Parkinson's disease is a common neurodegenerative disorder charaterized by distal resting tremor, rigidity, and bradykinesia, and asymmetric onset. The patient was 38-year-old man who had Parkinson's disease diagnosed and complained resting and postural tremor, rigidity, bradykinesia and so on. He was treated by oriental medicine with acupuncture, herb medication, physical therapy, kinesitherapy and Korean psychotherapy; Eejeong-byunki, Jiun-goron. After treatment the symptoms of Parkinson' disease was reduced, but the patient was deconditioned through several seizures. This result suggested that the oriental medical therapy is recommanded for Parkinson's disease. But, the relation of Parkinson's disease and seizure should be studied.

Objectives : This study was designed to research the effect of oriental treatments for Hwabyung with Blepharoptosis. Methods : A 51 year-old female patient has been suffered by Hwabyung for 5 months and by Blepharoptosis for 2 weeks. We treated the patient with Herbal medication, oriental psychotherapy and acupuncture. Results : As a result of oriental treatments, Blepharoptosis was disappeared, and the symptoms of Hwabyung was improved gradually. Conclusions : These result suggest that oriental treatments have an effect on Hwabyung with Blepharoptosis.

Objectives : This study was designed to report the effect of Korean traditional treatment and progressive muscle relaxation for insomnia. Methods : We treated two patients scored more than 15 point at insomnia severity index by korean traditional treatment and progressive muscle relaxation. Results : After treatment, sleep duration and sleep quality was improved. Insomnia Severity Index, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index score were decreased. Conclusions : We may conclude that korean traditional treatment and progressive muscle relaxation is effective in patients with insomnia.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Korean medicine treatment for pregnant women with panic disorder. Methods: We treated pregnant women with panic disorder with Acupuncture, Herb extract granules, and Korean medicine psychotherapy. PDSS, BAI, and BDI were evaluated every two months. Results: PDSS was reduced from 24 points to 8 points. BAI was reduced from 35 points to 10 points. BDI was reduced from 22 points to 8 points. Mental and body symptoms were also reduced. Both mother and the baby were healthy after delivery. No specificities or adverse effects were reported during the entire treatment. Conclusions: Korean medicine treatment may be effective and safe to control symptoms of pregnant woman with panic disorder.

Delirium Tremens is the most terrible and dramatic syndrome in Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome. Delirium Tremens is one of acute psychiatric symptoms and happens that a chronic drinker is suddenly off drinking for any reasons. In Oriental medicine, Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome is comprised in a category of Jusang(酒傷). In this case, we described a 53-year old man who diagnosed as Delirium tremens. He suffered mental derangement and headache, and his condition was improved through oriental medical treatment.

Dissociative amnesia is caused by psychologic disagreement except organic brain disorder, intoxication, severe fatigue and occurred by not recalling saved information. Recently we experienced a 19 year-old woman who had a sudden onset of dissociative amnesia and whose condition was improved through Oriental medical treatment. This case study illustrates what the manifestations of dissociative amnesia is and how dissociative amnesia symptomatology emerged.

Schizophrenia is a frequent psychotic disorder. Recently many studies raised biochemical theory as a cause of schizophrenia. But in this case, we used psychosocial treatment and oriental medical treatment, without antipsychotic drugs for 4 months, obtained good results. Practicing psychosocial treatment, we were able to remove anxiety and fear of the patient. In addition positive symptoms, for example auditory hallucination and delusion, were improved. Schizophrenia conforms to JEONKWANG(癲狂) in oriental medicine. We concluded this case to JEONJUNG(癲證) due to QIULDAMHWA(氣鬱痰火). So we used herbal medication and acupuncture according to oriental medical theory and these efforts helped the care of disease.

Alcoholic Korsakoff's psychosis is a clonic amnestic syndrome caused by alcohol abuse. It is characteristic of hypomnesis, disorientation and confabulation. We experienced a 53 year-old man who had a alcoholic korsakoff's syndrome, DM and general weakness and whose condition was improved through Oriental medical treatment. This case study illustrates what the manifestation of alcoholic korsakoff's syndrome is and how alcoholic korsakoff's syndrome improved.

Objectives : We investigated if korean traditional treatment and psychotherapy is effective in patients with depression and menopausal symptoms. Methods : We treated two patients with typical korean traditional medical treatment( Acupuncture, Giungoroen therapy(至言高論療法), Moxibustion ) and progressive muscle relaxation. Results : After treatment, the chief complaint and accompanying symptoms were subsided and improved. BDI score and Kupperman's index were decreased. Conclusions : We may conclude that korean traditional treatment and psychotherapy is effective in patients with depression and menopausal symptoms.

This study researches the effect of oriental psychotherapy treatments for various somatization symptoms by marital conflict. We treat Acupuncture, Herb-medication and oriental psychotherapy, and follow up the result for 3 times. Through an understanding of marital, The symptoms of the patient decreased. Oriental psychotherapy treatments is effective for Somatoform Disorders by Marital Conflict.
