In this paper, we propose the design and implementation of a desktop LED stand and smart app that automatically adjusts color temperature and illuminance for optimal brightness and eye health by improving the structural problem of the LED stand. It is a tabletop LED stand that supports optimal brightness through color temperature control and heat transfer through infrared LED to relieve eye strain through blood circulation and muscle movement. The LED stand works with the smartphone to automatically adjust the optimal brightness and color temperature for the user's environment. In addition, the brightness of the infrared LED is adjusted to a living frequency of 4Hz to relax the eye muscles and reduce eye strain. This study implemented an effective measured data-based system of previous studies through the color temperature and illumination of LED lighting, and near-infrared rays, and presented meaningful results by conducting an experiment to prove the effect through subjects.

Recombinant Rhodopseudomonas palustris, harboring the carotenoid-metabolizing gene crtI (CrtIBS), and whose color changes from greenish yellow to red in response to inorganic As(III), was cultured in transparent microplate wells illuminated with a light emitting diode (LED) array. The cells were seen to grow better under near-infrared light, when compared with cells illuminated with blue or green LEDs. The absorbance ratio of 525 to 425 nm after cultivation for 24 h, which reflects red carotenoid accumulation, increased with an increase in As(III) concentrations. The detection limit of cultures illuminated with near-infrared LED was 5 ${\mu}g$/l, which was equivalent to that of cultures in test tubes illuminated with an incandescent lamp. A near-infrared LED array, in combination with a microplate, enabled the simultaneous handling of multiple cultures, including CrtIBS and a control strain, for normalization by the illumination of those with equal photon flux densities. Thus, the introduction of a near-infrared LED array to the assay is advantageous for the monitoring of arsenic in natural water samples that may contain a number of unknown factors and, therefore, need normalization of the reporter event.
As a non-invasive method for alleviating allergic rhinitis, there has been a recent ongoing research in the treatment of light from light emitting diodes (LEDs) and lasers. A total of 15 subjects diagnosed with allergic rhinitis were selected for this study. Red and near infrared light emitted from LEDs with wavelengths of 660nm and 940nm were illuminated three times daily (three minutes per cycle) for a total of two weeks. The degree of nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing and nasal itching was evaluated by questionnaires before and after the test. Also, the serum IgE (Immunoglobulin E) was measured and compared before and after the test. As a result, the total score of symptoms of allergic rhinitis was decreased by 67% after the test (P<0.01). The level of IgE was decreased by 17% after the test (P<0.05). In conclusion, the non-invasive LED phototherapy method using red and near-infrared LED light was effective in alleviating symptoms of allergic rhinitis. There were no adverse effects or complications reported during and after the test.
In this study, we have successfully developed an unique NVIS Green A compatible LED by combining two technologies. One is white LED made with a black EMC (epoxy molding compound) lead frame. The other is NVIS Green A filter that shields the near infrared region made in the film method. The form factor of the developed NVIS Green A compatible LED was 2.0 × 2.0 × 0.95 mm. And it is possible to satisfy NVIS radiance and color limit specified in MIL-STD-3009 by controlling the concentration of Green A dye and the thickness of the NVIS filter as well as adjusting of color temperature of the white LED. From these results, we are expected that the developed NVIS Green A suitable LED is a promising solution for the weight reduction and the cost reduction of avionic applications.
In this paper, we proposed eyeglass type periorbital wrinkle treatment device for reducing and improving periorbital wrinkles using near infrared LED of 850nm wavelength and galvanic current. The proposed periorbital wrinkle treatment device is equipped with a control system based on F-PCB. It consists of eight near-infrared LEDs and four indicator LEDs for treatment of right and left periorbital wrinkles. The eyeglass frame is coated with conductive material, so galvanic current can flow to the skin of periorbital wrinkle contacted to it. One male adult in the mid-40s was allowed to use the device for 10 minutes every day for 4 weeks. After 4 weeks, image analysis using optical equipment for measuring wrinkles indicated that wrinkle indexes were reduced.
The constant need for quality improvement and production rationalization in the chemical and related industries has led to the increasing replacement of conservative control procedures by more specific and environmentally compatible analytical techniques. In this respect, vibrational spectroscopy has developed over the last yews - in combination with new instrumental accessories and statistical evaluation procedures - to one of the most important analytical tools for industrial chemical quality control and process monitoring in a wide field of applications. In the present communication this potential is demonstrated in order to further support the implementation of mid-infrared (MIR), near-infrared (NIR) and Raman spectroscopy Primarily as industrial on-line tools. To this end the data of selected feasibility studies will be discussed in terms of the individual strengths of the different techniques for the respective application.
Pulse oximetry, a non-invasive technique for evaluating blood oxygen saturation, conventionally depends on isolated measurements, rendering it vulnerable to factors like illumination profile, spatial blood flow fluctuations, and skin pigmentation. Previous efforts to address these issues through imaging systems often employed red and near-infrared illuminations with distinct profiles, leading to inconsistent ratios of transmitted light and the potential for errors in calculating spatial oxygen saturation distributions. While an integrating sphere was recently utilized as an illumination source to achieve uniform red and near-infrared illumination profiles on the sample surface, its bulkiness presented practical challenges. In this work, we have enhanced the pulse oximetry imaging system by transitioning illumination from an integrating sphere to a multi-wavelength LED configuration. This adjustment ensures simultaneous emission of red and near-infrared light from the same position, creating a homogeneous illumination profile on the sample surface. This approach guarantees consistent patterns of red and near-infrared illuminations that are spatially uniform. The sustained ratio between transmitted red and near-infrared light across space enables precise calculation of the spatial distribution of oxygen saturation, making our pulse oximetry imaging system more compact and portable without compromising accuracy. Our work significantly contributes to obtaining spatial information on blood oxygen saturation, providing valuable insights into tissue oxygenation in peripheral regions.

Recently, infrared (IR) and near-infrared (NIR) light-emitting diodes (LEDs) were widely used for home medical applications owing to its low output power and wide exposed area for curing. For deep penetration of the light under the skin, multiple LEDs with wavelengths of 700~10,000 nm were located on a flexible printed circuit board. When multiple wavelengths of LEDs were soldered on a circuit board, the lifetime of LED module highly depends on LEDs with a short lifetime. The mean time to failure (MTTF) was able to calculate with the experimental results under high temperature and the Arrhenius model. The results of this study could help companies to approve the warranty of LED modules and its product.
