Development of a New Address Management System and a New Address Information System Using Internet GIS (인터넷 GIS를 이용한 새주소 관리 및 안내시스템 개발)

  • Internet GIS represents the GIS technique that, by integrating Internet and GIS technique, provides geographic information services through Internet environments, Internet GIS suggests that one can search and analyze spatial data through WWW under the dynamic client/ server computing environments, In this paper we introduce the development of a new address management system using GIS technique and a new address information system using Internet GIS, The new address system, which is based on stress name and building number along the street, is developed to complement the current address system which is based on cadastral system, The new address management system is developed for the management of address change due to establishment of roads, construction and destruction of buildings etc using a GIS, The new address information system presents the Internet GIS system which provides people with geographic and address information. By implementing the new address information system it is possible to share GIS data, increase the efficiency of implementation of GIS system, and maximize its usablity.

  • The purpose of this study is development of the management and guide system for convenient use of new address guide system for systematic management and use of spatial information gained by management of numerical map of building and road to large basic new address, survey and input of main gate, setting up the road session, naming and input of road name, grant of given number of building, new address guide, life GIS and added information on Web-site in Jecheon-si city area In this study, development and establishment of new address management and guide system in local cities are designed by making full use of GIS function of client server base. A guide system is designed the same database as management system, and it is transformed into Web-GIS environment and developed in order to add the various functions of life GIS as wet as new address guide. In the result, the effectiveness of new address system and guide of Jecheon-si city could be highly increased owing to not only citizens'easy access but also easy availability of various informations necessary in life by developed its system.

  • In this paper, we suggest a new driving waveform for stable address discharge in AC PDP without the reduction of contrast ratio. To analyze the influence of cross-talk between discharge and non-discharge cells and verify that proposed waveform shows a stable address discharge, we measured the address discharge delay time. The proposed waveform shows the reduction of the cross-talk and concurrently the improvement of address voltage margin compared with those of selective reset waveform having one reset period in 1TV-Field..

  • A new AC-PDP driving method was proposed to reduce the address period. The overlapped scan method can reduce the address period. However, this method has a narrow address voltage margin compared with conventional scan method in this paper, Slope overlapped scan method is presented. The proposed new overlapped scan method allows wider address voltage margin than conventional overlapped scan method.

  • In this paper, a new gray scale expression method that divides the scan lines into multiple blocks is suggested. The proposed method can drive 16 sub-fields per 1 TV field in the panel with XGA ($1366{\times}768$) resolution. The on and off states of even subfields depend on the condition of odd subfields. The write address mode is used in the odd subfields, while the erase address mode is used in the even subfields. Because the ramp reset pulse is applied every 2 sub-fields, both the contrast ratio and the dynamic voltage margin are sufficiently obtained in comparison with previous AWD (Address While Display) methods. In realizing 16 subfields, shortening the scan time in the erase address period was important. The X bias voltage in the erase address period affected the minimum address voltage but did not the delay time of the address discharge. The delay time of the address discharge was affected by the address voltage and the time interval between the last sustain discharge and the scanning time. We also evaluated the dynamic false contour. New method shows an improved image quality in horizontal moving, but discontinuous lines were observed at the boundaries of each block in vertical moving

  • Address and location information is gaining importance as a channel between business entities and customers. However, as the new address scheme, which is based on street name and building number, is deployed, various problems occurred in the areas of postal service, logistics and management of customer information. And therefore it is necessary to make plans for integration and application of address information and location information. In this study, we clearly identify the problems when the governments and companies manage the address and location information under the circumstances of new address system. And we suggest improvement plans from the viewpoint of code scheme and database linkage.

  • A new driving method is proposed to reduce the address period. The scan time of new driving method overlaps with the next scan time during the discharge lag time. Thus, without reducing the address pulse width and the scan pulse width, the new addressing method can reduce the address period. The results show that the scan time of about 100ns ${\sim}$ 300ns can be overlapped without the misfiring,.

  • Recently, Plasma Display Panel(PDP) has been in the spotlight as one of the next generation flat-panel-display device. However, it has several drawbacks like the low contrast ratio and the low luminance. In this study, a new address waveform is suggested to improve the priming effect and contrast ratio at the address period in the Address Display period Separated(ADS) method. We modified waveform, instead of a conventional waveform, to an address period, for operating on the Plasma Display Panels, which used the conventional gas [He-Ne-Xe〕. When the ramp pulse is added to the address period at the sustain electrode, it is improved on the priming effect and contrast ratio.

  • To improve the luminance in ac PDP, a new single sustain waveform with auxiliary address pulse is proposed. The new single sustain waveform was examined with 2 dimensional fluid codes and related experiments were performed with 42-inch XGA PDP module. At the same sustain level (= 180 V), the new waveform showed 3.6 times higher IR emission than the general waveform without auxiliary address pulse.
