A Study for Sales and Demand Forecasting Model Using Wavelet Neural Networks (웨이블렛 신경회로망을 이용한 상품 수요 예측 모형에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we develop a fashion products demand forecasting algorithm using ARIMA model and Wavelet Neural Networks model. To show effectiveness of the proposed method, we analyzed characteristics of time-series data collected in "H" company during 2008-2012 and then performed the proposed method through various analyses. As noted in experimental results, the performance of three types model such as ARIMA, Wavelet Neural Networks and ARIMA + Wavelet Neural Networks show 5.179%, 4.553%, and 4.448.% with respect to MAPE(Mean Absolute Percentage Error), respectively. Thus, it is noted that the proposed method can be used to predict fashion products demand for efficient of operation.

  • In this paper, we discuss model identification of nonlinear data using GAs-based Fuzzy Polynomial Neural Networks(GAs-FPNN). Fuzzy Polynomial Neural Networks(FPNN) is proposed model based Group Method Data Handling(GMDH) and Neural Networks(NNs). Each node of FPNN is expressed Fuzzy Polynomial Neuron(FPN). Network structure of nonlinear data is created using Genetic Algorithms(GAs) of optimal search method. Accordingly, GAs-FPNN have more inflexible than the existing models (in)from structure selecting. The proposed model select and identify its for optimal search of Genetic Algorithms that are no. of input variables, input variable numbers and consequence structures. The GAs-FPNN model is select tuning to input variable number, number of input variable and the last part structure through optimal search of Genetic Algorithms. It is shown that nonlinear data model design using Genetic Algorithms based FPNN is more usefulness and effectiveness than the existing models.

  • For the control of robotic manipulators with unknown or uncertain dynamics, leaming control schemes are very effective control schemes for repeated trajectory following tasks. In this class of controllers, control techniques using neural networks have been gaining much attention in recent years.. In this note, we discuss the leaming control techniques using neural networks and propose a new model-based control scheme using multilayered neural networks. Three-layerd neural network is used as a feedback controller to compensate the mismatched terms between model plant and real plant. Computer simulations are performed to show the applicability and the limitation of the proposed controller.

  • The closed-loop system modeling of an Active/semiactive suspension system has been accomplished through an artificial neural Networks. The 7DOF full model as the system equation of motion has been derived and the output feedback linear quadratic regulator has been designed for the control purpose. For the neural networks training set of a sample data has been obtained through the computer simulation. A 7DOF full model with LQR controller simulated under the several road conditions such as sinusoidal bumps and the rectangular bumps. A general multilayer perceptron neural network is used for the dynamic modeling and the target outputs are feedback to the input layer. The Backpropagation method is used as the training algorithm. The modeling of system and the model validation have been shown through computer simulations.

  • In this paper, an optimal identification method using fuzzy-neural networks is proposed for modeling of nonlinear complex systems. The proposed fuzzy-neural modeling implements system structure and parameter identification using the intelligent schemes together with optimization theory, linguistic fuzzy implication rules, and neural networks(NNs) from input and output data of processes. Inference type for this fuzzy-neural modeling is presented as simplified inference. To obtain optimal model, the learning rates and momentum coefficients of fuzz-neural networks(FNNs) and parameters of membership function are tuned using genetic algorithm(GAs). For the purpose of its application to nonlinear processes, data for route choice of traffic problems and those for activated sludge process of sewage treatment system are used for the purpose of evaluating the performance of the proposed fuzzy-neural network modeling. The show that the proposed method can produce the intelligence model w th higher accuracy than other works achieved previously.

  • This article describes a novel model-based compensating neural network (NN) model developed to be used in our active binocular head controller, which addresses both the kinematics and dynamics aspects in trying to precisely track a moving object of interest to keep it in view. The compensating NN model is constructed using two classes of self-tuning neural models: namely Neural Gas (NG) algorithm and SoftMax function networks. The resultant servo controller is shown to be able to handle the tracking problem with a minimum knowledge of the dynamic aspects of the system.

  • Recently, with the development of deep learning technology, research on pedestrian attribute recognition technology using deep neural networks has been actively conducted. Existing pedestrian attribute recognition techniques can be obtained in such a way as global-based, regional-area-based, visual attention-based, sequential prediction-based, and newly designed loss function-based, depending on how pedestrian attributes are detected. It is known that the performance of these pedestrian attribute recognition technologies varies greatly depending on the type of backbone network that constitutes the deep neural networks model. Therefore, in this paper, several backbone networks are applied to the baseline pedestrian attribute recognition model and the performance changes of the model are analyzed. In this paper, the analysis is conducted using Resnet34, Resnet50, Resnet101, Swin-tiny, and Swinv2-tiny, which are representative backbone networks used in the fields of image classification, object detection, etc. Furthermore, this paper analyzes the change in time complexity when inferencing each backbone network using a CPU and a GPU.

사례기반추론을 이용한 다이렉트 마케팅의 고객반응예측모형의 통합

  • In this study, we propose a integrated model of logistic regression, artificial neural networks, support vector machines(SVM), with case-based reasoning(CBR). To predict respondents in the direct marketing is the binary classification problem as like bankruptcy prediction, IDS, churn management and so on. To solve the binary problems, we employed logistic regression, artificial neural networks, SVM. and CBR. CBR is a problem-solving technique and shows significant promise for improving the effectiveness of complex and unstructured decision making, and we can obtain excellent results through CBR in this study. Experimental results show that the classification accuracy of integration model using CBR is superior to logistic regression, artificial neural networks and SVM. When we apply the customer response model to predict respondents in the direct marketing, we have to consider from the view point of profit/cost about the misclassification.

  • In this paper, we propose Fuzzy Polynomial Neural Networks(FPNN) based on Polynomial Neural Networks(PNN) and Fuzzy Neural Networks(FNN) for model identification of complex and nonlinear systems. The proposed FPNN is generated from the mutually combined structure of both FNN and PNN. The one and the other are considered as the premise part and consequence part of FPNN structure respectively. As the consequence part of FPNN, PNN is based on Group Method of Data Handling(GMDH) method and its structure is similar to Neural Networks. But the structure of PNN is not fixed like in conventional Neural Networks and self-organizing networks that can be generated. FPNN is available effectively for multi-input variables and high-order polynomial according to the combination of FNN with PNN. Accordingly it is possible to consider the nonlinearity characteristics of process and to get better output performance with superb predictive ability. As the premise part of FPNN, FNN uses both the simplified fuzzy inference as fuzzy inference method and error back-propagation algorithm as learning rule. The parameters such as parameters of membership functions, learning rates and momentum coefficients are adjusted using genetic algorithms. And we use two kinds of FNN structure according to the division method of fuzzy space of input variables. One is basic FNN structure and uses fuzzy input space divided by each separated input variable, the other is modified FNN structure and uses fuzzy input space divided by mutually combined input variables. In order to evaluate the performance of proposed models, we use the nonlinear function and traffic route choice process. The results show that the proposed FPNN can produce the model with higher accuracy and more robustness than any other method presented previously. And also performance index related to the approximation and prediction capabilities of model is evaluated and discussed.

  • In a bankruptcy prediction model, the accuracy is one of crucial performance measures due to its significant economic impacts. Ensemble is one of widely used methods for improving the performance of classification and prediction models. Two popular ensemble methods, Bagging and Boosting, have been applied with great success to various machine learning problems using mostly decision trees as base classifiers. In this paper, we analyze the performance of boosted neural networks for improving the performance of traditional neural networks on bankruptcy prediction tasks. Experimental results on Korean firms indicated that the boosted neural networks showed the improved performance over traditional neural networks.
