  • This paper describes the implementation of autonomy in the motion of a small size human robot. Traditional modeling of environment and concept of moving planning have limitations to adapt the change of environment and to implement in real-time operation. To overcome these limitations, we designed a behavior-based control algorithm and applied to robot soccer. Based on experiment, we verify that the behavior-based control algorithm works well in the change of environment.

  • Abdominal organs are the most vulnerable body parts under vehicle trauma, and there is high mortality from acute injuries in accidents. There are various ways to reduce this high mortality; one method is Resuscitative Endovascular Balloon Occlusion of the Aorta, which has recently become very popular as a minimally invasive alternative in the emergent management of patients with non-compressible hemorrhages below the diaphragm. However, high safety factor for patients is applied in actual clinical practice because there is no exact standard for the operating time. Therefore, in this study, the effects of the mechanical behavior of organ tissues for the duodenum, kidney, and liver on the operating time of Resuscitative Endovascular Balloon Occlusion of the Aorta is investigated in order to obtain data needed to establish standards of operating time. In characteristic analysis of organ tissues, uniaxial tensile test and compression test are conducted according to the operating time.

  • The properties of uncured rubber compound and swelling behavior of cured rubber compound with carbon black(N33O grade) increment. Bound Rubber content(BRC) increased according to carbon black increment and ${\alpha}_f$, behavior of uncured rubber compound filled with carbon black, was 1.46. Carbon black added to rubber compound showed behavior of spherical particle by bound rubber. The $C_1$ values of cured rubber compounds, which measured by the stress-strain method of Mooney-Rivlin, increased with carbon black increment.

  • Recently, the NAT middlebox widely deployed in the home network environment prohibits DM operations from reaching user devices behind NAT. In this article, we focus on NAT issues to manage home network devices. Particularly, we discuss standardization efforts, and present our proposal to deploy DM services for VoIP and IPTV devices under NAT. By slightly changing behaviors of Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) Manager and Agent, and defining additional Management Objects (MOs) to gather NAT binding information, we could solve the NAT traversal problem under symmetric NAT. Moreover, we propose an enhanced method to search the UDP hole binding time of the NAT box. We applied our method to randomly selected 22 VoIP devices out of 194 NATed hosts in the real broadband network and have achieved 99% of the success ratio for exchanging SNMP request messages and 26% of enhancement for searching the UDP hole binding time.

  • In this paper we analyzed the electromagnetic behavior of high $-T_{c}$ superconductor under the quench state using finite element method. Poisson equation was used in finite element analysis as a governing equation and was solved using algebra equation using Gallerkin method. We first investigate d the electromagnetic behavior of U-type superconductor. Finally we applied our analysis techniques to 5.5 kVA meander-line superconducting fault current limiters (SFCL) which are currently developed by many power-system researcher in the world. Meshes of 14,600 elements were used in analysis of this SFCL. Analysis results show that the distribution of current density was concentrated to inner curvature in meander-line type-superconductors and maximum current density 14.61 $A/\m^2$ and also maximum Joule heat was 6,420 W/㎥. We concluded that this meander line-type SFCL was not pertinet fur uniform electromagnetic field distribution.n.

  • Curing behavior and glass transition temperatures of epoxy resins into which reactive diluents were added to control processability were investigated. Heat of cure generated of the epoxy resin was reduced with butyl glycidyl ether(BGE) and phenyl glycidyl ether(PGE) contents. $T_g$ of the resin was decreased with the amount of reactive diluents and it was attributed to increased molecular weight between crosslink points. Cure kinetics of the resins was studied employing autocatalytic reaction model and found that reaction constants decreased as the contents of reactive diluent was increased.

  • In this study MD simulations have been performed to observe the behavior of a grain boundary in an a-Fe plate under 2-dimensional loading. In MD simulation the acceleration of every molecule can be achieved from the potential energy and the force interacting between each molecule and the integration of the motion equation by using Verlet method gives the displacement of each molecule. Initially four a-Fe rectangular plates having different misorientation angles of grain boundary were modeled by using the Johnson potential and Morse potential We compared the potential energy of the grain boundary system with that of the perfect structure model. Also we could obtain the width of the grain boundary by investigating the local potential energy distribution. The tensile loading for each grain boundary models was applied and the behavior of grin boundary was studied. From this study it was clarified that in the case using Johnson potential the obvious fracture mechanism occurs along the grain boundary in the case of Morse potential the diffusion of the grain boundary appears instead of the grain boundary fracture.
