Generally, there is no sorting algorithm much faster than O(nlogn). The quicksort has a best performance O(nlogn) in best and average-case, and $O(n^2)$ in worst-case. This paper suggests virtual radix counting bucket sort such that counting the frequency of numbers in each radix digit, and moves the arbitrary number to proper virtual bucket in the array, and divides the array into radix digit numbers virtually. Also, this algorithm moves the data to proper location within an array for using the minimum auxiliary memory. This algorithm performs k-times such that the number of k digits in given data and the time complexity is O(n). Therefore, this algorithm has a O(kn) time complexity.

Purpose: This is a report on the outcomes associated with a consecutive series of 1,000 cementless hip arthroplasties utilizing the $Bencox^{(R)}$ hip stem-the first Korean-developed hip prosthesis. Materials and Methods: A consecutive series of 1,000 hip arthroplasties using the $Bencox^{(R)}$ hip stem were analyzed, starting from its initial release (September 2006) until June 2014. Patients in this consecutive series underwent surgery for fractures (n=552), arthritis (n=155), avascular necrosis (n=209), and revisions (n=84). Of these 1,000 cases, patients with a minimum follow-up of at least 1 year (n=616) were retrospectively analyzed for radiographic and clinical outcomes (i.e., Harris hip score). The stability of the prosthesis was evaluated by examining subsidence. Results: During the follow-up period (mean follow-up period of 54.8 months), there were 2 cases requiring revision of the femoral stem-both were caused by periprosthetic fractures and neither involved stem loosening. The mean Harris hip score during follow-up was 95.5. Bone ongrowth occurred in 95% of patients; no cases of subsidence or aseptic loosening of the stem were detected, and no cases of postoperative complications such as ceramic breakage were observed. Conclusion: Clinical and radiographic evaluations of hip arthroplasty using the $Bencox^{(R)}$ hip stem revealed excellent outcomes with an average of 54.8 month follow-up in a consecutive series of 1,000 cases.
Objectives: Pedestrian traffic injuries have been an important cause of childhood mortality and morbidity for decades. The aim of this study was to describe the epidemiological characteristics of child pedestrian traffic injuries that occurred during 2000 in one metropolitan city and its school-zones, and to determine the factors associated with those accidents. Methods: A cross-sectional study was performed in 2001. Police records were used to identify the cases of pedestrian injury. Children aged between 6 and 15 years, injured during road walking, were included in this study. A direct survey of the environmental factors within the school-zones in study area (n=116) was also performed. Self-administered questionnaires, via mail and telephone surveys, were used to assess the safety education programmes. The schools were divided into two groups according to the occurrence of pedestrian traffic injuries in their school-zone. Results: Pedestrian injuries (n=597) were found to account for 3.2% of all traffic injuries in the subject area. The epidemiological characteristics were not significantly different between genders. There were some significant risk factors within the environmental factors, such as local road (OR: 2.3, 95% CI=1.05-5.35), heavy traffic volume (OR: 2.2, 95% CI=1.00-5.04), poor visibility of speed-limit signs (OR: 2.8, 95% CI=1.25-6.42), no separation of pedestrian routes from cars (OR: 2.6, 95% CI=1.02-6.75) and barriers on the pedestrian routes (OR: 2.2, 95% CI=1.01-5.08). Only one factor, that of education in a safety-park (OR: 0.3, 95% CI=0.09-0.96), was significantly associated in the traffic and pedestrian safety education factors. Conclusion: Significant associations with pedestrian injury risk were identified in some of the modifiable environmental factors than in the educational factors.
In this study, GPS surveying at bench marks in Cheju Island and with these data, calculate GPS/Levelling geoid in Cheju area. And compare this geoid with PNU95 Geoid. The results are as follows : 1. The ellipsoidal height of each bench mark was measured ${\pm}3cm$ with accuracy in GPS surveying. 2. Calculated CPS/Levelling Geoid well represents the variations of Cheju terrain. The correlation formula between the geoid and elevation above sea level in Cheju area is as fellow : $$N\;=\;0.001082\;{\times}\;h\;+\;25.458\;{\pm}\;0.227\;s.d.$$ 3. Calculated GPS/Levelling Geoid and PNU95 Geoid are welt fitted and the RMS difference between the two Geoids is 0.14 m.

[Purpose] This study aimed to analyze the prevalence of hypertension according to the body mass index (BMI) and relative handgrip strength (RHGS) among elderly individuals in Korea. [Methods] We analyzed the data of 44,183 Korean elderly individuals over 65 years old (men: n = 15,798, age = 73.31 ± 5.04 years, women: n = 28,385, age = 72.14 ± 5.04 years) obtained from the Korean National Fitness Assessment in 2019. All the participants were categorized into three groups according to the BMI and RHGS; additionally, one-way ANOVA and logistic regression analysis were performed. [Results] Overweight (men: 1.16 odds ratio [OR] 1.06-1.26, 95% confidence interval [CI]; women: 1.15 OR, 1.07-1.23 95% CI) and obese (men: 1.54 OR, 1.42-1.66 95% CI; women: 1.44 OR, 1.36-1.53 95% CI) elderly individuals showed a higher prevalence of hypertension than elderly individuals with normal weight, after controlling for age. In men, a lower RHGS was associated with a higher prevalence of hypertension after controlling for age (weak RHGS: 1.09 OR, 1.00-1.17 95% CI; middle RHGS: 1.21 OR, 1.12-1.31 95% CI vs. strong RHGS). [Conclusion] A higher BMI was associated with the prevalence of hypertension in the elderly Korean population. In addition, a lower RHGS was associated with the prevalence of hypertension in elderly Korean men.

The aim of this study was to assess gender difference in the association of obesity and abdominal obesity and chronic kidney disease(CKD). The study subjects were Korean adults 20 years or older(n=9,409) who participated in the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2013-2014. In men, after adjusting for relevant variables, the Odds ratio(OR) of CKD[estimated glomerular filtration rate(eGFR) < 60ml/min/1.73m2] with a normal weight group[body mass index(BMI) < 23.0kg/m2], as a reference were significant for the obesity[BMI ≥ 25.0kg/m2, 1.83(95% CI, 1.20-2.80)], but abdominal obesity[waist measurement(WM) ≥ 90cm, 1.30(95% CI, 0.89-1.89)] group compared to the normal group(WM < 90cm) was not significant. However, in women, the OR of CKD with a normal group(WM < 80cm) as a reference were significant for the abdominal obesity[WM ≥ 80cm, 1.52(95% CI, 1.52-2.28)] group, but obesity group[1.37(95% CI, 0.89-2.11)] compared to the normal weight group was not significant. In conclusion, the obesity in Korean men and abdominal obesity in women were positively associated with CKD.
Background: This study aimed to investigate the impact of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on the development of major mental disorders in patients visiting a university hospital. Methods: The study participants were patients with COVID-19 (n=5,006) and those without COVID-19 (n=367,162) registered in the database of Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital and standardized with the Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership Common Data Model. Data on major mental disorders that developed in both groups over the 5-year follow-up period were extracted using the FeederNet computer program. A multivariate Cox proportional hazards model was used to estimate the hazard ratio (HR) and 95% confidence interval (CI) for the incidence of major mental disorders. Results: The incidences of dementia and sleep, anxiety, and depressive disorders were significantly higher in the COVID-19 group than in the control group. The incidence rates per 1,000 patient years in the COVID-19 group vs. the control group were 12.71 vs. 3.76 for dementia, 17.42 vs. 7.91 for sleep disorders, 6.15 vs. 3.41 for anxiety disorders, and 8.30 vs. 5.78 for depressive disorders. There was no significant difference in the incidence of schizophrenia or bipolar disorder between the two groups. COVID-19 infection increased the risk of mental disorders in the following order: dementia (HR, 3.49; 95% CI, 2.45-4.98), sleep disorders (HR, 2.27; 95% CI, 1.76-2.91), anxiety disorders (HR, 1.90; 95% CI, 1.25-2.84), and depressive disorders (HR, 1.54; 95% CI, 1.09-2.15). Conclusion: This study showed that the major mental disorders associated with COVID-19 were dementia and sleep, anxiety, and depressive disorders.
Background The study determined to compare the clinical outcomes of traditional gold weight implantation for the correction of paralytic lagophthalmos with those of a newly designed model. Methods In this retrospective cohort study, we enrolled 30 patients (76% females; average age 60.8 ± 12 years) with facial palsy who underwent implantation of either the traditional pretarsal gold weight (PT group; n = 15) or a new supratarsal model (ST group; n = 15) from May 2014 to April 2019. The main outcome measures were the 12-month postoperative weight prominence, weight migration, improvement of lagophthalmos, upper eyelid contour, and upper eyelid ptosis. The secondary outcome was long-term (24 months) reoperative rate. Results The new model group had significantly better eyelid contour (risk ratio [RR] 3.16, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.62-6.15, p = 0.001), less weight prominence (RR 1.74, 95% CI 1.13-2.70, p = 0.013), less weight migration (RR 1.31, 95% CI 1.12-1.54, p = 0.001), and less eyelid ptosis (RR 2.36, 95% CI 1.21-4.59, p = 0.011) than the traditional model group. Improvement of lagophthalmos was not statistically significant between the two groups (RR 1.44, 95% CI 0.72-2.91, p = 0.303). The 24-month reoperative rate was 53.3% in the PT group versus 13.3% in the ST group (RR 2.00, 95% CI 1.15-3.49, p = 0.015). Conclusion The newly designed supratarsal gold weight showed superior postoperative outcomes than the standard traditional model.
Background: This study assessed human papillomavirus (HPV), cervical cancer, and HPV vaccine knowledge and awareness among women in two sub-populations in Nepal - Khokana, a traditional Newari village in the Lalitpur District about eight kilometers south of Kathmandu, and Sanphebagar, a village development committee within Achham District in rural Far-Western Nepal. Methods: Study participants were recruited during health camps conducted by Nepal Fertility Care Center, a Nepali non-governmental organization. Experienced staff administered a Nepali language survey instrument that included questions on socio-demographics, reproductive health and knowledge on HPV, cervical cancer, and the HPV vaccine. Results: Of the 749 participants, 387 (51.7%) were from Khokana and 362 (48.3%) were from Sanphebagar. Overall, 53.3% (n=372) of women were aware of cervical cancer with a significant difference between Khokana and Sanphebagar (63.3% vs 43.0%; p=0.001). Overall, 15.4% (n=107) of women had heard of HPV and 32% (n=34) of these women reported having heard of the HPV vaccine. If freely available, 77.5% of the women reported willingness to have their children vaccinated against HPV. Factors associated with cervical cancer awareness included knowledge of HPV (Khokana: Odds Ratio (OR)=24.5; (95% Confidence Interval (CI): 3.1-190.2, Sanphebagar: OR=14.8; 95% CI: 3.7-58.4)) and sexually transmitted infections (Khokana: OR=6.18; 95% CI: 3.1-12.4; Sanphebagar: OR=17.0; 95% CI: 7.3-39.7) among other risk factors. Conclusions: Knowledge and awareness of HPV, cervical cancer, and the HPV vaccine remains low among women in Khokana and Sanphebagar. Acceptance of a freely available HPV vaccine for children was high, indicating potentially high uptake rates in these communities.
