A new roof edge detection method based on multi level scales of wavelet function is proposed in this paper roof edge and its direction are obtained in this new methods at one time. Besides. scale characteristics of detecting roof edge is analyzed. And a few new methods on fingerprint image pre-processing are described. A method segmenting foreground/background of fingerprint images is proposed, in which Prior estimation of direction field is not required any more. A segmentation method based on multi-scale roof edges is implemented. and the valid scale range of the method is defined. too. And the method is used to segment ridges and valleys in fingerprint images simultaneously The exact direction fields made up of the direction of each point in ridges can be obtained when detecting ridges exactly based on the roof edge detector, in comparison with the traditional coarse estimation of direction fields. Obviously. it will establish a solid foundation for the sequent fingerprint identification.

본 연구는 현존하는 기타리스트 중 가장 큰 영향을 주고 있는 Jim Hall의 작품 'Careful'과 'Waltz New'를 분석하고, 동시대의 연주자들과는 다른 그의 음악적인 성향과 방향성을 살펴본다. 단지 기타리스트에 머물지 않고 새로운 창조를 위해 끊임없이 새로운 시도를 했던 Jim Hall은 이 시대의 음악인들에게 음악의 본질이 무엇이며, 또한 기타리스트로서 선택 할 수 있는 다양한 새로운 방향을 제시하고 있다. 시대를 넘어 인정받고 있는 그의 음악은 현 음악인에게 시사 하는바가 매우 크다고 고려된다.

With regard to the new town developments which have supplied lots of houses in a short period of time in Korea this study aims to evaluation and finding out problems of the developments finally to suggest the direction. A new town's competitiveness model set in the previous paper takes a role of research frame to recognize the problems and to show the direction. The model explains that new town's competitiveness is composed of 4 factors; Self-sufficiency, Innovativenss, Identity and Sustainability. Problems of the developments are as follows; incongruity of spatial structure especially in the capital region, deficiency of self-sufficiency resulted from single-use development, restriction on mixed development by a number of regulations in capital region, low business value, grand scale of land compensation, house oriented planning guidance, unfair share of infrastructure fee, and physical structure depending mainly on fossil energy. Based on this recognition this study conclusively suggests corresponding direction such as role performance as a means of urban growth management, promotion of quality of life by accumulating social capital, introduction of socially sustainable management program for the new towns, discovery and creation of town's value, reexamination of self-sufficiency's meaning or target, selective deregulation of metropolitan development, institutional strategy for cost reduction, changeover from house index to urban function oriented index, and pursuit of low-carbon green town.

Because of the demographic and economic changes and the lifestyle diversification, the new housing types such as the Quasi-housing and urban small-size multi-unit housing are appeared in korea. The current housing use classifications are regulated in accordance with the housing divided ownership, horizontal and vertical size of housing, and the number of units. However, there is a limit to accommodate the new housing type. Therefore, this study proposed the direction of improvement of the housing use classifications through comparative analysis of foreign housing use classifications. Also, building regulations are applied according to the building use classifications. Therefore, the new housing types in building act are very urgent and important. So this study is derived the problems of the current housing use classifications and is proposed the improvement direction of it through the expert opinion survey.

Energy systems in increasing energy efficiency are actively performed at home and abroad. But Generally systems in the country are limited in a new building or sort of some buildings like a public and office building. So, this research suggest a new direction of energy system for existing buildings. It need to set a new bound for containing the green remodeling. For a direction, we analysis domestic energy system in perform and compared their bounds, standard and methods of energy evaluation. This study is necessary for an additional research for proposing detailed evaluation items and for a feasibility study research. And it contribute to develope internal energy systems and set a new system bound.

This paper deals with a newly developed direction indicator system of a car which displays left turn and U- turn signal differently, so that the following driver can identify the Intent of the next car ahead easily. In general, when a car want to change its direction, the driver move the blinker lever below the steering wheel up or down. However, as the left turn and U-turn signal are the same, there always be the risk of rear-end collision by misinterpreting U-turn signal as left turn signal. In this paper, a new direction indicator system which differentiates left turn and U-turn signal is developed. The left turn signal is the same as before, but when a driver want to U-turn, an additional U-turn signal blinks at the rear of the car. By identifying the direction signals clearly, the developed system is expected to alleviate the risk of car accident.

This paper validates new type electric power steering (EPS) system which is driven by a uni-direction rotational motor and two electromagnetic clutches. The assist motor of the new type EPS produces a torque for assisting the steering in only one direction and two electromagnetic clutches transmit the assist torque to the pinion gear in either left or right direction with respect to the steering rotation. In order to evaluate the static and dynamic characteristics of the new type EPS, the EPS has been modeled by using the well known customized software such as MSC.ADAMS and MSC.CarSim. The ADAMS software has been used to investigate the static characteristics of the proposed system. ADAMS, however, can not describe dynamics of a vehicle and perform the simulation under the various road conditions. Thus the dynamic characteristics of the vehicle including the EPS are analyzed very well by using the CarSim software. A sinusoidal steering input command is applied to the propose EPS system in order to evaluate the static characteristics, while the double lane changes are applied to the vehicle with the EPS in order to evaluate the dynamic performance. Through a series of simulations, we can conclude that the propose EPS shows the stable dynamic characteristics when the rotational direction is changed.

Objective : Today, a study about the meridian is at a standstill because there is no any fundamental study to verify an essence of meridian or to take advantage of meridain. It searched the direction of new meridain study by making out road-map about meridain study to overcome the standstill. Method : It has had a through grasp of the problem of meridian study through analysis of papers for degrees and academy journals of study in connection with meridian published till now. It has made out road-map of Meridian study under a principle establishing road-map because of these problems. Results : The major problems of former studies about meridain are as follows. One is not to have any cooperation with other medical fields. The other is not to have any practical study. It searched the direction of new meridian study by road-map detailed as well as overall to overcome the difficulties. Conclusions : The new direction of meridian study is to build ideal methodical frame and modern meridian model through studying of among school systems. It will interpret newly and modernize traditional meridian theory with being connected with science technology.

빅데이터가 새로운 가치창출과 문제해결의 핵심 엔진이 되는 데이터 중심 시대가 본격적으로 시작되고 있다. 본 연구는 빅데이터를 활용한 새로운 정보화 추진 방향과 대응 전략을 모색하는 것을 목표로 수행되었다. 이를 위해 사회 패러다임의 변화와 IT의 새로운 역할, 오픈 플랫폼화와 빅데이터, 빅데이터의 잠재력과 가능성 등을 연계해서 논의함으로써 빅데이터가 새로운 가치창출의 핵심 엔진임을 분석하였다. 그리고 이러한 분석 결과를 바탕으로 빅데이터 시대에 대응해서 국가 차원의 성공적인 미래를 만들어가기 위한 구체적인 전략 방향을 제시하였다. 구체적으로는 전략방향의 지향점, 초기 촉진책, 지속 가능 메커니즘이라는 3가지 전략적 질문에 대한 해답을 각각 도출하고자 하였다. 그 결과 빅데이터에 관한 국가 차원의 지향점으로서 '데이터 분석기반 창조 강국'을 국가 차원의 빅데이터 분석 활용의 촉진제로서 빅데이터를 활용한 스마트 정부 구현'을 지속 가능한 성공 메커니즘 창출의 대표적인 추진 전략으로서 '빅데이터 협력 거버넌스' 전략을 각각 식별하고 그 구체적인 방안을 제시하였다.
