Piezoelectric characteristics of Low temperature sintering ceramics according to Zr/Ti ratio (저온소결 PSN-PZT 세라믹스의 Zr/Ti 비에 따른 압전특성)

  • In this study, in order to develop the low temperature sintering ceramics for multilayer piezoelectric transformer, dielectric and piezoelectric properties of PSN-PZT ceramics were investigated according to Zr/Ti ratio. As Zr/Ti ratio is increased, coupling factor(kp) and dielectric constant were increased and then decreased after the ratio of Zr/Ti=50/50. And also, mechanical quality factor were decreased and then increased after the ratio of Zr/Ti=50/50.

  • In this study, in order to develop multilayer low temperature sintering piezoelectric transformer, $Pb_{0.97}Sr_{0.03}[(Mn_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})x(Zr_{0.48}Ti_{0.52})_{1-x}O_3]+$ 0.25wt% $CeO_2$+0.3 wt% $Nb_2O_5$ system ceramics were fabricated using $Li_2CO_3-CaCO_3$ and CuO as sintering aids and their piezoelectric and dielectric characteristics were investigated with the amount of PMN substitution. With increasing PMN substitution, electromechanical coupling factor kp and dielectric constant were increased.

  • In order to develop piezoelectric inverter module for CCFL driving, Rosen-type multilayer piezoelectric transformer was fabricated. The output power and efficiency of mutilayer piezoelectric transformer according to the variation inner electrode layer were investigated. Mutilayer piezoelectric transformer was fabricated conventional mutilayer ceramic method using PZT base ceramics. Also, piezoelectric inverter module was adopted driving circuit with half-bridge type. The piezoelectric inverter module was set up with input voltage 12.5 V, switching frequency 104.3 KHz. The results showed the value of step-up ratio 100, efficiency 87% at load resistance of $100k{\Omega}$.

  • In this study, in order to develop the low temperature sintering ceramics for multilayer piezoelectric transformer, dielectric and piezoelectric properties of PSN-PZT ceramics were investigated as a function of CuO addition, At the 0.6wt% CuO added specimen sintered at $920^{\circ}C$, the most excellent mechanical quality factor and electromechanical coupling factor were obtained.

  • In this study, in order to develop the low temperature sintering multilayer piezoelectric transformer, PMW-PMN-PZT system ceramics were manufactured with the addition of sintering aids, and their dielectric and piezoelectric characteristics were investigated. At the composition ceramics sintered at $900^{\circ}C$, dielectric constant(${\varepsilon}r$), electromechanical coupling factor(kp) and mechanical quality factor(Qm) showed the optimal value of 1043, 0.44 and 793, respectively, for multilayer piezoelectric transformer application.

  • In this study, vibration mode multilayer piezoelectric transformer was designed and thickness simulated using ANSYS of finite element method simulator for investigating its optimum conditions ist. As a results, resonant frequency was decreased with the increase of output layer thickness, Output voltage, maximum displacement and maximum stress at 0.34mm thickness transformer were 228.1 V, $0.42{\mu}m,\;8.78[N/m^2]$ respectively.

  • In this study, in order to increase piezoelectric properties of the low temperature sintering ceramics for multilayer piezoelectric transformer, PCW-PMN-PZT ceramics added with $Li_2CO_3$, $Bi_2O_3$ and CuO as sintering aids were manufactured according to the amount of $MnO_2$ addition, and their microstructural, dielectric and piezoelectric properties were investigated. When the sintering aids was added, specimens could be sintered at $950^{\circ}C$. However, sintering aids added specimens showed lower piezoelectric properties than those of non-added specimens. $0.1wt%MnO_2$ added specimen at $950^{\circ}C$ showed ${\varepsilon}_r$, of 1503, $k_p$ of 0.57 and $Q_m$ of 1502 were shown, respectively, and showed optimum properties for multilayer piezoelectric transformer.

  • In this study, in order to develop multilayer piezoelectric transformer, PMN-PZT ceramics were fabricated according to PFW substitution using $Li_2CO_3-CaCO_3$ as sintering aids and their dielectric and piezoelectric characteristics were investigated. As increasing the amount of PFW substitution, density was slightly increased due to the increased sinterability. At the 1[mol%] PFW substituted PMN-PZT ceramic sintered at 950[$^{\circ}C$], density, dielectric constant $\varepsilon_r$, electromechanical coupling factor kp, mechanical quality factor Qm and piezoelectric $d_{33}$ constant showed the optimum value of 7.761[$g/cm^3$], 1251, 0.479, 1425 and 282[pC/N], respectively.

  • Recently, as the piezoelectric transformer technology develops, piezoelectric transformer may become a variable alternative to magnetic transformers in various applications. Because it was have to favorable characteristics such as electromagnetic-noise free, compact size, higher efficiency, and superior power density, linkage flux, noiseless, etc. its resonance frequency was used to output waveform of a sine wave. In this paper, the switching mode power supply of about 87.2[KHz] is driven by the multilayer thickness vibration mode piezoelectric transformer and the DC to DC converter drive circuit using an electrical equivalent circuit is proposed. Also, it was possible to drive power source device of the high-luminance LED by propose circuits.

  • In this study, in order to develop the low temperature sintering ceramics for multilayer piezoelectric transformer, dielectric and piezoelectric properties of PSN-PZT[0.91Pb(Sb$\sub$1/2/Nb$\sub$1/2/)$\sub$0.03/(Zr$\sub$0.495/Ti$\sub$0.505/)$\sub$0.97/O$_3$-0.04Pb(Ni$\sub$1/2/W$\sub$1/2/)O$_3$+0.05BiFeO$_3$+0.3wt%MnO$_2$+0.6wt%CuO〕 ceramics were investigated according to Zr/Ti ratio. As Zr/Ti ratio is increased, electromechanical coupling factor(k$\sub$p/) and dielectric constant increased and then decreased after the ratio of Zr/Ti=50/50. Also, mechanical qualify factor(Q$\sub$m/) decreased and then increased after the ratio of Zr/Ti=50/50.
