밀링가공의 절삭조건 검증시스템 개발

  • In this paper, the fast algorithm to calculate cutting force of milling and its application to NC verification system have been studied. The fast force algorithm can calculate the maximum cutting force fastly during one revelotion of tool. The NC verification using the fast force algorithm can verify excessive cutting force which is the cause of deflection and breakage of tool, and can so adjust the feed rate as to manufacture with the maximum force criterion or maximum machining error criterion. So, the fast force algorithm has been added to the NC verification system, the NC verification system can verify the physical problems in NC code effectively.

  • The view dependency of typical spatial-partitioning based NC simulation methods is overcome by polygon rendering technique that generates polygons to represent the workpiece, thus enabling dynamic viewing transformations without reconstruction of the entire data structure. However, the polygon rendering technique still has difficulty in realizing real-time simulation due to unsatisfactory performance of current graphics devices. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a mesh decimation method that enables rapid rendering without loss of display quality. In this paper. we proposed a new mesh decimation algorithm thor a workpiece whose shape varies dynamically. In this algorithm, the 2-map data thor a given workpiece is divided into several regions, and a triangular mesh is constructed for each region first. Then, if any region it cut by the tool, its mesh is regenerated and decimated again. Since the range of mesh decimation is confined to a few regions, the reduced polygons for rendering can be obtained rapidly. Our method enables the polygon-rendering based NC simulation to be applied to the computers equipped with a wider range of graphics cards.

Tool Path Generation for Rough Cutting Using Octree (옥트리를 이용한 황삭 가공경로생성)

  • Rouge cutting process takes the major portion of machining operation using NC milling machine. Especially, most of the machining time is spent in this process when molds are machined. Therefore, an efficient algorithm for generating the tool path for rough cutting is suggested in this paper. The first step of the procedure is getting the volume to be machined by applying the Boolean operation on the finished model and the workpiece which have been modeling system. Basic principle of determining machining procedure is that a large tool should be used at the portion of the simple shape while a small tool should be used at the complex portion. This principle is realized by representing the volume to be machined by an octree, which is basically a set of hexahedrons, and matching the proper tools with the given octants. When the tools are matched with the octants, the tool path can be derived at the same time.

  • STEP-NC 는 기존의 G-code 를 대체할 새로운 CNC 인터페이스 언어로써 현재 밀링 공정에 대해서는 국제 표준 단계에 있으며 조만간 기존의 G-code 를 대체할 것으로 기대된다. 그러므로 국내에서도 CAD-CAM 업체, CNC maker, 공작기계 제작 업체, 사용자 등 생산 환경 전반에 걸쳐 이에 대한 대응이 시급하다. 본 논문에서는 국내에서의 STEP-NC 의 promotion 을 위해 1) STEP-NC data model 을 분석하고, 2) 파트 프로그램의 작성 방법을 자세히 설명하고, 3) STEP AP203 CAD 파일로부터 STEP-NC 파트 프로그램을 생성하는 과정을 Korea STEP-NC 시스템을 통해서 설명하였다.

  • In order to minimize fixing error of workpieces, prismatic and cylindrical types. Modification Rule by Indexing Table and Modification Rule by NC Program are developed for machining centers by using touch trigger probes. The Modification Rule by Indexing Table means the alignment of workpiece to NC program through degree of freedoms of indexing table. The Modification Rule by NC Program is the alignment of NC program to workpiece set-up condition via the generation of NC program. A postprocessing module is also developed for generating NC-part Program (User Macro) to compensate for Machining errors in end milling and boring processes. Developed methods are verified by experiments.

Anodic Properties of Needle Cokes-derived Graphitic Materials in Lithium Secondary Batteries (침상 코크스(needle cokes)로부터 제조된 흑연질 탄소재료의 리튬 2차전지 음극특성)

  • Two needle cokes (NC-A and NC-B) that differ in both the texture and impurity content to each other were graphitized at $2000-3000{\circ}C$, and the average particle size, size distribution and surface area were compared after milling. Their anodic properties in Li secondary batteries were also analyzed. Two materials showed a higher degree of graphitization with an increase in the preparation temperature, however, the NC-B series was less graphitized than NC-A due to the presence of impurities and less ordered mosaic texture. The mein particle size of the milled powder was proportional to the degree of graphitization, but the surface area showed the opposite trend. The highly graphitized materials yielded powders of lower uniformity in the size distribution. The discharge capacity of the resulting carbons steadily decreased in the temperature range of 1000 to $2000^{\circ}C$ due to the depletion of carbonaceous interlayers that contain crystal defects. A later increase in the discharge capacity was observed at $>2000^{\circ}C$, which arises from the formation of graphitic interlayers. The milling process gave rise to a sloping discharge curve at >1.0 V, but this was converted to a plateau at <0.25V after a repeated cycling or additional heat-treatment at $1000^{\circ}C$. The discharge at >1.0V likely comes from the disordered surface structure formed during the milling process. The evolution of a plateau at <0.25 V suggests that this disordered structure transforms to a more ordered graphitic one upon a cell cycling or heat-treatment.

  • A verification of multi-spindles drilling NC data is presented. The drilling of multi-spindles can offer productivity over three times as fast as that of single spindle. The most important things in machining tube sheet are precision of hole position and machining time. The drilling of multi-spindles has difficulties in controlling many motors to drive spindles and assign a correspondent number to each spindles. Multi-spindles drilling has different codes from CNC milling ; many subroutines, assignment of spindle, and so on. The conventional method, which inspects the NC code of the drilling, is to drill holes on a thin plate or tube sheet previously. The method results in low productivity because it consumed long machining time and welding for correction. This paper describes details of multi-spindles NC code and operation of multi-spindles drilling machine. A verification software of the multi-spindles drilling NC code is developed on the details.

  • In this paper, manufacturing system and Internet are combined and NC milling machine engraves image and text on nameplate. Image and text are input through Internet. And NC tool path is obtained by thinning algorithm and NC part program is generated. Thinning algorithm detects center lines from image and text by using connectivity and tool path is obtained along the center line. Actually experiments are performed and thinning algorithm and G-code generation module are verified.
