load machine. The latter is controlled to create some specific load characteristic needed for the test. In this paper a test method is proposed, in which no mechanical equipment is needed. The suggested test stand consists only of a converter to be tested and a simulator converter. Both devices are connected back-to-back on the AC-side via smoothing reactors. The simulator operates in real-time as an equivalent load circuit, so that the device under test will only notice the behaviour of a three-phase machine under consideration of the load.
