This study examined changes in the ecological characteristics and design characteristics of Ban's exhibition space in three representative temporary exhibition halls and three permanent exhibition halls designed by Ban Shigeru since 2000. Through the investigation of the concepts and characteristics of ecological architecture, the design characteristics of exhibition space, the analysis framework of the design characteristics of exhibition space and the design elements of ecological architecture is obtained. The analysis results show that there are big changes between the temporary exhibition space and the permanent exhibition space in terms of building scale, space composition, function, materials and technology. On the one hand, the temporary exhibition space used recyclable materials, such as paper tubes, containers to be assembled on site into a single-layer space focused on display. The assembly method was simple and the construction period was short. After the exhibition, the exhibition space were dismantled. The materials were either transported to the next display site or recycled and reused. On the other hand, the permanent exhibition space used reinforced concrete as the main structure, and used a large amount of wood and glass materials to construct a multi-layered composite cultural space that separated the exhibition space and the leisure space. In terms of ecological characteristics, the building materials of the temporary exhibition space were recycled and no industrial wastes were generated after the demolition. The permanent exhibition hall uses eco-friendly wood for the roof and walls, so it is easy to replace and repair. Both types of exhibition halls are changing ecological architecture in a more sustainable direction by saving resources and energy through natural light and ventilation.
Estimation of the parameters for individual rainfall-rainfall events can lead to a different set of parameters for each event which result in lack of parameter identifiability. Moreover, it becomes even more ambiguous to determine a representative set of parameters for the watershed due to enhanced variability exceeding the range of model parameters. To reduce the variability of estimated parameters, this study proposed a parameter optimization framework with the simultaneous use of multiple rainfall-runoff events based on NSE as an objective function. It was found that the proposed optimization framework could effectively estimate the representative set of parameters pertained to their physical range over the entire watershed. It is found that the difference in NSE value of optimization when it performed individual and multiple rainfall events, is 0.08. Furthermore, In terms of estimating the observed floods, the representative parameters showed a more improved (or similar) performance compared to the results obtained from the single-event optimization process on an NSE basis.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of the non-pharmacological intervention on depressive symptoms in the older adults with mild cognitive impairment. A total of 1,147 studies were retrieved from PubMed, CINAHL, PsycINFO, Science direct, KISS, RISS, and DBPia. Twenty-one studies which met the criteria were selected and the quality assessment was conducted independently by two investigators. The effect size of non-pharmacological intervention was estimated using Comprehensive Meta-Analysis 3.0. The overall effect size turned out to be the medium effect size (Hedges' g=-0.68, 95% CI=-1.01~-0.36). As a result of the subgroup analysis, the intervention type was statistically significant. The effect size of cognitive intervention (Hedges' g=-1.03, 95% CI=-1.43~-0.61) and multi component intervention (Hedges' g=-0.97, 95% CI=-1.63~-0.33) was greater than excise intervention (Hedges' g=-0.53, 95% CI=-1.16~0.03). This study shows that non-pharmacological intervention was also effective in reducing depressive symptoms in the older adults with mild cognitive impairment. Based on the research results, it is expected that various non-pharmacological intervention studies will be attempted to improve cognitive function and depressive symptoms of the older adults with mild cognitive impairment.
A sufficient amount of data with quality is needed for training artificial neural networks (ANNs). However, developing ANN models with a small amount of data often appears in engineering fields. This paper presented an ANN model to improve prediction performance of the ammonia emission amount with 83 data. The ammonia emission rate included eleven inputs and two outputs (maximum ammonia loss, Nmax and time to reach half of Nmax, Km). Categorical input variables were transformed into multi-dimensional equal-distance variables, and 13 data were added into 66 training data using a generative adversarial network. Hyperparameters (number of layers, number of neurons, and activation function) of ANN were optimized using Gaussian process. Using 17 test data, the previous ANN model (Lim et al., 2007) showed the mean absolute error (MAE) of Km and Nmax to 0.0668 and 0.1860, respectively. The present ANN outperformed the previous model, reducing MAE by 38% and 56%.
Purpose: This study was to explore the factors affecting on Dietary Behavior Change of the vulnerable elderly based on the Stage of Change. This study examined the factors affecting forms of long-term care service use by elderly and the forms of use are classified facility care service, home care service, and unused. It is used data from the 2nd pilot program for the Long Term Care Insurance scheme and it is analysed 5,497 cases. Multi-nominal regression is used. According to the results, women use formal service more than man do, and wowen use facility care than home care. Those who eligible for National Basic Livelihood Security System(NBLSS) are shown to have higher use of formal care(especially facility care) than the middle income class, and the low income class than the middle income class has lower use of formal care. In addition, higher the family care is available, lower the taking part in the service. The big cities and mid sized cities than rural are used the formal service and moreover mid sized cities are used facility care than home care. Furthermore, the level of care need is determinants of service use and function of ADL, IADL, and abnormal behavior is also determinants of formal service(especially facility care). But nursing need and rehabilitation need are not determinants of formal service use. Based on the results, the recommendations are developed and implemented for the improvement the elderly long-term care insurance.
Objective: Computed tomography (CT) is an established method for the diagnosis, staging, and treatment of multiple myeloma. Here, we investigated the potential of photon-counting detector computed tomography (PCD-CT) in terms of image quality, diagnostic confidence, and radiation dose compared with energy-integrating detector CT (EID-CT). Materials and Methods: In this prospective study, patients with known multiple myeloma underwent clinically indicated whole-body PCD-CT. The image quality of PCD-CT was assessed qualitatively by three independent radiologists for overall image quality, edge sharpness, image noise, lesion conspicuity, and diagnostic confidence using a 5-point Likert scale (5 = excellent), and quantitatively for signal homogeneity using the coefficient of variation (CV) of Hounsfield Units (HU) values and modulation transfer function (MTF) via the full width at half maximum (FWHM) in the frequency space. The results were compared with those of the current clinical standard EID-CT protocols as controls. Additionally, the radiation dose (CTDIvol) was determined. Results: We enrolled 35 patients with multiple myeloma (mean age 69.8 ± 9.1 years; 18 [51%] males). Qualitative image analysis revealed superior scores (median [interquartile range]) for PCD-CT regarding overall image quality (4.0 [4.0-5.0] vs. 4.0 [3.0-4.0]), edge sharpness (4.0 [4.0-5.0] vs. 4.0 [3.0-4.0]), image noise (4.0 [4.0-4.0] vs. 3.0 [3.0-4.0]), lesion conspicuity (4.0 [4.0-5.0] vs. 4.0 [3.0-4.0]), and diagnostic confidence (4.0 [4.0-5.0] vs. 4.0 [3.0-4.0]) compared with EID-CT (P ≤ 0.004). In quantitative image analyses, PCD-CT compared with EID-CT revealed a substantially lower FWHM (2.89 vs. 25.68 cy/pixel) and a significantly more homogeneous signal (mean CV ± standard deviation [SD], 0.99 ± 0.65 vs. 1.66 ± 0.5; P < 0.001) at a significantly lower radiation dose (mean CTDIvol ± SD, 3.33 ± 0.82 vs. 7.19 ± 3.57 mGy; P < 0.001). Conclusion: Whole-body PCD-CT provides significantly higher subjective and objective image quality at significantly reduced radiation doses than the current clinical standard EID-CT protocols, along with readily available multi-spectral data, facilitating the potential for further advanced post-processing.

In this dissertation, a we designed and implemented a patrol robot that integrates a thermal imaging camera, speed dome camera, PTZ camera, radar, lidar sensor, and smartphone. This robot has the ability to monitor and respond efficiently even in complex environments, and is especially designed to demonstrate high performance even at night or in low visibility conditions. An orbital movement system was selected for the robot's mobility, and a smartphone-based control system was developed for real-time data processing and decision-making. The combination of various sensors allows the robot to comprehensively perceive the environment and quickly detect hazards. Thermal imaging cameras are used for night surveillance, speed domes and PTZ cameras are used for wide-area monitoring, and radar and LIDAR are used for obstacle detection and avoidance. The smartphone-based control system provides a user-friendly interface. The proposed robot system can be used in various fields such as security, surveillance, and disaster response. Future research should include improving the robot's autonomous patrol algorithm, developing a multi-robot collaboration system, and long-term testing in a real environment. This study is expected to contribute to the development of the field of intelligent surveillance robots.

This study applies neural network analysis techniques to examine the factors influencing the purchasing decisions of fashion eyewear among women in their 30s and 40s, comparing these findings with traditional parametric analysis methods. In the fashion area, machine learning techniques are utilized for personalized fashion recommendation systems. However, research on such applications in Korea remains insufficient. By reanalyzing a study conducted in 2017 using traditional quantitative methods with these new techniques, this study aims to confirm the utility of neural network methods. Notably, the study finds that the classification accuracy of preferred sunglasses design is highest, at 86.2%, when the L-BFGS-B neural network is activated using the hyperbolic tangent function. The most critical factors influencing purchasing decisions were consumers' occupations and their pursuit of new styles. It is interpreted that Korean sunglasses consumers prefer "safe changes." These findings are consistent for selecting both the frames and lenses of sunglasses. Traditional quantitative analysis suggests that the type of sunglasses preferred varies according to the group to which a consumer belongs. In contrast, neural network analysis predicts the preferred sunglasses for each individual, thereby facilitating the development of personalized sunglasses recommendation systems.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the groundwater level behavior of Geum river basin ($9,645.5km^2$) under future climate change scenario projection periods (2020s: 2010~2039, 2050s: 2040~2069, 2080s: 2070~2099) using SWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tool). Before future evaluation, the SWAT was calibrated and validated using 11 years (2005~2015) daily multi-purpose dam inflow at 2 locations (DCD, YDD), ground water level data at 5 locations (JSJS, OCCS, BEMR, CASS, BYBY), and three years (2012~2015) daily multi-function weir inflow at 3 locations (SJW, GJW, BJW). For the two dam inflow and dam storage, the Nash-Sutcliffe efficiency (NSE) was 0.57~0.67 and 0.87~0.94, and the coefficient of determination ($R^2$) was 0.69~0.73 and 0.63~0.73 respectively. For the three weir inflow and storage, the NSE was 0.68~0.70 and 0.94~0.99, and the $R^2$ was 0.83~0.86 and 0.48~0.61 respectively. The average $R^2$ for groundwater level was from 0.53 to 0.61. Under the future temperature increase of $4.3^{\circ}C$ and precipitation increase of 6.9% in 2080s (2070~2099) based on the historical periods (1976~2005) from HadGEM3-RA RCP 8.5 scenario, the future groundwater level shows decrease of -13.0 cm, -5.0 cm, -9.0 cm at 3 upstream locations (JSJS, OCCS, BEMR) and increase of +3.0 cm, +1.0 cm at 2 downstream locations (CASS, BYBY) respectively. The future groundwater level was directly affected by the groundwater recharge by the future seasonal spatial variation of rainfall in the watershed.
