선회류를 이용한 응집침전모듈의 개발 및 실증 연구 (Development and Lab-scale Plant Study of Coagulation Sedimentation Module using Cyclone)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 소규모 응집침전모듈의 개발 및 lab-scale 테스트를 통한 실증이다. 최근 하수처리율이 높아짐에 따라 비점오염원 관리에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있어 소규모 처리장치 개발의 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 본 연구의 응집침전모듈은 응집공정 이후 외부 영역에서 선회류를 통한 플럭(floc)의 추가 성장 및 미세 플럭 수의 감소, 내부 침전 영역에서 수직 수평류 복합침전방식을 통한 침전효율 증대로 효과적인 고액분리가 가능토록 하였다. 응집침전모듈은 수직 수평류 복합침전 방식을 통해 재래식침전조에 비해 같은 체적에서 침전면적 및 표면부하율을 4.4배 증가시킬 수 있었다. 본 연구에서 외부 및 내부 침전 영역에서의 선회류 형성 유지와 내부 침전영역에서의 균등한 유량분배를 본 공정의 중요한 설계인자로 선정하였고, 이의 도출을 위해 유체유동해석 모델인 FLUENT를 이용하였다. 선회류 유동경향 모사를 통해 유입속도, 외부조의 규격, 하부콘호퍼 깊이 등을 결정하였고 속도분포 및 유량분배 해석을 통해 유출공 직경과 개수, 유출홀 직경 등 내부 침전영역의 세부 규격을 도출하였다. $60{\ell}/hr$규모의 파일럿 테스트 결과 20분의 체류시간 동안(표면부하율은 $37.3m^3/m^2$일)탁도 300~800 NTU의 폐수를 고분자응집제 주입 없이 10 NTU 이하로 처리할 수 있었으며, 유체유동해석 모델을 활용한 설계인자 도출의 가능성을 확인하였다.

  • 침수의 깊이와 시간에 따른 토마토의 생육단계별 생육저해정도와 수량 감소 및 이와 관련된 이병성, 시비효과, 형태적 특성 및 생리적 변화 등의 차이를 비교 검토하여 침수피해에 따른 피해정도의 예측에 기초자료로 활용하기 위하여 온실조건에서 발아기, 유묘기별로 각각 침수깊이를 지면위 0, 5. 10, 15 cm의 4개 처리에, 각각 시간을 6, 12, 24, 48, 120 시간으로 처리하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 발아기(發芽期) 만수(漫水) 반응(反應) $0{\sim}5$ cm 침수에서 48시간, $10{\sim}15$ cm 침수에서는 $25{\sim}27$시간을 기점으로 현저한 발아제한이 이루어졌다. 초장은 침수깊이에 관계없이 24시간 이내까지 회복이 가능했고, 엽수는 침수깊이가 증대됨에 따라 회복 가능한 시간의 한계가 짧아졌다. 생체중의 감소는 지하부보다 지상부에서 민감한 반응을 보이고, 침수경과 24이내에서 회복이 가능하였다. 침수처리별 발아율과 초장, 엽수, 지상 및 지하부 생체중간의 모든 형질간에 고도의 유의적 상관 관계가 있었다. 2. 유묘기(幼苗期) 만수(漫水) 반응(反應) 초장은 0 cm 깊이에서는 24시간 처리수준까지 초장회복이 되었고, 그 이상 깊이에서는 시간과 관계없이 유의적인 감소가 되었으며, 엽수에서는 0 cm에서는 120시간까지도 회복되었고, 5 cm에서는 24시간까지 회복이 가능하였으나, 그 이상 깊이에서는 6시간 이상처리에서 유의적인 감소가 있었다. 지상 및 지하부 생장량은 초장 및 엽수에서와 같은 경향을 보였다. 최장근신장이 0 cm 침수에서는 대조구의 80% 정도로 유지될 수 있었지만 5 cm이상 깊이에서는 120시간 침수로 근신장이 불가능 하였다. 근활력은 0 cm이상의 침수로 현저히 감퇴되었고, 호흡량은 5 cm 깊이를 변환점으로 하여 현저한 감소가 야기되었다. 그러나 광합성량은 침수깊이에 따라 직선적으로 감소하였다. 엽록소 함량은 침수깊이를 달리하여 48시간까지는 완만한 감소를 보였으나, 120시간에서는 현저한 엽록소 분해가 초래되었다. 발병은 침수처리 깊이와 시간 증대에 비례하여 커지는 경향이었고, 살균제 처리에 따른 방제의 가능성은 있었으나, 질소엽면시비 효과는 없었다. 개체당 총과중과 총과수는 침수깊이와 시간이 길어 질수록 완만하게 감소하였고, 평균 과중은 증대 되었으며, 침수깊이와 시간간의 통계적인 상호작용 효과는 없었다. 생장 및 수량 특성 모든 조사항목들 상호간에 고도의 유의성 있는 정의 상관관계를 나타내었다.

Neuroprotective Effects of Sacral Epidural Neuromodulation Following Spinal Cord Injury : An Experimental Study in Rats

  • Objective : The purpose of this study is to evaluate neuroprotective effect of sacral neuromodulation in rat spinal cord injury (SCI) model in the histological and functional aspects. Methods : Twenty-one female Sprague Dawley rats were randomly divided into 3 groups : the normal control group (CTL, n=7), the SCI with sham stimulation group (SCI, n=7), and the SCI with electrical stimulation (SCI+ES, n=7). Spinal cord was injured by dropping an impactor from 25 mm height. Sacral nerve electrical stimulation was performed by the following protocol : pulse duration, 0.1 ms; frequency, 20 Hz; stimulation time, 30 minutes; and stimulation duration, 4 weeks. Both locomotor function and histological examination were evaluated as scheduled. Results : The number of anterior horn cell was $12.3{\pm}5.7$ cells/high power field (HPF) in the CTL group, $7.8{\pm}4.9$ cells/HPF in the SCI group, and $6.9{\pm}5.5$ cells/HPF in the SCI+ES group, respectively. Both the SCI and the SCI+ES groups showed severe loss of anterior horn cells and myelin fibers compared with the CTL group. Cavitation and demyelinization of the nerve fibers has no significant difference between the SCI group and the SCI+ES group. Cavitation of dorsal column was more evident in only two rats of SCI group than the SCI+ES group. The locomotor function of all rats improved over time but there was no significant difference at any point in time between the SCI and the SCI+ES group. Conclusion : In a rat thoracic spinal cord contusion model, we observed that sacral neuromodulation did not prevent SCI-induced myelin loss and apoptosis.

한우 거세우의 사회 행동에 공간 허용이 미치는 영향 (Effects of space allowance on the social behavior of Korean native cattle (Bos taurus coreanae) steers)

  • This study was carried out to find out how space allowance affect the social behavior of Korean native cattle (Bos taurus coreanae) steers. Twelve Korean native cattle (Bos taurus coreanae) steers were used as subjects, each of which was 30-month-old and observation period was from June to July 2003. Five (T1) and seven (T2) steers were allotted to two pens of $5m{\times}10m$ in a building with slate roof and open sides respectively. They were fed at 09:00 h and 16:00 h, twice a day. The behaviors of steers were recorded from 06:00 h to 17:00 h, using two color CCD cameras (Samsung SDC-411, Korea), one B/W CCD cameras (Samsung SBC-340, Korea), one multiplexer (Samsung SDM-081, Korea) and a time lapse VCR (Samsung SRV-30, Korea). The behaviors of each steer were recorded every 2 min using an instantaneous point sampling method. While the mean percentage of time budget in WA of T1 was lower than that of T2 (p<0.05), the mean percentage of time budget in SF of T1 was higher than that of T2 (p<0.05). When it gets hot, steers in T1 rested from 10:00 h to 14:00 h when it gets cool, showing 40~80% of LD rate while steers in T2 rested from 12:00 h, when it very hot to 17:00 h, showing 20~50% of LD rate, which is relatively low. Steers in T1 were fed from 06:00 h to 08:00 h when it was cool and from 16:00 h to 18:00 h, showing 20~45% of EA rate while steers in T2 were fed from 08:00 h to 14:00 h when it was hot, showing 25~50% of EA rate. In conclusion, it turned out that the number of steers affected their social behavior, and T1 was better environment than T2 in terms of welfare.

다람쥐 간지방섭취세포(肝脂肪攝取細胞)의 전자현미경적(電子顯微鏡的) 관찰(觀察) (Electron Microscopic Observations of Fat-storing Cells on the Liver Of Squirrels)

  • In order to know the morphology and the function of the fat-storing cells (FSC) of the squirrels which were captured at the Pal-Gong mountain near Taegu in December, 1980 (Group A) and May, 1981 (Group B), respectively, the light and electron microscopic observations were conducted on the liver of the squirrels. The results obtained are as follows: 1. Light microscopically, the size of the lipid droplets in the FSC of group A was uniformly larger than those in the cells of group B, and number of the droplets in the FSC of group A was less than those in the cells of group B, The distribution of the FSC of group A was mainly perilobular area while those of group B was centrolobular and midzonal areas. In this point of view, the FSC of the squirrels was similar to those cells of the hamsters. 2. Electron microscopically, general morphology of the sqirrel's FSC was accorded with those of the other mammals. However, the rouph surfaced endoplasmic reticulum in the FSC of group B was more dilated than those in the cells of group A, and more lipid droplets and pinocytopic vesicles were observed in the FSC of group B than those in the cells of group A. 3. From the above evidences, it could be suggested that the metabolic rates in the FSC of the squirrels collected in the spring were higher than those in the cells of the animals collected in the winter.

GPS 측지망 조정을 통한 국가기준점 성과의 상시 산정 체계에 관한 연구 (A Study on Continuous Management Strategy or Published Coordinates of National Geodetic Control Points using GPS Network Adjustment)

  • 본 논문에서는 지각판 운동 지진과 같은 급격한 지각변동을 고려한 국가기준점의 상시적 성과 산정 체계 수립에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 이를 위하여 GPS 기준점의 국내 현황 및 최근 국가기준점의 재정비가 이루어진 국외 사례 조사로부터 시사점을 도출하고 GPS 상시관측점으로 이루어진 위성기준점망과 6,900 여점으로 이루어진 단일 GPS 망으로 단순화된 국가기준점의 계층 구조를 제안하였다. 또한, 초고정밀 다중기선해석과 정규방정식의 누적에 의한 연속조정을 통한 단계별 위성기준점의 성과 산정 절차 및 다중 세션 조정에 의한 단일 GPS 기준망의 성과 산정 방안을 제시하였다. 또한, 시험 조정망을 구성하여 조정계산을 실시하고 결과 분석을 통해 상시적 성과산정의 필요성과 제안한 성과산정 방법 및 절차의 타당성 등을 평가하였다.

GIS를 이용한 우면산 토석류 지형인자 분석 (Analysis of Topographical Factors in Woomyun Mountain Debris Flow Using GIS)

  • A number of investigations and studies have been conducted in various fields regarding the sediment disasters of Mt. Woomyeon that occurred in July 2011. We collected and compared the topographic information of the general points where debris flows did not occur and the collapse points where the debris flow occurred in order to find out the characteristics of the collapse points in Woomyeon mountain. The collected topographic information is altitude, curvature, slope, aspect and TPI(topographic position index). As a result of comparison, there were relatively many collapse points at an altitude of 210m to 250m, and at a slope of 30° to 40°. In addition, the risk of collapse was low in a cell where the curvature was close to 0, and the risk was higher in concave terrain than in convex terrain. In the case of TPI, there was no statistical difference between the general points and the collapse points when the analysis radius was larger than 200m, and there was a correlation with the curvature when the analysis radius was smaller than 50m. In the case of debris flows that are affected by artificial structures or facilities, there is a possibility of disturbing the topographic analysis results. Therefore, if a research on debris flow is conducted on a mountain area that is heavily exposed to human activities, such as Woomyeon mountain, diversified factors must be considered to account for this impact.

동물 이상행동과 지진전조 가설검증 연구동향 및 한계점 (Literature Review on the relation between Animals Unusual Behavior and Premonitory Symptoms of an Earthquake)

  • 대형재해 발생 전 동물 이상행동 목격사례가 심심치 않게 보도되고 있다. 동물 이상행동이 대형재해 발생과 연관이 있을까, 그렇다면 재해발생을 예지할 수 있을까? 본 연구의 목적은 동물 이상행동과 지진전조 관련 선행연구 고찰을 통해 이에 대한 해답을 탐구(探求)해 봄에 있다. 본 연구에서는 분석방법론에 따라 사례조사, 실험분석, 관찰 분석을 통한 가설검증 연구와 그 한계점을 고찰하였다. 선행연구는 결과적으로 '동물 이상행동을 전조현상으로 볼 수도 있다'와 '보기 어렵다'로 이분되며, 양쪽 모두 다수의 연구가 수행되었다. 그러나 관련연구에서는 데이터의 신뢰성 검증이 어렵고, 우연하게 계측된 데이터의 적은 샘플 수, 적합한 데이터 확보의 어려움 등 공통된 한계점을 지적하고 있다. 이에 지진예지에의 활용 가능성 검토단계에 이르기 위해서는 동물 이상행동과 지진발생과의 인과관계에 대한 과학적 검증이 선행되어야 한다.

초등학생이 인식하는 보건교사의 역할기대와 역할수행 (Role Expectation and Role Performance for School Health Educator as Elementary School Students Recognize)

  • Purposes of this study were 1) to identify the level of role expectation and role performance for school health educators as elementary school students recognize and to compare them, and 2) to examine differences in the role expectation and performance by characteristics of students and educators. Subjects of the study were 1,433 6th grade students at 37 elementary schools in Busan. The data were collected by a structured self-administered questionnaire, measuring role expectation and performance that students recognize. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, and ANOVA by SPSS program. The results were summarized as follows. 1. Students' level of recognizing the role expectation was high(M=4.08) and level of the role performance was moderate to high(M=3.50) within range of 1 to 5. The students recognized role expectation greater than role performance. 2. The students' point of view for role expectation and performance for school health educators were related to several characteristics of students and school health educators. Students' levels of recognizing the role expectation and performance were higher when students were male, healthy, their academic performance was high, their level of satisfaction with their school life was high, and their level of satisfaction with using school health office was high. With characteristics of School health educators, students' level of appreciating the role expectation was higher when educators were of an older age and had a long career, and when they were fairly satisfied with their job as an educator. Students' level of recognizing the role performance was higher when educators were of a younger age, and had a small number of students at school. This indicates that there exists role conflict on students and implies that the conflict needs to be mediated, and desirable solutions to address the conflict need to be developed by school health educators.

생태계 제어 시설물의 설계 및 배치 최적화(1) -연승식 양식시설의 계류력 특성 및 동요저감에 관한 연구- (Structural and Layout Design Optimization of Ecosystem Control Structures(1) -Characteristics of Mooring Force and Motion Control of the Longline Type Scallop Culturing Facility-)

  • To develop the optimal design method for the longline type scallop culturing facilities in the open sea numerical calculations and hydraulic model experiments are carried out for the stability and function optimization. Using the results for the motion and tension of the facilities, stable design concepts and effects of motion control system by vertical anchor and resistance discs art discussed. The results of this study that can be applied to the design are as follows: 1) Total external forces by design wave $(H_{1/3}\;=\;6,7\;m,\;T_{1/3}\;=\;12sec)$ at the coastal waters of Jumunjin for unit facility (one main line) are estimated to 5-20 tons, and required anchor weights are 10-40 tons in the case of 2-point mooring system. Though the present facilities are stable to steady currents, but is unstable to the extreme wave condition of return period of 10 years. 2) The dimensions and depth of array systems must be designed considering the ecological environments as well as the physical characteristics including the mooring and holding forces that are proportional to the length and relative depth of main line to wave length, and the number of buoys and nets. 3) Oscillation of the facility is influenced by water particle motion and the weight of hanging net, and is excited at both edge, especially at the lee side. To reduce the motion of the nets, the vertical anchoring system and the resistence disc method are recommended by the experimental results, 4) The damage of rope near the anchor by abrasion should be prevented using the ring-type connection parts or anchor chains.
