근현대 한글 컴퓨터서체의 변화와 디지털폰트가 Caligraphy에 준 영향에 관한 연구 (Studies about Changes in Modern Korean Font and Effect of Digital Font to Caligraphy Design Thinking of Korea)

  • 최근의 우리나라 타이포그래피의 트랜드가 다양해지고 있다. 그 중에서 2005년 이후에 나타난 트랜드가 캘리그라피인데 일반적인 담론은 우연의 현상으로 보고 있는 것이 현실이다. 그러나 한글캘리그래피의 태동은 한글타이포그라피에 관심이 있어 지켜보는 관점에서는 전혀 그렇지가 않다. 그 이유는 한글의 기계화가 미국이나 일본보다 늦어서이다. 우리나라는 일본에 병합되고 6.25민족동란을 겪으면서 경제적 자립이 늦어지고 그에 맞는 문화적인 발전도 늦어졌다. 우리글인 한글이 자립한 시점도 1990년 초반으로 컴퓨터의 도입과 함께 한글의 원도를 스캔하여 기본적인 기틀을 구축함과 시기를 같이한다. 80년대 후반부터 한글에 자주화에 많은 노력이 있었으나 소프트웨어적인 문제보다 한글은 하드웨어적인 부분의 어려움을 겪었다. 90년대 초반에는 주로 기본적인 글자생활을 하기위한 명조나 고딕체등 최정호의 서체를 컴퓨터라는 하드웨어에 끼워 맞추는 것이 전부였다면 그 이후 90년대 후반까지는 새로운 아이디어와 기획되어진 서체를 디자인적으로 양식화된 서체를 만들어 보급하는데 중점을 두었던 시대라 할 수 있다. 2000년대에 들어서서는 한국서체회사의 양대 메이저라고 할 수 있는 산돌글자은행과 윤디자인연구소가 새롭게 만들어 선보인 서체들이 산돌글자은행의 '옛멋글씨'(주로 한글개발이후 목판본)를 윤디자인연구소는 서예느낌이 나는 '필' 시리즈를 내놓음으로 손 글씨의 맛을 디자인 시장에 맛보였다. 이러한 반복된 과정은 지금의 캘리그래프로 나가는 자연스러운 원동력이 되었고 이 양대 메이저의 회사의 역할은 지금의 캘리그래피의 시대를 낳는 자연스러운 산파역할을 했다.

헤어살롱 서비스스케이프 차별화 성공사례 ("Servicescape" Differentiation in a Hair Salon)

  • Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to find out the effect of changes in the differentiated "servicescape" on the business performance in the hair salon industry using a case study. For this, we selected hair salon M located in Suwon. The shop is innovatively different from existing shops in terms of spatial layout and functionality. We conducted in-depth research, beginning with the launch of the shop concept through investment and ongoing stable sales. Research design, data, and methodology - The M hair salon is a start up shop providing a differentiated servicescape (physical environment where the service takes place) located in Suwon, Yeongtong-gu. We conducted research to investigate how spatial layout and functionality of the servicescape impact customers' perceived quality. The interview period and case analysis was May 2014 through March 2015, covering 11 months. To conduct the case analysis, we analyzed the spatial layout and functionality of existing shops and interviewed customers and experts about the difference between hair salon M and existing shops. Results - Our results found clues to the positive effect of spatial layout and functionality among servicescape factors on perceived service quality at the salon. The shop showed a fast payback of the principal investment, growth potential in contrast to competitors near the salon, and 45 percent returning customers. The problem with the spatial layout at existing shops was that customers were aware of the way other people were looking at them, since viewing angles overlapped, therefore there was a limitation to the relationship intensity with an exclusive hair designer. In contrast, the layout of the stands at the M salon kept the number of dressing stands limited to maximize the customer's emotional response. Additionally, because of the new layout of dressing stands hiding other customer voices and appearance in the salon, customers perceived their service space as independent. Therefore, they did not have to focus on their personal emotional response, which was one of the advantages of the new layout. Conclusions - This study conducted case study analysis by offering a new perspective focusing on spatial layout, previously not considered as an independent variable of quality evaluations and customer satisfaction in existing literature on hair salon management. Therefore, this study contributes to the field by offering an opportunity to discover the causal relationships between the overlooked physical environment and a customer's perceived quality. However, a process objectifying the results of the study through empirical analysis and hypotheses is needed to overcome the limitations of the case study approach and generalize the results. Moreover, it would be beneficial to conduct further empirical study of the relationship between the spatial layout provided in the case and a customer's emotional response and change in mood. In addition, an analysis is needed regarding how customers feel about the factors using the Kano Model. These suggestions would be considered in further study.

장 폴 골티에 작품에 나타난 내적 해체경향 (The Internal Deconstruction Trend Expressed in the Works of Jean Paul Gaultier)

  • This study reviews the concept and characteristics of the deconstruction philosophy in order to analyze the major aspects of the fashion world called the deconstruction fashion based on the deconstruction philosophy, and analyzes the works of Jean Paul Gaultier in terms of Derrida's deconstruction theory. The scope of this research is from 1980 to present, and this study fashion on the many kinds of literature on philosophy, aesthetics and literary criticism, and the domestic and international fashion journals and magazines. The deconstructionism is the philosophical theory which denies the traditionally recognized logocentric metaphysical theory and refuses the closed world and pursues the open world, opposing the dichotomic theory which is the deep-rooted tradition of the Western philosophy. The results of analyses centering on the internal deconstruction trend expressed in the works of Jean Paul Gaultier are as follows. 1 The past style combined with the present appears in the form of the entirely new trace, not the past emotion and meaning in Gaultier's works transcending the time and space. 2 Gaultier presents the unconventional intermeaning of meanings, producing various possibilities according to the wearing method of the wearer by layering several clothes. 3. Gaultier breaks from masculinity and femininity in the intertextuality of gender, and decomposes the fixed idea of men's or ladies'wear through the design sharing bisexual text. 4. In the intertextuality of T.P.O., Gaultier presents the problem of how to wear by mixing different items through obscuring the division of the nature of time, space, and purpose. Especially Gaultier can be called the first designer who, worthy of the father of the deconstructionism, has introduced in the fashion making inner wear like outer wear. 5. In the intertextuality of coordination, Gaultier presents a new perspective of coordination through free combination and contrast, raising a question about the man-made harmony criterion and deconstructing the clothes. On the other hand, Gaultier expresses the intertextuality of the material through the heterogeneous combination of the material. 6. The decomposition trend expressed in the many works of Gaultier reflects an open mind presenting a new perspective through the distortion of the form, exaggeration, and break from the existing construction method. 7. The decentering trend in the works of Gaultier is found to deconstruct the Western-dominated elements against the background of subcultural elements, the elements borrowed from the minority race, md the Oriental culture. 8. The discontinuity clothes of Gaultier present the disordered principle of design without the uniform rules, and express the unrestrained freedom without captivation by the preconceived idea through the disruption of the dress and its ornaments just like Gaultier.

시맨틱 웹 기반 상황인지 서비스를 위한 동적 서비스 제공 모델 (A Dynamic Service Supporting Model for Semantic Web-based Situation Awareness Service)

  • 시맨틱 웹 서비스 기술은 상황 인지의 실현을 위한 기반 기술로 다양한 자원들을 동적이고 유연하게 상호 융합하여 새로운 서비스를 생성한다. 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 기술이 현실화됨에 따라 웹 서비스를 구현하려는 연구가 활발하지만, 대부분이 웹 서비스 설계자의 최초 명세에 국한된 획일화된 서비스 결과만을 초래한다. 본 논문에서는 사용자 요구와 감지한 상황의 월드 모델을 분석하여 계획 시스템에 목표와 초기 상태로 입력하고 초기 상태로부터 목표를 달성하기 위한 일련의 작업들을 계획하는 동적 서비스 제공을 위한 모델링 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법론은 실세계로부터 감지한 월드모델을 OWL 도메인 온톨로지를 이용하여 서술논리 기반 온톨로지 추론을 통해 상황정보(context)를 추론한다. 상황정보는 서비스 도메인을 결정하며, 이에 해당하는 OWL-S 서비스 온톨로지를 계획 시스템에서 탐색할 서비스 명세로 활용한다. 계획 시스템은 초기 상태에서 목표 상태를 만족하는 하나 이상의 서비스를 탐색하고 실행 순서를 계획한다. 이 시스템은 STRIPS 형의 역방향 탐색 시스템으로 OWL-S 서비스를 AI 전통 계획 방법론에 근거하여 합성하여, 방대한 웹 서비스의 탐색 범위를 축소한다. 또한 패턴 매칭에 의해 실행 가능한 서비스를 찾지 못한 경우, DL기반의 시맨틱 매칭을 통해 대안이 되는 서비스를 찾는다. 제안한 방법은 비교연구인 OWLS-XPlan과 동일한 시나리오로 실험하여 기존 연구의 문제점을 해결하고, 동적 서비스 실현을 위한 모델링 방법으로써 가능성을 검증한다.

  • Purpose - Because creativity, which is an intangible resource embedded within the company, can offer a competitive advantage, most companies have an interest in promoting creativity among their employees and division(e.g., marketing organization). Creativity renders a sustainable competitive advantage to a firm because it is a strategic resource that is valuable, flexible, rare, and imperfectly imitable or substitutable. Although most companies broadly recognize the importance of creativity, the methods for developing creativity remain elusive. Therefore, the present study investigates how to structure incentives to motivate employees to be more creative and how to develop tools to facilitate creativity. In detail, the present study aimed to examine the relationship between the regulatory focus of marketing organizations(e.g., promotion focus vs prevention focus) and creativity of marketing organizations. In addition, the present study set out to examine the moderating role of interaction of financial reward and creative training in addition to investigating the direct relationship between creativity and regulatory focus in New Product Development(NPD) context. Research design, data, and methodology - The data used to test the hypotheses are drawn from a survey of full time NPD project members(including project manager, designer, engineer, and marketer). The present study utilized data obtained mainly from a database compiled by the Korea Investors Service-Financial Analysis System which provides comprehensive corporate and financial information on firms listed on the Korea Stock Exchange. A study population comprising 1,000 South Korean firms was obtained from this database. We selected 864 firms from the database, and the firms have experiences of new product development project. We collected a total of 162 responses, for a 18.8% response rate. After we excluded 14 questionnaire because of incomplete responses, a total of 148 questionnaire remained(final response rate: 17.1%). SPSS 18.0 and AMOS software were used in the data analysis. Results - The empirical study confirmed that promotion focus of marketing organization is positively related to creativity of marketing organization. Also, prevention focus of marketing organization is positively affected to creativity of marketing organization. In addition, the interaction between financial rewards and creativity training moderated the relationship between regularity focus(e.g.), promotion focus vs prevention focus) and creativity of marketing organization. These results suggest that managers can improve the performances of their creative efforts by providing the use of financial rewards and creativity training in combination. Conclusion - Based on results of this study that examine the effects of regulatory focused creative efforts on creativity of marketing organization, promotion focus is helpful with marketing organizations to enhance their service innovation and performance. Prevention focused organization should allow monetary rewards and creativity training to increase their creativity for innovation of new products.

시뮤와 크워스트(Seymour Chwast)의 작품세계에 대한 연구-독창적인 캐리커쳐(Caricature)를 중심으로- (A Study of Seymour Chwast Focusing on his creative)

  • 일러스트레이터이자 그래픽 디자이너이며, 아트디렉터이기도 한 시뮤와 크워스트(Seymour Chwast)는1950년대로부터 현대에 이르기까지 어느 한 분야에 국한되지 않고 다양하게 활동한 미국의 작가이다. 그의 디자인 세계는 일러스트레이션, 그래픽디자인, 포스터, 타이포그래픽, 출판 등 그야말로 예술 전 분야에 골고루 펼쳐져 있다. 그의 많은 작품들은 그 자신만이 가지고 있는 독창적인 어법으로 인물 혹은 사건 등을 신랄하게 풍자하여 대중에게 힘있게 전달되며 오래도록 머릿속에 기억된다. 그의 이러한 창의적인 아이디어는 그가 다루고 있는 영역 전반에 걸쳐 형상화되고 있으며 특히 그의 독특한 캐리커쳐는 모든 디자이너들에게 훌륭한 영감을 제공해 주고 있는 것이다. 크위스트가 어느 한 스타일의 양식에 국한되지 않고 자유분방하게 새로운 스타일을 추구한다는 정신은 창의적 사고과정으로부터 기안한 것이라고 하겠고, 또 모든 작품에서 보여 주는‘창의적(Creative)인 발상’은 매우 흥미로우며 재치가 있어 새롭고 획기적인 것을 요구하는 이 시대에 가장 환영받는 요소들인지도 모른다. 본 연구의 목적은 창의적(Creative)인 발상이 탁월한 시뮤와 크워시트가 가지고 있는 디자인 철학과 창의적인 작업과정, 특히 독창적이고 참신한 상상력의 산물인 작품 중에서 독특한 작품 속의 캐리커쳐를 분석, 고찰함으로써 그가 제시하는 새로운 시각 언어의 독창성을 발견하고 그 의미를 찾아내는데 있다고 하겠다.

구스타프 클림트 회화에 표현된 의상에 관한 연구 (A Study of Costume on Gustav Klimt's Paintings)

  • The purpose of this study is to research characteristics of costume which is expressed in Gustav Klimt's Paintings. In the end of 19th century and the beginning of 20century Vienna, considered to be the fashion Mecca after Paris, the creativity of such artists allowed the 'Anti-Fashion Movement' to set itself up against the frippery of the costume of the time. The Secession Movement received the effect of Art Nouveau and Symbolism and Klimt led of this movement as a forerunner in Vienna. Many women appealed in Klimt's Painting with unique costume which contrast to traditional fashion that period time. The characteristics of costume in his paintings are as follows. Firstly, Klimt drew in the women's costume which made by designers of Vienna Workshops, at one of motive of his work of art. Costume got a opportunity became a new art field, because there was no conceptual thinking of a fashion designer at that time. Secondly, the costume of Klimt' paintings had both anti-fashion design and elements of fashion, so he gained considerable support from leaders of high fashion who was the upper classes. Thirdly, both anti-fashion and fashion appeared in his painting at first period. Costume which made at the Vienne Workshop appealed portraits of Klimt paints at the second period. Klimt interested in Naturalism, Japonism, Orientalism and Greece style and expressed his characteristic techniques at the last period. Lastly, Klimt liberated the woman from a physical and spirit restriction through his various artistic presentations.

국내외 패션 저널에 나타난 한국적 패션 기사내용 분석 (Content Analysis of Articles of Korean Fashion in Domestic and Foreign Fashion Journals)

  • This study locates typical Korean fashion images in domestic and foreign fashion journals to advance Korea's international image in contemporary global fashion markets. The investigation of the frequency of articles and their types (so as to inquire into interest in Korean fashion in the global fashion markets) showed that for the appearance frequency of domestic articles studied, a good number of articles were published in the first half of 2008 and in 2009. In the case of foreign articles, the number of them increased from the second half of 2008 and the majority of articles were shown in the first half of 2010. Second, the investigation of the appearance features by article type studied in order to understand how Korean fashion played a role in the world's markets. The majority of articles were related to fashion brands that entered Chinese market in fashion brand articles in the case of domestic articles; however, many foreign articles introduced designers that participated in global fashion collections in Paris and New York. Third, as a result of analyzing typical key words by article type in order to find key words which could enhance Korea's fashion national image representing, we could confirm that 'Korean designers' can be a typical key words to represent Korean fashion. The key word most exposed in both domestic and foreign articles was 'designer Lie Sang Bong' and only his articles contained the content about influential Korean design materials.

학교공간혁신사업 운영 가이드라인에 관한 연구 - 인천광역시교육청 미래교실사업 매뉴얼 중심으로 - (A Study on Guidelines for School Space Innovation Project - focused on the Manual for Project of Future Classroom in Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education -)

  • Today, the paradigm of education is changing from teacher-centered, facility-centered, supplier-centered to student-centered, people-centered, and user-centered. In 2019, the Ministry of Education promoted the school space innovation project to provide a school space as a balanced life space, such as learning, play, and rest, through educational activities led by students, who are the leaders of the future society. Based on this, Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education prepared a manual for practice while carrying out a project to build a future classroom. In those projects 'user participatory design' is applied as a new design approach and facilitators play an important role as experts in the process of user participatory design. However, it is different from the guidelines by the Ministry of Education in terms of facilitator role; facilitator in Incheon's future classroom projects can be in charge of designer part. This was possible because the design scope was limited to the classroom space and the construction permit work was not applied, and the Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education seems to be able to successfully implement the plan derived through 'user participatory design' under the responsibility of the facilitator. However, this may be considered to be inconsistent with the basic purpose of the school space innovation project. In the case of the school unit project, it is considered that more systematic supplementation is necessary.

컴퓨터그래픽스를 이용한 사실적인 3D 인물 일러스트레이션의 표현 (Realistic 3-dimensional using computer graphics Expression of Human illustrations)

  • 사람의 얼굴은 정체성의 시각적 상징이다. 사람마다 각기 다른 얼굴 모습은 타인과 구별할 수 있도록 하는 중요한 역할을 하면서 개인의 정체성과 직결된다. 역사적으로 볼 때 얼굴에 대한 시대적 인식의 변화와 함께 표현매체와 커뮤니케이션매체가 다양해지고 발전함에 따라 얼굴을 표현하는 것에도 많은 변화가 있었다. 그러나 지금처럼 얼굴에 대한 사람들의 관심과 주목이 컸던 적이 없었다. 기술적으로는 컴퓨터그래픽스의 등장으로 얼굴표현의 새로운 전기를 맞이하게 되었다. 특히 시각 이미지들이 디지털형태로 제작, 저장, 전송할 수 있게 되어 시간적, 공간적제약이 없어지면서 시각이미지정보는 커뮤니케이션에서 그 비중이 전보다 더 커지고 있다. 그 중에서 디지털로 만들어진 얼굴 이미지는 그 활용도가 점차 확대되고 있다. 이에 따라 컴퓨터그래픽스를 이용한 얼굴의 3d (3-dimensional) 표현은 수년전부터 얼굴 각 부분의 형태와 텍스추어 맵 등 각 요소들을 필요할 때 마치 퍼즐 조각처럼 조립해서 전문적인 기술이 없이도 손쉽게 표현할 수 있게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 3d 얼굴표현의 제작단계별 내용을 연구하고 그 결과를 바탕으로 케이스 스터디에서 시각화함으로써 3d 전문가가 아닌 일반 시각디자이너들이 3d 형태의 얼굴을 효과적으로 표현하는 방법을 연구한다.
