An essential aspect of music is structure. Beran (2004) introduced a method of comparing piano plays via circular statistics based on the fact that there is circular structure in music. We expand the application of this method to a pair of two pop songs and discuss the possibility of applying it to detecting musical plagiarism. Circular statistics provides an objective view point comparing the musical works.

The purpose of this study is to find a solution to disputes in the process of producing digital music sources. At present, the center of the world music market including the domestic market has been completely transformed from the tangible musical record market to the intangible sound source market. Due to these environmental changes, the music production process becomes industrialized and specialized, causing conflicts of interest among the individuals in the process. First of all, this study examined changes in the music market which is the background of the dispute, identified the problems of the process and suggested solutions while summarizing the meaning and role of each process of producing a sound source that may arise during the sound production process. This study covers plagiarism between producers, copyright infringement of the creator against assistant creator caused by the industrialization and division of the production environment, issues related to the rights of sound engineers whose role and importance become bigger as acoustic technology develops and music genres become more diverse, and vertical hierarchy due to the formation of oligopoly by several distributors with huge capital. As a result of the study, it was concluded that Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) system is suitable for solving these problems. Specific methods of using ADR include activation of the dispute settlement system of the Korea Copyright Commission, active use of the arbitration clause specified in the standard contract, and recalculation of labor costs and earnings from copyright through mutual negotiations. This paper can be differentiated from previous studies in that it studied overall problems that might arise in the process of digital music source production and suggested ADR utilization as the solution.

본 논문에서는 음악 데이터베이스의 멜로디와 사용자가 기술한 멜로디의 기하학적 구조를 비교하는 음악 검색 시스템을 제안하고 있다. 시스템은 멜로디의 구조적이고 상황적인 특징들을 분석하여 쿼리 멜로디와 데이터베이스의 멜로디가 일치성을 찾고자 한다. 검색 방법은 사전 처리 단계와 인식 단계로 이루어진 기하하적 해싱 알고리즘에 기반을 두고 있다. 사전 처리 단계 동안 구조적 특징을 찾기 위해서 음악의 멜로디를 여러 개의 프래그먼트(fragment)들로 분할하고 그 프래그먼트의 각 음의 높이 및 길이를 분석한다. 상황적 특징을 찾기 위해서 각 프래그먼트의 중심 화음을 찾는다. 인식 단계 동안 사용자가 입력한 쿼리 멜로디를 여러 개의 프래그먼트들로 분할하고 구조적이고 상황적 특성이 유사한 모든 프래그먼트들을 데이터베이스에서 검색한다. 투표는 각 프래그먼트에 대해 이루어지고 총 득표수가 최대인 음악이 쿼리 멜로디와 일치하는 멜로디를 갖는 음악이 된다. 이러한 접근 방법을 이용하여, 음악 데이터베이스에서 유사한 멜로디를 빠르게 찾을 수 있다. 또한 이 방법은 표절 음악을 감지하는데 적용될 수 있다.

캄보디아의 대중음악은 크메르 루즈 정권 기간 동안 예술가의 90 %가 사망 한 이래로 완전히 잊혀졌다. 1979 년부터 전쟁에서 회복 한 후 1990 년 음악은 다시 성장하기 시작했다. 그러나 캄보디아 대중 음악의 역 동성과 흐름은 다면적 사회 경제적, 정치적, 창조적 세력에 의해 관찰 되고 있지만, 표절과 불법 복제로 수년간 대중음악산업에서 널리 퍼져 많은 문제가 되어왔다. 최근에는 크메르(캄보디아언어) 전통 음악을 팬과 아티스트 모두에게 보존해야 할 필요성에 대한 의식이 높아져 캄보디아 젊은 인구의 새로운 트렌드가 되었으나, 음악 품질은 여전히 한계상태에 봉착해 있고, 전통 대중 음악의 전문성을 높이기 위해서는 대중의 드백과 영감이 필요하다. 이 연구는 캄보디아에서 가장 많은 대중음악 관련 사이트인 페이스 북 페이지의 게시물과 코멘트에서 수집 된 문장들을 감정분석을 사용하여 음악 순위 차트(웹 사이트)를 구현하였다. 크메르어에서 영어로 번역하고 감정 분석을 수행하고 순위를 생성하는 알고리즘 개발하였다. 그 결과로 제안 된 시스템에서 번역 및 감정분석의 정확도가 80 %임을 보여주었다. 순위에서 높이 평가된 노래는 크메르(캄보디아언어)로 된 전통대중음악으로 이 논문의 취지와 부합이 되었다. 캄보디아 전통대중음악을 다시 부활하기 위해서 제안 된 시스템과 순위 알고리즘을 사용하여 음악제작의 경쟁 우위를 높이고 제작자가 특정 활동 및 이벤트에 맞는 새 노래를 작곡하는 데 도움이 될것으로 사료된다.

유사 멜로디 검색은 질의 멜로디와 유사한 멜로디들을 음악 데이터베이스로부터 찾는 연산이다. 본 논문에서는 유사 멜로디 검색을 기반으로 하는 표절 감지 시스템 개발에 관하여 논의한다. 먼저, 정합 및 이동 변환을 지원하는 새로운 유사 모델을 제안한다. 또한, 각 멜로디의 특징들을 인덱싱 하는 방법과 인덱스를 기반으로 표절 감지를 처리하는 방법을 제시한다. 제안된 표절 감지 시스템을 이용하여 작곡가는 자신의 멜로디와 유사한 멜로디를 가지는 곡들을 음악 데이터베이스에서 효과적으로 검색할 수 있다. 실험을 통한 성능 평가를 통하여 제안된 기법의 우수성을 규명한다. 실험 결과에 의하면, 제안된 기법은 순차 검색을 기반으로 하는 방법과 비교하여 약 31배까지의 성능 개선 효과를 보였다.
