  • Objectives This study sets out to examine treatment experiences of child patients with night crying based on the traditional Korean medicine. Also, the study traces the process in which clients chose traditional Korean medicine treatment, and proposes a possible future direction of Korean medicine treatment. Methods The investigator conducted a semi-standardized open-ended question interview with two main fosterers of a child who received traditional Korean medicine treatment for night crying, and examined two fosterers' experiences of a child with the traditional Korean medicine treatment. Their interviews were recorded with their facial expressions and acts for analysis. Collected data was analyzed based on the Grounded theory. Results The participants felt a sense of responsibility, worry, and fear for their children with night crying. They had easy access to traditional Korean medicine doctors who were in the community and had positive experiences with traditional Korean medicine treatment. They reported that some people had been forced to use traditional Korean medicine, had misunderstandings about traditional Korean medicine, and had prejudice that night crying is not a disease. They felt there was a room for improvement in terms of the high medical expenses and the absence of a cooperative system between Oriental and Western medicine. Conclusions As the first qualitative study on night crying based on the traditional Korean medicine treatment, this study proposed a future direction for traditional Korean medicine treatment for night crying in the shoes of fosterers. The findings showed that the fosterers chose traditional Korean medicine treatment for night crying child based on their feelings, accessibility and experiences with traditional Korean medicine. Fosterers felt a need for improvement of the general public's perceptions about Korean medicine treatment on night crying, and a cooperative system between Oriental and Western medicine.

  • Objectives The purpose of this study is to analyze some of the TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) clinical research literatures about pediatric night crying in order to learn clinical application of Korean medicine treatment for pediatric night crying. Methods We searched clinical trial literatures about TCM treatment of pediatric night crying from the CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure) (January 2000 to June 2018). We analyzed the literature in regards to the treatment methods and the results. Results Among the 459 searched studies, 13 randomized controlled trials and 41 case studies were selected and analyzed. In most of the studies, the effectiveness of TCM in treating patients was significantly high, so we confirmed the effectiveness of TCM on pediatric night crying. The most commonly used pattern differentiations (辨證) were Spirit damage due to fright and fear (驚恐傷神), Spleen deficiency and cold (脾虛寒) and Heart fire heat (心火熱). Methods of treatment include herbal medicines (internal medicine and external application), massage therapy (Tuina methods), acupuncture and other treatments (bloodletting). The most commonly used herb medicines were Cicadidae Periostracum (蟬?), Poria Cocos (茯?), Glycyrrhizae Radix (甘草), Uncariae Ramulus et Uncus (釣鉤藤), Junci Medulla (燈心草), Fossilia Ossis Mastodi (龍骨), Atractylodis Rhizoma Alba (白朮), Cinnabaris (朱砂), and Coptidis Rhizoma (黃連). The most commonly used massage methods were Clearing Liver Channel (淸肝經), Clearing Heart Channel (淸心經), Kneading $Xi{\check{a}}oti{\bar{a}}nx{\bar{i}}n$ (?小天心), Supplementing Spleen Channel (補脾經), Clearing $Ti{\bar{a}}nh{\acute{e}}shu{\check{i}}$ (淸天河水), and Rubbing Abdomen (摩腹). Conclusions Based on the results of clinical studies from China, the use of Korean medicine for the treatment of pediatric night crying has been shown to be effective in relieving symptoms. Based on the results of this study, it is possible to widen the scope of Korean medicine by additionally reviewing clinical and experimental studies on pediatric night crying.

  • Objectives The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that cause nocturnal crying. Methods This clinical study has been carried out with 133 infants and children, who visited to the department of Pediatrics, ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$ Oriental Medical Hospital from September 2012 to October 2012. Patient's guardian filled out the questionnaire consisting of pregnancy-birth domain, child care domain, sleep domain, nocturnal crying domain and other domains. We used PASW Statistics 18.0 to analyze each factors by Chi-square test, Fisher's exact test and independent samples t test. Results The prevalence of nocturnal crying between "frequently changing sleep posture group" and "stable sleep posture group" were significantly different (p=0.002, OR=3.557). The prevalence of nocturnal crying between "sleep problem group" and "no sleep problem group" were significantly different (p=0.022, OR=4.052). The nocturnal crying prevalence of the rest of the groups had no significant difference. Conclusions The frequently changing sleep posture increases the risk of nocturnal crying, and the presence of sleep problem increases the risk of nocturnal crying.

  • The global warming caused the changes of our environment like an increasing tropical night phenomenon in the middle latitude areas. Especially, in Korea, the habitats of tropical Korean blockish cicada have changed from Jeju island located in Southern part of Korea to the whole of Korea because of the increasingly warming weather. The cicadas crying sound have been social problem because the tropical Korean blockish cicadas cry at middle of the night owing to the various outdoor lights. The cicada is positive phototaxis insect. So, the cicada is not cry at night. But if the outdoor light is very bright, then the cicada confuse the night as a day and start to cry. As a result, the cicadas crying noise has caused the resident living in downtown to an unpleasure and sleeplessness. In this research, we have measured three kinds of cicada singing noise at 16 points of urban area(Incheon, Gwangju, Busan, Gyeonggido Anyang). And then we analyzed the sound quality of the three kinds of cicada singing noise using by CADA-X signal process program. And we analyzed the acoustical characteristics by STFT(short time Fourier transform) which is a time-frequency analysis method. The characteristics of the cicada singing noise in terms of the sound quality and the time-frequency variation will be usefull to discover the relations between the human annoyance about the cicada singing noise and the acoustical characteristics.

Despite loving of our, loving is sadness. Also loving is to cry. This crying becomes love. This study is to show the mutant emotion which is to be able to code Deep Learning AI. We explored the Sijo "Streams that cried last night", because this Sijo was useful to study mutant emotion. The result was that this Sijo was coding the mutant emotion. Almost continuously, the sadness codes were spawning and concentrating. So this Sijo was making the emotion of love with the sadness. If this study is continued, It is believed that our lives will be much happier. And the method of literary therapy will be able to more upgrade.
