  • NOMA (Non-orthogonal multiple Access) system has been focused on the next generation cellular system for higher spectral efficiency. However, this requires user scheduling as the NOMA system is a multi-user system which accesses simultaneously. There are two representative scheduling schemes, proportionate scheduling (FP) and cumulative distribution function (CFD) scheduling. The PF scheduling is applied, the cell edge user is hard to obtain a transmit opportunity. Recently, CDF scheduling is obviously noted that it offers the same possibility of transmission for a user regardless of the location in a cell. We consider an uplink NOMA system with CDF scheduling, and obtain the channel access probabilities, the outage probabilities of the system with different number of users and different kinds of weights through simulation. The results indicate that the likelihood of each user accessing the channel is the same and the probability of failure decreases as the number of users increases. We found that the effect of the probability of failure is negligible as the weight of the cell edge user increases.

  • Web 3.0 is also called the "next-generation Internet" and is a new concept that started in 2018 and is attracting attention as the beginning of the "distributed Internet era". As Web 3.0 became mainstream, non-fungible tokens (NFTs) serving as content as services were distributed, and companies started to introduce NFTs in their marketing campaigns. This is because NFTs can be used to promote brands to new consumers. In this study, using Japan's 「HARTi」 NFT Art as an example, we investigate a new method using urban infrastructure and spaces, not NFTs that exist only in the Japanese art market and online. By analyzing social issues following the introduction of a new digital marketing method based on NFT Art, we will discuss issues and countermeasures in the domestic NFT Art market and present a positive outlook.

  • The task scheduling problem has received a lot of attention in recent years as a crucial area for research in the cloud environment. However, due to the difference in objectives considered by service providers and users, it has become a major challenge to resolve the conflicting interests of service providers and users while both can still take into account their respective objectives. Therefore, the task scheduling problem as a bi-objective game problem is formulated first, and then a task scheduling model based on the bi-objective game (TSBOG) is constructed. In this model, energy consumption and resource utilization, which are of concern to the service provider, and cost and task completion rate, which are of concern to the user, are calculated simultaneously. Furthermore, a many-objective evolutionary algorithm based on a partitioned collaborative selection strategy (MaOEA-PCS) has been developed to solve the TSBOG. The MaOEA-PCS can find a balance between population convergence and diversity by partitioning the objective space and selecting the best converging individuals from each region into the next generation. To balance the players' multiple objectives, a crossover and mutation operator based on dynamic games is proposed and applied to MaPEA-PCS as a player's strategy update mechanism. Finally, through a series of experiments, not only the effectiveness of the model compared to a normal many-objective model is demonstrated, but also the performance of MaOEA-PCS and the validity of DGame.

  • In the next generation mobile communication systems, hybrid massive multiple-input multiple output (MIMO) can be used to highly improve an achievable rate without increasing the number of RF chains. Recently, successive-interference-cancellation (SIC) based hybrid precoder design scheme was proposed to reduce the complexity. However, since this scheme uses simple diagonal matrix for baseband precoding, it cannot solve an interference problem between the transmitted streams. Also, there is a limitation for improving the data rate because of the use of one phase shifter for analog precoding. To solve these problems, in this paper we propose a digital precoding based on the SVD of the effective channel and an analog precoding using two phase shifters. Through simulation, we show that the proposed scheme has better achievable rate and SINR performances than the conventional one.

  • Modern networks and the internet now handle an unprecedented volume of data packets, making efficient traffic management increasingly challenging. To address this issue, next-generation network architectures like Content-Centric Networks (CCN) have emerged. CCN focuses on content-centric data processing to minimize unnecessary traffic. Traditional internet architectures primarily use an end-to-end approach, where multiple users requesting content simultaneously can lead to a surge in traffic. In contrast, CCN optimizes traffic by utilizing in-network cache functions, reducing the time required to serve content to users. Therefore, in CCN, it is crucial to determine which caching policy to apply for effective content management. Existing research has proposed various caching methods based on factors like Hit count and producer popularity. However, these methods often fail to consider content type, resulting in situations where less popular videos are removed in favor of images, potentially increasing network traffic. This study proposes a caching strategy that distinguishes between content type and producer popularity to further reduce network traffic and response time.

  • As with appearing new applications that requires QoS guarantee such as VoIP, VPN in Internet, problems of IP QoS has been one of most important issues in next-generation Internet. IETF has proposed integrated services model(Int-Serv) and differentiated service(Diff-Serv) to supply IP QoS in Internet. Int-Serv model uses the state information of each IP flow, so satisfies QoS according to traffic characteristics, but increases the amount of flow state information with increasing flow number. Diff-Serv model uses PHP(Per Hop Behavior), and there are well-defined classes to provide differentiated traffics with different services according to delay and loss sensitivity. Diff-Serv model can provide diverse services in Internet because of having no the state and signal information of each flow. As MPLS uses the packet forwarding technique based-on label, it implements the traffic engineering in the networks easily. The MPLS can set up the path with different traffic parameters, and assign each path to particular Class of Services. Therefore it is possible to support the Diff-Serv model with well-defined classes. In this paper we investigate the performance improvement of Diff-Serv function in the MPLS network to guarantee class of services in Internet.

  • As a promising technology that enables ubiquitous computing and will lead the information technology industries of the next generation, the new field of sensor networks is one of the most active research topics today. From now on, each node, the network formation, and even the sensor network itself will interact with the generic network and evolve dynamically according to environmental changes, in a process of continual creation and extinction. In this paper, we propose a address-Internetworking scheme for interactive networking between a sensor network and the Internet based on the TCP port-numbers. The proposed scheme enables internetworking between a sensor network address scheme based on Zigbee and the Internet address scheme based on the Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6). We implement the proposed address-Internetworking scheme using Berkeley TinyOS, Mica Motes, and IP. In addition we verify the proposed scheme by an interconnection experiment, which involves wireless sensor networks and the Internet, using IPv4/IPv6.

  • As Internet grows rapidly and next electronic commerce applications increase, the security is getting more important. Information security to provide secure and reliable information transfer is based on cryptography technique. The proposed ISEED(Improved SEED) algorithm based on block cryptography algorithm which belongs to secret-key algorithm. In terms of efficiency, the round key generation algorithm has been proposed to reduces the time required in encryption and decryption. The algorithm has been implemented as follow. 128-bit key is divided into two 64-bit group to rotate each of them 8-bit on the left side and right side, and then basic arithmetic operation and G function have been applied to 4-word outputs. In the process of converting encryption key which is required in decryption and encryption of key generation algorithm into sub key type, the conversion algorithm is analyzed. As a result, the time consumed to encryption and decryption is reduced by minimizing the number of plain text required differential analysis.

  • The Global Framework on Climate Services (GFCS) will guide the development of climate services that link science-based climate information and predictions with climate-risk management and adaptation to climate change. GFCS structure is made up of 5 pillars; Observations/Monitoring (OBS), Research/ Modeling/ Prediction (RES), Climate Services Information System (CSIS) and User Interface Platform (UIP) which are all supplemented with Capacity Development (CD). Corresponding to each GFCS pillar, the Commission for Agricultural Meteorology (CAgM) has been proposing "Global Initiatives in AgroMeteorology" (GIAM) in order to facilitate GFCS implementation scheme from the perspective of AgroMeteorology - Global AgroMeteorological Outlook System (GAMOS) for OBS, Global AgroMeteorological Pilot Projects (GAMPP) for RES, Global Federation of AgroMeteorological Society (GFAMS) for UIP/RES, WAMIS next phase for CSIS/UIP, and Global Centers of Research and Excellence in AgroMeteorology (GCREAM) for CD, through which next generation experts will be brought up as virtuous cycle for human resource procurements. The World AgroMeteorological Information Service (WAMIS) is a dedicated web server in which agrometeorological bulletins and advisories from members are placed. CAgM is about to extend its service into a Grid portal to share computer resources, information and human resources with user communities as a part of GFCS. To facilitate ICT resources sharing, a specialized or dedicated Data Center or Production Center (DCPC) of WMO Information System for WAMIS is under implementation by Korea Meteorological Administration. CAgM will provide land surface information to support LDAS (Land Data Assimilation System) of next generation Earth System as an information provider. The International Society for Agricultural Meteorology (INSAM) is an Internet market place for agrometeorologists. In an effort to strengthen INSAM as UIP for research community in AgroMeteorology, it was proposed by CAgM to establish Global Federation of AgroMeteorological Society (GFAMS). CAgM will try to encourage the next generation agrometeorological experts through Global Center of Excellence in Research and Education in AgroMeteorology (GCREAM) including graduate programmes under the framework of GENRI as a governing hub of Global Initiatives in AgroMeteorology (GIAM of CAgM). It would be coordinated under the framework of GENRI as a governing hub for all global initiatives such as GFAMS, GAMPP, GAPON including WAMIS II, primarily targeting on GFCS implementations.
