  • The structure and reactivity of isophorone diisocyanate, which is used as a curing agent in propellants casting, were investigated using the EHT, CNDO/2 and STO-3G MO methods. The results showed that the reactivity can be assessed by the positive charge on C atom of -NCO group. The structure of this compound was found to be such that it has slow polymerization rate but provides homogenous matrix for explosives.

  • Rubber-modified polyurethane resin which was prepolymer type terminated with NCO, was synthesized by reacting isocyanate groups[NCO] and hydroxyl groups[OH]. Polybutadiene rubbers which had OH groups in the side of rubber chains, were charged at ratio $0%{\sim}40%$ of solid component in reactants. For products, physical properties were investigated experimentally. The results abtained in experiment were as follows. 1. Liquid resin and dried film was good solubility and clearity at less than 25%, 20% of rubber without being related to sort. 2. G-1000 showed better properties than R-45HT in solubility, dring time and adhesive strength. 3. Dring time and adhesive strength were considerably influenced by molecular weigh and structure of rubber. 4. In using 25% of mixed rubber(G-1000/R-45HT=50/50), It represented best properties in dring time(10 minute) and adhesive strength($23Kg/cm^2$).

  • A series of Thermoplastic polyurethane elastomers was prepared via a two-step polymerization process. The NCO/OH feed ratio of polyurethane synthesized in this study was varied from 1 to 1.3. Studies have been made on the effects of chemical and physical cross-linkina, and the properties of thermoplastic polyurethane elastomers based on isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI)/1,4-butanediol (BD)/poly(propylene glycol) (PPG, MW:2000), isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI)/BD /poly(oxytetramethylene) glycol (PTMG, MW:2000) was compared. These materials were characterized using FTIR spectrometer, dynamic mechanical thermal analyzer, and tensile retraction tester. PTMG based polyurethane elastomers showed higher elasomeric behavior than PPG based polyurethane elastomers at the same NCO/OH ratio. This feature has been connected with the specific nature of the polyols. The permanent set(%) was decreased with increasing maximum elongation from 50% to 300%.

  • 본 논문에서는 SDR(Software Defined Radio) 시스템을 위한 Digital IF(Intermediate Frequency) Up/Down 변환기를 설계하고 성능을 평가하였다. 설계한 시스템은 AD 변환부, DA 변환부 및 Up-Down conversion 기능을 수행하는 FPGA로 구성된다. AD 변환부는 Analog Device 사의 AD6645를 사용하였으며, DA 변환부는 Analog Device 사의 AD9775를 사용하였다. Up-Down conversion 기능을 수행하는 FPGA부는 샘플된 IF 입력을 혼합기와 NCO에 의해 기저대역(DC)으로 다운 시키는 역할을 하며, 14bit의 기저대역(DC) 신호를 혼합기와 NCO에 의해 IF 출력으로 올려주는 역할을 한다. 이러한 설계는 기존의 아날로그 헤테로다인 방식에 비하여 높은 유연성 및 우수한 성능 향상을 보여준다.

  • The purpose of this study is to estabilish the synthetic condition of polyurhethane elastomer for excellent properties. Polyurethane elastomer which have different NCO percentage and hard segment contents was synthesized by casting method. And the effects of hard segment contents were investigated by analytical methods such as IR, DSC, etc. [NCO]/[OH] ratio was proper at the range $1.02{\sim}1.05$. By IR absorption peak($1250cm^{-1}$) which indicate interurethane hydrogen bond it was confirmed that hard segment were crystallized. Melting point that was determined by DSC showed the effects of hard segment contents, phase mixing and crystalline size.

Spacing Effect of the Intervening Sequences between Ribosome Binding Site and the Initiation Codon on Expression of Bacillus thuringiensis $\delta$-Endotoxin

  • To verify importance of the intervening sequence between the ribosome binding site (RBS) and the initiation codon for expression of Bacillus thuringiensis $\delta$-endotoxin, the pProMu, containing SphI and NcoIsites between RBS and the initiation codon of the cry1Ac gene, and the deletion derivatives of pProMu were constructed and transformed into the B. thuringiensis subsp. kurstaki $Cry^{-B}$ strain. The pProMu-ΔSphIhad identical six bases of intervening sequence to pProAc though the arrangement of sequence was different. Other mutants containing pProMu had 1 or 10 or 14 bases between RBS and the initiation codon. Among deletion mutants, only ProMu-ΔSphI/CB only produced 130 kDa typical bipyramidal crystals like those seen for ProAc/CB. However, ProMu/CB, $ProMu-{\Delta}NcoI$, and ProMu-ΔSphI+NcoIdid not produce Cry1Ac crystals. In conclusion, the results suggest that 6-base intervening sequence was important for expression of cry1-type class gene. Furthermore, spacing effect of the intervening sequences may play an important role in expression of individual crystal proteins in B. thuringiensis without doubt.

Enhancement of FMIPv6 using Tentative and Early Binding Update to Home Agent (홈에이전트로의 빠른 바인딩 갱신 방법을 통한 FMIPv6 핸드오버 개선 방안)

  • In Mobile IPv6, a handover latency is an important issue. To reduce the handover latency, mipshop working group in IETF has studied the fast handover(FMIPv6) which creates and verifies a new care-of address(NCoA) in advance before a layer 2 handover resulting in reduced handover latency. Even in FMIPv6, the NCoA must be registered in a home agent(HA). This registration still creates a significant amount of delay. To reduce registration latency, we propose a tentative and early binding update(TEBU) scheme that the NCoA is registered in the HA in advance during the layer 2 handover based on FMIPv6. We use cost analysis for the performance evaluation. As a result, we found that the TEBU scheme guarantees lower handover latency than FMIPv6 as much as approximately 21%.

  • The future battlefield environment has changed platform centric warfare into a network centric warfare. The NCO is a operational concept to improve combat power through information sharing, shared situational awareness, decision making and synchronized action based on powerful network grid. In addition, these operational environment is composed of physical, information, cognitive and social domains. The platform environment system is associated with the OSI 7 layer. However, OSI 7 layer is limited to express NCW environment including cognitive and social domains. Therefore, we requires a new model for expressing cognitive and social domains. After we developed a new model, this model applied to the NCW architecture taxonomy.
