Implementation of Low-cost Autonomous Car for Lane Recognition and Keeping based on Deep Neural Network model

  • CNN (Convolutional Neural Network), a type of deep learning algorithm, is a type of artificial neural network used to analyze visual images. In deep learning, it is classified as a deep neural network and is most commonly used for visual image analysis. Accordingly, an AI autonomous driving model was constructed through real-time image processing, and a crosswalk image of a road was used as an obstacle. In this paper, we proposed a low-cost model that can actually implement autonomous driving based on the CNN model. The most well-known deep neural network technique for autonomous driving is investigated and an end-to-end model is applied. In particular, it was shown that training and self-driving on a simulated road is possible through a practical approach to realizing lane detection and keeping.

  • A neural model predictive control strategy combining a neural network for plant identification and a nonlinear programming algorithm for solving nonlinear control problems is proposed. A constrained nonlinear optimization approach using successive quadratic programming combined with neural identification network is used to generate the optimum control law for complex continuous chemical reactor systems that have inherent nonlinear dynamics.   • This paper presents a neural net type process model for enhancing learning compensation function in hot strip finishing rolling mill. Adequate input and output variables of process model are chosen, the proposed model was designed as single layer neural net. Equivalent carbon content, strip thickness and rolling speed are suggested as input variables, and looper's manipulation variable is proposed as output variable. According to simulation result using process data to show the validity of the proposed process model, neural net type process model's outputs give almost similar data to process output under same input conditions.

Application of a Hybrid System of Probabilistic Neural Networks and Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm for Prediction of Brand Share in the Market

  • Manufacturers and retailers are interested in how prices, promotions, discounts and other marketing variables can influence the sales and shares of the products that they produce or sell. Therefore, many models have been developed to predict the brand share. Since the customer choice models are usually used to predict the market share, here we use hybrid model of Probabilistic Neural Network and Artificial Bee colony Algorithm (PNN-ABC) that we have introduced to model consumer choice to predict brand share. The evaluation process is carried out using the same data set that we have used for modeling individual consumer choices in a retail coffee market. Then, to show good performance of this model we compare it with Artificial Neural Network with one hidden layer, Artificial Neural Network with two hidden layer, Artificial Neural Network trained with genetic algorithms (ANN-GA), and Probabilistic Neural Network. The evaluated results show that the offered model is outperforms better than other previous models, so it can be use as an effective tool for modeling consumer choice and predicting market share.

심층 신경망모형을 사용한 미세먼지 PM10의 예측 (Prediction of fine dust PM10 using a deep neural network model)

  • 본 연구에서는 미세먼지 $PM_{10}$의 4가지 분류 등급인 '좋음, 보통, 나쁨, 매우 나쁨' 그리고 2가지 분류 등급인 '좋음 혹은 보통, 나쁨 혹은 매우 나쁨'을 예측하기 위해서 심층 신경망모형을 사용하였다. 2010년부터 2015년까지 국내 6개 대도시 지역에서 관측한 일별 미세먼지 데이터에 대하여 기존 분류기법인 신경망모형, 다항 로지스틱 회귀모형, Support Vector Machine, Random Forest을 적용했을 때에 비해서 심층 신경망모형의 정확도는 더 높아졌다.

Comparative Study on Surrogate Modeling Methods for Rapid Electromagnetic Forming Analysis

  • Electromagnetic forming is a type of high-speed forming process to deform a workpiece through a Lorentz force. As the high strain rate in an electromagnetic-forming simulation causes infeasibility in determining constitutive parameters, we employed inverse parameter estimation in the previous study. However, the inverse parameter estimation process required us to spend considerable time, which leads to an increase in computational cost. To overcome the computational obstacle, in this research, we applied two types of surrogate modeling methods and compared them to each other to evaluate which model is best for the electromagnetic-forming simulation. We exploited an artificial neural network and we reduced-order modeling methods. During the construction of a reduced-order model, we extracted orthogonal bases with proper orthogonal decomposition and predicted basis coefficients by utilizing an artificial neural network. After the construction of the surrogate models, we verified the artificial neural network and reduced-order models through training and testing samples. As a result, we determined the artificial neural network model is slightly more accurate than the reduced-order model. However, the construction of the artificial neural network model requires a considerably larger amount of time than that of the reduced-order model. Thus, a reduced order modeling method is more efficient than an artificial neural network for estimating the electromagnetic forming and for the rapid approximation of structural simulations which needs repetitive runs.

  • This article describes a novel model-based compensating neural network (NN) model developed to be used in our active binocular head controller, which addresses both the kinematics and dynamics aspects in trying to precisely track a moving object of interest to keep it in view. The compensating NN model is constructed using two classes of self-tuning neural models: namely Neural Gas (NG) algorithm and SoftMax function networks. The resultant servo controller is shown to be able to handle the tracking problem with a minimum knowledge of the dynamic aspects of the system.

신경회로망을 이용한 Web기반 홍수유출 예측시스템 (Web-Based Forecasting System for Flood Runoff with Neural Network)

  • 하천에서의 홍수유출 예측은 하천의 치수적인 측면에서도 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 신경회로망 모형을 이용해서 개발된 홍수유출 예측 시스템의 적용성을 검토하였다. 입력층에는 강우자료와 홍수량 자료를 출력층에는 홍수유출량이 예측되도록 구성하였다. 홍수유출 예측 시스템 구성시 예측모형 선정을 위해 신경회로망 모형과 상태공간 모형을 이용하여 홍수시 실시간 하천유출량 예측을 수행하였다. 두 모형의 예측결과 비교시 신경회로망 모형이 실시간 홍수량 예측에 적합한 모형으로 선정되었다. 신경회로망 모형은 Web 상에서 사용이 가능하게 변환하여 홍수유출 예측시스템의 기본모형으로 개발하였다.

  • Fuzzy logic, neural network, fuzzy-neural network play an important as the key technology of linguistic modeling for intelligent control and decision making in complex systems. The fuzzy -neural network (FNN) learning represents one of the most effective algorithms to build such linguistic models. This paper proposes learning approach of fuzzy-neural network by immune algorithm. The proposed learning model is presented in an immune based fuzzy-neural network (FNN) form which can handle linguistic knowledge by immune algorithm. The learning algorithm of an immune based FNN is composed of two phases. The first phase used to find the initial membership functions of the fuzzy neural network model. In the second phase, a new immune algorithm based optimization is proposed for tuning of membership functions and structure of the proposed model.

  • The neural networks are a famous model to learn the nonlinear function or nonlinear system. The main point of neural network is that the difference actual output from desired output is used to update weights. Usually, the gradient descent method is used for the learning process. On training process, if learning rate is too large, neural networks hardly guarantee convergence of neural networks. On the other hand, if learning rate is too small, the training spends much time. Therefore, one major problem in use of neural networks are to decrease the teaming time while neural networks are guaranteed convergence. In this paper, we suggest the model of fuzzy logic to neural networks to calibrate learning rate. This method is to tune learning rate dynamically according to error and demonstrates the optimization of training.
