Characteristics of water-level changes in the Temporary Gulpocheon Discharge Channel were identified by observing and analyzing changes in the subterranean water level induced by hydrological stresses the underground aquifer. The subterranean water level refers to the level at which the pressure of subterranean water passing through the corresponding position has an equipotential value that is in equilibrium with the atmospheric pressure at that location. This water level is not fixed but changes in response to hydrological stress. It can be identified by repeatedly measuring the distance from the observation point to the surface of the subterranean water. The subterranean water-level change equation and the variance range of the hydrological curve of subterranean water over 24 hours at the Gimpo-Gimpo National Groundwater Monitoring Network (NGMN) were used as assessment factors. The variance characteristics of the subterranean water at the 18 monitoring system locations were classified into three impact, observational wish, and non-impact. The impact type accounted for 50% of the subterranean water of and accurately reflected the water-level changes due to hydrological stress, showing that distance is the major controlling factor. The observational wish type accounted for 27.8% of the subterranean water, and one of the two assessment factors did not meet the assessment factors. The nonimpact type accounted for 22.2% of the subterranean water. This type satisfied the two assessment factors and represents subterranean water-level changes response to precipitation.
Purpose: This study was to investigate whether the application of different diagnostic criteria affected the frequency of convergence insufficiency (CI). Methods: Eighty one subjects with mean age of 22.54 years (20 to 27 years) were evaluated. Binocularity tests after refraction were performed as the following tests: near point of convergence (NPC) with an accommodative target, phoria using von Graefe method, positive fusional vergence (PFV) with a phoropter. Subjects with CI were diagnosed when exophoria (exo) was greater at near than at distance ($exo{\geq}4{\Delta}$, or >$6{\Delta}$), fusional vergence was $PFV{\leq}11{\Delta}$ for blur, $PFV{\leq}15{\Delta}$ for break, Sheard's or Percival's criterion, and NPC was $NPC{\geq}6cm$, ${\geq}7.5cm$ or >10 cm. Results: Frequency of CI with one diagnostic criterion was ranged from 6.2% to 77.8%, and was overestimated or underestimated according to criteria. It was reduced to the range of 6.2% to 43.2% with diagnostic criteria more than two, especially to the range of 24.7% to 28.4% with lower variability in diagnostic criteria including phoria and Sheard's criterion. There were high relationship between total score of signs and phoria score (r = 0.772, p<0.001), and measured phoria and Sheard's criterion (r = -0.654, p<0.001), but NPC had a high variability and a weak or no significant relationship with other diagnostic criteria. Results suggested $exo{\geq}4{\Delta}$, Sheard's criterion and $NPC{\geq}7.5cm$ for diagnostic criteria of signs and sequence for CI. Conclusions: Frequency of CI is likely to be over- and underestimated with diagnostic criteria. Cutoff values and procedures for phoria, Sheard's criterion and NPC as clinical signs should be suggested definitely in diagnosis associated with CI.

Treatment of a large diseased area with electron often requires the use of two or more adjoining fields. In such cases, not only electron beam divergence and lateral scattering but also fields overlapping and separation may lead to significant dose inhomogeneities(${\pm}20%$) at the region of junction of fields. In this study, we made Acrylic Electron Wedges to improve dose inhomogeneities(${\pm}5%$) in these junction areas and to apply it to clinical practices. All measurements were made using 6, 9, 12, 16, 20 MeV Electron beams from a linear accelerator for a $10{\times}10\;cm$ field at 100cm of SSD. Adding a 1 mm sheet of acryl gradually from 1 mm to 15 mm acquires central axis depth dose beam profile and isodose curves in water phantom. As a result, for all energies, the practical range was reduced by approximately the same distance according to the acryl insert, e.g. a 1 mm thick acryl insert reduces the practical range by approximately 1 mm. For every mm thickness of acryl inserted, the beam energy was reduced to approximately 0.2 MeV. These effects were almost Independent of beam energy and field size. The use of Acrylic Electron Wedges produced a small increase(less than 3%) in the surface dose and a small increase(less than 1%) in X-ray contamination. For acryl inserts, thickness of 3 mm or greater, the penumbra width increased nearly linear for all energies and isodose curves near the beam edge were nearly parallel with the incident beam direction at the point of penumbra width($35\;mm{\sim}40\;mm$). We decide heel thickness and angle of the wedge at this point. These data provide the information necessary to design Acrylic Electron Wedge which can be used to improve dose uniformity at electron field junctions and it will be effectively applied to clinical practices.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the microbiological quality, and to assure the hygienic safety of the food production in the university food service facility located in Seoul in accordance with the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point(HACCP) concepts. In the hygienic state assessment of kitchen, it has revealed that it was very important to remove water from the kitchen floor and to establish standard method for disinfection of cooking utensils. And foodservice workers were required to have training program for the safe handling of food and utensils since they did treat food without hygienic gloves. The kitchen layout had to be improved because the near distance of table with heating unit and shelf might cause the growth of microorganisms when prepared food was kept on the shelf. In terms of the timetemperature measurement and microbiological quality assessment during each of the food production phases, most of sengchae (raw vegetable dish) and namul (cooked vegetable dish) were treated within danger zone for food safeness ($5~60^{\circ}C$). It has shown that the microbiological quality of raw materials was very much inferior at the time of receiving based on the TPC($10^{5}~10^{7}$), coliform($10^{3}~1O^{6}$), which was not acceptable level(TPC:$10^{6}$, coliform:$10^{3}$) suggested by Solberg. Microbiological growth has increased in the both of sengchae and namul considerably during most of food production phase. Therefore, it is extremely important to reduce holding and serving time and to avoid treating food within the danger zone for food safeness. In addition, the prevention of cross-contamination during mixing the ingredients with improper equipments and with insanitary treatments by workers was also important to keep the food safety in this speciqic university foodservice facility.
In this study, the correlation of organic content with particle size and type of sediment was found out.Particle size, stratigraphic section and organic content of sediments sampled from Dalpo wetland was analyzed. Dalpo wetland consists of three wetlands, and the area of Dalpo wetland is about $31,295m^2$. The particle size analyses for sampled sediments of 7 points (3 points in wetland A, 3 points in wetland B and 1 point in wetland C) were tested. As results of the particle size analyses, the sediment particle size becomes larger as to the edge of the wetland. It is revealed in order of wetland A > wetland C > wetland B. Borehole surveys with horizontal distance in the major and minor axes of wetland A, the major and minor axes of wetland B and the major axis of wetland C were accomplished. Clayey peat deposit is distributed at 10~90 cm depth below ground surface in the major axis of wetland A. The clayey peat deposit was the most thick at the center of wetland A that horizontal distance is 100 m. As the depth below ground surface of clayey peat deposit is less than 27 cm in the wetland B, we can infer that the life for the wetland B is being finished. Sediment composition of wetland C is simple because wetland C is small scale, and clayey peat deposit is distributed at 10~34 cm depth below ground surface. Sediment sampled by borehole survey in the Dalpo wetland was cut at interval of 10 cm, then organic content was analyzed. Organic content of wetland A sediment showed more than 40% until 70 cm depth below ground surface, also sediment of wetland B is similar to wetland A until 10 cm depth below ground surface, but is showed within 20 % above 30 cm depth below ground surface. Organic content of wetland B is showed the lowest as organic content near the ground surface is about 40%. All of the three wetlands, organic content is showed higher at clayey peat deposit near to ground surface. This is caused by finer particles of the clayey peat deposit, also organic materials were supplied from dead vegetation. Organic content of the Dalpo wetland showed in order of wetland A > wetland C > wetland B. This result is caused by thickness of clayey peat deposit in sediment. Through this study, it was verified that organic content of the Dalpo wetland sediment was dominated by particle size of sediment and vegetation of the upper part.
Purpose: Three-dimensional (3D) displays are very useful in many fields, but induce physical discomforts in some people. This study is to assess symptom type and severity of asthenopia with their habitual distance corrective spectacle (HDCS) and their binocular vision corrective spectacle lenses (BVCSL) in people who feel physical discomforts. Methods: 35 adult subjects (ages $32.2{\pm}4.4$ yrs) were pre-screened out of 98 individuals to have the highest symptom/asthenopia scores following 65 minutes of 3D television viewing with HDCS. These 35 individuals were then retested symptom/asthenopia scores during they watched 3D television for 65 minutes at a distance of 2.7 m with wearing BVCSL of horizontal, vertical or base down yoked prisms. A 4-point symptom-rating scale questionnaire (0=no symptom and 3=severe) was used to assess 11 symptoms (e.g., blur, diplopia, etc.) related to visual fatigue/visual discomfort. Distance and near lateral phoria were measured using Howell phoria card and vertical phoria were measured using Maddox rod. Symptoms induced by watching 3D TV were compared between wearing HDCS and BVCSL. Results: Asthenopia in watching 3D TV with wearing BVCS was significantly lower than wearing HDCS at 5, 25, 45, and 65 minutes (all p < 0.001, paired t-tests). In only refractive error power correction power group, all asthenopia was not significantly different between HDCS and BVCSL (all $p{\geq}0.05$, paired t-tests). In prism correction groups for binocular imbalance, symptoms of asthenopia, however, was significantly lower for when wearing BVCSL than when wearing HDCS (all p < 0.05). Conclusions: Correction of phoria/vergence-based binocular vision imbalance can reduce asthenopia during 3D television viewing. An individual with binocular vision imbalance need corrected/compensated glasses with appropriate prisms prior to prolonged viewing of 3D television displays to reduce asthenopia/visual fatigue.

In this paper, we studied about the radiated emission of EFT(Electrical Fast Transient)/Burst signal, referenced IEC-61000-4-4 of the international EMC standard and its effect on EUT(Equipment Under the Test) when EFT/Burst signal (Conducted noise) induced on a power cable to EUT. Firstly, we set up test sample by the standard and +4 kV standard signal is induced by EFT/Burst signal generator with 1 m length power cable for 1 minute. Consequently, we found not only induced EFT/Burst signal along power line, but also directly radiated emission signal from EFT/Burst signal generator (Radiated emission noise of EFT/Burst). The radiated emission signal of EFT/Burst was 30 dB which is higher than limit of CISPR 22 which is international EMC standard. Moreover, we measured the electric field strength by changing distance from maximum radiated emission point to electric field strength tester. As a result, this electric field strength was 23 V/m which is higher than international EMC standard test level(CISPR 24). Therefore, it was confirmed that the probability of malfunction may be high when radiated emission of EFT/Burst noise exists near the EUT.

This paper is the third investigation on the evaluation methods of flow characteristics in a steady flow bench. In the previous works, several assumptions used in the steady flow bench were examined and the flow characteristics were estimated both by the conventional impulse swirl meter and a particle image velocimetry at 1.75B position. From these works, it was concluded that the assumption of the solid rotation might cause serious problems and both of the eccentricity and the velocity profile distort the flow characteristics when using the ISM at 1.75B plane. Therefore, the understanding of the detail velocity profiles is very important to keep discussing the issues about the steady flow evaluation method. For this purpose, the planar velocity profiles were measure at 1.75B position by particle image velocimetry and the characteristics were examined according to the valve angles and lifts. The results show that the planar velocity profiles of 11, 16, $21^{\circ}$ valve angle heads according to the lift are similar to each other, however, that of $26^{\circ}$ angle is an exceptional case in the all aspects. In addition, the swirl behaviors are not apparent up to 6~8 mm lift under the $21^{\circ}$ angle and somewhat arranged motions are observed over the whole plane near the highest lift. At this point, the narrower the angle, the lower the lift at which the swirl motions become clear. On the other hands, when the angle is $26^{\circ}$, the center of swirl is always farthest from the cylinder center and only the indistinct swirl is observed even if at the highest lift. Also, all the swirl centers are quite apart from the cylinder center so that the effect of eccentricity may not be negligible at 1.75B regardless the valve angle. Related to the tangential velocity along with the radial direction, the bands of the velocity distribution are very wide and the mean velocities of cylinder center basis are lower than the velocity which is assumed in the ISM evaluation. Lastly, the mean tangential velocity profiles of swirl center basis are sometimes higher than that of ISM-assumed up to 0.6 non-dimensional distance less than 6mm lift, however, as the lift increases the profiles are different according to the angles and profile $11^{\circ}$ is the most closed to the ideal profile. Consequently, the real velocity profile is far from the assumption of ISM evaluation.
Purpose: In near infrared spectroscopy, interactance configuration of a light source and a spectrometer probe can provide more information regarding fruit internal attributes, compared to reflectance and transmittance configuration. However, there is no through study on the parameters of interactance measurement setup. The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of the parameters on the estimation of soluble solids content (SSC) and firmness of muskmelons. Methods: Melon samples were taken from greenhouses at three different harvesting seasons. The prediction models were developed at three distances of 2, 5, and 8 cm between the light source and the spectrometer probe, three measurement points of 2, 3, and 6 evenly distributed on each sample, and different number of fruit samples for calibration models. The performance of the models was compared. Results: In the test at the three distances, the best results were found at a 5 cm distance. The coefficient of determination ($R_{cv}{^2}$) values of the cross-validation were 0.717 (standard error of prediction, SEP=$1.16^{\circ}Brix$) and 0.504 (SEP=4.31 N) for the estimation of SSC and firmness, respectively. The minimum measurement point required to fully represent the spectral characteristics of each fruit sample was 3. The highest $R_{cv}{^2}$ values were 0.736 (SEP=$0.87^{\circ}Brix$) and 0.644 (SEP=4.16 N) for the estimation of SSC and firmness, respectively. The performance of the models began to be saturated when 60 fruit samples were used for developing calibration models. The highest $R_{cv}{^2}$ of 0.713 (SEP=$0.88^{\circ}Brix$) and 0.750 (SEP=3.30 N) for the estimation of SSC and firmness, respectively, were achieved. Conclusions: The performance of the prediction models was quite different according to the condition of interactance measurement setup. In designing a fruit grading machine with interactance configuration, the parameters for interactance measurement setup should be chosen carefully.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine a suitable type and size of Hangul fonts for printed materials in the presbyopic age. Methods: Based on the most common Hangul fonts used today, three types of fonts were used Hamchrombatang, Sinmoonmyungjo and Sinmyungjo at small font sizes in the range 9-11 point (pt). Subjects were 101 volunteers aged 41 through 85 years. Near visual acuity (VA) was corrected to read VA 0.5 at 40 cm after distance correction. The subjects were asked to read words containing 88 characters in 10 pt after a question about preference. Readability was assessed by reading rate that was calculated as the number of words read correctly in one minute (words per minute, wpm). Results: The most preferred font type was Simmyungjo at small font sizes. Although preferred font sizes were different in each font type, Sinmyungjo was generally preferred at 10 pt more than other fonts. Hamchrombatang and Sinmyungjo were read significantly faster than Sinmoonmyungjo. There was a weak negative relationship between readability and age in Sinmyungjo. In comparing between the top 10% and the bottom 10% group sorted by reading rate, the top group showed lower average age and addition than the bottom group, however there were no significant differences in reading rate among the fonts. Conclusions: Although increasing age tends to be low in readability for Sinmyungjo, in the light of preferred font and readability, it is recommended to use a 10 pt Sinmyungjo font in printed materials for the presbyopic age.
