The purpose of this study was to explore characteristics of natural history museum exhibits from the viewpoint of science education. A total of ninety exhibits for this study were examined in national science museums of Korea and Japan. Exhibits of Tokyo national science museum were again divided into two groups: the old and traditional types, and the new and renovated ones. Even though analyzing data was not undertaken through quantitative statistical process, the interpretation of the data was valid enough to fulfill the purpose of the research. While there were clear changes and differences between the old and the new types of exhibits in Tokyo national science museum, the old part of Tokyo museum was similar to one in Korea. Based on analyzing the new types of Tokyo museum, the current movement in the field of natural history museums of Korea explicitly has toward utilizing more science education concepts and ideas.

이 연구의 목적은 경기도 소재의 한 과학관 전시 설명에 반영된 과학의 인식론적 특징을 탐색하는 것이다. 과학의 인식론적 이해는 오랜 시간 다양한 경험을 통해 형성되는 암묵적 차원이 크기 때문에, 학교 밖의 일상 경험을 통해 학생들은 다소 안정된 과학의 이미지를 형성하게 될 가능성이 크다. 따라서 본 연구의 대상은 학교 밖 과학교육 맥락의 하나인 과학관의 전시 설명으로 정하고, Ryder 등(1999)의 인식론적 범주를 사용하여 분석하였다. 연구의 결과는 '근거와 지식주장의 관계', '과학적 탐구의 본질', '과학의 사회적 차원'의 범주로 나누어, 각 범주에 대한 인식론적 특징을 세부적으로 탐색하고 해당 범주의 전시 설명 사례를 제시하였다. 전시 설명 사례는 주로 한 범주의 인식론적 특징을 반영하는 것으로 나타났다. 하나의 근거와 하나의 지식주장을 연결하거나, 개인적 흥미 혹은 과학 학문내적 탐구를 통해 지식을 생성하는 과정을 기술하거나, 과학 공동체 혹은 기관 차원의 과학 활동을 소개하는 등이었다. 본 연구의 결과를 토대로, 과학관 전시물의 여러 매체를 활용하여 다양한 범위의 인식론적 특징을 반영할 것이 제안되었다.

국립부여박물관 소장 고려시대 범종은 일부가 결실된 상태이며, 표면은 부식물과 매장당시 고착된 흙, 먼지 등으로 곳곳이 오염된 상태이다. 동종의 분석 결과, 주요 성분으로 Cu 74.18%, Sn 9.58%, Pb 15.77%가 검출되었고 기타 미량성분으로 As, Fe, Sb, Bi, Ag가 확인되었다. 동종의 미세조직은 α상 기지에 부분적으로 흰색(α+δ)공석상이 관찰되고 곳곳에서 회색 개재물(S)과 검은색 개재물(Pb 편석)이 분포하였다. 동종의 안정적 보존을 위하여 보존처리를 실시하였다.

이 연구에서는 서울지역의 초 중등교사 225명을 대상으로 설문조사를 통해 과학관 학습 관련 교수 학습 경험, 과학관 학습의 이해 및 실행에 대한 자기인식, 과학관 학습의 효과, 교수전략 및 본성에 대한인식, 과학관 학습 관련 교육 요구, 과학수업에서 과학관 학습 실행 의향에 대해 조사하였다. 연구 결과, 교사들은 과학관 학습과 관련된 교육을 받은 경험이 거의 없었고 과학관을 활용한 교수 학습 경험도 많지 않았다. 또한, 많은 교사들이 과학관 학습의 이해 및 실행에 대한 자기 인식이 높지 않은 수준인 것으로 나타났다. 과학관 학습의 교육적 효과와 과학관 학습의 본성 및 교수전략에 대한 이해 수준이 비교적 높은 것으로 나타났으나, 형식적인 학교교육에서의 교수관을 과학관 학습에도 그대로 적용하려는 경향이 있었다. 과학관 학습 실행 의향과 교육 요구가 높았는데, 교사들은 과학관 학습에 직접 활용할 수 있는 실제적인 사항들에 대한 정보를 가장 필요로 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 대한 교육적 함의를 논의하였다.

국립중앙박물관 보존과학실은 소장품의 유물상태에 따라 보존처리 우선순위 등급을 작성하였고, 2006년부터 연차적인 보존처리를 수행해오고 있다. 본 논문은 그 중 천목다완(신도1961)의 결손된 부분을 새로이 개발한 신복원재료를 사용하여 복원하는 과정을 소개하고 일부 박락된 유약층은 LIBS와 SEM-EDS분석기기를 사용하여 천목다완의 독특한 문양을 나타내는 유약성분을 분석하였다.

김해 대성동 2호분 출토 판갑은 보존처리 과정에서 경판(經板)이 확인되고 오리문양 철판이 발견되는 등의 주목할만한 특징이 관찰되었다. 향후 동종(同種)의 판갑 보존처리과정에서 각별한 유물상태조사가 요구되는 부분이기도 하다. 또한 판갑의 복원에 있어서도 복원 재료의 내구성과 고증된 제작기법의 적용이 신중히 고려되었다.

Through 'Local Theme Science Museum' aid program that is one of emphasis promotion strategic project by 2007 'Science.Technology.Cultural Project Plan', raises status of scientific technique by national core ability because all people expand base that understand and support scientific technique, and forms a social atmosphere which is scientific technique is important which scientific technique can be spread widely on national life and society whole, and proceeds target that expand local science museum facilities by a base of local science culture spreading and popularization. Accordingly, to plan balanced regional development and utilize to an advanced base of local science culture spreading because offer a science culture experience opportunity to local inhabitants, 'Local theme science museum' project is doing for that establish more 100 science museums for national.public.private institution in whole country until 2012 year. Support 39 projects to 2008 from 1999 thereby, in January, 2009, 13 'Local theme science museum' is opened and operated. This study examined arrangement preferentially about 'Science.Technology.Cultural Project Plan' that is background of 'Local theme science museum' project. Since surveying science museum which is on opening and operation at the present and analyzed actual conditions and facilities and investigated specification necessity and direction of 'Local theme science museum'. Hereafter, to seek plan for propriety of project by characteristic and difference of 'Local theme science museum' is purpose of this study. Now, need set and promotion of following specification direction for right activation of proceeding 'Local theme science museum' by each area. First, differentiation of theme and justifiability of building, Second, propriety of site position, Third, maximization of synergy effect by mixing concept of 'Specialized Economic Zone for Regional Developmental Policy' and Ecomuseum's 'Theme center'.

With the advent of the 4th industrial revolution, the educational innovation focusing on the key competencies is occurring in the whole world. In September 2015, the Ministry of Education suggested six key competencies such as self-management competency, knowledge/information processing competency, creative thinking competency, aesthetic sensibility competency, communication competency, and community competency for the 2015 revised national curriculum. Also, this era requires for diverse lessons like subject integrated/converged lesson and intramural/extramural education. Thus, the objective of this study is to research/analyze exhibitions of Busan National Science Museum as extramural educational institute and to relate between the 2015 revised curriculum and exhibitions of science museum. First, the exhibitions of permanent exhibition hall in Busan National Science Museum were researched/analyzed. It analyzed the current status, display type, and explained contents of exhibitions. Second, it analyzed the relations between contents of the exhibition and key competencies in the 2015 revised curriculum. Third, the 2015 revised curriculum for the 3rd and 6th grade related to the selected exhibition contents was analyzed. The analysis on the exhibition contents performed by this study would be helpful for follow-up researches connected to exhibitions of Busan National Science Museum.
