얼굴 인식률 향상을 위한 멀티 블록 방식의 딥러닝 구조에 관한 연구 (A Study on Deep Learning Structure of Multi-Block Method for Improving Face Recognition)

  • 본 논문에서는 얼굴 인식률 향상을 위한 멀티 블록 방식의 딥러닝 구조를 제안한다. 제안하는 딥러닝의 인식 구조는 입력된 이미지의 멀티 블록화, 특징 수치 분석을 통한 멀티 블록 선정, 선정된 멀티 블록의 딥러닝 수행 등의 3가지 과정으로 구성된다. 첫 번째로 입력된 이미지의 멀티 블록화는 입력된 이미지를 4등분하여 멀티 블록화 시킨다. 두 번째로 특징 수치분석을 통한 멀티 블록 선정에서는 4등분된 멀티 블록들의 특징 수치를 확인하고 특징이 많이 부각되는 블록만을 선정하여 얼굴 인식에 방해가 되는 요소를 사전에 제거한 블록들을 선정한다. 세 번째로 선정된 멀티 블록으로 딥러닝 수행은 선정된 멀티 블록 부위가 학습되어진 딥러닝 모델에 인식을 수행하여 특징 수치가 높은 효율적인 블록으로 얼굴 인식의 결과를 도출한다. 제안된 딥러닝 구조의 성능을 평가하기 위하여 CAS-PEAL 얼굴 데이터베이스를 사용하여 실험 하였다. 실험 결과, 제안하는 멀티 블록 방식의 딥러닝 구조가 기존의 딥러닝 구조보다 평균 약 2.3% 향상된 얼굴 인식률을 나타내어 그 효용성이 입증됨을 확인하였다.

Calibration for Color Measurement of Lean Tissue and Fat of the Beef

  • In the agricultural field, a machine vision system has been widely used to automate most inspection processes especially in quality grading. Though machine vision system was very effective in quantifying geometrical quality factors, it had a deficiency in quantifying color information. This study was conducted to evaluate color of beef using machine vision system. Though measuring color of a beef using machine vision system had an advantage of covering whole lean tissue area at a time compared to a colorimeter, it revealed the problem of sensitivity depending on the system components such as types of camera, lighting conditions, and so on. The effect of color balancing control of a camera was investigated and multi-layer BP neural network based color calibration process was developed. Color calibration network model was trained using reference color patches and showed the high correlation with L*a*b* coordinates of a colorimeter. The proposed calibration process showed the successful adaptability to various measurement environments such as different types of cameras and light sources. Compared results with the proposed calibration process and MLR based calibration were also presented. Color calibration network was also successfully applied to measure the color of the beef. However, it was suggested that reflectance properties of reference materials for calibration and test materials should be considered to achieve more accurate color measurement.

  • Recent trends in the flexible manufacturing systems are morphing cell control for the shop-wide production operation system and providing the integrated operation and execution system together with vendor-specific FMC/FMS platform. In these requirements, the shop-floor level operation system plays a role of coordinating the control activity of each cell, and has to provide flexibility for the complexity of mixed operations of various cells. This paper suggests a system architecture for the mixed environments of multi-cells and job shop, its corresponding enabling technologies based on comparative studies with other related studies and commercialized systems. This approach includes a process definition model considering the integration with upper BOM-BOP and external service modules, and reconfigurable device-level interface which provides dynamic interconnections with machine tools and cell controllers. The function modules and their implementation results are also described to provide the feasibility of the proposed approaches as the flexible shop-floor operation system for the multi-cell environments.

고하중 이송 멀티 체인 호이스트 서버 시스템 개발 (Development of Multi-Axes Chain Hoist Servo Systems for Lifting Heavy Loads)

  • 공연장의 거대한 무대 세트나 장치에 움직임이 부여되면, 다양한 극적 효과를 연출할 수 있다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 프로그래밍 가능한 다축 체인 호이스트 서버 시스템은 이러한 연출의 자동화를 가능하게 한다. 본 시스템에는 PTP 기반의 임의 궤적 생성 방법, 다축 실시간 통신 제어 방법, 그리고 4 단계의 순차적인 안전 진단 알고리즘이 적용 되었으며, 호이스트들은 콘솔의 동기 제어에 의하여 시나리오의 연출 순서에 따라 자동적으로 움직인다. 12대 체인호이스트로 구성된 멀티 체인 호이스트 서버 시스템에 대한 1 ton 부하 및 대칭-비대칭 배치 부하에 대한 실험을 통해서 우수성을 검증하였다. 아울러 K-POP 공연에서 극적효과를 연출하는데 성공적으로 적용되었다.

RBF 커널과 다중 클래스 SVM을 이용한 생리적 반응 기반 감정 인식 기술 (Physiological Responses-Based Emotion Recognition Using Multi-Class SVM with RBF Kernel)

  • Emotion Recognition is one of the important part to develop in human-human and human computer interaction. In this paper, we have focused on the performance of multi-class SVM (Support Vector Machine) with Gaussian RFB (Radial Basis function) kernel, which has been used to solve the problem of emotion recognition from physiological signals and to improve the accuracy of emotion recognition. The experimental paradigm for data acquisition, visual-stimuli of IAPS (International Affective Picture System) are used to induce emotional states, such as fear, disgust, joy, and neutral for each subject. The raw signals of acquisited data are splitted in the trial from each session to pre-process the data. The mean value and standard deviation are employed to extract the data for feature extraction and preparing in the next step of classification. The experimental results are proving that the proposed approach of multi-class SVM with Gaussian RBF kernel with OVO (One-Versus-One) method provided the successful performance, accuracies of classification, which has been performed over these four emotions.

  • This paper presents the design of attachments for dual arms of disaster responding heavy machine. The heavy machine handles a variety of tasks such as cutting, shredding, picking and moving in unstructured environment. Despite the need for rapid response, the heavy machine has difficulty in repeatedly replacing the attachment depending on the task. Thus, we propose a method to solve this physical and functional contradiction relation by using TRIZ separation principles. Above all, the existing equipment and the required working scenarios were surveyed and summarized in order to separate the attachments functionally for right-handed, left-handed and two-handed operation. Then, we proposed the design directions and conceptual design as following: multi function type attachment A, for precise operation and various operations; grab type attachment B, for grasping irregular objects and auxiliary device for both arms to handle bulky objects.

  • In this paper, the design and implementation of a multi-processor based die bonder machine for the semiconductor will be described. This is a final research results carried out for two years from June, 1986 to July, 1988. The mechanical system consists of three subsystems such as bonding head module, wafer feeding module, and lead frame feeding module. The overall control system consists of the following three subsystems each of which employs a 16 bit microprocessor MC 68000 : (i) supervisory control system, (ii) visual recognition / inspection system and (iii) the display system. Specifically, the supervisory control system supervises the whole sequence of die bonder machine, performs a self-diagnostics while it controls the bonding head module according to the prespecified bonding cycle. The vision system recognizes the die to inspect the die quality and deviation / orientation of a die with respect to a reference position, while it controls the wafer feeding module. Finally, the display system performs a character display, image display ans various error messages to communicate with operator. Lead frame feeding module is controlled by this subsystem. It is reported that the proposed control system were applied to an engineering sample and tested in real-time, and the results are sucessful as an engineering sample phase.

신경회로망을 이용한 매니플레이터의 슬라이딩모드 제어 (Sliding Mode control of Manipulator Using Neural Network)

  • This paper presents a new control scheme that combines a sliding mode control and a neural network. In the proposed sliding mode control, a continuous control is employed removing the switching phenomena and the equivalent control within the boundary layer is estimated through on-line teaming of the neural network. The performances of the proposed control are compared with off-line neural network and on-line neural sliding mode control by computer simulation. The simulation results show that the proposed control reduces high frequency chattering and tracking error in example of the two link manipulator.

A New Excitation Control for Multimachine Power Systems I: Decentralized Nonlinear Adaptive Control Design and Stability Analysis

  • In this paper a new excitation control scheme that improves the transient stability of multi machine power systems is proposed. To this end the backstepping technique is used to transform the system to a suitable partially linear form. On this system, a combination of both feedback linearization and adaptive control techniques are used to confront the nonlinearities. As shown in the paper, the resulting nonlinear control law ensures the uniform boundedness of all the state and estimated variables. Furthermore, it is proven that all the error variables are uniformly ultimately bounded (DUB) i.e. they converge to arbitrarily selected small regions around zero in finite-time. Simulation tests on a two generator infinite bus power system demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control.

  • To accomplish various and complex tasks by intelligent robots, improvement is needed not only in mechanical system architecture but also in control system architecture. Hybrid control architecture has been suggested as a mutually complementing architecture of the weak points of a deliberative and a reactive control. This paper addresses a control architecture of robots, and a behavior representation methodology. The suggested control architecture consists of three layers of deliberative, sequencing, and reactive as hybrid control architecture. Multi-layer behavior model is employed to represent desired tasks. 3D simulation will be conducted to verify the applicability of suggested control architecture and behavior representation method.
