Multimedia Technologies As A Basis For The Development Of Modern It Education In Ukraine

  • This article analyzes the state and development of multimedia technologies in the educational process. The reasons for the emergence of multimedia educational technologies are shown. The definition of the concept of "multimedia education" is given. The advantages and disadvantages of teaching using multimedia technologies are presented. The article, based on multimedia technologies, provides one of the ways to solve the problem of lack of classroom time for the presentation of all educational material in the process of teaching engineering students. The creation and application of educational videos in education is discussed, an example of teaching electrical engineering is given; the requirements for the development of video lessons, their advantages and importance in the educational process are indicated.

  • New media is an emerging industry sector. It sits at the nexus of what has become a main vehicle of the Knowledge Based Economy. the crossroads where the use of interactive multimedia technology meets the traditional uses of media. The current Education information Act provided school with PC, multimedia labs and connection to internet. Having such a facility in schools encourage teachers and students to use computers more often. Teachers demand for more educational multimedia contents than they can find in the market. Although there are many good contents, teachers find them unfit or inflexible for their curriculum. The purpose of this study is to identify the elements of standard multimedia studio facilities to develop multimedia contents in primary and secondary schools. The result of this study will provide guidelines for schools to facilitate their multimedia studio for teaching and learning activities, and developing contents for effective use of their facilities.

  • 최근 초ㆍ중등학교 현장에서는 ICT 활용 교수ㆍ학습에 사용할 수 있는 양질의 멀티미디어 교육자료를 매우 필요로 하고 있다. 이러한 양질의 멀티미디어 교육자료를 개발하기 위해서는 일련의 개발 공정을 설정하고 적절한 시점마다 체계적인 심사를 수행하는 것이 바람직하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 교육자료를 개발하기 위한 추진 절차를 수립하고 심사가 요구되는 단계를 추출한 후, 각 단계별로 고려해야할 심사 기준을 제시하고자 한다. 이와 같은 각 단계별 심사 기준은 멀티미디어 교육자료의 개발 공정 전체를 체계적으로 관리ㆍ감독할 수 있게 하는 기준 역할을 할 수 있으므로, 보다 양질의 자료를 개발하는데 기여할 수 있을 것으로 본다.

멀티미디어를 이용한 정보기술 교육의 학습 효과에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 (An Empirical Study on Factors Influencing the Learning Results of Information Technology Using Multimedia)

  • Recently, the rapid development of information technology has brought enormous changes in education. Consolidation of communications and multimedia technologies are enabling the new educational paradigm such as distance learning and virtual education. Furthermore, many studies in the education engineering field report that teaching using multimedia technologies more enhances students' performance than the traditional instructor-teaching method. However, little research regarding the education using multimedia has been done in the MIS filed. None of multimedia-related studies could be found in the top-ranked MIS journals published in Korea for the last five years, and only a few studies were found even worldwide. In this regard, the purpose of this study is to investigate which features of multimedia software are most important to enhance the teaching results of students, From the previous research, we found out the specific features of the educational multimedia software which are considered to affect the students' performance, and defined the research variables related to those educational software features, And, based on the constructivism and motivation theory of the education engineering field, a theoretical research model and research hypotheses were developed. Perceived usefulness of the class and a student's perceived interests in the class were used as surrogate variables to measure teaching performance. Total 277 students participated separately in one of the two multimedia classes which have continued for three weeks. One was C programming language class and the other was multimedia CD-title development class. Each student listened for the multimedia session of the class using multimedia software and, at the end of the multimedia session, answered the survey questionnaire, The results of the study show that motivation to the class and the contents of education were statistically significant to the students' performance in the class. That implies, not only in the traditional instructor-teaching method but also in the multimedia class, that the contents of education itself and student's motivation to the class are most important to raise instructional results.

A Design and Implementation of Tangible Educational Contents

  • Currently on the school education site, various multimedia contents are used to effectively deliver knowledge to the students and increase interest in class. The majority of the multimedia contents currently used in classes are composed of visual and auditory information. This paper intends to maximize actuality and immersion in the content by adding olfactory information to the existing visual and auditory data. Tangible contents were developed based on the details of aromatic plants learned in the fifth grade of elementary school. The shape and explanation of the aromatic plants are displayed with visual and auditory information, and an aroma spraying application is used to allow the students to smell the aromatic plants. After conducting the class using the developed contents, the students' satisfaction of the class, as well as their overall academic understanding, were investigated. Upon doing so, it was discovered that the students' academic understanding and satisfaction increased in comparison to classes comprised of only visual and auditory contents.

A Multimedia Case-based Environment: Teaching Technology Integration to Pre-service Teachers

  • The study described in this paper examined the effectiveness of a multimedia case-based learning environment to teach technology integration to Korean pre-service teachers. The structure and philosophy behind the use of embedded video in an online, multimedia system and the data collected from 103 pre-service teachers are presented and discussed. The overall finding shows that there was no significant difference from pre- to posttest among the lecture, the case-based, and the mixed environment groups. However, low prior knowledge students improved more when they learned about technology integration with the mixed method than with the case-based method alone. Discussion about this result and its educational implications conclude the paper.

  • This Paper Presents an Internet-based Java self-learning educational system which consists of a management system named Java Web Player (JWP) and creative multimedia contents fer Java language. The JWP Is a Java application program free from security problems by the Java Web Start technologies that supports an Integrated learning environment including three Important learning Procedures: Java concept learning Process, Programming practice process and assessment process. This JWP enables the learners to achieve efficient and Interesting self-learning since the learning process is designed to enhance the multimedia capabilities on the basis of various educational technologies. On-line voice presentation and its related texts together with moving images are synchronized for efficiently conveying creative contents to learners. Furthermore, a simple and useful compiler is included in the JWP fur providing user-friendly language practice environment enabling such as coding, editing, executing and debugging Java source files on the Web. The assessment process with various items helps the learners not only to increase their academic capability but also to appreciate their current degree of understanding. Finally, simple multiple choices are given suddenly to the learners while they are studying through the JWP and the test results are displayed on the message box. The proposed system can be used for an efficient tool for learning system on the Web.

  • 컴퓨터 기술의 발달로 인해 만화로 된 영상과 대화형 삽화를 제공하는 멀티미디어 매체들이 점차 교육용 자료들로 각광받고 있다. 따라서 종전의 전통적인 교육 자료들과 비교했을 때 멀티미디어 자료들이 학습에 더 효율적인지 조사할 필요가 있다. 어떠한 환경가운데 좀 더 효율적인 학습이 될 수 있는지 연구하는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구는 전통적인 영어 읽기와 쓰기 학습방법과 삽화나 애니메이션을 사용하는 교육용 멀티미디어 매체를 기반으로 하는 학습과의 비교 연구를 하고자 한다. 학생들의 실험집단과 통제집단으로 구분하여 6개월간의 실험과 서로 다른 교육 자료를 적용하여 설문조사와 평가를 기반으로 그 결과를 영어 교육에 새로운 접근 방법을 제시하고자 한다.

  • The processes of society's informatization and digitalization necessitate the widespread use of new pedagogical technologies. Through these technologies, comprehensive disclosure of didactic functions of new methods of educational activity and the realization of the potential and creative potential. The use of information and computer multimedia technologies in teaching music art is especially relevant in the intensification of the development of interactive technologies, the transition to mixed forms of learning, and a period of socio-economic and sociopolitical upheavals. The study aims to substantiate the theoretical and applied principles of the analysis of multimedia technology learning musical art in modern conditions and assess the status and trends in their use in conducting educational activities. The study uses general scientific and unique methods of economic analysis, in particular, analysis and synthesis, analogy and comparison, generalization and systematization, and graphic ways. Regarding the results of the study of multimedia technologies for teaching musical art in current conditions, it was found that they contribute to the development of the seeker's creative, creative, and cognitive activity, have a positive impact on learning material, and diversify the educational process. Multimedia technologies such as presentations, programs for watching a video, listening to audio, music and singing karaoke, electronic encyclopedias, and Internet resources are proven to be the most used in music education. They have several qualitative and quantitative advantages, manifested in the possibilities of audio-visual presentation of educational material and significantly higher information density. It is suggested to strengthen the use of such computer programs as Microsoft Word, Ahead Nero, Finale, Adobe Audition, Sound Forge, and Microsoft PowerPoint for musical art classes.

가상대학 구축을 위한 AUTHORING TOOL에 대한 연구 (Authoring Tool for a Cyber University)

  • We discuss the characteristics of authoring tool for the lecture on demand(LOD) in a cyber university. Authoring tool will be one of the important tools for constructing LOD that gives good educational opportunities to students of cyber university. The one of characteristics in authoring tool is“Education”and“Entertainment”. The LOD system constructed with authoring tool will be impact on multimedia telecommunication, technology for constructing and searching multimedia database, GroupWare and distributing technology, etc.
