Study on the Development of Social Evaluation Model for Aids to Navigation Accident (항로표지사고의 사회적비용 평가모델 개발에 관한 연구(I))

  • Aids to Navigation (AtoN) is a marine traffic safety facility used to facilitate the safe and efficient movement of shipping and enhance the protection of the marine environment by the regulations or guidelines of The International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (IALA). Our country is managing AtoN to provide consistent services for AtoN users, although an average of 141 AtoN accidents occur annually. An AtoN accident forces non-planned work on the managers to resort the function, and causes psychological anxiety for its users, ultimately resulting in economic losses. This study developed the Social Cost evaluation model of AtoN accidents. The model can be used to quantify the manager's economic activities related to the shutdown and recovery, as well as the cost associated with the inconvenience to AtoN users. The Social Cost evaluation model of AtoN accidents is proposed as the sum of the encounter cost, administration cost and risk cost.

  • 고주파용 전원의 필요성이 대두되면서 고주파에서 낮은 자기손실을 가진 재료의 개발이 요구되고 있다. Mn-Zn 페라이트의 자기손실은 전기비저항의 증거나 소결시 미세구조의 제어로 줄일 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 연쇄고온합성법(Self-propagation High- temperature Synthesis)에 의해 제조된 $_Mn_{0.72}$Z $n_{0.22}$)$_{0.94}$ (F $e_{2}$ $O_{3}$)$_{1.06}$ 조성의 Mn-Zn페라이트에서 첨가물이 미세구조와 자기적 성질에 미치는 영향에 대해 조사하였다. $SiO_{2}$와 Ca $Co_{3}$의 복합첨가에 의해 미세구조의 미세화와 아울러 낮은 자기손실 특성을 얻을 수 있었다. 그러나 첨가 물의 과다 첨가시에는 비정상입자성장 조직이 나타났으며 자기적 성질이 현저히 저하 하였다. 전기비저항, 자기손실의 주파수 의존 결과에 근거하여 주된 자기손실기구 및 이에 미치는 첨가물 효과에 대해 논하였다.

Power Loss and Electro-Magnetic Characteristics of Ni-Cu-Zn Ferrites (Ni-Cu-Zn페라이트의 손실과 자성 특성)

  • The power loss analysis was carried out for Ni-Cu-Zn ferrite samples with different content of NiO and ZnO. The power loss, Pcv decreases monotonically wi increasing temperature and attains to a certain value at around $100\~120$ degrees Celsius. The frequency dependence of Pcv can be explained by $Pcv\~f^n$', and n is independent of the frequency, f up to 1MHz. The Pcv decreases with an increase in ZnO/NiO. The Pcv was separated to hysteresis loss, Ph and residual loss, (Pcv-Ph). The temperature characteristics and compositional dependence of Pcv can be attributed to the Ph, while (Pcv-Ph) is not affected by both temperature and ZnO/NiO. By analyzing temperature and composition dependence of Ph and initial permeability, ${\mu}^i$ following equations could be formularized. $${\mu}_i{\mu}o=I_x\;^2/(K_1+bs_ol_s)\;\;\;\;(1)$$ $Wh=13.5(I_s\;^2/{\mu}_i{\mu}_o)\;\;\;\;(2)$$ Were ${\mu}_o$ is permeability of vacuum, $I_s$ saturation magnetization, $K_1$ anisotropy constant, $S_o$ internal heterogeneous stress, $I_s$, magnetostriction constant, b unknown constant. Wh hysteresis loss per one cycle of excitation (Ph: Wh*f). Steinmetz constant of Ni-Cu-Zn ferrites, $m=1.64\~2.2$ is smaller than the one of Mn-Zn ferrites, which suggests the difference of loss mechanism between these materials.

  • In this paper, a program that can be utilized to measure and analyze radio propagation characteristics is developed. This program is able to control the measurement instruments including spectrum analyzer through GPIB interface and analyze the measured data to yield mean excess delay and RMS delay spread. The measured path loss can be compared with theoretical value in free space or inside a tunnel. The measured and analyzed results can also be presented in the forms of graphs. As these tasks can be conducted on the spot of the measurements, this program is very helpful in performing and verifying the measurements immediately. In this thesis radio propagation characteristics with frequency bands of 2.45 and 5.8GHz in subway tunnels are measured by using the program. Path loss and delay spread in subway tunnel is measured and compared according to the form of antenna beam and LOS(Line of Sight) and N-LOS(Non-Line of Sight).

Nitrogen Isotope Compositions of Synthetic Fertilizer, Raw Livestock Manure Slurry, and Composted Livestock Manure (화학비료, 가축분뇨 및 퇴비의 질소동위원소비)

  • To investigate the difference in N isotope ratio ($^{15}N/^{14}N$, expressed as ${\delta}^{15}N$) among N sources (synthetic fertilizer, livestock manure, and manure compost), eight synthetic fertilizer, four livestock manure, and thirty-seven compost samples were collected and analyzed for ${\delta}^{15}N$. The mean ${\delta}^{15}N$ values of N sources were $-1.5{\pm}0.5$‰ (range: -3.9 to +0.5‰) for synthetic fertilizer, $+6.3{\pm}0.4$‰ (+5.3 to +7.2‰) for manure, and $+16.0{\pm}0.4$‰ (+9.3 to +20.9‰) for compost. The lower ${\delta}^{15}N$ of synthetic fertilizer was attributed to its N source, atmospheric $N_2$ of which ${\delta}^{15}N$ is 0‰ Meanwhile, more $^{15}N$-enrichment of compost than manure was assumed to be resulted from N isotopic fractionation (faster loss of $^{14}N$-bearing compound than $^{15}N$) associated with N loss particularly via $NH_3$ volatilization during composting. Therefore, our study shows that ${\delta}^{15}N$ values could successfully serve in discriminating two major N sources (synthetic fertilizer and compost) in agricultural system.

A Study on the Performance of Priority Mechanisms in ATM Multiplexer (ATM 멀티플렉서에서의 우선순위 메카니즘에 관한 연구)

  • In a switching node or an ATM multiplexer of the ATM network, a good bandwidth utilization can be achieved by the priority control using the 1-bit(Cell Loss priority) in ATM cell header. In this paper, the mixed mechanism is proposed to make up for shortcomings of existing space priority control mechanisms and to decrease the loss probability of high priority cell and its performance is analyzed about the cell loss probability. To estimate the performance of proposed mixed mechanism, its cell loss probability is compared with those of non-priority mechanism, push-out mechanism and partial buffer sharing mechanism. The cell loss probability is analyzed using a M/D/1/N modeling and a 2-state MMPP/D/1/N modeling and also comparison between two modelings is made. To verify this result of numerical analysis, the computer simulation is performed for each mechanism using the simulation language, SIMSRIPT II.5.

Wear Characteristics According of Heat Treatment of Si3N4 with Different Amounts of SiO2 Nano-Colloid (SiO2 나노 콜로이드 량이 다른 Si3N4의 열처리에 따른 마모 특성)

  • This study sintered $Si_3N_4$ with different amounts of $SiO_2$ nano-colloid. The surface of a mirror-polished specimen was coated with $SiO_2$ nano-colloid, and cracks were healed when the specimen was treated at a temperature of 1273 K for 1 h in air. Wear specimen experiments were conducted after heat treatments for 10 min at 1073, 1273, and 1573 K. The heat-treated surface that was coated with the $SiO_2$ nano-colloid was slightly rougher than the noncoated surface. The oxidation state of the surface according to the heat treatment temperature showed no correlation with the surface roughness. Moreover, the friction coefficient, wear loss, and bending strength were not related to the surface roughness. $Si_3N_4$ exhibited an abrasive wear behavior when SKD11 was used as an opponent material. The friction coefficient was proportional to the wear loss, and the bending strength was inversely proportional to the friction coefficient and wear loss. The friction coefficient and wear loss increased with increasing amounts of the $SiO_2$ nanocolloid. In addition, the friction coefficient was slightly increased by increasing the heat treatment temperature.

  • 본 논문에서는 유 무선 이종망의 네트워크에서 혼잡손실과 무선손실의 구별을 하지 못하고 전송률을 감소하는 TFRC의 성능을 개선하기 위한 최소 전송률을 보장하는 TFRC 제어방법을 제안한다. 제안 하는 TFRC기법은 기존의 TFRC 기법의 패킷손실률에 따른 loss event rate를 제한하고 피드백 타임아웃에 따른 전송률 감소를 제한하여 비디오의 최소전송률을 보장하는 방법이다. TCP와 제안하는 TFRC를 같은 네트워크망에서 경쟁하는 환경으로 실험 했을 때 기존의 TFRC와 비교해서 제안한 TFRC의 전송률이 보장되어 더 좋은 성능을 보였다. 무선구간에서의 손실까지도 혼잡손실로 판단하고 전송률을 감소시켜 다중 네트워크에서 대역폭을 보장받지 못하는 TFRC기법을 최소전송률 보장을 통해 비디오 스트리밍 서비스를 제공함으로써 서비스의 품질을 보장한다.

  • YBCO CC의 초전도 전력기기 응용에 대한 자화손실 저감을 위한 연구가 진행중이다. 본 논문에서는 임계상태 모델에 기초한 수치해석을 이용하여 슬릿개수의 변화에 따른 YBCO CC의 자화손실 저감 특성을 해석하였다. 수치해석을 위한 YBCO CC의 규격은 두께와 폭이 각각 $2{\mu}m$, 4mm이며 슬릿에 의한 선재분한인 필라멘트는 각각 2,4,8개이다. 또한, 수치해석의 결과는 strip모델의 자화손실식과 비교하였다. 해석 결과, 자기적으로 결합되지 않은 strip모델 해석값과 수치해석값은 차이를 보였으며 필라멘트 개수의 변화에 따라 약 1/n 수준으로 자화손실이 저감됨을 확인하였다.
