This study researched the status and prospect of the natural dye program in the Gyeongsang region, with a focus on private centers with sufficient infrastructure and abundant human resources available for natural dyes. Metropolitan cities do not own the drying house and the agricultural land for natural dyes as well as have difficulty securing the land; therefore, entire sites are limited and smaller as they are closer to the city. The one-time program of all centers has been researched to help promote and maintain centers rather than generate profit. It is shown that June-August (summer) is preferred over December-February (winter). Natural dye programs for hobby and education are operated as needed because the number of participants are low. This program uses natural indigo and Persimmon Juice for the dyeing raw materials. Programs are often outsourced by other institutes with a private certification registration system the starting of a business after obtaining certification are often found in institutes operating programs directly. Future plans do not include investments in facilities (like the enlargement of experience centers) the prospect of programs and business value is bright for business strategies that include an exhibition shop for natural dye products and program development.
Natural gardenia and Japanese pagoda tree have been known as them of the most widely used yellow vegetable dyes. Cotton and silk fabrics(KS K 0905) were chosen as specimens. Those were dyed with natural gardenia and Japanese pagoda tree. The conditions of dyeing were varied according to the kinds of mordants, using mordants or not and the concentrations of the natural dyes. Sn, Al, Fe and Cu were chosen for the mordants. 5%(owf), 10%(owf), 15%(owf) and 20%(owf) were used as for the concentration of the natural dyes. The color differences were measured by the Spectrometer(UV-VIS-NIR) before and after dyeing. The results are as follows: 1. Deeper colors were proportionately shown up to the concentration of the natural dye. 2. Silk was shown the higher dye affinity than the cotton at the same concentration of the dye. 3. The color difference between the Sn-mordanted specimens and the Al-mordanted specimens were significant. When the concentration of the dye increased, the colors got darker, specially in b* value. 4. The color difference between the Fe-mordanted specimens and the Cu-mordanted specimens were significant in L* value and b* value. 5. The deeper or lighter yellow were controllable under the concentration of the natural dye and the mordants. 6. The most effective and the economic concentration of the natural dye was 10% owf through the experiments.

With the development of synthetic dyes, excellent dyeing properties and massive production became possible. On the other hand, natural dyeing technology has gradually disappeared. However, the international environmental and human safety requirements of the apparel and textile industry are increasing, and there is a growing interest in safer and more environmentally friendly products. Accordingly, the public's interest in natural dyeing is increasing. To meet these demands, it is first necessary to clarify the stages of production and distribution of natural dyes. It is necessary to evaluate whether the product is a natural dye product and study the suitability of the natural dye product through qualitative and quantitative assessment of the indicator components of the natural dye. Typical of three natural dyes did qualitative and quantitative analysis by HPLC-DAD and HPLC-MS. Products dyed using natural dye three products were analyzed, and the presence or absence of detection of each indicator components was confirmed to confirm whether the product was dyed using natural dyes.

One-step reduction/dyeing method was optimized for wool dyeing with natural indigo dye in this study. The effects of reduction/dyeing conditions including dye temperature and time, the pH of bath, concentration of dye, and reducing agent on dye uptake and color were investigated. The dye uptake was higher with no addition of alkali. Dyeing was carried out through the use of only sodium hydrosulfite in the bath. The maximum dye uptake was obtained at $60^{\circ}C$ for 30min and the dyed fabrics appeared in the PB Munsell color range. Dye uptake improved with the increase of a natural indigo dye concentration with the same sodium hydrosulfite concentration. At a higher dye uptake, the fabric color became more purplish and the maximum absorption shifted from 660nm to 620nm. Color reproducibility was reliable with a color difference in the range of 0.41~1.43. Regardless of color strength, washing and dry cleaning fastnesses were good with a 4/5 rating, and fastnesses to rubbing and light were acceptable with a 3/4~4 rating.
Dye sensitized solar cells were fabricated using natural dyes extracted from beetroot, rose and strawberry. The ZnO nanorod working electrode has been prepared by simple hydrothermal method. The crystallinity and morphology of the prepared electrode has been studied using X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy techniques. The effect of natural dye extract temperature, pH of the dye and the solvent used for dye preparation on the solar cell characteristics have been studied. The efficiency of strawberry extract sensitized ZnO nanorod solar cells are found to be better than the other solar cells sensitized using beetroot and rose extracts.
Aggregation behavior of three kinds of benzindocarbocyanine dyes in aqueous methanol solution was studied by UV-Vis absorption spectrum. The results indicated that the three dyes all existed monomer-dimer equilibrium in aqueous methanol solution (concentration range $10^{−5}\;to\;10^{−6}$ M) at 25.0$\sim$41.0 ${^{\circ}C}$ for Dye 1, 28.0$\sim$49.0 ${^{\circ}C}$ for Dye 2 and 26.0$\sim$47.0 ${^{\circ}C}$ for Dye 3. The fundamental property of the three dyes as the dimeric association constant KD, the dimeric free energy ${\Delta$}G_D, the dimeric entropy ${\Delta$}S_D, and the dimeric enthalpy ${\Delta$}H_D were determined. The ${\Delta$}H_D of three dyes: Dye 1, Dye 2 and Dye 3 was -42.5, -15.1 and -18.9 kJ/mol, respectively. The experimental observations were the subject of a theoretical study including the ground-state geometries which were fully optimized using DFT at B3LYP/6-31G level. The effect of dye molecule structure on ${\Delta$}H_D was discussed by theoretical calculations.

The objectives of this study were to evaluate color sensation for yellowish natural dye fabrics using magnitude estimation to determine physical colorimetric factors significantly related to human sensibility by establishing power function in psychophysical analysis. Fourteen different yellowish fabrics dyed with natural colorants were selected as stimuli and subjective color sensations including brightness, heaviness, softness, strength, warmth, activeness, classicalness, femininity, and pleasantness for each stimulus were evaluated. As results, yellowish natural dye fabrics in general seemed to evoke feeling of brightness, femininity, and pleasantness more strongly than that of heaviness and classicalness. Most of color sensation were significantly related with more than one of physical color properties, which leads to establishing reliable power functions between them. In the power functions, these relationships could be utilized to design color-sensible natural dye textiles.
Low priced and environment-friendly natural dye from coumarin- containing plants for the dye sensitized solar cell (DSSC) was developed. Dyes were extracted from cinnamon and angelica that contained coumarin derivatives, and DSSCs employing these dyes were prepared. PV efficiency of 0.75% was obtained from cinnamon dye, which is comparable to the highest efficiency reported in precedent studies about natural dye DSSC. It was confirmed by UV-visible and FT-IR spectroscopy that coumarin derivatives in the plants acted as photosensitive material.

The study was about on the colorfastness of the natural vegetable dye. Impatient Balsamina was chosen as a speciesof the natural vegetable dye. It has a long history for Korean Women‘s grooming on the nail to be reddened, Actually those were very easy to gather and easy to extract the colors from the leaves and the flowers, Also Impatient Balsamina were abundant near our environment. So this was a cue as a natural dye for the wool fabric, This study was designed to testify the possibility of the Impatient Balsamina as a natural vegetable. First, 2 kinds of extracts from the Impatient Balsamina were prepared. Second, 2 kinds of mordants and 3 kinds of dyeing process were used. And the dyed wool fabric were evaluated the color index using Chroma Meter, the result was recorded as L$^*$, a$^*$, b$^*$ value(65.86, 16.40, 36.80). The effect of the mordants was more effective in Cr mordant than Al mordant in the color fastness and the color affinity. The very interesting results were in the colorfastness to the drycleaning, that was graded 4 to 5, but the colorfastness to light was low, graded 2. Impatient Balsamina was veryfied, it could be a natural vegetable dye for the wool fabric.
To improve the dyeability and colorfastness of cotton and silk fabric dyed with natural dye of safflower, cotton and silk fabrics were pre-treated with different mordants such as halliic-acid, alum, brine and tannic-acid. Also, to investigate the effect of finishing treatment of fabrics on dyeability, cotton was treated with chitosan and mercerized before dyeing. L, a, b, ΔE and colorfastness(light, Laundry, sweat) of each samples were measured and compared. Mordant treatment didn't improved significantly dyeability and colorfastness on cotton and silk. But, on cotton mercerization and chitosan treatment improved dyeability and colorfastness. To compare the efficiency of extracted dye and Powered dye, extracted red dye of safflower prepared as powder. Cotton and silk were dyed with dyeing solution which made with powdered dye according to different concentration. Efficiency of powdered dye was found out lower than extracted dye solution.
