  • With changing software industry structure, the emerging concept called Software Ecosystems (SECO) has various challenges that software engineers have to overcome. In market-driven software product development, they should have the capability to offer high value products to their own business and their customers in order to being competitive. Each stakeholder's perspectives and interests should be reconciled in terms of requirements so that engineers can offer high value products through requirements selection. Existing works have just mentioned the need of requirements negotiation between stakeholders without proposing detailed guidelines or practice. In this work, a systematic Requirements Negotiation process is proposed to resolve conflicts of interests of stakeholders in SECO. The interests of stakeholders are analyzed based on goal-based requirements engineering. The rationale of requirements conflict is structured for management. A stepwise requirements negotiation process aims at resolving requirements conflict by applying game theory concepts based on self-interested behaviors of stakeholders.

  • Fisheries Agreements among Korea, China, and Japan, for the effective management of fisheries resources and protection of fisheries disputes, have been processed in a manner to conclude interim arrangements those are effective prior to the final demarcation of the maritime delimitation which often requires much time to settle among the relevant states, Based on this understanding, Korea, China, and Japan, had proceeded their mutual fisheries agreement ; and, two fisheries agreements, between Korea-Japan and China-Japan, have already entered into force on 22 January 1999 and on 1 June 2000, respectively. Lastly fisheries negotiation between Korea and China has been concluded in order to make it effective on 30 June 2001. As Korean fisheries have already experienced the impacts after the entry into force of Korea-Japan Fisheries Agreement, it is inevitable that the likewise will also be true for the Korea-china Fisheries Agreement. The results of fisheries negotiation should minimize the loss by ensuring Korean flagged vessels' fishing rights to the maximum level in the counterpart's waters, and to maximize our counterpart's loss by restricting its vessels' fishing rights to the minimum level in our waters. However, such goals are almost unreachable in an intergovernmental negotiation. On this ground, regardless of the results, the negotiation is highly criticized from all the interested realms of the society. First, this study reviews the negotiation process ana subject matters of the fisheries agreement, and then evaluates the disputed items issued by academic, political, and industry areas in an international law and fisheries perspective. After the entry into farce of fisheries agreement, various activities should be accommodated as future tasks, such as the adjustments of the domestic fisheries structure, the reorganization of the resource management based fisheries structure, the construction of EEz large surveillance system, and the construction of the multilateral fisheries cooperation system Through an earlier implementation of those tasks, the Korean fisheries will be better prepared in minimizing the predicted impacts once the Korea-China Fisheries Agreement becomes effective.

  • In an effect to composite an optimal supply chain, this study has introduced an agent-based negotiation as a method to assign a lot of orders to a large number of participants. As a resources allocation mechanism to form a strategic cooperation based on information sharing between supply chain members(buyers, manufacturers, suppliers), this agent negotiation provides coordination functions allowing all participants to make a profit and accomplishing Pareto optimum solution from the viewpoint of a whole supply chain. A SET model-based scheduling takes into consideration both earliness production cost and tardiness production cost, along with a competitive relationship between multiple participants. This study has tried to prove that the result of an agent-based negotiation is a Pareto optimal solution under the dynamic supply chain environment, establishing the mathematical formulation for a performance test, and making a comparison with the heuristic Branch & Bound method.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand and investigate the process of making negotiation strategy to do leisure activity with overcoming leisure constraints which highschool students participating in their club activity meet. For this study, students who have at least one-year career for their club activity -more than two times a week and two hours at a time -were selected. Survey through in-depth interview, non-participating observation and field note were conducted. The results are as follow. Firstly, the fascination for club activity was the important factor for overcoming leisure constraints. Secondly, leisure constraints never let students stop doing their activity. Thirdly, the subjects of this study practiced negotiation strategies and came to have self-achievement and self-esteem, improving their relationships effectively. Finally, it was found out that they were creating their own club culture with continuous leisure constraints negotiation. The results of this study present the case and the method of continuous students' participation in their leisure and are able to help them to build up their positive leisure experiences.

  • In October 2005, the Russian government started an investigation if safeguard measures against the importation of Korean sodium cyanide products could be taken. With Russia being a non-WTO member country, the Korean side found themselves in different situation from previous negotiation cases with developed or WTO member countries. Although several elements of trade negotiation theories such as goal setting, bargaining power, and relationship could apply, new constraints of limited information access and uncertainty of administrative procedures should be overcome. Combination of the governmental negotiation, assistance of the Russian consumer group, and the application of related laws led the Russian authority to dismiss the case. I suggest that there be some built-in channels for gathering information of non-WTO member countries.

  • For Internet of Things, it is more preferred to have immediate access to environment information from sensor nodes (SNs) rather than from gateway nodes (GWNs). To fulfill the goal, mutual authentication scheme between user and SNs with session key (SK) negotiation is more suitable. However, this is a challenging task due to the constrained power, computation, communication and storage resources of SNs. Though lots of authentication schemes with SK negotiation have been designed to deal with it, they are still insufficiently secure and/or efficient, and some even have serious vulnerabilities. Therefore, we design an efficient secure authentication scheme with session key negotiation (eSAS2KN) for wireless sensor networks (WSNs) utilizing fuzzy extractor technique, hash function and bitwise exclusive-or lightweight operations. In the eSAS2KN, user and SNs are mutually authenticated with anonymity, and an SK is negotiated for their direct and instant communications subsequently. To prove the security of eSAS2KN, we give detailed informal security analysis, carry out logical verification by applying BAN logic, present formal security proof by employing Real-Or-Random (ROR) model, and implement formal security verification by using AVISPA tool. Finally, computation and communication costs comparison show the eSAS2kN is more efficient and secure for practical application.

  • Task assignments of multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are examined. The phrase "task assignment" comprises the decision making procedures of a UAV group. In this study, an on-line decentralized task assignment algorithm is proposed for an autonomous UAV group. The proposed method is divided into two stages: an order optimization stage and a communications and negotiation stage. A genetic algorithm and negotiation strategy based on one-to-one communication is adopted for each stage. Through the proposed algorithm, decentralized task assignments can be applied to dynamic environments in which sensing range and communication are limited. The performance of the proposed algorithm is verified by performing numerical simulations.
