본 연구는 미디어에 비친 리더의 이미지를 분석하고 미디어를 통해 재구성된 리더의 평가와 기업의 주가에 상호 관련성이 있는지를 살펴보았다. 구체적으로 세계 최대의 미디어 그룹인 AOL Time Warner의 회장 스티브 케이스의 사례를 대상으로 미국의 대표 경제지 월 스트리트 저널을 분석하였다. 분석기간은 그가 취임한 2000년 1월부터 퇴임한 2003년 5월까지 3년 5개월로 정했다. 미디어는 시장에서 정보중재자로서 기능하기 때문에 월 스트리트 저널의 보도는 투자자들에게 중요한 지표가 된다. 또한 기업 리더의 이미지는 단순히 개인 차원을 넘어서 그 기업을 대변하기 때문에 결과적으로 미디어에 비친 리더의 이미지는 주식시장에서 투자자의 평가에 중요한 요인이다. 분석 결과 스티브 케이스가 회장으로 등극한 초기에는 그의 개인적 이력이 강조되면서 혁신적이고 도전적인 천재로 묘사되어 긍정적인 미지로 그려졌다. 그러나 퇴임시기에는 기업의 부실한 성과에 대해 무책임하고 조화를 이루지 못한 독선적인 모습으로 이미지가 재구성되었다. 이렇게 미디어를 통해 비친 리더의 이미지는 주가 변동과 높은 상관관계에 놓여있었다. 다시 말해 리더가 긍정적인 이미지로 비칠 때 시장에서 그 기업의 주식도 높이 평가되었고, 부정적인 이미지로 부각되었을 때 기업의 주가는 낮게 평가되었다.

본 연구는 커뮤니케이션 분야에서 보편적으로 사용되고 있는 정교화 가능성 모델이 산림분야에서도 적용 가능한지와 미디어간 커뮤니케이션 효과 차이를 검증하고자 하였다. 이 모델이 제시하고 있는 주요 변수인 동기변수(관여도, 인지욕구 및 감성욕구)와 능력변수(사전 지식)가 태토변화에 미치는 영향력을 회귀분석으로 검토한 결과, 대부분의 독립변수들은 유의성이 높아 산림분야도 이 모델을 적용할 수 있다는 것이 확인되었다. 미디어 효과는 TV, 인터넷 및 신문으로 동일한 메시지를 전달한 후, 미디어별 설득력과 회상의 차이로써 검증하였다. 분산분석 결과, TV가 신문보다 설득력이 있었지만 TV와 인터넷 간에는 차이가 없었다. 회상의 경우에는 인터넷과 TV가 신문보다 효과적이었다.

사망기사는 각 언어 문화의 특성이 반영된 귀중한 자료임에도 불구하고, 한국 학계의 관심을 받지 못했다. 특히 언어학적 관점에서 사망기사를 조명한 최근의 연구는 찾아보기 어렵다. 이에 본 연구는 코퍼스 분석기법을 적용하여 한국 및 영미권의 사망기사를 비교 연구하였다. 코퍼스 분석 프로그램 워드스미스(WordSmith)의 어휘목록(wordlist), 클러스터(cluster) 분석과 용례색인(concordance)을 활용하여 한국어와 영어 사망기사에 등장하는 고(高)빈도어를 찾고, 이로부터 각 언어 사망기사의 의미 있는 패턴을 포착하여 각각의 특징을 정리하였다. 본 연구에서 수집 분석한 코퍼스에서 한국과 영미권 사망기사는 뚜렷이 구별되는 특징을 보였다.

본 연구는 전국 인터넷신문 독자를 대상으로 뉴스 선호도 차이를 파악하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 연구방법은 전국에 있는 독자 146명을 무작위로 선정해 2012년 10월 17일 부터 18일까지 설문조사를 실시하였다. 자료분석은 직업군 분석, 성별 분석, 연령별 분석 등으로 하였다. 분석결과 인터넷신문을 학생들이 가장 많이 보는 것으로 나타났다. 성별과 연령에 따라 직업의 차이는 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 성별이 남성은 학생, 회사원, 전문직 순 이었으며, 여성은 학생, 회사원, 무직, 주부 순으로 나타났다. 연구결과 인터넷신문 독자들은 우리 주변에서 일어나는 실시간 뉴스를 시간과 장소에 구애받지 않고 편리하게 보는 것으로 확인됐다. 본 연구의 시사점은 유가지인 종이신문 구독자들이 쉽게 볼 수 있는 휴대폰을 이용해 무료인 인터넷신문으로 전환하고 있는 분석결과가 언론정책에 활용할 수 있는 이론적 근거를 제시하였다는 것이다.

본 연구는 경향신문, 국민일보, 한겨레, 한국일보 총 4개의 신문기사에서 정보화 및 도서관과 관련해서 1998년부터 2017년까지 20년간의 객관적인 신문 데이터를 통해 한국의 정보화 트렌드를 분석해 보고자 수행되었다. 이에 본 연구는 뉴스 빅데이터 시스템인 빅카인즈(BigKinds)를 활용하여 메타데이터 및 연관어(공기어) 분석 결과를 바탕으로, 키워드 '정보', '정보화'와 '도서관'의 시대별, 분야별로 단순빈도 분석과 군집 및 분류 등의 결과를 분석하여 제시하였고, 이를 바탕으로 정부기관의 발행물인 '정보화백서'와 문헌정보학 분야의 '학술지'의 연구 주제와 비교를 통해 언론과 연구에서 나타나는 정보화의 경향을 비교, 분석해 보았다. 본 연구는 언론을 바탕으로 형성된 국내 정보화의 트렌드를 해석하고자 시도했으며, 장기시계열적 데이터인 신문기사의 빅데이터를 활용하여 분석하였다는데 그 의의가 있다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 국내의 정보화와 함께한 도서관의 성장과 발전의 함의와 시사점을 제시하였다. 또한 향후 지속적인 연구를 통해 정보화와 도서관정보화정책 발전방향의 기본적인 틀을 만들 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.

The increasing use of newsprints in the media and an advertisement have brought the needs to improve the printing quality of the advance full-color newspaper. The printability coefficients used in this research such as Ymax for the density and Tollenaar's density smoothness constant value $\ulcorner$m$\lrcorner$ were introduced early in Europe and have been in use to control printing quality. In order to improve printing quality of domestic full-color newsprints, those printability coefficients could be used to control printing quality. This study was carried out to measure the printability coefficients of domestic full-color newspapers. Four kinds of domestic newspapers and two kinds of newspaper printing inks were tested by IGT printability tester. The printed density smoothness coefficient $\ulcorner$m$\lrcorner$ value showed good results when the samples have low porosity and roughness. The printability coefficients obtained are expected to be useful to the korean newspaper printing industry.

이 연구는 사학 관련 현상을 이해하고 사학 정책에 대한 시사점을 제시하기 위하여, 보수언론과 진보언론의 신문 사설에 대한 네트워크 텍스트 분석을 실시하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 신문 사설에서 사학은 사립대학과 관련된 이슈가 많고 사립초 중등학교와 사립대학 간에 구별되는 쟁점이 있음을 알 수 있다. 둘째, 신문 사설에서 등록금과 재정 지원, 자율형사립고와 같은 새로운 사학의 확대 등과 관련된 '조장적 관점'과 분규 문제 사학의 퇴출과 같은 '통제적 관점'이 모두 나타나고 있음을 확인하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로, 사학에 대한 관점은 과거의 프레임에서 벗어나 교육기관의 '책무성'과 이를 위한 '학교 역량 구축'이라는 기준으로 재정립할 필요가 있음을 제시하였다.

In this paper, we look at mediation of public policies in different areas of governance. Editorials appearing in an Indian English language newspaper during the period of an intense public debate on the issue of affirmative action in favor of a section of the population, the Other Backward Classes (OBC) - a popular reference to the socially and educationally backward classes of citizens under India's constitution constitute the sample for the study. Apart from editorials on the public policy of reservation of seats in admission to higher education institutions for the OBC, editorials on three other areas of governance, namely, development, economy, and public administration appearing in the same newspaper, are also consulted to understand media framing of social issues and more specifically, issues of social justice. Inductively identifying the various frames used in its editorials by the newspaper, I detect predominant use of 'personalized' frame in respect of editorials pertaining to the policy area of social justice; and distinguish it from the 'generic' frame of 'characterization' found in theory. The study concludes that the sample editorials in respect of other public policies did not use the personalized frame found in editorials on social justice.

본 연구는 미디어 프레임과 개인 프레임이 신문 기사에 대한 독자의 태도와 공정성 지각에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보고자 했다. 연구 1에서는 한국의 2008년 촛불시위 기사 그리고 연구 2에서는 한국 정부의 4대강 사업 기사에 대한 프레임 효과를 알아보기 위해, 대학생을 대상으로 각 이슈에 대하여 3(미디어 프레임: 호의적 vs. 비호의적 vs. 중립적 헤드라인) × 3(개인 프레임: 호의적 vs. 비호의적 vs. 중립적 신문사) 집단 간 실험 연구를 하였다. 그 결과, 두 연구에서 각 이슈에 대한 언론사의 지각된 태도에 미디어 프레임과 개인 프레임의 유의미한 효과가 있었지만 상호작용은 유의미하지 않았다. 기사의 지각된 공정성에서는 개인 프레임이 부분적으로 유의미한 효과를 보인 반면, 미디어 프레임의 효과나 두 프레임의 상호작용은 없었다. 이러한 결과는 기사에 대한 개인의 태도와 공정성 지각이 기사 내용 뿐 아니라 기사의 출처에도 영향을 받을 수 있음을 보여준 것이다. 또한 텍스트 이외에도 헤드라인으로 조작한 미디어 프레임의 효과 역시 재확인하였다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the sole of local newspaper for community development in Korea. Specific objectives of the study were : 1) to identify the role of local newspaper in community development, 2) to analyze problems and situations on local newspapers in Korea, and 3) to suggest desirable roles of local newspaper for the community development. To attain the above objectives, this study was carried out through literature review, contest analysis of selected local newspapers, and the questionnaire survey of selected readers of local newspaper. The data were collected from 267 readers of local newspaper who participated in the farmers` training session in the Rural Development Administration, by using questionnaires developed by the researcher, and total of 263 questionnaires were analyzed. The statistical techniques used for the study were frequence, percentile, standard deviation utilizing the $SPSS/PC^+$. The major findings of the study were as follows : 1. The major roles of functions of local newspapers identified in this study were summarized as to reinforce the community consciousness, to form community opinion, to watch and to monitor community environment, to provide education and entertainment, and to contribute to the conveyance and promotion of community culture. 2. The general characteristic of local newspaper readers surveyed were; a) average distance from town to their village was 9.3 Km, b) average age was 29 years, c) about 75% of them were senior high school graduates, and d) about 96% of them participated in group activities. 3. About 45% of the respondents used television or radio for their moor sources of local news were TV or radio, while about 31% respondents used immunity newspaper for their moor sources of local news. About 67% of the respondents kept their readership over two years, and about 40% of them read community newspaper regularly at their home. 4. The results of content analysis showed drat the local newspapers were dealing with articles on cultural affairs, community consciousness, administrative and civic affairs, however, there were not enough educational news, and various kinds of general news in the community. 5. Survey also showed the most needed news were ; 1) political news including administrative and civic affairs, 2) economic news including sales and distribution, 3) social news including social problems on environmental pollution and community development works, 4) educational news including technology and information, 5) cultural news including guide to cultural and historical sites and local brief news. 6. In the evaluation of local newspaper, the readers were generally positive in valued roles of local newspaper in community relations, community development, promoting community cohesion and understanding of community members, and about 40% of the respondents were positive in predicting the bright future perspectives of local newspapers. 7. In the readers` evaluation of local newspaper, readers responded that local newspapers were very closely related to the community and residents, reflecting the current concerns of local population and recognizing the value of community media, and the contents of local newspaper were positively related to daily lives of community residents and opinions of overall community.
