The loss of offsite power test was successfully performed on YGN 4 to demonstrate that the reactor can be shutdown and the RCS can be maintained in a hot standby condition following a loss of all offsite Alternating Current (AC) power. Following the loss of main generator and all offsite AC power, the ensile emergency diesel generators were automatically started and the plant was stabilized via natural circulation. Plant conditions were maintained in hot standby for at least 30 minutes before offsite power was restored. Thus, the capability of equipment, controls and instrumentation necessary to remove decay heat from the core using only ensile emergency power was demonstrated, thereby satisfying all objectives and acceptance criteria of the test.

본 논문은 인간의 인지적 발달 능력을 고려하여 일반인의 눈높이에 맞는 3D 애니메이션 콘텐츠를 제작하여 환경오염 예방 교육 자료로 활용함으로써 일반인의 환경인식 변화에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. 또한, 본 논문은 3D 가상현실 기법을 사용하여 조선시대 한양의 주거환경 및 자연환경을 재현하는 유적 원형의 디지털 복원 기법을 제시하였다.

The most common conventional method of discovering a drug involves a massive screening of a large number of compounds in chemical libraries or in the extracts from natural sources such as plants or microbial broths followed by chemical modification of one or more active compounds to improve their properties as a drug. When the three-dimensional structure of the target molecule for which the drug is searched is known the drug discovery process can be significantly simplified, This is especially true when the three-dimensional structure of a complex between the target and a lead compound is known. In this lecture our experience on the structure-based drug design for human CDK2(cyclin-dependent protein kinase 2) will be discussed with special emphasis on the strength and weakness of this approach of drug discovery. The regulation of the activity of CDK2 plays an important role in the cell proliferation of normal and cancer cells.

It is necessary first to understand dynamic characteristics of bus full BIW assembly for fatigue endurance analysis. FE model has been used usually for analyzing the dynamic behavior of structures. A lot of experience and effort, however, is necessary to make the credible FE model. Experimental modal analysis of structures has been performed to verify the credibility of initial FE model and to update the model. In this work, experimental modal analysis was performed to understand dynamic characteristics of bus full BIW assembly in free-free boundary condition and the result was used to verify the initial FE model. In addition, some practical techniques, which were used in this experiment, were mentioned.

Modern military equipments are tend to be mounted on a movable truck for their survivability and operation performance. Special units and electronic equipments installed on the truck experience the vibration caused by road roughness during their transport. The level of the transportation vibration is affected by both road conditions and vehicle speeds. In this paper, various experiments on the vibration characteristics of the equipment are carried out via road tests. Transportation vibration is also investigated by numerical analysis using FEM, and natural frequencies and random responses of the launcher are obtained. The PSD and RMS values of acceleration of the equipment are predicted and compared with test results.

Currently, there are various sounds in the urban surrounding environment such as natural, human, mechanical or sound, etc., and these urban environmental sounds remain in several memories according to magnitude, repetition, learning and experience of sounds. However, there are limitations in memorizing these environmental sounds, thus they are forgotten or reminded, or replaced with new ones from time to time. This study was attempted to look into the changes of the memory of noisiness annoyance and sharpness of the suggested sound sources with urban environmental sounds as time goes by and the order of memorization of the sound sources.

In this study, the Korean alternative school teachers' perceptions of ecocentric environmental education were surveyed. A total of 80 teachers from 42 alternative schools across the nation answered to the survey. The results were as follows. Teachers were found to have a lot of interest in environmental issues and to practice some environmental actions inside and outside school. Over sixty percent teachers agreed with the ecocentric philosophy of environmental education. The most two important issues among 11 environmental education contents for teachers were "natural environment" and "environmental ethics". Teachers used and preferred "field work" for teaching environmental issues, and got teaching materials mostly from the internet. However, many of them were not satisfied with environmental activity in their schools because of their lack of professionalism. They had not enough experience of professional development for environmental education, and strongly wanted to learn about field work.

The contraception practice rate in Korea has steadily increased from 9% in 1964 to 72% in 1987. Accordingly, natural increase rate of population declined from 28.4 per 1,000 in 1964 to 12.4 per 1,000 in 1987. Notably in recent years, the acceptance of surgical contraception services has sharply increased in this country. Now the author analyzes various factors influencing successful vasectomy and vasovasostomy based on his experience in performing more than 8,000 vasectomies and 1,000 vasovasostomies during the past 25 years. These various factors consist of preoperative screening interview, surgical vasectomy technique, vas irrigation technique, open-ended vasectomy, complications from vasectomy, sperm granuloma formation, spermatogenesis and steroidogenesis after vasectomy, immunological consequences after vasectomy, prostatic diseases and vasectomy, late post-vasectomy syndrome, psychological effects after vasectomy, and success rates of vasovasostomy. Besides, the author makes more comments on the results of the clinical trials on new approaches to reversible vas occlusion technique with a new device of Intravasal Thread and to reversible suppression of spermatogenesis with long-acting sex hormones.

Recently, owing to the deterioration of reconstruction and the construction, much of the construction waste is discharged in our construction field, and the amount of construction waste are rapidly increased. These waste are raised to financial and environmental problems, so the method of reusing waste concretes has been studied and carried out many direction. Especially being want of resources, if waste concrete could be recycled as aggregate for concrete, it will contribute to solve the exhaustion of natural aggregate, in terms of saving resources and protecting environment. This study is that the floating properties of concrete with recycled coarse aggregate were investigated for the substitution of recycled coarse aggregate. The result of this study, in case of water reducing, the property of harden concrete for the substitution ratio of recycled coarse aggregate was increased. The Quality of recycled coarse aggregate concrete was improved by water reducing.
