자동차 시트벨트의 진동특성 개선을 위한 구조에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Structure for the Improvement of Vibration Characteristics of a Vehicle Seatbelt)

  • To prevent vibration of a vehicle's interior parts due to external impacts, the vehicle should be designed to reduce vibration and increase rigidity. In this paper, we conducted a vehicle test in which the vibration characteristics of a seatbelt resulting from the impact of a person closing a car door were measured and analyzed. A correlation analysis was performed using the finite analysis method. Based on this, a sensitivity analysis was performed, and an improved model was designed. We compared the natural frequencies and mode shapes of the improved and the initial models, which confirmed that the natural frequency of the improved model was more than 10 Hz higher than that of the initial model. Moreover, the response frequency of the improved model was three times higher than the input frequency applied in the vehicle test.

Vibration analysis of mountain tunnel lining built with forepoling method

  • Nowadays, many tunnels have been commissioned for several decades, which require effective inspection methods to assess their health conditions. The ambient vibration test has been widely adopted for the damage identification of concrete structures. In this study, the vibration characters of tunnel lining shells built with forepoling method was analyzed based on the analytical solutions of the Donnell-Mushtari shell theory. The broken rock, foreploing, rock-concrete contacts between rock mass and concrete lining, was represented by elastic boundaries with normal and shear stiffness. The stiffness of weak contacts has significant effects on the natural frequency of tunnel lining. Numerical simulations were also carried out to compare with the results of the analytical methods, showing that even though the low nature frequency is difficult to distinguish, the presented approach is convenient, effective and accurate to estimate the natural frequency of tunnel linings. Influences of the void, the lining thickness and the concrete type on natural frequencies were evaluated.

  • 본 논문은 UWB 신호의 초광대역 특성으로 인해서 시간영역에서 디지털적 구현이 어려운 TR-UWB 시스템을 주파수영역에서 구현할 수 있는 방법을 제시한다. 한 시스템은 Parseval 정리로부터 유도되었으며 그로 인해 시간영역에서 구현되는 TR-UWB 시스템과 동일한 성능을 갖는다. 또한 주파수 성분들의 복소수 특성을 이용해서 성능을 보다 개선할 수 있는 새로운 구조의 TR-UWB 시스템을 제시한다. 마지막으로 시뮬레이션에 의해서 시간영역에서 구현될 수 있는 TR-UWB 시스템과 주파수영역 시스템들 간의 성능을 비교한다.

Text-Mining of Online Discourse to Characterize the Nature of Pain in Low Back Pain

  • PURPOSE: Text-mining has been shown to be useful for understanding the clinical characteristics and patients' concerns regarding a specific disease. Low back pain (LBP) is the most common disease in modern society and has a wide variety of causes and symptoms. On the other hand, it is difficult to understand the clinical characteristics and the needs as well as demands of patients with LBP because of the various clinical characteristics. This study examined online texts on LBP to determine of text-mining can help better understand general characteristics of LBP and its specific elements. METHODS: Online data from www.spine-health.com were used for text-mining. Keyword frequency analysis was performed first on the complete text of postings (full-text analysis). Only the sentences containing the highest frequency word, pain, were selected. Next, texts including the sentences were used to re-analyze the keyword frequency (pain-text analysis). RESULTS: Keyword frequency analysis showed that pain is of utmost concern. Full-text analysis was dominated by structural, pathological, and therapeutic words, whereas pain-text analysis was related mainly to the location and quality of the pain. CONCLUSION: The present study indicated that text-mining for a specific element (keyword) of a particular disease could enhance the understanding of the specific aspect of the disease. This suggests that a consideration of the text source is required when interpreting the results. Clinically, the present results suggest that clinicians pay more attention to the pain a patient is experiencing, and provide information based on medical knowledge.

  • A pitch detector is an essential component in a variety of speech processing systems. Besides providing valuable insights into the nature of the exciation source for speech production, the pitch contour of an utterance is useful for recognizing speakers, aids-to-the handicapped, and is required in almost all speech analysis-synthesis system. Because of the importance of the pitch detection, a wide variety algorithms for pitch detection have been proposed in speech procesing literature. Thus, in this paper we discuss th evarious type of pitch detection algorithms which have been proposed until now. Then we provide th eperformance measurements for seven pitch detection algorithms.

  • This study aims to evaluate factors of floor structure influencing to the floor impact sound. For this reasons, we measured the vibration of floor and the floor impact sound in moment flame structure. The main results from this study are that slab area and thickness are critical factors of the floor impact sound and aspect ratio slab is not verified in flor impact sound.

자연성기반 홍수완충공간 조성에 따른 홍수위 변화 분석 (Analysis of Flood Level Changes by Creating Nature-based Flood Buffering Section)

  • 최근 기후변화로 인한 극한홍수 피해가 급증하고 있어 기존의 홍수관리시설만으로는 홍수피해에 제대로 대응하기 어려운 상황에 직면하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 이러한 문제에 대처하기 위해 홍수 관리의 자연성 기반 접근 방법 중 하나인 제방 후퇴 및 이설의 효과를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 1차원 수치모델 HEC-RAS를 사용하여 100년 빈도 홍수에 대한 홍수위 및 유속 변화 그리고 최대 홍수위 발생 시점에 대해 분석하였다. 식생 조성 등의 자연성기반 홍수완충공간의 조성 환경 특성을 고려한 조도계수의 선택은 홍수위 변화 분석 결과에 민감하기 때문에 엄격한 기준과 과학적 근거를 기반으로 하였다. 분석결과, 자연기반해법의 홍수완충공간 조성에 따른 홍수위 저감 효과는 상류 구간에서 더 크게 나타났으며, 최대 30 cm의 홍수위가 저감되었다. 일부 홍수터 확장구간에서는 국부적으로 홍수위가 상승하는 현상이 나타나며, 유속 변화는 확장된 통수단면적의 비율에 따라 다양하게 나타났다. 이를 통해 제방 후퇴와 홍수터 확장은 홍수 관리의 효과적인 대안으로 고려될 수 있을 것으로 기대되며, 홍수위 변화, 유속 변화 및 최고 수위 발생 시점에 대한 종합적인 설계가 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

광 디스크 드라이브의 트랙 추종 서보 시스템을 위한 반복 제어 (Repetitive Control for the Track-Following Servo System of an Optical Disk Drive)

  • Disturbances acting on the track-following servo system of an optical disk drive inherently contain significant periodic components that cause tracking errors of a periodic nature. Such disturbances can be effectively rejected by employing a repetitive controller, which must be implemented carefully in consideration of system stability. Plant uncertainty makes it difficult to design a repetitive controller that will improve tracking performance yet preserve system stability. In this paper, we examine the problem of designing a repetitive controller for an optical disk drive track-following servo system with uncertain plant coefficients. We propose a graphical design technique based on the frequency domain analysis of linear interval systems. This design method results in a repetitive controller that will maintain system stability against all admissible plant uncertainties. We show simulation and experimental results to verify the validity of the proposed design method.

고차통계 기법과 웨이브렛을 이용한 수중 천이신호 탐지 (Underwater Transient Signal Detection Using Higher-order Statistics and Wavelet Analysis)

  • 본 논문에서는 수중 천이신호 탐지를 위하여 시간주파수 영역에서 신호분석이 가능한 웨이브렛을 적용하였다. 낮은 신호대 잡음비를 가지는 관측신호로부터 천이신호를 탐지하기 위하여 고차통계 기법과 웨이브렛을 사용하였으며, 웨이브렛을 이용하여 신호를 주파수 영역에서 분해한 다음 고차통계 기법을 이용하여 분해된 웨이브렛 계수들의 정규분포 특성을 측정하였다. 제안한 방법으로 천이신호를 탐지할 경우 낮은 신호대 잡음비를 가지는 관측 신호로부터 천이신호를 잘 탐지할 수 있었다.

휴대폰 앱을 이용한 건물 수평진동의 상시진동계측 (Ambient Vibration Measurement of Buildings Horizontal Vibration Using a Mobile Phone Application)

  • The cases of conducting the vibration measurement using the mobile phone with regard to the building's horizontal vibration are very rare in Korea and foreign countries. Therefore, this study analyzed the horizontal vibration nature of the building using the mobile phone targeting 5 tall buildings, and reviewed about the applicability of the mobile phone vibration measuring instrument through the comparison/verification with the data of the existing vibration measuring instrument. The peak of the measured time series waveform was measured clearly and it showed a similar value to the existing natural frequency.
