Ethernet is one of the most successful LAN technologies. Now gigabit ethernet is available in real network and some network interface cards(NIC) supports TCP segment offloading (TSO), IP checksum offloading(ICO), Jumbo frame and interrupt moderation. If we use this features appropriately, we obtain high throughput with low CPU utilization. This paper represents the network performance by varying above features.

최근에 전기자동차의 상용화가 머지않은 상황에서 운전자를 위한 다양한 전자적 기능들이 개발되어지고 있다. 특히, 뇌파(EEG)를 통하여 운전자의 상태를 모니터링하면서 졸음방지나 건강상태를 실시간으로 점검하는 기능들이 있다. 자동차 운전자의 뇌파를 의료기관 서버에 전송하여 관련 기능들을 제공할 수 있는데 이때 자동차간 또는 자동차와 노변장치간의 원활한 통신기능이 필수적이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 도심의 교차로환경에서 원활한 EEG 통신기능을 제공하는 라우팅 프로토콜을 제시하기 위해 AODV, DSR, GRP, OLSR, TORA와 같은 5가지의 라우팅 프로토콜로 운영되는 무선통신망을 각각 설계하고 이를 OPnet 네트워크 시뮬레이션을 통하여 성능을 평가하고 결과를 제시하고자 한다.

Video transmission effectiveness in the Ad Hoc network is becoming important recently, if different routing protocols are applied. Some researchers conclude that the reactive protocols are better for file transfer protocol (FTP) and constant bit rate (CBR) or hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) transmission in an Ad Hoc wireless network but the performance report of video transmission is not much. This study adopts Qualnet (Network Simulator) as a simulation tool for environmental designing and performance testing, and employs an experimental design with eight groups. Our experiment shows that: (1) The performance of AODV (reactive) protocol is better than DSDV, ZRP and DSR when the transmission load has only one video stream; (2) Proactive (DSDV) and Hybrid protocols (ZRP) are better for a smaller Ad Hoc network when it transmits a video stream with some applications (VoIP, FTP and CBR). We conclude that packet loss rate is sensitive to the quality of video transmission and it has negative relationship with Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) value. In addition, our experiment also shows that PSNR is a simple Metric for the performance evaluation of video transmission.

삶의 질을 높이기 위하여 무선 애드혹망 기술은 컴퓨터과학과 건강관리 응용산업에서 가장 중요한 분야의 하나로 알려져 있다. 유비쿼터스 건강시스템은 또한 실시간으로 비상상태의 경고기능을 제공해준다. 이러한 기능은 봉사자들의 수를 줄여줄 뿐 아니라 만성적인 병자와 노인들을 살아갈 수 있도록 돕는다. 시스템의 응용을 위하여 효과적이며 적절한 네트워크 시스템은 필수적이다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 환자 노드가 지속적으로 뇌파를 측정하여 병원에 위치한 서버로 전송하는 다양한 네트워크 환경을 제안한다. 그리고, 이동노드들의 다양한 이동성과 토폴로지로 구성된 네트워크 시스템들을 옵넷 시뮬레이터로 시뮬레이션을 하고 평가할 것이다.

For analyzing big data, the social network is increasingly being utilized through relational data, which means the connection characteristics between entities such as people and objects. When the relational data does not exist directly, a social network can be configured by calculating relational data such as attribute similarity from attribute data of entities and using it as links. In this paper, the composition method of the social network using the attribute similarity between entities as a connection relationship, and the clustering method using subgroups for the configured social network are suggested, and the clustering effectiveness of the clustering results is evaluated. The analysis results can vary depending on the type and characteristics of the data to be analyzed, the type of attribute similarity selected, and the criterion value. In addition, the clustering effectiveness may not be consistent depending on the its evaluation method. Therefore, selections and experiments are necessary for better analysis results. Since the analysis results may be different depending on the type and characteristics of the analysis target, options for clustering, etc., there is a limitation. In addition, for performance evaluation of clustering, a study is needed to compare the method of this paper with the conventional method such as k-means.

The evaluation test for the operation of rotary type surface mounters which consist of the reel axis, the index table and the X-Y table, has been performed by comparing the new method with the old one in only fields. Because the problem seeking for the optimal operation of rotary type surface mounters, is NP complete, it is almost impossible to get the optimal solutions of large problems. This paper deals with a dynamic network modeling, which can reduce the effort, the cost, and the time used for the performance test of rotary type surface mounters.

XML and CORBA have vast potential to improve software interoperability and to facilitate data exchange across applications and people from various disciplines and vendors. This Paper describes a framework for the integration and validity evaluation of injection mold design problems in a network-oriented design environment, based on In and CORBA. An overview of the framework is provided and an application to a design phase of injection mold is illustrated. The example illustrates how design validities are notified and design directions are provided to the designer during design process.

We propose a new control architecture which consists of a PI controller and a neural network(NN) controller connected together in parallel. This architecture is well adapted to a wide range of uncertainties and variations of systems. The NN controller is learned through weights of the emulator which identify the dynamic chracteristics of the systems. A performance evaluation level of two NN's decides automatically which controller of the two controllers will be used mainly. The PI controller operates mainly during learning phase of the NN controller whereas a good performance is obtained from the NN controller only, when the NN controller is learned sufficiently.

Conventional simulations for mobile ad hoc network so far are based on the "random walk" of the mobile nodes, which are not constrained by their surrounding spatial environments. In this paper, we present a geography-based mobility model, which reflects more realistic movements of the real world. This mobility model is used for performance evaluation of MANET routing protocols.protocols.

This research suggests a criterion, security quality, which is a unifying principle in computer network security that has the lack of a unifying principle. The security quality includes secrecy, integrity, recording, and availability among the factors that represent the security evaluation of the computer system. So, we defined the security quality, which is a basis for determining the security level, as the grand total of evaluation about each factor.
