Efficient Mixed Topology Configuration Algorithm for Optical Carrier Ethernet

  • Carrier Ethernet, which extend The algorithm based on constructing the mixed topology and performing link stretching, MT/s, has been proposed for designing cost-efficient Carrier Ethernet in optical network with multi-line-rate. However, the MT/s algorithm has high blocking ratio because the wavelength capacity is fully allocated without considering the load balance of network. In this paper, we propose an efficient mixed topology configuration (EMTC) algorithm by modifying MT/s algorithm. In order to reduce blocking ratio, we adapt a threshold for each link to restrict the link utilization so that traffic load can be distributed over whole network. We also apply the EMTC algorithm into optical hybrid switched network to evaluate the availability of our algorithm for different applications. The performance of the EMTC algorithm is compared with that of MT/s algorithm through OPNET simulation. The simulation results show that our algorithm achieve lower blocking ratio than the MT/s algorithm. Moreover, in hybrid switched network, our algorithm performs better than MT/s algorithm in terms of packet loss ratio and end-to-end delay.

  • This paper presents a 3D carrier-smoothed GNSS/DR (Global Navigation Satellite System/Dead Reckoning) integrated system for precise ground-vehicle trajectory estimation. For precise DR navigation on sloping roads, the AHRS (Attitude Heading Reference System) methodology is employed. By combining the integrated carrier phase of GNSS and DR sensor measurements, a vehicle trajectory with an accuracy of less than 20cm is obtained even when cycle slip or change of visibility occur. In order to supplement the weak GNSS environment with DR successfully, the DR sensor is precisely compensated for using GNSS Doppler measurements when GNSS visibility is good. By integrating a multi-GNSS receiver with low-cost IMU, a precise 3D navigation system for land vehicles is proposed in this paper. For real-time implementation, a decoupled Kalman filter is employed in the integrated system. Through field experiments, the performance of the proposed system is verified in various road environments, including sloping roads, good-visibility areas, high multi-path areas, and under-ground parking areas.

  • A new kind of oxygen carrier material is tested for chemical-looping combustion. NiO, CoO, $Fe_2O_3$ is chosen as metal oxide and YSZ as a binder. Hydrogen fuel is reacted with metal oxide (reduction of metal oxide) and then the reduced metal is successively oxidized by air. Dissolution method is examined to prepare the oxygen carriers. The effects of reaction temperature are measured by a TGA, mechanical strength and regenerability after 10 cycle are examined. $Fe_2O_3/YSZ$ oxygen carrier is bested in mechanical strength and we consider that NiO/YSZ after 3rd cycle are good oxygen carrier in according to reactor design.

DYNAMIC CHARGE CARRIER TRANSPORT BEHAVIORS IN ZIRCONIUM OXIDE FOR NUCLEAR CLADDING MATERIALS

  • Dynamic charge carrier transport behavior in the zirconium (Zr) oxide was investigated based on the frequency-dependent capacitance-voltage (C-V) and temperature-dependent current-voltage (I-V) measurements. The Zr oxide was formed on the ZIRLO and newly developed zirconium-based alloy (NDZ) by corrosion in the PWR-simulated loop at 360℃. The corrosion test for 90 days showed that the NDZ exhibits better corrosion resistance than ZIRLO alloy. Based on the C-V measurement, dielectric constant values for the Zr oxide was estimated to be 11.28 and 11.52 for the ZIRLO and NDZ. The capacitance difference between low and high frequency was larger in the ZIRLO than in the NDZ, which was attributed to more mobile electrical charge carriers in the oxide layer on the ZIRLO alloy. The current through the oxide layers on the ZIRLO increased more drastically with increasing temperature than on the NDZ, which indicating that more charge trap sites exist in the ZIRLO than in NDZ. Based on the dynamic charge carrier transport behavior, it was concluded that the electrical charge carrier transport within the oxide layers was closely related with the corrosion behavior of the Zr alloys.

  • This paper proposes an impulse response shortening algorithm applicable to decision feedback equalization of single carrier wideband signal. When he impulse response shortening methods for narrowband signaling are applied to single carrier wideband signals, they result in noise enhancement problem, significantly deterioriting the receiver performance. This problem can be alleviated by educing the eigenvalue spread ratio of the impulse response, which can be achieved by adding additive white noise with small variance to the impulse response of the channel. The performance of the proposed scheme is verified by computer simulation.

  • A multipath mitigation method using the fault detection and isolation technique is proposed for the CDGPS. The base station is assumed to be immune to the effect of the multipath. With this reasonable assumption, the effect of multipath in moving station is mitigated. For that, the double difference measurement is produced, and then another additional difference between code pseudorange and acclumulated carrier phase is calculated. The test statistic is constituted with those differences. The hypothesis testing is applied to that test statistic. The proposed test statistic makes use of the effect of multipath in code pseudoranges and it does not use time differences. Therefore the detection ability for multipath is improved in most environments. However, the increased number of differences makes the measurement noises larger. The performance of the method is compared with that of the conventional parity space method with code pseudorange.

  • This work puts forward a theoretical analysis on position estimation performance of interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) according to the injection frequency in carrier-based sensorless operation. The effects of spatial harmonics on inductance and voltage distortion due to the nonideal characteristics of IPMSM and inverter are examined as factors influencing the position estimation performance. Furthermore, the position estimation performance is analyzed by calculating the current at the switching instant in several operating conditions. In summary, the half switching frequency injection is more robust to the nonideal characteristics of IPMSM, especially with light load condition. The validity of the analysis is verified by the simulation and experimental results.

  • In this paper, an improved modulated carrier control for a single-phase shunt active power filter(SAPF), which eliminates harmonic currents at the ac main drawn by nonlinear loads, is introduced. In contrast to conventional methods, since this control method does not need to generate a current reference for SAPF, only the ac main current is sensed instead of the load current and SAPF current. With the proposed control method, the ac main current is directly controlled to be sinusoidal and in phase with the supplied ac voltage by simply comparing the modulated carrier signal with the ac main current. The operation of the proposed SAPF is analyzed and simulation results verify its performance.

  • 본 논문은 IEEE802.11n 시스템의 반송파 주파수 옵셋 추정 알고리즘을 제안한다. IEEE802.11n 시스템은 다중 송수신 안테나 시스템이므로 종래의 단일 송수신 안테나 시스템에 적용되는 알고리즘과는 다르게 다중 수신부에서 적용 가능한 결합 기법을 고려하여 적용하여야 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 IEEE802.11n 과 같은 다중 수신 안테나 시스템에서 적용 가능한 수신기 결합 구조의 반송파 주파수 옵셋 추정 알고리즘을 제안하고, 제안하는 선택적 결합 반송파 주파수 옵셋 추정 알고리즘이 종래의 알고리즘보다 SNR 10dB에서 채널 B 인 경우에 1/10, 채널 D 인 경우에 1/2 의 MSE 오류로 추정이 가능함을 확인하였다.

몬트리올 협약을 수용한 한국의 국내 입법상 항공운송인의 책임제도 (The Liability Regime of the Air Carrier under the National Legislation of Korea by Adopting the Montreal Convention)

  • 국제항공운송에 관한 규칙의 통일을 위한 바르샤바 협약이 1929년에 채택되었다. 1999년에 국제민간항공기구(ICAO)는 항공사법의 통일을 광범위하게 현대화하는 국제항공운송을 위한 규칙의 통일을 위한 몬트리올 협약을 채택하였다. 몬트리올 협약은 바르샤바 체제 조약 문서를 대체하였으며, 2003년 11월 4일 발효되었다. 몬트리올 협약은 다만 국제협약일 뿐만 아니라, 또한 국내입법에 상당한 영향을 주었다. 한국은 2011년 4월 29일 상법 제6편 항공운송편의 국내 입법을 하였으며, 2011년 11월 24일 발효되었다. 한국 상법 제6편 항공운송편의 국내 입법은 여객에게 생긴 손해에 대한 책임, 수하물에 생긴 손해에 대한 책임, 화물에 생긴 손해에 대한 책임에 관한 규정들을 두고 있다. 몬트리올 협약상 항공운송인의 책임제도의 주요특징은 100,000 특별인출권(SDR)까지 절대책임을 지는 여객의 사망 또는 상해에 대한 2단계 책임제도이며, 그 절대책임액 이상은 아무런 제한없이 반대의 입증부담을 지는 추정적 책임이다. 한국 상법 제6편 항공운송편의 국내 입법은 몬트리올 협약상 항공운송인의 주요책임원칙을 수용하고 있다. 결론적으로, 한국 정부에 의한 항공운송인의 책임에 관한 국내입법은 여객, 수하물 및 화물의 항공운송에 대한 운송인의 책임에 관한 분쟁을 효과적으로 해결하고, 동법이 규정하는 방어와 책임제한에 따라 손해를 입은 여객 또는 송하인에게 적절한 보상을 제공하는데 기여할 것이다.
