  • Organic photovoltaic cells (OPV) have been extensively studied due to their unique properties such as flexibility, light-weight, easy processability, cost-effectiveness, and being environmental friendly. These advantages make them an attractive candidate for application in various novel fields and promising development with new features. Photovoltaic cell-integrated textiles have greatly attractive features as a power source for the smart textile solutions, and OPV is most ideal form factor due to advantage of flexibility. In this study, we develop a textile-based OPV through various experimental methods and we suggest the direction for the design of the photovoltaic textile. We used a textile electrode and tried to various layouts for textile-based OPV. Finally, we determined the contact area by using Hertzian theory for the calculation of power conversion efficiency (PCE). Based on the results of calculation, the short circuit current density, Isc, was $13.11mA/cm^2$ under AM 1.5condition and the PCE was around 2.5%.

  • The hereditary integral form of a quasi-linear viscoelastic law has been employed. Four new concepts have been employed: 1. a reduced relaxation function with a non-linear exponential function of time, 2. an inverse method to determine the scale factor of the elastic response, 3. an instant elastic recovery strain during unloading, and 4. the results of a constitutive model for cyclic tests may be a function of the Heavyside class. These concepts have been supported by agreement between measured and predicted responses of soft connective tissue to three types of multiple cyclic tests which include rest periods of no extension and alternations between different strain levels. Such agreement has not been attained in the previous studies. Chun and Hubbard (2001) is our companion experimental analysis paper.

  • The common form of pre-emphasis filter is $H(z)\;=\;1\;- az^{-1}$, where a typically lies between 0.9 and 1.0 in voiced signal. Also, this value reflects the degree of filter and equals R(1)/R(0) in Auto-correlation method. This paper proposes a new flattening algorithm to compensate the weaked high frequency components that occur by vocal cord characteristic. We used interval information of LSP to estimate formant frequency. After obtaining the value of slope and inverse slope using linear interpolation among formant frequency, flattening process is followed. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm flattened the weaked high frequency components effectively. That is, we could improve the flattened characteristics by using interval information of LSP as flattening factor at the process that compensates weaked high frequency components.

  • Whether it is crosstalk, harmonics, or in-band operation of wireless technologies, interference between a reference system and a host of offenders is virtually unavoidable. In past contributions, a benchmark has been established and considered for coexistence analysis with a number of technologies including FWA, UMTS, and WiMAX. However, the previously presented model does not take into account the mobility factor of the reference node in addition to a number of interdependent requirements regarding the link direction, channel state, data rate and system factors; hence limiting its applicability for the MBWA (IEEE 802.20) standard. Thus, over diverse modes, in this correspondence we analytically derived the greatest aggregate interference level tolerated for high-fidelity transmission tailored specifically for the MBWA standard. Our results, in the form of benchmark indicators, should be of particular interest to peers analyzing and researching RF coexistence scenarios with this new protocol.

  • In the late of 1990s, a super-high-rise residential started with the concept corresponding to a natural view, as the habitants' desire for spaciousness worked on an initiative factor. The appearance of the new style of residential form was encouraged and habitants' items desired were increased by the security of spaciousness for view. The purpose of this study is to understand spatial trans orientation through the plan type focusing the recent case study of super-high-rise and to interpretate spatial changes of residential space following it. For the case study, 20 apartments(or apartment complex) were selected from more than 25 storied super-high -rise located in Seoul and the metropolitan area. On the other hand, the objective facts about super-high-rise were cited in the results of the established studies and the selected cases were extracted from a catalogue and internet

  • Over the past several decades in the microelectronics industry, devices have gotten smaller, thinner, and lighter, without any accompanying degradation in quality, performance, and reliability. One permanent and deniable trend in packaging as well as wafer fabrication industry is system integration. The proliferating options for system integration, recently, are driving change across the overall semiconductor industry, requiring more investment in developing, ramping and supporting new die-, wafer- and board-level solution. The trend toward 3D system integration and miniaturization in a small form factor has accelerated even more with the introduction of smartphones and tablets. In this paper, the key issues and state of the art for system integration in the packaging process are introduced, especially, focusing on ease transition to next generation packaging technologies like through silicon via (TSV), 3D wafer-level fan-out (WLFO), and chip-on-chip interconnection. In addition, effective solutions like fine pitch copper pillar and MEMS packaing of both advanced and legacy products are described with several examples.

  • Today, the form of competition among companies quickly changes in new paradigm. In the past company activity was performed independently, but now dependently. With global age, that change is essential, the introduction of a system that integrates a series of courses is needed for the success of members. Nevertheless, those change are very slow in construction industry, that causes a lot of loss in project process. Construction industry produce structures with collaboration of other industries. There are difficulties that only one company make it, alone. In this trend, cooperation is essential. but the process of original brings a lot of loss From this perspective, this study will prove dependencies of construction industry. Draw out each factor from industrial cooperation, those analyze correlation with system dynamics. In conclusion, this study performs a basic research about 'Integrated Management System' of construction project.

  • GROWTH-REGULATING FACTORs (GRFs) are sequence-specific DNA-binding transcription factors that regulate various aspects of plant growth and development. GRF proteins interact with a transcription cofactor, GRF-INTERACTING FACTOR (GIF), to form a functional transcriptional complex. For its activities, the GRF-GIF duo requires the SWITCH2/SUCROSE NONFERMENTING2 chromatin remodeling complex. One of the most conspicuous roles of the duo is conferring the meristematic potential on the proliferative and formative cells during organogenesis. GRF expression is post-transcriptionally down-regulated by microRNA396 (miR396), thus constructing the GRF-GIF-miR396 module and fine-tuning the duo's action. Since the last comprehensive review articles were published over three years ago, many studies have added further insight into its action and elucidated new biological roles. The current review highlights recent advances in our understanding of how the GRF-GIF-miR396 module regulates plant growth and development. In addition, I revise the previous view on the evolutionary origin of the GRF gene family.

  • Fine particles of water-soluble pharmaceuticals were prepared using a new micronization method, Carbon Dioxide Assisted Nebulization in a Bubble Dryer(CAN-BD). The process utilized mixtures of CO$_2$ in aqueous solution at supercritical conditions to form an emulsion. The aerosols were dried with pre-heated nitrogen, and the drying chamber was operated at near atmospheric pressure. The dry particles were collected on membrane filter at the bottom of the drying chamber. Several processing parameters such as flow rate, temperature, pressure, solid concentration and processing scale were accessed using NaCl, human serum albumin, and granulocyte-colony stimulating factor as model pharmaceuticals. • Long term outcomes after liver transplantation are major determinants of quality of life and of the value of this heroic treatment. As short term outcomes are excellent, our community is turning to take a harder look at long term outcomes. The purpose of this paper is to review these outcomes, and highlight proposed treatments, as well as pressing topics needing to be studied. A systemic review of the English literature was carried in PubMed, covering all papers addressing long term outcomes in pediatric liver transplant from 2000-2013. Late outcomes after pediatric liver transplant affect the liver graft in the form of chronic liver dysfunction. The causes include rejection particularly humoral rejection, but also de novo autoimmune hepatitis, and recurrent disease. The metabolic syndrome is a major factor in long term cardiovascular complication risk. Secondary infections, kidney dysfunction and malignancy remain a reality of those patients. There is growing evidence of late cognitive and executive function delays affecting daily life productivity as well as likely adherence. Finally, despite a good health status, quality of life measures are comparable to those of children with chronic diseases. Long term outcomes are the new frontier in pediatric liver transplantation. Much is needed to improve graft survival, but also to avoid systemic morbidities from long term immunosuppression. Quality of life is a new inclusive measure that will require interventions and innovative approaches respectful not only on the patients but also of their social circle.
