In the meantime, the study of traditional and contemporary house had been produced so many achievements in korea, but modern house is yet to be solved, Accordingly, It is necessary to develop and present the basic research data in order to build up an objective study for urban house in the modern age(1910-1945), Following to a study on the foreigner's house in grid-type settlement of Open Ports, in this research is to investigate and analyze modern houses of urban areas in korean inland, and then clarify types and changes of them. In the first year($1995{\sim}96$), the modern houses of Central Inland Districts(arrounding river Kumgang)-Kunsan kanggyong Puyo Kongju Pugang Chongju were investigated by the layout of room, the construction and materials, the design and style, etc. In the second year($1996{\sim}97$), the modern houses of Open Market(開市場)-Seoul Taegu Kwangju Taejon Chonju were conducted to investigate as above. The traditional house transformed by differentiation and addition of room(kan), the various types were respectively adopted for the korean reforming and western cultural house. In the layout of room, the types of plan were gradually concentrated from the single wings of korean traditional house. The korean traditional house was later improved through the introduction of entrance, corridor, and internal toilet/bathroom. But the korean under-floor heating system(andal) and a series of three rooms had been entirely maintained, composed of master bedroom/living room(daechung)/room. And the traditional town house with shop and storage, being built closely to each other and walled up both sides, it had taken gradually the extensive characteristics in itself. By the displacement of shop/dwelling/ storage. the various types were respectively adopted for the separated, multi-storied, and complex type. The type of them was gradually changed to the narrow and linear form. And so with the stockpile of fundamental datas about modern houses in korean urban areas, we expect these results contribute to the knowledge of the spatial characteristics of urban house at present which are required to the understanding of transition as well as types.
International Convention Center Jeju(ICCJ) was planed and built for accommodating a variety of conventional and exhibitional activities. For a better flexibility of operation, almost all rooms in ICCJ are designed to be subdivided Into a couple of small rooms with installation of movable partition walls. Architectural and acoustical design should be deliberatively and cooperatively undertaken to cope with such a complex condition. Conference hall, the largest room in ICCJ, has a capacity of 5000 seats who:1 used as a whole. It could be divided into 3 halls, one with 2000 pre-installed seats on slanted floor, up/down removable stage and its settings above, and the other 2 flat rooms with no seats installed. A devided hall with pre-installed seats and stage is designed for a multi-use auditorium. Almost all surfaces except ceilings adjacent to the stage are sound absorptively treated, in regard to extensive use of sound reinforcement systems. Its reverberation time 1.65 sec without audience, which is roughly correspond to 1.50 sec with fully occupied audience. When there is a need for a larger room, all the partition wail Is removed and the hall could be used as a whole. Exhibition hall is located in the first floor of ICCJ. Absorption and softness are needed for the hat 1 because exhibition behavior has something noisy features. Perforated MDF panels with porous materials and air space in the back groundare adopted for the walls. There are one large, two medium, and several small convention rooms in ICJJ. The room are also acoustically designed for maximum flexibility with no defects soundwisely.
The control of magnetization by an electric field at room temperature remains as one of great challenges in materials science. Multiferroics, in which magnetism and ferroelectricity coexist and couple to each other, could be the most plausible candidate to realize this long-sought capability. While recent intensive research on the multiferroics has made significant progress in sensitive, magnetic control of electric polarization, the electrical control of magnetization, the converse effect, has been observed only in a limited range far below room temperature. Here we demonstrate at room temperature the control of both electric polarization by a magnetic field and magnetization by an electric field in a multiferroic hexaferrite. The electric polarization rapidly increases in a magnetic field as low as 5 mT and the magnetoelectric susceptibility reaches up to 3200 ps/m, the highest value in single phase materials. The magnetization is also modulated up to 0.34 mB per formula unit in an electric field of 1.14 MV/m. Furthermore, this compound allows nonvolatile, magnetoelectric reading- and writing-operations entirely at room temperature. Four different magnetic/electric field writing conditions generate repeatable, distinct M versus E curves without dissipation, offering an unprecedented opportunity for a multi-bit memory or a spintronic device applications.
It is predicted that Japan will be in super-aged society at 2010. Recently elderly house buildings with self-supporting life and personal care senior house types have supplied over the area. So Elderly house buildings in Japan were studied for characters of room arrangement, through documents and internet from Jan. 2007 to Apr. 2007. Five cases built since 2000 were examined. There were self-supporting life house type, personal care senior house type, convenient facilities, etc. There were not lots of facilities in the building. Generally multi-purpose dining room and general bath room, lots for car and bicycle or restaurant or kindergarten or home helper station or green food shop or day service or moving service or clinic were there. These facilities were shared with local community. The reason of not being many facilities in the building was that the houses were located at urban with good transportation and convenient facilities. The residents in the building were get the utmost of regional facilities and the local people did the facilities in it because scare facilities in the building and fluent facilities in region. So strong community was composed of the residents and local people, on the contrary.
The purpose of this research is to explore the best examples from Japan to derive spatial and institutional characteristics. This study used the field survey method for 6 elderly welfare facilities in Japan. The characteristics of local friendly facility are as follows; First of all, since elderly care facilities in South Korea are separated from local community and facility plans are large-scaled and unified which are disconnected from local area, this research set aging in community, multi-function, diversity, and intergeneration into the concept that is necessary for local friendly facilities. Secondly, residential environment plan's basic directions are 1) plan that minimizes facilities-like atmosphere, 2) spatial plan that focuses on the elderly dignity and privacy, 3) comfortable and enjoyable communal living space plan, 4) local friendly and communicating plan, 5)plan that minimizes staff's care giving burden. Thirdly, the rooms necessary for local friendly facility model are composed of bedroom, dining room, kitchen, living room, garden, toilet, laundry room, bathroom, corridor, and office based on the legal installation standards.
Purpose : As the necessity of reinforcement of infections management in medical facilities after MERS increased, Ministry of Health and Welfare promulgated the enforcement regulations of medical law on February 3, 2017. Its main objective is to improve patients' safety and medical-care quality through the establishment of isolation facilities from infectious diseases and the set-up of standards for In-patient and ICU facilities. The purpose of this study is necessarily to propose a standardized spatial composition model for ward modules by analyzing changing environments of in-patient facilities according to the strengthened medical law. Method: Theoretical studies will be undergone of Evidence-based Designs to improve patients' safety, medical quality, and domestic/overseas in-patient room guidelines. With reference to the status of 24 general hospitals over 500 beds, the spatial compositions of the in-patient rooms and the types of multi/single bed room modules will be analyzed. The directions of future in-patient room module changes through the study of the minimum ward module types and various ward types will be presented. Result: This paper will hopefully provide guidelines for hospitalization rooms that can be applied to the revised rules of medical law enforcement and provide a basis for a comprehensive study of patients' safety and efficient infection control as well.
The purpose of this study was to analyze consumer's opinion and preference trend for luxurious apartments. Data were collected from 167 consumers visiting luxurious apartment model houses from Jan. 2000 to Nov. 2000. The findings of this study are as follows. 1) It is revealed that consumers are positive for luxurious apartments because of luxurious interior facilities and finishing materials convenient storage space and closet. It is found that they are willing to purchase the luxurious apartment if affordable. 2) It is revealed that consumers are negative in using imported materials in general. However, consumers are positive in using imported materials for kitchen and bathroom utilities because of better design and function. Also it is found that consumers are willing to purchase domestic materials if price and quality are same as imported one. 3) It is revealed that consumers prefer to have most spacious living room and master bed room which are facing South. They prefer to have built-in furniture in multi-in purpose room, children's bedroom and entrance hall in priority order. It is revealed that consumer want to choose their favorable interior plan and finishing materials among several options recommended by constructor.
The design of safe and economical structures depends on the reliable live load from load survey. Live load surveys are traditionally conducted by randomly selecting rooms and weighing each item on-site, a method that has problems of low efficiency, high cost, and long cycle time. This paper proposes a deep learning-based method combined with Internet big data to perform live load surveys. The proposed survey method utilizes multi-source heterogeneous data, such as images, voice, and product identification, to obtain the live load without weighing each item through object detection, web crawler, and speech recognition. The indoor objects and face detection models are first developed based on fine-tuning the YOLOv3 algorithm to detect target objects and obtain the number of people in a room, respectively. Each detection model is evaluated using the independent testing set. Then web crawler frameworks with keyword and image retrieval are established to extract the weight information of detected objects from Internet big data. The live load in a room is derived by combining the weight and number of items and people. To verify the feasibility of the proposed survey method, a live load survey is carried out for a meeting room. The results show that, compared with the traditional method of sampling and weighing, the proposed method could perform efficient and convenient live load surveys and represents a new load research paradigm.
This paper attempts to verify the possibilities of sharing facilities in adjacent elementary and middle school. To achieve these purposes, the educational theories are reviewed and several schools are surveyed. The outcomes from this study are as follows : (1)It is possible and effective to share some facilities in the adjacent elementary and middle schools. To achieve the successful sharing effects, it is necessary for the schools concerned to collaborate heartfully in managing school facilities and in operating school curriculum. (2)This study recommends some school facilities such as the dinning room and kitchen, multi-purpose auditorium, administrative part and nursing room. (3)It is more effective that the sharing facilities be located in the adjacent zone and two playground and main entrance be detached from the other territorial zone.
