한국의 조간대와 사구에 서식하는 톡토기중 혹무늬톡토기과(Neanuridae)와 마디톡토기과(Isotomidae)에 대한 분류학적 연구결과 1신종 Friesea leei n. sp.와 2 한국미기록종 Proisotoma minuta Folsom, 1937 및 Folsomides parvulus Stach, 1922이 관찰되었기에 이를 보고한다. 이밖에 Archisotoma sp. 도 채집되었다.

The present account briefly describes two crustose lichen species new to South Korea. Detailed taxonomic descriptions of Leiorreuma exaltatum and Trapelia coarctata, supported by distribution, ecology and illustrations, are provided. Both species were collected from warm-temperate, humid forests of Jeju Island.

The current study describes seven species that are new to the lichen mycota of South Korea. A taxonomic description of Arthonia excipienda, A. radiata, Arthothelium ruanum, Enterographa leucolyta, Fissurina elaiocarpa, Rinodina oleae, and Thelotrema porinaceum was given and supported by distribution, ecology, and illustrations. Each species was compared with a species showing close resemblance.

풀명나방과의 Patania brevipennis (Inoue, 1982); Herpetogramma tominagai Yamanaka, 2003; Aethaloessa calidalis (Guenée, 1854); Anania subfumalis (Munroe et Mutuura, 1971) 등 4종을 국내 처음으로 기록한다. Aethaloessa속은 국내에서 처음으로 기록된다. 여기 기록한 종의 외형과 생식기 사진을 제공한다. 필요한 경우, 해당 종의 아종 관계와 국내 발생 상황에 대해 논한다.

This study investigates the feasibility of retrofitting an existing building by connecting the existing building to a new building using connecting dampers. The new building is base-isolated and viscoelastic dampers are assigned as connecting dampers. Scaled models are tested under three different earthquake records using a shaking table. The existing building and the new building are 9 and 8 stories respectively. The existing building model shows more than 3% increase in damping ratio. The maximum dynamic responses and the root mean square responses of the existing building model to earthquakes are substantially reduced by at least 20% and 59% respectively. Further, numerical models are developed by conducting time-history analysis to predict the performance of the proposed seismic mitigation system. The predictions agree well with the test results. Numerical simulations are carried out to optimize the properties of connecting dampers and base isolators. It is demonstrated that more than 50% of the peak responses can be reduced by properly adjusting the properties of connecting dampers and base isolators.

Korean species of Atypophthalmus Brunetti, 1911 and Thrypticomyia Skuse, 1890 crane flies (Diptera: Limoniidae) were taxonomically revised. New findings of Achyrolimonia Alexander, 1965, Helius Lepeletier and Serville, 1828 (Latreille et al., 1828) and Limonia Meigen, 1803 were discussed. Genera Atypophthalmus and Thrypticomyia, species Helius(Helius) flavus(Walker, 1856) were newly recorded for the Korean Peninsula, and Achyrolimonia neonebulosa (Alexander, 1924) and Limonia juvenca Alexander, 1935 were new records for North Korea. Male terminalia of L. episema Alexander, 1924 were described with detailed photographs. Identification keys, re-descriptions and illustrations of both sexes from all species in Korea were presented.

The purpose of this the end of 20th century fashion about various phenomenon of distopia. This study have the analysis and consideration through the elements and peculiarity of distopia. This study give us the various figures of distopia st fashion as well as the common features of distopia. The study method refers to sundry records, thesis, fashion magazine, publication, the collection works and internet. It is as follows. 'Distopia' prefix to dis of Utopia and means unknown future. Distopia trends towards future negatively. The end of 20th century, it is well brought out various cultures. Movie, novel and pop culture have effect on end of the 20th fashion with a view of distopia. It is the fear and uncertainty of the future. The characters of distopia through the works are divided into formative characteristics and aesthetics meaning. The future fashion of distopia expression mixed and various cultural life, also the mixed of utopia and distopia fashion. Distopia stimulates the designers to the new expression and expose their new areas.

The Remora brachyptera and R. osteochir, belonging to the family Echeneidae were collected for the first time off Jeju Island, Korea, in July and August 2013 and off Ganggu-myeon, Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do in June 2014. Remora brachyptera is characterized by a sucker with 16 pairs of disc laminae and a dorsal fin that originates anterior of the origin of the anal fin. Remora osteochir is characterized by a sucker with 18 pairs of disc laminae and a sucking disc that extends beyond the posterior end of the pectoral fin. New Korean names proposed for the species are "Meo-ri-ppal-pan-i" for R. brachyptera and "Ppyeo-dae-ppal-pan-i" for R. osteochir.

Two new records of spionid polychaetes, Malacoceros reductus Blake & Kudenov, 1978 and Pseudopolydora cf. kempi (Southern, 1921), collected from Korean waters are reported here with detailed descriptions and illustrations. Malacoceros reductus, only reported in New South Wales, Australia, is distinguishable from its relatives by a prostomium with lateral horns, reduction of chaetiger 1, and the presence of the tridentate hooded hooks. Pseudopolydora cf. kempi, which has been known to have a wide geographical distribution, is characterized by a prostomium incised anteriorly, the presence of the occipital antenna, and two rows of black spots on the dorsal side. In this paper, photographs of scanning electron microscopy for characteristic features of each species are presented.

Four species of the genus Exochus belonging to the subfamily Metopiinae, family Ichneumonidae, are reported in South Korea for the first time. The subfamily Metopiinae was recorded by Förster in 1869 based on genus Metopius and more than 870 described species have been reported worldwide. Among the genera of Metopiinae, genus Exochus is the largest, which is cosmopolitan and comprises more than 290 described species worldwide (Choi et al., 2016; Yu et al., 2016). A taxonomic study of South Korean Exochus was initiated by Choi et al. (2014), who reported four species. Until now, 10 species have been described as new species and 25 species were recorded as new records of this genus from South Korea (Choi et al., 2014, 2016). In the present study, the following four species are reported in South Korea: Exochus latiareolus Tolkanitz, 2003, E. ornatus Momoi & Kusigemati, 1970, E. pictus Holmgren, 1858, and E. yasumatsui Momoi, Kusigemati & Nakanishi, 1968. In addition, we provide the diagnoses of these four species along with diagnostic photographs.
