This technical note describes the current status of Finnish radioactive waste disposal project which started to construct the repository for spent nuclear waste for the first time in the world. Finland started operating nuclear power plant in 1977 and is currently operating four nuclear power plants. After detailed site surveys started in 1993, Olkiluoto was finally selected by the parliament of Finland as the site for geological disposal in 2001 followed by a construction license in 2015. If the operating license is approved by the government in the 2020s, it would be the world's first case of geological disposal. In ONKALO, a site-specific underground research facility at the site of Olkiluoto, various studies were conducted to verify the safety of the repository. Finland uses the KBS-3 disposal concept, and Korea considers a similar disposal concept because of similar rock formations. The entire process in Finland including the operation status of intermediate and low-level waste disposal, site investigation and selection stages, and the latest rock mechanics and hydrogeological studies in ONKALO are presented. Suggestions for the radioactive waste disposal in Korea is given based on the Finnish case.

The Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) thesaurus is a controlled vocabulary for indexing biomedical documents that is used for document retrieval and other natural language processing purposes. However, although the oariginal English MeSH is freely available, its Japanese translation has a restricted license. We attempted to create an open alternative, and for this purpose we made a script for assigning MeSH UIDs to Japanese medical terms using Japanese-English glossaries. From the MeSpEn glossary and MEDUTX dictionary, we generated a 12,457-word Japanese-MeSH dictionary.

R is an interactive mode package and graphical presentation tools in R are powerful. The greatest advantage is that R is a general public license package. Nations, especially developing countries, hope to license the technology developed at the expense of government Research and Development (R&D) investment to the corresponding firms for commercial exploitation. Since commercial process is owing to lots of risk, firms have to grope the possibility of forming a partnership in order to reduce the risk. Therefore, a joint venture between firms would be needed to share the risk. This methodology suggests a way that probabilistic information of commercial project payoffs can be obtained using experts in project evaluation committee and the ratio of individual firm's investment size can be derived using risk sharing concept. Also simple examples are given.

For research data to be shared without legal, financial and technical barriers in the Open Science era, data repositories must have the functional requirements asked by DMP and CoreTrustSeal. In order to derive functional requirements for the data repository, this study analyzed the Data Management Plan (DMP) and CoreTrustSeal, the criteria for certification of research data repositories. Deposit, Ethics, License, Discovery, Identification, Reuse, Security, Preservation, Accessibility, Availability, and (Meta) Data Quality, commonly required by DMP and CoreTrustSeal, were derived as functional requirements that should be implemented first in implementing data repositories. Confidentiality, Integrity, Reliability, Archiving, Technical Infrastructure, Documented Storage Procedure, Organizational Infrastructure, (Meta) Data Evaluation, and Policy functions were further derived from CoreTrustSeal. The functional requirements of the data repository derived from this study may be required as a key function when developing the repository. It is also believed that it could be used as a key item to introduce repository functions to researchers for depositing data.

The SoC and digital technology development recently enabled the emergence of information devices and control devices because the SoC present many advantages such as lower power consumption, greater reliability, and lower cost. It is required to use an embedded operating system for building control systems. So far, the Real-Time operating system is widely used to implement a Real-Time system since it meets developer's requirements. However, Real-Time operating systems reveal a lack of standards, expensive development, and license costs. Embedded Linux is able to overcome these disadvantages. In this paper, the implementation of control system platform using Real-Time Embedded Linux is described. As a control system platform, we use XScale of a Soc and build Real-Time control platform using RTAI and Real-Time device driver. Finally, we address the feasibility study of the Real-Time Embedded Linux as a Real-Time operating system for mobile robots.

본 논문에서는 주차 시설 이용 현황 중에서 차량 번호판 조사를 통하여 평균주차시간과 주차 회전율을 구하도록 한다. 관찰하는 사람이 없이 카메라를 활용하고, 조사 시간에 일정한 간격을 주어 조사하도록 한다. 일정한 조사 시간 간격을 주차된 차량에 나눠주어 평균 주차 지속 시간을 구하도록 한다. 그리고 이렇게 하여 주차면 1개당 1시간당 주차 차량 대수인 주차 회전율을 구하도록 한다.

The fee system on spectrum usage is a usage fee that is charged for using spectrum provided by a wireless tower, and is used for management and promotion of the waves. The current fee system for spectrum usage in South Korea has faced many problems, such as complex calculation for fees, unjustified charges, unfairness in cost sharing among providers, and general inefficiency of operation. This study focuses on comparison of fee systems for spectrum usage of South Korea and other foreign countries, extraction of the root causes and problems by case analyses, and recommendation for better solutions to make a reasonable fee system for spectrum usage. The result of this study can be used as a solution to render spectrum usage more effective.

The purpose of this study lies in giving help to the rational life of clothing of costmer and presenting some measures for solving problems of the fashion merchandising policy of children's ready-made clothes and the searching of feasibility of the children's ready-made clothes market in the wave of market liberalization. data for this study were obtained from interviews with managers in children's apparel company. The results are as follows : the most important change of children's ready-made clothes market is the increase in national brand license brand direct import brand and the variety of the channel of distri-bution. The most children's apparel companies showed double-edged viewpoints for these tendencies in the wave of market libera-lization. In therms of positive aspect it would give stimulus to improve product quality of fashion merchandise which were the most dis-advantageous factors in competing with oversea's brand. In terms of negative aspect it would bring the oversupply and the foreign product's penetration in domestic market. In order to improve the present condition the companies should try to establish strat-government should try to support to the small and medium sized apparel firms.
