제주도 송이를 사용한 콘크리트의 NO$_{X}$ 제거 효율에 관한 실험적 연구

  • 본 연구에서는 제주송이를 사용한 광촉매 콘크리트의 질소산화물(NO$_{X}$)의 제거 특성에 대하여 연구한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 제주 송이와 황토를 사용한 광촉매콘크리트는 28일 압축강도가 35MPa이상 발휘하는 배합비로 제조되었고, 디자인이 충분히 건자재로 사용될 수 있음을 알았다. 둘째, 송이 표면의 다공성구조로 인해 높은 비표면적과세공구조가 NO$_{X}$의 흡착 속도를 높이는 것으로 판단된다. 셋째, 자동차 배기가스 등의 대기오염이 심한 주차장 및 터널 등에 본 연구의 광촉매 콘크리트를 적용하면 NO$_{X}$를 효율적으로 제거 할 수 있을 것으로 예상된다.

Nitrogen and Phosphorus Removal Characteristics of a New Biological Nutrient Removal Process with Pre-Denitrification by Pilot Scale and Computer Simulation Program (선단무산소조를 이용한 영양소제거공정(Bio-NET)의 질소·인 제거 특성)

  • This study is to investigate the performance of a new BNR process using predenitrification scheme focusing on nitrogen removal and the possibility of adapting a computer simulation scheme in BNR process development. By using a pre-denitrification basin, higher $COD/NO_3-N$ ratio could be sustained in this BNR process. The results of the investigation showed a SDNR value of 9.04mg/gMv/hr. In the anoxic tank, the average value of SPRR of 6.25mgP/gMv/hr was observed to be very sensitive to SCOD load of influents. By calibrating internal parameters (stoichiometric and kinetic parameters) of the simulation model, the results of simulation for various BNR processes gave good agreement with observed data. The major adjustment was given with three parameters, maximum specific growth rate of heterotrophic biomass, short chain fatty acid (SCFA) limit, and phosphorous release rate. With the series of simulations on varying operational conditions, the simulation by computer program can be a useful tool for process selection, and design and operation of municipal wastewater treatment plant.

Development of Bacteria for Removal of the Nitrogen in Wastewater (하ㆍ폐수 고도처리를 위한 다기능의 질소원 분해능 균주의 분리)

  • Ninety strains of photosynthetic bacteria were isolated from a local stream at Kyonggi-do, Korea and were further screened. Using these isolated strains, experiments were performed under various light and oxygen conditions in order to select strains with high nitrogen $(NH_3-N,\; NO_3^--N)$ removal efficiencies. Results showed that all the strains screened removed $NH_3-N$, the light had no effect on nitrogen removal, and the nitrogen removal rate was higher aerobically than anaerobically. The removal of $NO_3^--N$ was showed up to 35.3% in some specific strains. Results of batch experiments using Rhodocyclus gelatinosus, an isolated strain with a superior removal rate of $NH_3--N$ and $NH_3-N$, under the anaerobic condition, showed that the removal rate of organics and $NH_3-N$ was the highest (98.2 and 89.0%, respectively) at the CODcr (mg/L)/biomass (mg/L) ratio of 0.2, and the $NH_3-N$ concentration did not increase with the decreasing $NH_3-N$ concentration. Experimental results from various C/N ratios confirmed that the effective removal rate (75.8%) of $NH_3-N$ occurred even at the low (5:1) C/N ratio as well as high ratios, and the simulataneous removal of $NO_3^--N$ (96.0%).

Autotrophic Nitrite Denitrification Using Sulfur Particles for Treatment of Wastewaters with Low C/N Ratios (Batch Tests) (C/N비가 낮은 하.폐수에서 황입자를 이용한 아질산성질소 탈질 연구(회분식 실험))

  • A sulfur utilizing nitrite denitrification process could be placed after the shortcut biological nitrogen removal (SBNR) process. In this study, removal of nitrite using sulfur oxidizing denitrifier was characterized in batch tests with granular elemental sulfur as an electron donor and nitrite as an electro acceptor. At sufficient alkalinity, initial nitrite nitrogen concentration of 100 mg/L was almost completely reduced in the batch reactor within a incubation time of 22 h. Sulfate production with nitrite was 4.8 g ${SO_4}^{2-}/g$ ${NO_2}^-$-N, while with nitrate 13.5 g ${SO_4}^{2-}/g$ ${NO_3}^-$-N. Under the conditions of low alkalinity, nitrite removal was over 95% but 15 h of a lag phase was shown. For nitrate with low alkalinity, no denitrification occurred. Sulfate production was 2.6 g ${SO_4}^{2-}/g$ ${NO_2}^-$-N and alkalinity consumption was 1.2 g $CaCO_3/g$ ${NO_2}^-$. The concentration range of organics used in this experiment did not inhibit autotrophic denitrification at both low and high alkalinity. This kind of method may solve the problems of autotrophic nitrate denitrification, i.e. high sulfate production and alkalinity deficiency, to some extent.

  • Ion exchange performence to remove nitrate in water studied using commercially available strong vase anin exchange resin of $Cl^{-}$ type in the batch reactors. Anion exchange resin was more effective than activated carbon or zeolite. With large resin amount or high temperature or low initial concentration, nitrate removal characteristics for a typical gel-type resin was increased. The curves showed the generally accepted selectivity sequence as ${SO_4}^{2-}>{No_3}^->NO_{2-}>{HCO_3}^-$.

Change of Nutrients and Behaviour of Total Coliforms in the Natural Treatment of Wastewater by Subsurface Flow Wetland System (인공습지를 이용한 자연정화 오수처리시설에서 영양물질의 변화와 대장균군의 행동)

  • The constructed wetland system which is applicable to rural wastewater treatment was examined by pilot plant experiment. Removal rates of nutrients including nitrogen and phosphorus and total coliform were evaluated. The $NH_4\;^+$ concentration of the influent was in the range of 91.57 to 275.88mg/l and the effluent concentration was about 40% lower than the influent. The decreasing of the $NH_4\;^+$ concentration might be due to volatilization, plant uptake, adsorption onto soil particles, and mainly nitrification. However, generally concentrations of $NO_2\;^-$ and $NO_3\;^-$ were increased in the effluents compared to the influent concentrations, which implies that nitrogen components in the system were nitrified. Overall, the average removal rate of the nitrogen was about 5% which seems inadequate as a wastewater treatment system, and this system needs improvement on nitrogen removal mechamism. The removal rate of the phosphorus was quite high and effluent concentration was very low. Reason for high removal rate of the phosphorus might be mainly strong adsorption characteristic onto soil particles. The average removal rate of the total coliforms was about 83%, and main removal mechanisms are thought to be adsorption onto soil and inability to compete against the established soil microflora. From the results of the study, the constructed wetland system needs to be improved in nitrogen removal mechanism for field application.

The Treatment of Night Soil using Bacillus sp. (Bacillus sp.를 이용한 분뇨처리)

  • To study the characteristics of organic and nutrient removal by Bacillus species at high COD concentration of influent, three lab-scale batch reactors(R1, R2, R3), each of which has different substrate composition, were operated. More than 95% of $NH_4^+$-N and $COD_{cr}$, concentrations were removed under an aerobic condition, and their removal efficiencies were found to be 22.6 and 90.5%(R1), 23.9 and 65.8%(R2), 30.2 and 86.4%(R3), respectively. The removal efficiency of $NH_4^+$-N was high when an enough amount of $NO_3^{-}$-N was supplied, and that of $COD_{cr}$. was low when a high concentration of initial $NO_2^{-}$-N was added. The amount of carbon utilized in denitrification was a little. In all reactors,$NO_3^{-}$-N was removed under an anoxic condition, but in the R3 reactor, 10% of $NO_3^{-}$-N could be removed even undo, an aerobic condition. The removal efficiencies of TN and TP were 41.8 and 49.5%(R1), 40.1 and 35.8%(R2), 47.0 and 57.6%(R3), respectively. Alkalinities destructed under an aerobic condition for each reactor were 4.96, 5.41 and 3.93 mg/L (as $CaCO_3$) per each gram of $NH_4^+$-N oxidized, respectively, while 3.06, 3.17 and 2.60 mg/L (as $CaCO_3$) of alkalinities were produced for each gram of ,$NO_3^{-}$-N reduced to $N_2$. The SOUR were found to be 38.5, 52.7 and 42.0 mg $O_2$/g MLSS/hr, which indicated that Bacillus sp. had a higher cell activity than activated sludge. The OLR and sludge production were estimated to be 0.69 and 0.28(Rl), 0.77 and 0.20(R2), 0.61 kg COD/$m^3$/day and 0.25 kg MLSS/kg COD(R3), respectively. From the N-balance, the highest percentage(40.9%) of nitrogen lost to $N_2$ was obtained in the R3 reactor. From all the results, the possibility of aerobic denitrification Bacillus sp. has been shown and the B3 process seemed to have two advantages: a little amount of carbon was required in denitrification and not much amount of alkalinity was destructed under an aerobic condition.

나노크기 미세철입자를 이용한 지하수중의 NO3-고속탈질처리에 관한 연구

  • 최근 들어 국외에서는 오염된 지하수의 정화기술로써 0가 금속을 이용한 방법이 높은 잠재력을 가진 신기술로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 0가 금속중 나노크기(1-100nm)를 가진 0가 철입자를 이용하여 수중의 NO$_3$ ̄를 탈질처리하는 실험을 행하였다. 본 실험에서 제조한 나노크기 0가 철입자는 상온상압의 환원적 조건에서 50, 100, 200, 400mg/$\ell$의 NO$_3$ ̄와 반응하여 반응시간 30분안에 95%이상 제거되는 높은 반응성을 보여주었다. 기존의 상업용 철입자(10-100$\mu\textrm{m}$)를 이용한 NO$_3$ ̄의 제거결과에서 보여주는 다량의 철사용, 낮은 적용 오염농도, 그리고 낮은 반응속도등의 문제점에 비하여 나노크기 철 입자는 높은 오염농도범위에서도 적은 철 주입량과 짧은 반응시간 내에 매우 높은 제거효율(10-100배)을 나타내었다. 이러한 결과로 수중의 NO$_3$ ̄의 고속 탈질반응속도에 영향을 주는 중요한 변수는 반응에 참여하는 철 입자의 비표면적임을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구에서 얻은 batch실험 결과를 바탕으로 NO$_3$ ̄로 오염된 지하수의 정화를 위한 현장 적용을 목표로 연속처리 공정의 설계를 위한 토대를 마련하고자 하였다.

Synergy Effect of Fe/ZSM-5 and Co-Pt/ZSM-5 for NOx removal (NOx제거를 위한 Fe/ZSM-5와 Co-Pt/ZSM-5의 상승 효과)

  • In the condition of GHSV=$30000\;hr^{-1}$, $NO_x$ removal yield was higher as mole ratio of $SiO_2/Al_2O_3$ for Fe/ZSM-5 was lower regardless of preparation method such as CVD (chemical vapor deposition) and dry impregnation. In addition to this, Fe/ZSM-5 catalyst showed about 50% $NO_x$ removal yield between $350^{\circ}C$ - $400^{\circ}C$ while CO formed significantly. To remove newly formed CO over Fe/ZSM-5, Co-Pt/ZSM-5 was used in conjunction with Fe/ZSM-5 in the series and this demonstrated over 90% removal yield of both NOx and CO at $250^{\circ}C$ and GHSV=$30000\;hr^{-1}$.

Performance Improvement Analysis of DS-CDMA Systems Employing a Partial Multistage Interference Canceller with Timing and Phase Errors (칩 동기 에러와 위상 에러가 존재하는 환경에서 부분 다단 간섭제거기를 채용하는 DS-CDMA 시스템의 성능 개선 분석)

  • 본 논문에서는 불완전 동기(Imperfect Synchronization)로 인한 칩 동기 에러(timing errors)와 위상 에러(phase errors)를 고려 하여 비동기(Asynchronous) DS-CDMA 시스템의 성능을 이론적으로 분석하였다. 성능 개선 기법으로는 다단 간섭제거기 (Multistage PIC)와 부분 다단 간섭제거기(Partial Multistage PIC)를 채용하였고 칩 동기 에러와 위상 에러가 두 간섭제거기의 간섭제거능력에 미치는 영향의 정도를 정량적으로 분석하였다. 성능분석 결과로부터 칩 동기 에러와 위상 에러로 인한 1단(no cancellation)에서의 성능 열화가 각 단의 상관기 출력(decision statistic)에 영향을 줌으로써 다단 간섭제거기와 부분 다단 간섭제거기의 성능 개선폭을 감소시켰다. 그렇지만, 불완전 동기에도 불구하고 단(stage) 수가 증가할수록 두 간섭제거기 모두 강한 간섭제거능력을 보였다. 실제 시스템에서는 성능 개선과 구현상의 복잡도를 동시에 고려해야하므로 다단 간섭제거기 보다 구조가 간단하고 계산량이 적은 부분 다단 간섭제거기의 활용도가 높아질 것이 예상된다.
