  • According to the second scheme of the Korean Government about technology development, utilization and popularization of new renewable energy, the continuous growth of distributed resources are expected. But there is a few paper about recloser and sectionalizer coordination and protection scheme in distribution system interconnected a number of distributed resources. In this paper, it is dealt with that recloser and sectionalizer coordination at the cases concerned with position among protection devices. Adding distributed resource, the problems of each case are investigated through simulation.

  • Offshore remote-sensing wind extraction using SAR satellite image is an emerging and promising technology for offshore wind resource assessment. We compared our numerical weather prediction and offshore wind extraction from ENVISAT images around Korea offshore areas. A few comparison sets showed good agreement but more comparisons are required to draw application guideline on a statistical basis.

  • In activated macrophages the inducible form of nitric oxide synthase (i-NOS) generates high amounts of toxic mediator, nitric oxide (NO) which contributes to the circulatory failure associated with septic shock. A sesquiterpene lactone compound (yomogin) isolated from medicinal plant Artemisia princeps Pampan inhibited the production of NO in LPS-activated RAW 264.7 cells by suppressing i-NOS enzyme expression. Thus, yomogin may be a useful candidate for the development of new drugs to treat endotoxemia and inflammation accompanied by the overproduction of NO.

  • In this study, new bond-slip model is proposed. The proposed bond-slip model which has bilinear ascending regions and exponential descending region by modifying the conventional bilinear bond-slip model has been verified. Then, result by finite element analyses using interface element implemented with bond-slip model compared well with those of existing experiment researches on bond-slip models. It is shown that bond strength and effective bond length predicted by the bond-slip model and finite element analysis is good agreement with those of pull tests.

  • This paper presents Hybrid PI(HBPI) controller of induction motor drive using fuzzy control. In general, PI controllers used in computer numerically controlled machines process fixed gain. They may perform well under some operating conditions, but not all. To increase the robustness of fixed gain PI controller, HBPI controller proposes a new method based self tuning PI controller. HBPI controller is developed to minimize overshoot and settling time following sudden parameter changes such as speed, load torque, inertia, rotor resistance and self inductance. The results on a speed controller of induction motor are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed gam tuner. And this controller is better than the fixed gains one in terms of robustness, even under great variations of operating conditions and load disturbance.

  • This paper considers the design and implementation of novel technique of speed estimation and control for IPMSM using hybrid intelligent control. The hybrid combination of neural network and adaptive fuzzy control will produce a powerful representation flexibility and numerical processing capability. Also, this paper is proposed speed control of IPMSM using adaptive neural network fuzzy(A-NNF) and estimation of speed using artificial neural network(ANN) controller. This paper is proposed the theoretical analysis as well as the simulation results to verify the effectiveness of the new hybrid intelligent control.

  • New quadruply-bridged calix[6]arenes (I-V) have been studied as cesium selective ionophores in poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) membrane electrodes. PVC membranes were prepared with dioctyl sebacate (DOS) or 2-nitrophenyl octyl ether (o-NPOE) as the sol vent mediator and potassium tetrakis(p-chlorophenyl)borate as the lipophilic salt additive. These ionophores produced electrodes with near-Nernstian slope. The selectivity coefficients for cesium ion with respect to alkali, alkaline earth and ammonium ions have been determined. The lowest detection limit (logaCs+ = -6.3) and the higher selectivity coefficient (logkpotCs+,Rb+ = -2.1 by SSM, -2.3 by FIM for calix[6]arene I) for Cs+ have been obtained for membranes containing quadruply-bridged calix[6]arenes (I, Ⅱ, Ⅲ), which have no para t-butyl substituents on the bridging benzene ring.
