$\textrm{SrTiO}^3$ 와 과잉 MgO가 첨가된 $\textrm{Pb(Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O}_3$ - $\textrm{PbTiO}^3$ 계 세라믹스의 유전 및 변위 특성 (Dielectric and Strain Properties of PMN-PT Ceramics Doped with $\textrm{SrTiO}^3$ and excess MgO)

  • 본 논문은 (1-x-y)PMN-yPT-xST세라믹스의 유전 및 변위특성을 ST의 양에 따라 조사하였다. ST의 성분은 1∼ 6㏖%이내로 변화시켰고 과잉 MgO에 따른 조성변화에 따라 결과를 조사하였다. ST의 성분의 증가에 따라 유전상수는 5㏖%인 조성에서 최대값을 나타내었다. 큐리온도는 ST의 성분이 증가함에 따라 선형적으로 감소하였다. 항전계와 잔류분극은 l㏖%인 조성에서 최대값을 나타내었다. 과잉 MgO의 효과에 따라 유전상수는 0.8PMN-0.12PT-0.04ST조성에서 MgO를 3㏖%까지 과잉 첨가함에 따라 증가하였으나 변위특성은 감소함을 나타내었다.

  • Doping effect of various ions in Bi-layered ferroelectric $SrBi_2$$Nb_2$$O_{9}$ (SBN) ceramics was studied. Undoped SBN ceramic and SBN ceramics doped with $Ba^{2+}$, $Pb^{2+}$,$ Ca^{2+}$ , $Bi^{3+}$ , $La^{3+}$ , $Ti^{4+}$ , $Mo^{6+}$ , and $W^{6+}$ ions were made by a solid state reaction. Dielectric constants were measured with temperature. Ferroelectric transition temperature decreased with $Pb^{2+}$ , $Ba^{2+}$ , $La^{3+}$ doping, but the transition temperature increased with $Ca^{2+}$ , $Bi^{3+}$ , $Ti^{4+}$, $Mo^{6+}$ , or$ W^{6+}$ ionic doping. These results show that the ion size plays an important role in the ferroelectricity of SBN ceramic.

Electrical Properties of Low Temperature Sintered $SrTiO_3$ Varistor

  • The effects of $SiO_2$ and MnO addition on the sinterability and the electrical properties of 0.4mol% Nb-doped SrTiO3 varistor were investigated. The $SiO_2$ content was fixed at 0.3mol% and the MnO content varied from 0 to 1.0mol%. With 0.3 mol% $SiO_2$ and 0.3 mol% MnO addition, optimum density was obtained by sintering at $1200^{\circ}C$ without excess liquid phase. Impedance spectroscopy was performed on the sintered specimens with 0.3 mol% $SiO_2$ and various MnO contents. It was found that the resistivities of grains was increased with increasing MnO content. The dielectric constant was measured to be above 50000 in the specimen with 0.3~1.0mol% Mn content. The non-linear coefficient increased substantially with MnO addition, and it varied from 1 to 9 depending on the MnO content.

Structural and piezoelectric properties of lead-free (1-x)$(Na_{0.5}\;K_{0.5})NbO_3$-xBa($Ti_{0.9}$, $Sn_{0.1}$)$O_3$ ceramics

  • Lead-free (1-x)$(Na_{0.5}K_{0.5})NbO_3$-xBa($Ti_{0.9}Sn_{0.1})O_3$ [NKN-BTS-100x] ceramics doped with 1 mol% $MnO_2$ have been prepared by the conventional solid state method and their structural and piezoelectric properties were investigated. The NKN-BTS-100x ceramics exhibited a dense and homogeneous microstructure when they were sintered at $1030-1150^{\circ}C$. Grain growth was observed for the specimen sintered at relatively low temperature of $1050^{\circ}C$. A tetragonal/orthorhombic morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) in the perovskite structure was also appeared for the NKN-BTS-100x ceramics (0.04$1050^{\circ}C$. The enhanced piezoelectric properties in the NKN-BTS ceramics with a MPB composition were obtained. Especially, for the NKN-BTS-6 ceramics, a high dielectric constant (${\varepsilon}^T_3/\varepsilon_0=1,400$), piezoelectric constant ($d_{33}=237$) and electromechanical coupling factor ($k_p=0.42$) were obtained.

  • A new type of a lead-free positive temperature coefficient of resistivity(PTCR) material. based on $(Bi_{1/2}Na_{1/2})TiO_3\;-\;BaTiO_3$ solid solution ceramics has been developed. The effect of $Nb_O_5$ and $Y_2O_3$ content on the electrical properties and the microstructure of (1-x) $(Bi_{1/2}Na_{1/2})TiO_3\;-\;x\;BaTiO_3$ (BNBT) ceramics made using a conventional mixed oxide process has been studied. The Curie Temperature was obviously increased with the increasing of $(B_{0.5}Na_{0.5})TiO_3$ content. The Y-doped BNBT ceramics(x=0.02) display low resistivity values of $10^2-10^3$ ohm*cm at room temperature and the Curie Temperature of $Tc=155^{\circ}C$.

Physical Properties of PNN-PMN-PZT Doped with Zinc Oxide and CLBO for Ultrasonic Transducer

  • In this paper, to develop the ceramics with high $d_{33}$ and high $Q_m$ for ultrasonic transducer applications, $0.10Pb(Ni_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3-0.07Pb(Mn_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3-0.83Pb(Zr_{0.5}Ti_{0.5})_{0.83}O_3$ (PNN-PMN-PZT) ceramics were sintered at $940^{\circ}C$ using $CuO-Li_2CO_3-Bi_2O_3$ (CLBO) as a sintering aid by a traditional solid-state technique. The influence of zinc oxide additive on the physical properties of the prepared ceramics were systematically investigated. The R-T (rhombohedral-tetragonal) phase coexistence was found in the ceramics without zinc oxide additive and with increasing amounts of ZnO additive, the specimens showed a tetragonal phase. The formation of a liquid phase between ZnO and $Bi_2O_3$ contributed significantly to the grain growth of specimens. For the 0.1 wt% ZnO ceramics, the optimal physical properties of $d_{33}=370pC/N$, ${\varepsilon}_r=1,344$, $k_p=0.621$, and $Q_m=1,523$ were obtained.

초음파 전동기용 0.125PMN-0.435PT-0.44PZ 세라믹스의 유전 및 압전특성 (Dielectric and Piezoelectric Properties of 0.125PMN-0.435PT-0.44PZ Ceramics for Ultrasonic footer Applications)

  • 본 연구에서는 $0.125Pb(Mg_{1/2}Nb_{2/3})O_{3}-0.435PbTiO_{3}-0.44PbZrO_{3}$의 조성을 갖는 hard계 압전 재료에 0.5 wt%의 $MnO_{2}$를 첨가하였으며, 이 시편으로 초음파 전동기를 제작하고자, 소결 온도에 따른 시편의 유전 및 압전특성에 대하여 연구하였다. 실험 결과, $1270^{\circ}C$의 소결 온도에서 다음과 같이 가장 우수한 압전특성을 나타냈다. 즉 시편의 밀도는 $7.72\;g/cm^{3}$ 유전상수는 570, 유전손실은 0.82 %f, 잔류분극 Pr은 $19.18{\mu}C/cm^{2}$ 항전계 Ec는 9.63 kW/cm, 전기기계 결합계수 kp는 55.1%, 기계적 품질계수 Qm은 886이 되었다. 또한 $1270^{\circ}C$ 에서 소결된 시편의 유전상수 및 유전손실을 주파수 변화와 온도 변화에 따라 조사하였다.

  • ($Zr_{0.8}, Sn_{0.2})TiO_4$의 소결온도를 저하시키고 품질계수 향상의 목적으로 첨가한 $V_2O_5$가 다른 donor형태의 화합물과 달리 품질계수의 저하를 가져오는 원인을 $Ta_2O_5$가 첨가된 ($Zr_{0.8}, Sn_{0.2})TiO_4$와 미세 구조변화, 전기전도도, 산화상태의 관점에서 비교 분석하였다. 일반적으로 donor형태의 화합물의 첨가는 ($Zr_{0.8}, Sn_{0.2})TiO_4$의 산소공공의 농도를 감소시켜 품질계수의 증가를 가져오는 것으로 알려져 있다. $V_2O_5$의 첨가의 경우는 액상소결에 의한 결정입계상 존재, 섬유상 형태의 $V_2O_5-TiO_2$rich 이차상 형성 및 Vanadium 이온의 산화상태 불안정에서 기인된 산소공공의 농도 증가가 복합적으로 ($Zr_{0.8}, Sn_{0.2})TiO_4$의 품질계수 저하 요인으로 작용하였다.

PMN-PT-PZ 계 세라믹스를 이용한 압전 발음체 설계 (Design of the Piezoelectric Sounder Using the PMN-PT-PZ)

  • In this study, the physical properties of the piezoelectric sounder with metal-piezoelectric ceramics were analyzed. The dielectric and piezoeletric properties of 0.5wt% MnO$_2$ and NiO doped 0.1Pb(Mg$\_$1/3/Nb$\_$2/3/)O$_3$-0.45PbTiO$_3$-0.45PbZrO$_3$ ceramics were investigated aiming at acoustic transducer applications. The acoustic characteristics of a thin circular disc-type with metal-piezoceramics have been investigated. Also, the acoustic characteristics for the geometrical form of case were investigated. The piezoelectric sounder with 200kHz resonant frequency and 20kHz bandwidth was designed by considering the sharp directivity and the sound pressure.
