교회 건축물의 실내음향 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Room Acoustics in Churches)

  • In a church, speech intelligibility is very important together with the reverberance for musical activities. In order to obtain the primary data of a acoustical design for churches records were refereed and churches were measured in Europe and Japan. And in the base of measurements, those were judged by subjective hearing test. As some results, it has been found that the room acoustics of churches were different in a country and the reverberation time was perferred two seconds for speech intelligibility. However, although personal deviations were admitted, more long echoes were preferred for the music.

입술정보 및 SFM을 이용한 음성의 음질향상알고리듬 (Speech Enhancement Using Lip Information and SFM)

  • In this research, we seek the beginning of the speech and detect the stationary speech region using lip information. Performing running average of the estimated speech signal in the stationary region, we reduce the effect of musical noise which is inherent to the conventional MlMSE (Minimum Mean Square Error) speech enhancement algorithm. In addition to it, SFM (Spectral Flatness Measure) is incorporated to reduce the speech signal estimation error due to speaking habit and some lacking lip information. The proposed algorithm with Wiener filtering shows the superior performance to the conventional methods according to MOS (Mean Opinion Score) test.

Pink Noise가 개인별 특성에 따라 뇌파 집중지표에 미치는 영향과 다중지능과의 관계 (Relationship Between Effects of Pink Noise on Brain Wave Concentration Index by Individual Characteristics and Multiple Intelligence)

  • 이 연구는 성인 남녀 462명을 대상으로 사전 설문검사를 통해 성별, 손잡이, 혈액형, 연령 등의 개인별 특성 집단과 다중지능 유형별 점수를 분류하였다. 그런 다음 뇌파측정시스템을 이용하여 전전두엽 부위인 Fp1과 Fp2 부위에 측정 전극을 부착하고 무자극 상태와 순수한 Pink noise 청각자극 상태에서의 집중력의 변화와 다중지능과의 관계를 알아보고자 하였다. 공분산분석 결과, 무자극에 비해 Pink noise 자극 시 대상자 전체의 평균 집중력이 유의하게 높게 나타났다. 개인별 특성에서는 남녀 성별을 제외한 왼손잡이, A형, 30대 집단에서 집중력이 유의하게 높게 나타났다. 그리고 무자극에 비해 Pink noise 상태의 집중력은 공간적 지능과의 관계가 더욱 강화되었고, 음악적 지능과는 음적 상관관계를 형성하였다. 이러한 결과는 집중력 향상을 위한 Pink noise 활용 시 개인별 특성을 반영해야할 필요성이 있음을 시사하였다.

소규모 다목적 홀의 음향성능 개선 사례 (Case study on the Improvement of Acoustic performance for Small Multipurpose Hall)

  • Recently, in accordance with the cultural progress and the improvement of citizen's consciousness level, it is the real situation that the construction of small-scaled Multi-Purpose Hall where various cultural events could be performed, is on increasing. However, because the most of Multi-Purpose Hall had been designed and built up without any consideration on Acoustic Factor, many problems are on occurring thereat. Because those small-scaled Multi-Purpose Hall have been mostly used with the finishing material which contains a high degree of Acoustic Absorption indiscreetly, both diffusion and reflection of sound are not establishing properly, and since the reverberation of sound is very low, in case of musical performance by musical instrument, its sound hears too arid and stiff, there occurs some acoustic defect such as it becomes difficult for music appreciation with sufficient timbre, so that the capability improvement on the matter is urgently requiring situation. On this viewpoint, this Research has caught the Authenticity of the forecasted value and actually measured value using Acoustic Simulation on the subject of the small-scaled Multi-Purpose Hall, and then intended to propose the optimum acoustic condition on the basis of the Authenticity. As the result, it could be designed a Multi-Purpose Hall equipped with the satisfactory acoustic performance compare with the time before improvement, so that it is considered that such research result could be practically used as the fundamental material when design for other similar small-scaled Multi-Purpose Hall in the future.

It is deemed that such research result could be practically used as the useful material which enables to bring a reduction effect of construction cost as well asenhancement of the acoustic performance through its presupposition?control on the acoustic problem when construction or renovation of other similar small-scaled Multi-Purpose Hall in the future.

  • 문화콘텐츠기술(CT, Culture Technology)은 문화 산업 발전을 위한 기술로 문화콘텐츠 기획과 상품화, 미디어탑재, 전달의 가치사슬 과정 등 문화상품의 부가가치를 높이기 위해 소용되는 모든 형태의 유무형의 기술이다. 문화콘텐츠 기술(CT)분야에서 음악의 특징을 분석하여 다양한 어플리케이션을 개발하는 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이와 관련된 연구 중 EEG를 측정하고 그 결과에서 음악적 자극에 대한 반응을 검출하여 활용하는 연구가 주목받고 있다. 본 논문에서는 EEG에서 음악적 자극에 대응되는 반응신호들을 증폭시켜 평균화 하는 방법인 ERP(Event-Related Potentials) 실험을 기반으로 음색을 추출하는 과정에서 노이즈를 제거하기 위한 방법으로 ICA 알고리즘을 적용하여 음색 추출 및 노이즈 제거 결과에 따른 EEG의 특성을 분석하여 적용한다.

  • In this research, we investigated the acoustical characteristics of the front yard of Injeongjeon hall at Changdeokgung Palace, a Korean traditional building which is on record as the world curtural inheritance of UNESCO. Acoustical measurements and computer simulation were fitted in order to judge the appropriateness of musical performances in the space. The front part of the stage area, where musicians will perform, is made of a stone platform. The eaves of Injeongjeon hall is located behind the platform.

GPU를 이용한 해금의 스펙트럼 모델링 (Spectral Modeling Synthesis of Haegeum using GPU)

  • This paper presents a parallel approach of formant synthesis method for haegeum on graphics processing units (GPU) using spectral modeling. Spectral modeling synthesis (SMS) is a technique that models time-varying spectra as a combination of sinusoids and a time-varying filtered noise component. A second-order digital resonator by the impulse-invariant transform (IIT) is applied to generate deterministic components and the results are band-pass filtered to adjust magnitude. The noise is calculated by first generating the sinusoids with formant synthesis, subtracting them from the original sound, and then removing some harmonics remained. The synthesized sounds are consequently by adding sinusoids, which are shown to be similar to the original Haegeum sounds. Furthermore, GPU accelerates the synthesis process enabling- real time music synthesis system development, supporting more sound effect, and multiple musical sound compositions.

HE-AAC 부호화의 저비트율에서 음질향상 기법 (Quality Improvement of Low-Bitrate HE-AAC Encoder)

  • 본 논문에서는 HE-AAC (High Efficiency Advanced Audio Coding) 오디오 부호화기의 저주파 대역과 고주파 대역을 담당하고 있는 AAC부호화기와 SBR (Spectral Band Replication) 부호화기에 대해 낮은 비트율에서 효과적인 개선 방법을 제안한다. AAC 부호화기가 담당하는 저주파 대역에서 과도신호가 발생하는 부분의 프리에코를 줄이기 위하여 적용 주파수범위가 저주파 대역 방향으로 선택적으로 확장되는 eTNS (exteded Temporal Noise Shaping) 방법을 고안하였다. 또한 SBR에 의해 부호화되는 고주파 대역에서 톤 성분 복원 시에 잡음층 (Noise floor)이 추가 발생되지 않도록 정현파 모델을 통해 톤을 사전 인지하고 인지된 톤들의 주파수를 QMF 밴드의 중앙으로 재배치하여 성능 향상을 이루었다. 제안한 방법들을 사용하여 복호화한 샘플 음원들에 대해 주/객관적 음질평가를 실시한 결과, 표준 HE-AAC에 비해 향상된 결과를 보여주었다.

  • As Music Room in Art School is mainly for exercise of musical instrument rather than any lecture or music appreciation, it should be designed and constructed in consideration with Acoustic Condition on the preferential basis. However, in case of Music Room in Art School that has been built already or latest newly constructed, since it was designed and constructed without any reflection of Acoustic Characteristics, it appeared as inadequate for them to enjoy music appreciation or performance activity. On such view point, this Study has examined the physical Acoustic Characteristics for the subjects on those Music Rooms of Art Middle School, Art High School, Art College built in Cheonbuk Province, and it is deemed that the material grasped in such way could be utilized as the valuable data enables to improve Acoustic Performance at the time when designing and construction or renovation for Music Room hereafter.
