The purposes of this study were to compare Louis I. Kahn and Rem Koolhaas, both of whom established their architectural theories and granted rationality to them by applying the theory of psychoanalysis, and examine common and different characteristics in the inner space composition of a building between them. The study also set out to confirm a basic premise based on which to develop a metaphysical design concept by applying the theory of psychoanalysis in the inner space composition of contemporary architecture in future from the more developed and integrated perspective of modern psychoanalysis. As a result, Kahn sought after a metaphysical design concept through the combinations of inner unit spaces including servant and served space, which are comparable to the confrontation between consciousness and unconsciousness from the perspective of psychoanalysis. Unlike him, Koolhaas applied the concept of folding to his architectural plans based on the theory of post-structuralism and created a metaphysical design concept by more focusing on connections between unit spaces rather than their combinations. While Kahn worked on his designs with much interest in the combinations of inner unit spaces in horizontal circulation by separating it from vertical circulation, Koolhaas created a new design concept beyond the limitations of Kahn, who had a confronting, dichotomous view of the world between the phenomenal world and the metaphysical world, by making use of inclined slabs to connect upper slabs with lower ones. The findings show that there can be various metaphysical design concepts depending on how to connect and combine two confronting concepts when applying the theory of psychoanalysis to architectural design.

Proceedings in a new field of sciences and technologies like genetic engineering challenge to conventional concepts. It demonstrates a certain disappearance in conventional concepts that dominants our perceptions, such as organic, mechanical, and dichotomic concept of informative materials, and that is to be extended as a potential possibility. Then, what is a new space where our bodies that feel and cherish in their mind should live in these days as well as it makes senses by itself and should affect the principle that makes worlds? In addition, this study proposes a frame in the analysis in order to understand a section of modern designs with the question of 'what is the change in the relationship between relative structures in spaces and objects from a design point of view according to new structural concepts of body?' The major point of this analysis can be realized based on the assumption of the extension of the characteristics in the change of structural relationship in the aspect of post structuralism that includes non-structuralized relationship represented in modern philosophy, arts, and architectural works. Then, it can be accomplished as positive ideas in the foundation of space designs in future including the understand of 'new structural relationship' that can't be expressed as rationality and causal sequence by considering how the experiment conducted using several topics on body can be projected onto spaces through the process applied in the experiment.

Paris Agreement of Climate Change seem affect to Korea eco-policy. Meanwhile the eco-design for reduce carbon emission have been applied in design phase of construction. However eco-design have applied passively except the project of eco-building system. For reflect eco-component in design, design VE that be appling to basic design and executing design phase of all construction project of over 10 billion should be use. But present applying VE Job Plan is reflecting partly eco-component, so the effect is small. Therefor new eco-VE development that reflect eco-elements to exist VE need. As the result of this study, the concept of environmental cost is defined to accounting. The calculation of the cost was using methods that apply $CO_2$ emission trading price, WTP, carbon productivity concept and carbon tax based on $CO_2$ emission. However, in order to apply eco-friendly VE at design phase, the model of new concept included carbon productivity concept is necessary. The eco-friendly VE model of new concept is model using $CO_2$ emission and potential environmental pollution index (PEPI). This study tried define eco-value model and environmental cost definition that become the major axle of eco-VE.

The purpose of this study is to explore the interior therapy that introduced the concept of therapy into interior space. This study examines interior therapy based on the concepts of stress and therapy. As the study methods, a qualitative analysis to review the concept of interior therapy was conducted together with a quantitative analysis on the current state of domestic therapy-related researches. The scope of the study is limited to domestic journals published from 1988, when the first domestic research was embarked on to analyze the current status of therapy-related researches, until November 2016. According to the study results, the domestic therapy-related studies were mainly focused on aromatherapies and food therapies. By year, the first domestic study of its kind was conducted on logotherpay in 1988. And until 2000, studies were carried out mainly on aromatherapies. Since then, new psychotherapy research fields have emerged; color therapy in 2003 and food therapy in 2008. However, in the space design field except for color therapy-related researches, there have been not sufficient studies on the indoor space therapy field that investigates the possibility of indoor space as a therapy from an integrated viewpoint. Therefore, this study reviewed domestic researches on interior therapy which applied the concept of therapy to interior design and suggested three cognitive-emotional-behavioral measures as healing factors. Finally, this study is expected to be used as basic data for design planning and curriculum development which apply the concept of therapy to interior design-related fields.

Harmony between men and their surroundings has been one of the most profound motives in space and object design for a long time. It is often expressed in design as the concept of 'organic'. Nowdays the term of organic is expanding its meaning in the contemporary sense of organicism. Nature, human 'beings, and digital technology are the key issues in future design paradigms. Karim Rashid is one of the most futuristic and vendible designer and his works show these issues. His designs flow organically and he uses materials that allow his forms to flow like the body, echoing life forms. it's very sensual, very tactile. In his work, a new concept of organic design is expressed in the organic unity of experience. He tries to contribute objects to our physical landscape that inspires, engages, and encourage positive experiences. Also, Technology is at constant play in his design process. With the latest three dimensional design software it is much easier to design and model sophisticated and complex shape and forms. Digital technology affects not only his design processes but also cultural views. New technologies and social shifts are changing our understanding of interior space.

Top Drive Machine is drilling equipment which transfers motor torque to the drill bit. Kelly Rotary Table of the Derrick Drilling Machine (DDM) is firstly developed at 1983, and the first commercial model DDM 650DC was released at 1984. Offshore drilling business is high value-added industries. "N" Company of U.S.A and "A" company of Norway hold more than 90 percent of the global offshore drill system market, so it is hard to take away market share and develop offshore drilling equipment. Consequently, this paper introduce method for concept design of new reliability machine by limited information. To achieve this, design & analysis tools as CATIA, DELMIA, Pro Engineering, ANSYS were used to evaluate design error and strength/flow analysis at new concept design in Top Drive Machine.

A new line code design technique based on the BUDA(Binary Unit DSV and ASV) concept is introduced. The new line code called MB34 and designed by this new technique is of the minimum bandwidth, dc-free, and runlength limited. To confirm the performance of the new code, its power spectrum and eye pattern are obtained, wherein spectral nulls at dc(f=0) and Nyguist frequency (f=1/2Ts) are clearly identified. It is also discussed how the transmission errors can be detected by monitoring the DSV, the ASV, and the runlength.

The existential space concept which introduced the sense of place that began emerging recently together with the change of space concept results from people's fundamental existential humane aspect as the subject of perceptive experience. The tendencies of enlargement layering and diversification which we can see in contemporary architecture imply the possibility that elements of urban image can be incorporated into interior design. This study utilizes Kevin Lynch's theory which tries to relate environment to existential space. In this study we re-analyze and apply Lynch's $\ulcorner$the Theory of Urban Image$\lrcorner$to interior space and using the conclusion from a case study examine the applicability of the theory about visual perception to interior design. This study considers a new method of analysis to perceive and grasp interior space through the understanding of the cognitive map and image concept.

Architecture should deviate from euclidean ideas of abstract space while helping to accommodate individual perceptions and experiences of a given space. Concepts for making space should be cognitively processed. The process of gathering information from the environment represents a new spatial concept as expressed in the cognitive structural relationship between the environment and the individual as the subject of architecture. Additionally, the cognitive experience of space is primarily perceived visually, and visual perception is the basis for information-gathering and decision-making. Therefore architecture should be excluded from the conceptual focus on the existing space design rules, being expressed instead in experimental architectural spaces connected to subjective human experience. While some research has been done on this topic regarding architecture, further study is required in the area of interior design. This study proposes the possibility of composing effective living space through an investigation of cognitive space concept theory and expression elements, and includes a case study of Interior architectural spatial analysis.

Currently, brand apartment is positioning itself as one of the representative Korean housing. This allows to look into the planning side and cultural side of the Korean housing. The purpose of this study is to review the previous trend in apartment housing according to period, and to verify the trend of current Korean apartment housing by visiting the model houses in PanGyo, the new city. This study has chosen case study method of 11 cases which had been sorted out in different floor plan type and size. The findings of the study is as followed. In the aspect of spatial arrangement, it had been similar to the previous apartment plan but had a new attempt to break out from the old apartment structure by bring in round shaped living room. Also, due to the legalization of balcony expansion, various tries had been made to increase the level of function and to allow variety of usage. In the environmental aspect, the concept of wellbeing and health had been a great importance in apartment planning. In the digital aspect, various digital systems had been introduce for convenience and safety via home network system. Furthermore, based on the various lifestyle, the storytelling design concept applied in the interior design, which will have to effect the future model house design planning. Nonetheless, the current emphasis on universal design is expected to be treated one of the important concept in Korean apartment planning. This study has a significant meaning on readdressing current trend in Korean housing and to provide informations for future directions on Korean apartment planning.
