  • This paper presents the duplex controller operated as master slave for Self Excited Static Type excitation system and the results of operation for duplex digital excitation system. Software is made up duplex multi-tasking control algorithm which is based on VxWorks(real-time OS), preprocessing algorithm for input-output signal, BSP & Device Driver for interfacing hardware and software, and OIS(Operator Interface Station) program, HMI S/W. Master controller and slave controller intercommunicate dominant data to minimize bump when controller switchover from master to slave occurs. Communication between master controller and slave controller is duplicated and communication between OIS and controller is duplicated.   • This study was designed to develop a basic plan for computerization of nursing records. The subjects were 7 nursing record forms, 58 charts, 23 nurses, 2 nurse managers, a nurse and computer specialist, 16 master course students and 3 professors. Data collection was conducted through questionnaire, observation and interview. The collected data were analyzed for problems, plan of improvement and needs for computerization. Based upon these results, it is recommended that nursing record computerization was needed a basic plan to integrate needs of nursing record computerization. The basic plan as fellows : 1. To illustrate a data flow path of nursing record and data dictionary that show nurse's work and record process. 2. To establish a system in order to use multi -tasking and graphic user interface. 3. To establish hardware and software in order to embody integrated management of computer based system through structured walkthrough. 4. To choose effective database management system and to achieve Log as record unit.

  • 본 연구에서는 유한요소 구조해석을 위한 전후처리 통합운영 시스템을 개발하였다. 이 시스템은 구조해석, 전처리 및 후처리가 윈도우즈 환경에서 통합운영될 수 있도록 설계되었는데, 다중처리, 객체연결 및 결합 기법 등을 사용한 다중 윈도우상에서 대화식 입출력 기능과 여러가지 입출력 결과의 동시표현 등으로 더 향상된 그래픽 사용자 접속장치 환경을 제공한다. 따라서 메뉴, 대화상자, 다중 윈도우상에서의 단계별 자동입력 등을 통하여 자료의 입력이 용이해졌고, 동일 화면상에서 입력자료와 출력결과를 동시에 나타낼 수 있게 되었다. 본 시스템의 타당성과 효율성을 검증하기 위하여 여러가지 구조물에 대한 정적 및 자유진동해석을 수행하였다.

  • Using industrial robots and sensors, we developed an inline car body inspection system which proposes high flexibility and sufficient accuracy. Car Body Inspection(CBI) cell consists of two industrial robots, two corresponding carriages, camera vision system, a process computer with multi-tasking ability and several LDS's. As industrial robots guarantee sufficient repeatabilities, the CBI cell adopts the concept of relative measurement instead of that of absolute measurement. By comparing the actual measured data with reference data, the dimensional errors of the corresponding points can be calculated. The length of the robot arms changes according to ambient temperature and it affects the measuring accuracy. To compensate this error, a robot arm calibration process was realized. By measuring a reference jig, the differential changes of the robot arms due to temperature fluctuation can be calculated and compensated.

  • This paper describes UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) control system which employs PC104 modules. It is controlled by application program based on Linux OS. This application consists of both Linux device driver in kernel-space and user application in user-space. In order to get data required in the unmanned flight, external devices are connected to PC104 modules. We explain how Linux device drivers deal with data transmitted by external devices and we account for how the user application controls UAV on the basis of data processed in the device driver as well. Furthermore we look into the role of GCS (Ground Control Station) which is to monitor the state of UAV.

ATWS Frequency Quantification Focusing on Digital I&C Failures

  • The multi-tasking feature of digital I&C equipment could increase risk concentration because the I&C equipment affects the actuation of the safety functions in several ways. Anticipated Transient without Scram (ATWS) is a typical case of safety function failure in nuclear power plants. In a conventional analysis, mechanical failures are treated as the main contributors of the ATWS. This paper quantitatively presents the probability of the ATWS based on a fault tree analysis of a Korea Standard Nuclear Power Plant is also presented. An analysis of the digital equipment in the digital plant protection system. The results show that the digital system severely affects the ATWS frequency. We also present the results of a sensitivity study, which show the effects of the important factors, and discuss the dependency between human operator failure and digital equipment failure.

  • In this paper, we design the hardware platform and implement the embedded software based on the FPGA and the DSP for the automotive 77GHz FMCW radar system. This embedded software is built into the DSP as the multi-tasking architecture to support the basic target detection algorithm and the Ethernet link. The designed GUI(Graphic User Interface) provides ability to adjust parameters associated with the radar performance, to monitor signal processing results, and to download the raw received signal. The designed platform can be used to develop the optimal detection algorithms for the various applications.

  • The CPS provides data with long-term stability independent of passed time and the INS provides high-rate data with short-term stability. By integrating these complementary systems, a highly accurate navigation system can be achieved. In this paper, a loosely-coupled GPS/INS integration system is designed. It is a simple structure and is easy to implement and preserves independent navigation capability of GPS and INS. The integration system consists of a NCU, an IMU, a GPS receiver, and a monitoring system. The navigation algorithm in the NCU is designed under the multi-tasking environment based on a real-time kernel system and the monitoring system is designed using the Visual C++. The integrated Kalman filter is designed as a feedback formed 15-state filter, in which the states are position errors, velocity errors, attitude errors and sensor bias errors. The van test result shows that the integrated system provides more accurate navigation solution then the inertial or the GPS-alone navigation system.

Attitude Determination GPS/INS Integrated Navigation System with FDI Algorithm for a UAV

  • Recently an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has been widely used for military and civil applications. The role of a navigation system in the UAV is to provide navigation data to the flight control computer (FCC) for guidance and control. Since performance of the FCC is highly reliant on the navigation data, a fault in the navigation system may lead to a disastrous failure of the whole UAV. Therefore, the navigation system should possess a fault detection and isolation (FDI) algorithm. This paper proposes an attitude determination GPS/INS integrated navigation system with an FDI algorithm for a UAV. Hardware for the proposed navigation system has been developed. The developed hardware comprises a commercial inertial measurement unit (IMU) and the integrated navigation package (INP) which includes an attitude determination GPS (ADGPS) receiver and a navigation computer unit (NCU). The navigation algorithm was implemented in a real-time operating system with a multi-tasking structure. To evaluate performance of the proposed navigation system, a flight test has been performed using a small aircraft. The test results show that the proposed navigation system can give accurate navigation results even in a high dynamic environment.

  • 본 연구에서는 복합재 구조물의 설계를 위한 동시공학 시스템을 개발하였다. 동시공학 시스템은 보다 짧은 제품 개발시간과 저렴한 생산비용으로 보다 우수한 품질을 갖는 제품생산을 위해 개발되었다. 본 연구에서는 동시공학 시스템의 개발을 위해 복합재 구조물의 설계와 해석에 관련된 다양한 상용 및 비 상용 소프트웨어들이 조사/수집 되었다. 동시공학 시스템에는 고전적층판이론과 유한요소해석을 이용한 복합재 구조물의 설계 및 해석 모듈,좌굴 및 좌굴후 거동해석 모듈,탄소-탄소 복합재의 열탄성 거동해석 모듈 및 전문가 시스템과 유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 복합재 구조물의 최적설계 모듈로 구성되어 있다. 또한 동시공학시스템은 소프트웨어들의 통합 및 관리를 위해 다중작업 및 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스의 구성이 가능한 마이크로 소프트사의 비주얼 $C++{^\circledR}$에 의해 구현되었다.
