A Study on the Effects of Financial Literacy and Financial Management Behavior on Entrepreneurship Awareness: Mediating Effect of Entrepreneurship (금융이해력과 재무관리행동이 창업인식에 미치는 영향 연구: 기업가정신의 매개효과)

  • This study examined the effect of college students' financial literacy and financial management behavior on entrepreneurial awareness and the mediating effect of entrepreneurship. To this end, a survey was conducted targeting university students in Busan and Gyeongnam area, A total of 207 responses were verified using SPSS 28.0 as a sample. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that financial literacy and financial management behavior had a positive effect on entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial awareness. Entrepreneurship was found to have a positive mediating effect between financial literacy and entrepreneurial awareness, financial management behavior and entrepreneurial awareness. As financial literacy improves, it leads to desirable financial management behavior, increases the potential to make more financially knowledgeable and responsible economic decisions, and increases the will to achieve future financial goals. The results of this study suggest that financial literacy and entrepreneurship education are very important during college education in order for potential entrepreneurs to recognize and promote entrepreneurship.

  • The article proposes a method of modeling a comprehensive indicator for evaluating the effectiveness of regional management of innovation activity. This will make it possible to assess the effectiveness of personnel, financial and credit and foreign economic activity of the regions from the standpoint of an integrated approach. The modeling technique is proposed to be carried out using the tools of taxonomic analysis and the calculation of a complex indicator of the effectiveness of the innovation activity management.

  • Although the accounting system is a very useful information system for manager, that of the National University Hospitals is not settled until now. Specially, when it will adapt the responsibility management system itself, it will more important tools for them. The purpose of this research is to make the standard accounting system for National University Hospital. It was surveyed the 7 National University Hospital's accounting system, and compared to that of Private University Hospital. The results are fellows; First, it must be match financial report with budgeting system. By comparing to each other, it can make to evaluate the performance of hospital. Second, it must make same format and contents in financial report among 7 hospitals. Specially, the cost information is needed to be made more details. This research suggest the new direction to make the basic information form. It was confirmed with financial manager in private university hospital. We hope it will contribute to make the new accounting system for National University Hospital.

The Development of Value-Based Children's Financial Education Program and Evaluation of Effect : Focusing on the values of each area of personal finance of 1st to 3rd grade elementary school students (가치기반 아동금융교육 프로그램 개발 및 효과평가: 초등학교 1~3학년 아동의 개인재무관리 영역별 가치를 중심으로)

  • In this study, a value-based children's financial education program was developed focusing on the values of each financial management area needed for children. According to 'quasi-experimental design - non-equivalent control group design', an experimental group and a control group were formed for children in the lower grades of elementary school, and a value-based child financial education program was executed, and then the program was applied to children's personal financial management. The effect on the value propensity for each area was evaluated. As a result of the quantitative evaluation, it was confirmed that the 8 values of the children in the experimental group were significantly improved compared to the children of the control group, so this program was effective in enhancing the values of each of the 8 areas of personal financial management needed for children. In addition, the children in the experimental group showed significant improvement compared to the children in the control group in the cognitive, justice, and psychodynamic levels of values. It has also been found to be effective in enhancing as a result of the qualitative evaluation, various positive changes were found in the cognitive, affective, and psycho-dynamic dimensions about the values of each financial management area for children. From a positive perspective, it was found that it plays a useful role in cultivating the values of each area of positive personal financial management.

  • This study introduces the concepts on the phase-shifting phenomenon of financial markets, which was firstly used in econophysics area and explains how the phase-shifting behavior is studied in the fields of business management and finance. Specifically, we explain how the phases of financial markets are extremely changed under some external conditions, do an extensive literature review, and carry out case studies focusing on the 3 major financial crisis events including the 87 October crash, 97 Asian financial crisis, and 2007 global financial crisis. We also empirically examine the phase-shifting behavior of the Korean ELW products that has a similar payoff structure to the KOSPI200 options.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate influences on wives' financial management behavior economic instability and coping behavior of urban household. Economic instability was constructed with an objective economic status and perceived economic instability. And, Financial management behaviors were constructed with four dimensions : investment, income/expenditure, risk, and debt management behavior. The subjects of this study were 225 housewives. Factor analysis, Cronbach ${\alpha}$, and multiple regression were performed for data analysis. The results show that, coping behaviors of searching and using information and perceived economic hardship related to debt influenced housewives' investment management behaviors. The coping behaviors of searching and using information, expending in the range of planned budget, using debt, perceived economic hardship related to debt, income insufficiency, and selective expenditure influenced the consumption-expenditure management behaviors. Perceived economic hardship related to essential expenditures and coping behaviors of searching and using information influenced the risk management behaviors. Coping behaviors of searching and using information, using debts and purchasing and using economically, and perceived economic hardship related to essentials influenced debt management behaviors.

Factors Affecting Beneficiary Satisfaction on Financial Aid Program for Cancer Patients in Korea (암환자 의료비 지원사업 대상자의 만족도 관련 요인)

  • Limited research has investigated the satisfaction of patients with cancer. This study was performed to explore patients' satisfaction and the related factors. The data were collected by telephone survey for the participants who were beneficiaries on the national financial aid program for cancer patients between January and October in 2009. Student's t-tests and analysis of variance were performed first to determine if the mean satisfaction score differed by the characteristics of study objects, followed by stepwise multiple regression analyses to examine the factors affecting satisfaction. When comparing the relating factors with patients' satisfaction according to the sociodemographic characteristics, the male, old-aged, higher educated, lower cancer stage, lung cancer group showed a significantly higher level of recognition for satisfaction. A public health center, better public relations, recognized more helpful, don't have expectation, put a person to expense, and don't feel pressured for medical cost groups were showed a higher level of recognition for satisfaction. The result of the multiple regression analysis, short waiting time, well known program policy, recognized helping of policy and had the financial burden had significantly influence on the satisfaction of patients with cancer.

  • This study analyzed the effects of the NIE (Newspaper in Education) learning method on the financial education of college students, focusing on how financial literacy impacts financial management behavior. For this purpose, college students enrolled in finance courses were divided into two groups: the experimental group, which participated in the NIE program, and the control group, which did not. After implementing the NIE program, independent sample t-tests and multiple regression analyses were conducted. The results of the study are as follows: First, in terms of sub-elements of financial literacy, the financial attitude in the experimental group was higher than in the control group. Second, there was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of financial knowledge and behavior. Third, in the experimental group, financial knowledge had a significant positive effect on financial management behavior. The results of this study confirmed that the NIE learning method is considerably effective in financial education, which is essential for college students to fulfill their role as economic agents leading sound financial lives.

A Study on the Influence of Human Resource Management of Franchise Restaurant Employees on Business Performance (프랜차이즈 요식업 종사자의 인적자원관리가 경영성과에 미치는 영향)

  • This study analyzed the effect of human resource management on the performance of franchise restaurant workers. First, employment management of franchisees did not have statistically significant effect on business performance. Second, evaluation management (p<.05, ${\beta}=1.887$) showed a significant effect on job improvement, but did not affect financial performance significantly. Third, career management (p<.05, ${\beta}=1.715$) was found to have an impact on financial performance, but it did not significantly affect job performance. Fourth, there was a somewhat higher correlation between job improvement and job management (.441), job improvement and evaluation management (.476), p<.01, and financial performance and employment management (.375) (.356), and financial performance and career management (.371) were found to be correlated with p<.05 significance level. This study analyzes the effect of human resources management on the performance of franchise restaurant workers, and finds out the importance of characteristics of factors such as recruitment management, career management, and evaluation management. Research has significance.

The Effect of Cash Flow Variation on Project Performance: An Empirical Study from Kuwait

  • Despite the relationship between cash flow, financial management, and project performance, no study examined the mediating role of financial management on the relationship between cash flow and construction project performance, especially in Kuwait. The goal of this study was to examine the impact of cash flow fluctuations on construction project performance, as well as the role of financial management in mediating this relationship. To accomplish these goals, the researcher employed a descriptive-analytical method to create a questionnaire of 31 items. The study's sample was chosen at random and includes (181) project managers and firm owners from contractors' companies in Kuwait. The study found a statistically positive and significant effect of cash flow variation on project performance from the perspective of Kuwaiti contractors at the significance level (0.05), as well as a mediated role of financial management in the relationship between cash flow variation and project performance. The research came up with a number of recommendations based on the findings, including the need for contractors to have a better understanding of cash flow to arrange project activities correctly and efficiently. Further studies may be included into the effect of cash flow forecasting (planning) and financial management (control) on various construction activities.
